Higher-than-expected inflation metrics coupled with mixed labor market data (29k September payrolls) have kept monetary policy uncertain. The tension between sticky inflation and a slowing labor market continues to drive intraday volatility.

Yield & Dollar Headwinds: Elevated Treasury yields and dollar strength have served as the primary headwinds capping upside momentum above $4,100.

Central Bank Buying: Institutional support remains strong. Central banks have maintained high purchasing volumes (averaging >1,000 tonnes annually in recent years, with over 280 tonnes recorded in Q2), providing a structural floor near $3,900 – $4,000.

Physical Demand: Seasonal demand in key Asian markets (India and China) continues to absorb pullbacks, helping stabilize spot prices during sharp dips.
