It’s green, it’s everywhere, and it’s being hailed as everything from an anxiety reducer to a glow giver. Matcha, the finely ground powder of specially grown green tea leaves, has officially taken over our lattes, skincare products, and social media feeds.

But is this vibrant wellness staple worth the hype … or just another pretty powder riding the wave of health trends? To separate the facts from the froth, I enlisted the insights of two registered dietitians, Orla Walsh and Liadh Timmons, to explore what matcha offers.
