XAU/USD remains afloat as fears mount

By |2025-06-17T20:44:02+03:00June 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

XAU/USD Current price: $3,383.60

  • US President Donald Trump says patience with Iran “wearing thin.”
  • United States data came in below expected as markets gear up for the Fed.
  • XAU/USD trades within a well-limited range amid renewed risk aversion.

Spot Gold set a weekly low of $3,366.25 on Tuesday, bouncing from the level yet in the American session. The US Dollar (USD) spent the first half of the day on the back foot, but remained within familiar levels as market players awaited United States (US) macroeconomic figures, while being cautious amid the Middle East crisis.

The US published May Retail Sales, which fell by 0.9% on a monthly basis, worse than the -0.1% posted in April and the -0,7% expected. Additionally, Industrial Production in the same period was down by 0.2% against the 0.1% advance anticipated. Finally, Capacity Utilization stood at 77.4%, down from the 77.7% posted in April and missing the 77.7% expected.

Additionally, trade-war-related headlines kept coming. On the one hand, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen noted trade talks with the US are “advancing” despite being complex, while adding the EU has a trade surplus with the US, and that could last.”

Finally, it is worth adding comments from the US President about the Middle East conflict, which fueled risk-off, helping XAU/USD trim intraday losses. Trump claimed the US military has full control of the Iranian airspace, adding that US patience “is wearing thin.”

Discouraging US data and renewed Middle-East-related concerns fuel demand for safety.

In the meantime, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is expected to keep interest rates on hold when it announces its monetary policy decision on Wednesday. US officials will also present a fresh Summary of Economic Projections (SEP), with fresh inflation, growth and employment perspectives.

XAU/USD short-term technical outlook

The XAU/USD pair trades in the $3,380 region, and the daily chart shows it has spent the journey confined to a tight range. The pair has lost its positive momentum, but the overall risk skews to the upside, given that technical indicators have turned flat well above their midlines. Additionally, XAU/USD develops above all its moving averages, with the 20 Simple Moving Average (SMA) partially losing its bullish strength, yet holding far above bullish 100 and 200 SMAs.

In the near term, and according to the 4-hour chart, Gold price has room to ease further. The pair trades below its 20 SMA, which caps advances at around $3,406.90. The 100 and 200 SMAs remain directionless below the current level, while technical indicators grind lower within negative levels. Still, the risk-averse environment will likely prevent the pair from falling further.

Pound Sterling could extend correction if 1.3530 support fails

By |2025-06-17T20:40:02+03:00June 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • GBP/USD fluctuates at around 1.3550 in the European session on Tuesday.
  • Technical sellers could show interest in case 1.3530 support fails.
  • The UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) will publish May inflation data on Wednesday.

GBP/USD stays on the back foot and trades near 1.3550 in the European session on Tuesday after posting small gains on Monday. The pair could extend its decline if the support level at 1.3530 fails.

British Pound PRICE This week

The table below shows the percentage change of British Pound (GBP) against listed major currencies this week. British Pound was the weakest against the New Zealand Dollar.

USD EUR GBP JPY CAD AUD NZD CHF
USD -0.17% 0.15% 0.20% -0.17% -0.67% -0.75% 0.09%
EUR 0.17% 0.18% 0.35% -0.01% -0.40% -0.59% 0.27%
GBP -0.15% -0.18% 0.20% -0.19% -0.58% -0.77% 0.09%
JPY -0.20% -0.35% -0.20% -0.37% -1.18% -1.28% -0.50%
CAD 0.17% 0.00% 0.19% 0.37% -0.43% -0.58% 0.28%
AUD 0.67% 0.40% 0.58% 1.18% 0.43% -0.19% 0.68%
NZD 0.75% 0.59% 0.77% 1.28% 0.58% 0.19% 0.86%
CHF -0.09% -0.27% -0.09% 0.50% -0.28% -0.68% -0.86%

The heat map shows percentage changes of major currencies against each other. The base currency is picked from the left column, while the quote currency is picked from the top row. For example, if you pick the British Pound from the left column and move along the horizontal line to the US Dollar, the percentage change displayed in the box will represent GBP (base)/USD (quote).

The improving risk mood made it difficult for the US Dollar (USD) to stay resilient against its peers on Monday and helped GBP/USD push higher. The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran was looking to end hostilities with Israel and resume talks about its nuclear program. Major equity indexes ended the day decisively higher, reflecting a risk-positive market atmosphere.

Early Tuesday, investors turn cautious and allow the USD to hold its ground as the Israel-Iran conflicts enters its fifth day. Citing Iran’s IRNA news agency, Reuters reported that Iran has recently launched a “more powerful” new wave of missiles toward Israel. Additionally, a senior commander for the Iranian army noted that a new wave of hundred of drones will soon hit Israel.

In the second half of the day, the US economic calendar will offer Retail Sales and Industrial Production data for May. A significant negative surprise in the Retail Sales data could hurt the USD with the immediate reaction. Nonetheless, unless Wall Street stages a bullish opening, the USD could continue to benefit from safe-haven flows.

Early Wednesday, the UK’s Office for National Statistics will publish the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for May. Later in the day, the Federal Reserve (Fed) will announce monetary policy decisions and publish the revised Summary of Economic Projections. On Thursday, the Bank of England is expected to leave the bank rate unchanged at 4.25%.

GBP/USD Technical Analysis

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator on the 4-hour chart stays slightly below 50 and GBP/USD trades below the 20-period and the 50-period Simple Moving Averages (SMA), hinting at a bearish tilt on the short-term outlook.

On the downside, the 100-period SMA forms the first support level at 1.3530 ahead of 1.3500 (round level, static level) and 1.3430 (200-period SMA). Looking north, resistance levels could be spotted at 1.3570 (20-period SMA), 1.3600 (static level, support level) and 1.3630 (mid-point of the ascending channel).

Pound Sterling FAQs

The Pound Sterling (GBP) is the oldest currency in the world (886 AD) and the official currency of the United Kingdom. It is the fourth most traded unit for foreign exchange (FX) in the world, accounting for 12% of all transactions, averaging $630 billion a day, according to 2022 data.
Its key trading pairs are GBP/USD, also known as ‘Cable’, which accounts for 11% of FX, GBP/JPY, or the ‘Dragon’ as it is known by traders (3%), and EUR/GBP (2%). The Pound Sterling is issued by the Bank of England (BoE).

The single most important factor influencing the value of the Pound Sterling is monetary policy decided by the Bank of England. The BoE bases its decisions on whether it has achieved its primary goal of “price stability” – a steady inflation rate of around 2%. Its primary tool for achieving this is the adjustment of interest rates.
When inflation is too high, the BoE will try to rein it in by raising interest rates, making it more expensive for people and businesses to access credit. This is generally positive for GBP, as higher interest rates make the UK a more attractive place for global investors to park their money.
When inflation falls too low it is a sign economic growth is slowing. In this scenario, the BoE will consider lowering interest rates to cheapen credit so businesses will borrow more to invest in growth-generating projects.

Data releases gauge the health of the economy and can impact the value of the Pound Sterling. Indicators such as GDP, Manufacturing and Services PMIs, and employment can all influence the direction of the GBP.
A strong economy is good for Sterling. Not only does it attract more foreign investment but it may encourage the BoE to put up interest rates, which will directly strengthen GBP. Otherwise, if economic data is weak, the Pound Sterling is likely to fall.

Another significant data release for the Pound Sterling is the Trade Balance. This indicator measures the difference between what a country earns from its exports and what it spends on imports over a given period.
If a country produces highly sought-after exports, its currency will benefit purely from the extra demand created from foreign buyers seeking to purchase these goods. Therefore, a positive net Trade Balance strengthens a currency and vice versa for a negative balance.

The Best Tea Fragrances of 2025

By |2025-06-17T20:37:59+03:00June 17, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

A little-known fact about me is that I spent the first years of life outside of the U.S. in a charming English countryside town. I have very limited memories of it (I’ve mostly learned about my time spent there with the help of old family photographs and videos), but there’s one thing I definitely carried with me from my toddler years spent overseas: a love for the art of making tea. To this day, I pause to treat myself to a cup of tea every afternoon, preferring herbal over black. However, my adoration for this routine now extends beyond what I can slip into a delicate teacup.

Without even meaning to do it, I’ve edited my perfume collection to scents with tea notes. Over time, I’ve noticed how much more my days reflect the benefits of these notes. For example, when I use a perfume with green tea, I feel centered and energized, and with white, there’s a definite sense of calm and cleanliness that takes over. While I don’t usually drink black tea, I do find that wearing perfumes with black tea notes gives me a confidence boost and adds a hint of edge to my outfits. No matter what tea-infused scent I decide to go with, I’m happy with my choice.

Real Story of a Queer Woman Who Was Outed

By |2025-06-17T19:41:56+03:00June 17, 2025|Fitness News, News|0 Comments

June is Pride Month.

As told to Nicole Audrey Spector

Growing up, I never really thought much about what it meant to be gay, bisexual or trans. I was raised in a Catholic household, and topics of sexuality and gender identity didn’t come up one way or another. I was at some point made aware that my cousin was gay, but she was much older, and we weren’t close.

I went to Catholic school and was taught that marriage was something that should exist only between a man and a woman.

I never thought of myself as anything other than straight. In my early twenties, I was in an on-again, off-again four-year relationship with my live-in boyfriend, Alex*. Things between us were often rocky, largely because he would often cheat on me. We’d break up, but then I would end up taking him back.

I was working for a shuttle service at the Orlando airport with, Marilyn*, a woman I was certain was gay. She’d come by and talk to me often. There was always a bit of flirtation on her end, and that didn’t bother me. In fact, I liked it.

I started to look forward to Marilyn’s little visits. And it wasn’t just because she was nice, had a swag about her or fun. It was because there was a spark between us. We had real chemistry, which was completely confusing. I was a straight woman who had always been in straight relationships and never felt anything romantic or sexual about a woman.

So how could I be getting butterflies over a woman? What on earth was going on with me? Honestly, I didn’t even really want to know. I just wanted to keep everything simple, safe and familiar. I didn’t let myself think too deeply out loud about Marilyn or my growing feelings for her. Certainly, I didn’t let myself talk about any of it with anyone.

2024

Despite being confused and sometimes even stressed about what these new feelings meant, I didn’t stop hanging out with Marilyn. In fact, things escalated. I had to take a trip down to Miami and rather than asking Alex to accompany me on the long drive, I asked Marilyn. She said yes. I didn’t tell Alex or anybody else.

It was that night in Miami that we kissed for the first time. It was unlike any other kiss I’d had. It was softer and yet more intense. From the moment I felt her lips on mine I was hooked. Kissing her was like a drug.

Marilyn and I began spending as much time as we could together. We continued to keep it a secret. She was out but had good reason for being hush-hush. The reason? Her girlfriend. Yeah, it was all pretty messy.

A month or so after my first kiss with Marilyn, Alex caught on because I was always talking to and hanging out late at work with Marilyn. He stopped by the airport once during my shift without giving me a heads-up. Marilyn and I weren’t making out or anything, but I guess it was still obvious that we were definitely more than friends.

I’d always forgiven Alex when he’d strayed, understanding that he really did feel bad about what he’d done. But when I came to him crying and begging for forgiveness the night he found out about me, he had no compassion. Only rage. In the middle of the night, he threw a fit — stormed around the house and ripped it apart while yelling at me. He kicked me out onto the street. As I headed to my car, where I would end up spending the rest of the night, he called my mother. He knew she was one of the closest people to me.

“Your daughter has been cheating on me with a woman,” Alex shouted into the phone as he was kicking me out the house. “She’s going to be homeless!”

I couldn’t believe how completely out of control everything had gotten. I couldn’t believe this person I’d once loved and given so much of myself to, was now outing me — in a most threatening way — to my mother. I was hurt and afraid.

Real Story of a Queer Woman Who Was OutedVanessa and her family, August 2024 (Photo/Kahea Clark)

When I called my mom later, she was upset, but not unsupportive. She has always wanted nothing more than for me to be happy. On the phone, she helped walk me through my feelings and assured me she’d always be supportive. It meant everything to me.

It took a while for everything in my life to calm down and clear up. For a couple months, I lived with my best friend until I was able to get back on my feet. She couldn’t, at that time, fully understand my being in love with a woman. She seemed not totally accepting of Marilyn but supported my decision to be with her as best as she knew how.

Once I got my own place, Marilyn, by then broken up with her partner, moved in with me. But there was just too much drama there, and we ended up parting ways three years later.

I moved to California and it was there that I really opened up about being bisexual. I made a point of exploring my sexuality and becoming part of the LGBTQ+ community. I got involved with organizing Pride events for the company I worked for. Through that experience, I discovered the power and purpose of advocacy work.

I’ve met so many people who are struggling to navigate being LGBTQ+ because they’ve been shunned by their family or by society at large. I never stop to think about how lucky I’ve been to have a supportive family. But I must say, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing.

Some family members judged my sister’s decision to appoint me as my niece and nephew’s godmother in church. Additionally, I didn’t tell my dad I was bisexual until a year after my mother found out because I thought he’d be sad or disappointed. I came out to him when I was going through some drama on my birthday with Marilyn’s family because I was physically attacked by Marilyn’s mother that day. He went dead quiet, then said, “Why do you continue to find yourself around these types of people?”

Vanessa and her partner, Melissa, August 2024 (Photo/Kahea Clark)Vanessa and her partner, Melissa, August 2024 (Photo/Kahea Clark)

That hurt me so much. But over time, he’s come around. He’s always kind to my fiancée, Melissa, and makes an effort to be funny and interested in her life.

It’s been roughly 20 years since that day Alex threw me out of the home we shared. It’s not pleasant to look back on how I was outed and kicked out of my home, but I no longer feel devastated about it. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m grateful he outed me, but I am grateful that the experience led to me finally being myself and living a shame-free life that makes me proud.

I didn’t know how stressful my secret was for me until I was forced to let it go. Once it was gone, life — and love — opened up for me.

I’ve been with Melissa for 15 years, and she’s shown me what true unconditional love is. I’m so much stronger now than I was back then. My strength enables me to be there for others who are trying to find their safe space in the world and to be a voice for people who don’t have one. We don’t all have the privilege of speaking up. For that reason, I’ll never be silent again.

Euro on its Upward Path (Chart)

By |2025-06-17T18:38:57+03:00June 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

EUR/USD Analysis Summary Today

  • Overall Trend: Strongly Bullish.
  • Today’s EUR/USD Support Levels: 1.1490 – 1.1400 – 1.1320.
  • Today’s EUR/USD Resistance Levels: 1.1620 – 1.1680 – 1.1770.

EUR/USD Trading Signals:

  • Buy EUR/USD from the support level of 1.1385 with a target of 1.1560 and a stop-loss at 1.1290.
  • Sell EUR/USD from the resistance level of 1.1640 with a target of 1.1400 and a stop-loss at 1.1710.

EUR/USD Technical Analysis Today:

Based on recent trades, the EUR/USD pair continues to trade within a well-defined ascending channel, which has guided price action over the past few weeks. The EUR/USD pair is currently testing a resistance level near the upper boundary at 1.1540. The currency pair has demonstrated resilience by maintaining its upward trajectory along the lower trendline support of the channel.

Overall, technical analysis reveals that the EUR/USD pair recently approached the top of the channel after bouncing off support levels, indicating sustained upward momentum. However, approaching the resistance level might lead to some profit-taking or consolidation before the next directional movement begins. Fibonacci retracement levels provide key reference points for potential pullback scenarios. Should the EUR/USD pair retrace from its current levels, initial support might appear around the 38.2% retracement level at 1.1532, followed by the more significant 50% level at 1.1502.

A deeper correction could extend towards the 61.8% Fibonacci level at 1.1473, which closely coincides with dynamic support levels.

Trading Tips:

The EUR/USD trend remains upward, but it may face some volatility from the announcement of US inflation figures and the US Federal Reserve’s policy announcements this week, in addition to the extent of investor risk aversion.

At the same time, the moving average formation supports positive expectations, with shorter-term averages positioned above longer-term averages, confirming that the stronger path remains upward. These dynamic levels are trending higher and may provide support for any short-term weakness, reinforcing the lower boundary of the ascending channel. From a momentum perspective, the Stochastic indicator appears to be approaching the overbought region, suggesting that upward pressure might reach exhaustion levels. This situation indicates the possibility of sellers emerging soon, which could lead to a pullback within the channel’s framework.

The RSI (Relative Strength Index) readings show the oscillator fluctuating between neutral and slightly bullish, allowing for further upside before reaching overbought territory. However, any decline from current levels suggests the potential for a corrective phase to begin. Overall, the technical outlook for EUR/USD remains positive within the ascending channel structure, though some consolidation or a slight pullback would not be surprising given its proximity to resistance and momentum indicators.

Today’s EUR/USD trading will be influenced by important economic data, led by the ZEW German Economic Sentiment Index reading, with expectations for a recovery to 34.8 from the previous reading of 25.2. This release is due at 12:00 PM Egypt time. Later the same day, the EUR/USD will react to the announcement of US retail sales figures, due at 3:30 PM Egypt time. These figures confirm consumer confidence and, consequently, spending.

European Stock Prices Rise Despite Global Concerns:

During yesterday’s trading session, European stocks closed significantly higher across stock trading platforms, ending five consecutive sessions of losses. Recently, the easing of concerns that hostilities between Israel and Iran would impede the global economy contributed to higher global stock prices. Recent reports indicated that Tehran is prepared to resume nuclear talks with the United States, signalling its readiness to de-escalate exchanges with Israel, which bolstered hopes that the conflict would not negatively impact global economic activity and energy prices. Financial markets are also preparing for key monetary policy decisions this week, led by the Bank of England, the Swiss National Bank, the Swedish Central Bank, and the Norwegian Central Bank, in addition to the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan outside of Europe.

According to trading activity, bank stocks led the gains as bond yields fell, with shares of Santander, BNP Paribas, Intesa Sanpaolo, and UniCredit rising between 2.5% and 3%. Technology stocks also saw increases, with Adyen and Nokia shares jumping between 2% and 3%. Finally, Kering’s stock rose by 12% on expectations that Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault, would join the luxury goods giant.

Although the testing done by Vita Warehouse Corp. confirmed peanuts were not in the product, the company still initiated the recall out of an abundance of caution.

If you are allergic to peanuts and have purchased any of the recalled B12 vitamins, return them to where you bought them or throw them out immediately.

Seek medical attention immediately if you have a reaction after consuming the gummies.

Vita Warehouse Corp. said anyone who has questions about the recall can contact the company at 1-855-214-0100 or email info@vita-warehouse.com.

Will ADA Surge 15%? Could Qubetics Cross the $10 Threshold?

By |2025-06-17T18:33:27+03:00June 17, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

With the current price of $TICS at $0.3370 and a limited number of tokens left in the final presale round, Qubetics presents a unique opportunity.

At the time of writing, purchasing $TICS at $0.3370 with a $10,000 investment yields approximately 29,674 tokens.

If the token lists at $0.40, that investment grows to $11,869, delivering a 19% gain. However, should $TICS reach $1 after launch, the value jumps to $29,674—a 196% ROI.

In case Qubetics hits $5, the portfolio would soar to $148,370. Should the protocol meet its loftiest goal of $10 post-mainnet launch, the investment would balloon to $296,740, marking a 2,866% return.

If Qubetics reaches $15, the original $10,000 could be worth an impressive $445,110. These figures are not guarantees but are based on market optimism and Qubetics’ unique interoperability value proposition. Market volatility, adoption rate, and competition must be taken into account.
