Donald Trump is apparently still at it Bitcoin and the crypto world. He is launching another NFT collection, and this time it is a set of cards that will live on the Bitcoin blockchain. The collection is known as the “Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards”.

Trump’s debut on Bitcoin

The launch of this collection marks Donald Trump’s debut on the Bitcoin blockchain, just before he takes over as the next President of the United States.

In July, of course, he promised to create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, and this set of cards could easily be a nod to that promise. To do this, he naturally launched his NFT collections on other blockchains.

Could it be a coincidence that he now chooses Bitcoin, or does that have something to do with his plans for the largest coin on the market?

At the time of writing, 29% of the supply has already been minted on Magic Eden. So there seems to be some demand for these Trump tickets on the Bitcoin blockchain.

How are NFTs faring?

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) were of course extremely popular during the summer of 2021, but have now lost that luster. While Bitcoin is now in a new bull market, we cannot yet say the same about NFTs.

How is that possible?

That may have something to do with scarcity. After all, you can create an unlimited number of new NFT collections. Basically they are just generated images, of which there can be an infinite number.

Of course, most NFTs are not that special as art objects. In most cases we are not talking about a piece of art that could compete with Rembrandt van Rijn’s The Night Watch.
