4 ‘Healthy’ Trends That Need to Stop Now, According to a Dietitian

By |2025-06-10T23:05:04+03:00June 10, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Reviewed by Dietitian Emily Lachtrupp, M.S., RD

Key Points

  • A dietitian explains how carnivore and high-protein fads miss the mark.

  • Plus, nightshades aren’t harmful as these vegetables are full of nutrients.

  • The dietitian also shares why you can skip daily electrolyte drinks and how water is enough for most routines.

From fad diets to trending ingredients, there are so many viral (and mostly problematic) moments in the nutrition space that we’re always keeping our eye on. And we’re not the only ones that are concerned about the internet’s infatuation for “cure-all health hacks.”.

On an episode of the CAPS LOCK podcast, guest dietitian Vanessa Rissetto M.S., RD, CDN took the stage to debunk today’s biggest nutrition myths. Here’s what she notes to be the top four health red flags you should be wary of.

1. Carnivore Diet

Ah yes, the carnivore diet, AKA the theory that exclusively eating meat will help aid weight loss and muscle growth. If this sounds unrealistic, don’t worry: This dietitian has had enough of it.

While getting enough protein in your diet is important, there’s a variety of protein sources that provide more nutritional value than red meat, like fatty fish, beans and legumes, tofu and nuts. And the dietitian does make a point that eating too much red meat is a risk factor for colon cancer. Recent research shows a link between mutations in colon tumors and a diet that includes regular red and processed meat intake.

Of course, any food is OK in moderation, and red meat can provide a great source of vitamin B12 and iron, but anything in excess usually isn’t great for the body. Since this diet does not include fruits, vegetables and grains, there’s a risk for nutrition deficiencies, constipation and more health concerns. A balanced eating pattern is the best kind!

2. Avoiding Nightshades

Nightshades getting a bad rap isn’t anything new, these veggies (i.e. tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants and white potatoes) have been the source of mixed reviews over the years, especially by social media influencers. Are they really the inflammatory monsters you need to be avoiding?

Let’s cut to the chase. Nightshades are not the problem—unless you have an intolerance to them. As Rissetto rightfully asks, “What did the tomato ever do to you?” There’s plenty of research that connects these specific vegetables to anti-inflammatory properties, especially due to their phytochemicals and other essential nutrients.

We have consistently given nightshades the seal of approval, and recipes like a summery tomato sandwich and Breakfast Stuffed Peppers make them all the more enjoyable.

3. Eating Too Much Protein

It’s clear that protein has had a major spotlight through trending recipes, viral fast food favorites and celebrity products. But what if we told you that you’re likely already eating enough protein in your day-to-day life?

“You don’t need to eat your bodyweight [in protein],” Rissetto clarifies. Use our protein calculator to determine exactly how much protein you need, and you will see that it’s only a fraction of your weight. Your body is only able to absorb so much protein, so eating too much may not lead to more benefits.

Protein will keep you satisfied and can help with strength and mobility, but it isn’t the only nutrient you should focus on. Foods packed with fiber and antioxidants like fruits and vegetables have a slew of benefits, from gut health to skin health, and they shouldn’t be overlooked because they’re lower in protein.

4. Replenishing Electrolytes

Electrolytes can help deter you from dehydration after a strenuous workout, a day in the summer heat or if you’re under the weather. But you don’t need to “replenish electrolytes” every day.

“When you go to a 45-minute spin class, you don’t need to replenish anything,” Rissetto explains. “Just drink water.” Of course for special circumstances like running a marathon, having electrolytes is important. In general, water is hydrating enough for your typical day. And many electrolyte drinks on the market have a lot of added sugar, so they’re not ideal for a go-to beverage.

The Bottom Line

Following a healthy eating pattern and incorporating movement into your routine doesn’t have to be complicated, and it definitely doesn’t need to abide by the latest internet trends. At EatingWell, we hold the firm philosophy that a balanced, non-restrictive diet is best, and paying attention to both your body’s wants and needs is key. If you’re unsure of what diet or exercise plan makes sense for you, talk to a healthcare professional or dietitian for personalized advice.

Facts About Lupus Research – HealthyWomen

By |2025-06-10T22:13:56+03:00June 10, 2025|Fitness News, News|0 Comments

About 1.5 million people in the United States have lupus, a disease that happens when the immune system attacks healthy organs and tissues. Of these, 9 out of 10 are women.

Lupus is a complicated disease that can be hard to diagnose and even harder to treat. Scientists are looking at lupus from many different angles so they can better understand what triggers it — and how best to support those who are living with the disease.

Patient-powered research: RAY

Another resource from the Lupus Foundation of America is a data platform called RAY: Research Accelerated by You. RAY allows people with lupus and their caregivers to share their lupus experiences and be actively involved in studying the disease. The information collected by RAY helps researchers develop new treatments and figure out ways to improve the everyday lives of people living with lupus.

Joining RAY involves nothing more than filling out an online survey. Your information is shared with researchers anonymously, meaning it stays 100% confidential.

Observational studies: Lupus Landmark Study

An observational study is one where researchers study a group of people without giving them any treatment or other intervention so they can gather information.

Right now, the Lupus Research Alliance is doing an observational study to help treat lupus. It’s called the Lupus Landmark Study (LLS), and it will follow and collect information from 3,500 people living with lupus.

The Lupus Research Alliance is looking for people to join LLS. You’re eligible to join if you have the most common type of lupus, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and are:

  • 18 years or older at the time of enrollment
  • Able to consent
  • Not pregnant
  • Able to attend required study visits

Patient registries: CDC-funded research

iStock.com/Jacob Wackerhausen

A patient registry is a collection of information about people with a specific health condition or diagnosis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently funding five regional lupus registries across the United States.

These registries are:

  • Emory University (Georgia)
  • Mayo Clinic (Minnesota)
  • New York University
  • University of California, San Francisco
  • University of Utah

The goal of these registries is to help increase understanding of who gets lupus and how living with the disease affects them. These registries also help improve understanding of the ways health disparities affect people with lupus.

Health disparities are differences in health that are linked to bigger issues of unequal resources and social, economic or environmental disadvantages. These differences in health outcomes include life expectancy, health status, and rates of preventable disease and death in a population.

Health disparities are linked to factors such as race, gender, geography, income and access to healthcare. For example: Lupus affects people of all races and ethnicities, but the disease is three times more common in Black women than white women — and they’re more likely to have severe disease.

Experts aren’t sure why Black people are hit so much harder by lupus, but they think genetics, hormones and environmental issues may all play a part.

Finding hope through research

Lupus is a complex disease with a wide variety of symptoms that affects many parts of the body. While this makes it tricky to treat, it also creates many opportunities for research.

Whether you’re participating in a clinic or are in front of your computer, you may be able to contribute to the development of new treatments for lupus. In addition to checking out the resources mentioned above, talk to your healthcare provider about clinical trials or other types of research that may help you — and everyone else living with lupus.

DeFi Cryptos Surge Over 20% on SEC Chair Atkins Spurring Optimism

By |2025-06-10T21:21:57+03:00June 10, 2025|News, NFT News|0 Comments

Decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens UNI, AAVE and SKY all rose by more than 20% on optimistic comments from SEC Chair Paul Atkins at a Monday roundtable discussion about the sector.

Atkins instructed the regulator to explore exemptions to let decentralized finance (DeFi) firms conduct operations without as many restrictions.

“The right to have self-custody of one’s private property is a foundational American value,” he said.

The comments are a stark contrast to those made by the previous commission led by Gary Gensler, which was criticized for stifling innovation by imposing restrictive guidance on crypto firms.

“Can you imagine a starker contrast with the previous SEC’s approach?,” said Noelle Acheson, analyst and author of Crypto Is Macro Now newsletter.

“We expected Atkins to say some nice words around the potential for innovation to unleash new financial efficiencies,” she wrote. “We didn’t expect his support to be quite so emphatic.”

Industry members heralded the event as a symbolic milestone the event ,

June 9th “will be remembered as DeFi day,” Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, founder of Binance, the largest crypto exchange by trading volume posted on X.

“The DeFi Renaissance continues,” said Arthur Cheong, founder and CEO of crypto investment firm DeFiance Capital.

DeFi-related tokens well outperformed an already upbeat crypto market with bitcoin

bouncing to near record prices. Ethereum’s ether , a key hub for DeFi applications, also jumped over 8%.

The broad-market crypto benchmark CoinDesk 20 Index was 4.7% up over the past 24 hours, while BTC gained 1.5% in the same period.

EIA is out with dismal oil and gas prediction

By |2025-06-10T21:13:36+03:00June 10, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

ONG faces opposition over its $41 million rate hike request

Just as we’ve been reporting to you about declining rig counts across the U.S. and in Oklahoma, now comes a prediction from the U.S. Energy Information Administration of falling oil prices and lower rig counts. It means more stacked oil drilling rigs and oil prices of $60 or lower.

The EIA came out with its prediction this week saying it expects the Brent crude oil price to fall to near $60 per barrel by the end of the year and to average about $59 per barrel in 2026. EIA expects the low price of crude oil to affect both U.S. crude oil production and retail gasoline prices in the short term.

In its June Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO), EIA forecasts U.S. crude oil production to average about 13.4 million barrels per day this year, just below the record highs earlier this year. For 2026, the forecast is slightly lower than 2025 levels. EIA expects U.S. retail gasoline prices to average below $3.10 per gallon through the end of 2026, which is about 6% lower than the 2024 average price.

Data source: U.S. Energy Information Administration, Short-Term Energy Outlook, June 2025

Some key highlights from the June STEO include:

  • Global oil supply, demand, and prices: EIA revised its 2025 global oil production forecast slightly upward and its global petroleum products consumption forecast slightly downward for both 2025 and 2026, leading to an expectation of growing global oil inventories. EIA expects oil inventories to grow by about 800,000 barrels per day in 2025 and 600,000 barrels per day in 2026. EIA’s expectations for inventory growth are the primary reason it expects oil prices to decline through this year and next year.
  • U.S. crude oil production: Domestic crude oil production reached an all-time high of 13.5 million barrels per day in the second quarter of 2025. EIA expects U.S. crude oil production to decline from that high through the end of 2026 as oil producers respond to lower prices. Data from Baker Hughes shows the number of active drilling rigs declined last month by much more than EIA had expected. Fewer active rigs affect EIA’s forecast for how many wells U.S. operators will drill and complete throughout 2026. EIA expects U.S. crude oil production to average about 13.4 million barrels per day this year and just below that amount in 2026.
  • U.S. gasoline prices: Another effect of lower oil prices is that EIA expects lower average U.S. gasoline prices through 2026. Regular-grade retail gasoline prices average $3.10 per gallon in the third quarter of 2025 in EIA’s forecast, down 7% from the same period last year. EIA expects retail gasoline prices in the eastern part of the country to be below $3.00 per gallon for most of the next year and a half. On the West Coast, EIA expects refinery capacity reductions to cause a 4% annual price increase next year.
  • Natural gas prices: EIA expects the Henry Hub natural gas spot price to average about $4.00 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) in 2025 and $4.90/MMBtu in 2026, compared with $2.20/MMBtu in 2024.
  • Electricity demand: EIA revised its forecast for electricity demand growth in 2025 upward by about 1% to reflect greater expected demand growth in the commercial and industrial sectors, particularly from data centers and manufacturing operations. This growth in power demand is especially notable in regions managed by the Electricity Reliability Council of Texas and PJM independent system operators. EIA expects that U.S. commercial sector electricity consumption will grow by 3% in 2025 and by 5% in 2026.
  • Electricity generation: EIA expects total U.S. electricity generation this summer will be about 1% greater than last summer. EIA expects higher natural gas prices this summer to result in less generation from natural gas-fired power plants compared with last summer, which is expected to be offset by more generation from coal, solar, and hydro.
  • Trade policy assumptions: The U.S. macroeconomic outlook we use in the STEO is based on S&P Global’s macroeconomic model. S&P Global’s most recent model reflects the tariffs announced in April and includes the 90-day temporary suspension of tariffs granted to certain countries. However, the model was finalized before the ruling by the Court of International Trade on May 28th that temporarily halted all reciprocal tariffs. As a result, our macroeconomic forecast assumes lower tariffs on China’s products compared with last month’s STEO and 10% tariffs on countries subject to the 90-day temporary suspension. These differences in tariff rates likely have offsetting effects on the macroeconomic forecast.

Euro to Dollar Forecast: EUR to See “1.1370-1.1430 Range Today”

By |2025-06-10T21:09:58+03:00June 10, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

June 10, 2025 – Written by Frank Davies

Euro-Zone and US surveys have both suggested a boost to investor confidence, but the dollar has failed to sustain gains with the Euro to Dollar (EUR/USD) exchange rate trading back above the 1.14 level from 1.1375 lows.

According to ING; “It’s hard to see EUR/USD breaking out of a 1.1370-1.1430 range today, with directional breakout risks equally balanced.”

CIBC is positive on the pair; “we anticipate underlying EUR resilience as the broad USD diversification narrative is set to persist.”

Events in Los Angeles will command media headlines. If tensions spread to other major cities or there is an overall escalation, there is the risk that wider confidence in US assets will take another hit.

Markets will also continue to monitor trade talks closely.

MUFG commented; “The talks are taking place amidst growing evidence of the economic disruption from the tariff war. The latest trade report from China released yesterday revealed that exports to the US declined by almost -20% in May which was the largest monthly drop since the start of COVID.”

Saxo chief investment strategist Charu Chanana commented; “The extension of talks and some positive sound bites from the U.S. officials could offer short-term relief, markets are unlikely to buy into this optimism without real structural progress.”

She added; “Unlike the Geneva talks, where tariff relief provided easy wins, the London talks are now tackling thornier issues like chip export controls, rare earths, and student visas.”

TD Securities commented; “A less exceptional US combined with a more confrontational trade policy may drive global investors to diversify away from USD-denominated assets.”

According to ING; “Look out for any updates on US-China trade talks. Any good news is probably a dollar positive in the current environment.”

The Euro-Zone Sentix investor confidence index improved to 0.2 for June from -8.1 the previous month and above consensus forecasts of -5.3.

Sentix commented; “There are signs of an upturn for the economy in the eurozone and Germany in June. The increase of +10.5 points in the expected values in particular gives cause for hope. Euroland is benefiting from a recovery in Germany.”

According to Scotiabank there is scope for further hawkish ECB rhetoric; “We see scope for EUR strength on the back of relative central bank policy as markets fade their expectations for cuts.”

Looking at the US outlook Sentix noted; “The shock caused by the tariff policy in the US is slowly subsiding. Situation scores in particular are rising strongly for the US economy. Expectations are also recovering by +11.0 points, but remain negative in absolute terms.”

It added; “Overall, the global economy is breathing a sigh of relief, even if the US tariff shock has not yet been fully absorbed.”

The US NFIB small-business confidence index improved to 98.8 for May from 95.8 the previous month and above expectations of 96.0.

According to the survey, expected business conditions and sales expectations contributed the greatest to the rise in the Index. The Uncertainty Index rose 2 points from April to 94.

ING notes that the Treasury will be holding the latest 3-year bond auction on Wednesday.

It added; “A poor auction could rekindle the weaker dollar story, where a pair like USD/JPY could lead the dollar lower in a more difficult environment for risk.”

Russia has approved a law on the specifics of the dietary supplements sale

By |2025-06-10T21:04:06+03:00June 10, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law clarifying the state regulation of the dietary supplements market. The Government of the Russian Federation has received the authority to establish quality criteria for dietary supplements and raw materials for their manufacture, depending on the impact on human health. The list of dietary supplements and diseases for which doctors can prescribe them to patients will now be determined by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and Rospotrebnadzor. The document also provides for the introduction of a mechanism for pre-trial blocking of websites with information about dietary supplements that are unlabeled and prohibited for sale. Such resources will be included in the registry of banned websites. The law will enter into force on September 1, 2025.

Medical workers are prohibited from receiving payment and/or gifts from dietary supplement manufacturers. They are also prohibited from entering into agreements with companies under which they have to recommend dietary supplements to patients and accept product samples from representatives.

According to the amendments, it is not allowed to use food raw materials that contain feed additives, animal growth stimulants, including hormonal drugs, and certain types of drugs in the manufacture of dietary supplements.

The Russian government submitted the bill to the State Duma in 2024. The authors of the initiative noted in the explanatory note that the use of dietary supplements according to indications and under the supervision of doctors “will lead to an increase in the market for such products, primarily of domestic production.

In March, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade had developed a number of changes to the labeling rules aimed at expanding the range of labeled dietary supplements and improving the labeling system in this product group. According to the draft, starting September 1, 2025, the list of dietary supplements required for labeling will include new product categories.

Cardano Price Prediction: Can ADA 10x with NASDAQ Inclusion while JetBolt Disrupts the Crypto Space

By |2025-06-10T21:02:01+03:00June 10, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

As recent Cardano price predictions highlighted, a breakout could be imminent if technical momentum sustains. Meanwhile, with Cardano’s price projections topping institutional news, the market is also looking to emerging technologies that are reshaping the broader crypto landscape. One such disruptor is JetBolt (JBOLT)—a zero-gas, lightning-fast altcoin that has already surpassed $3.3 million in presales, thanks to its suite of cutting-edge innovations.

In this in-depth article, we’ll break down the current Cardano price movements, analyze whether ADA can 10x with NASDAQ inclusion, and discover how JetBolt disrupts the crypto space.

Can ADA 10x with NASDAQ Inclusion? A Closer Look at the Latest Cardano Price Prediction

Cardano (ADA) is now officially part of the NASDAQ Crypto Index—a notable development that’s driving bullish Cardano headlines. With ADA currently at $0.7047 and a market cap of $24.91 billion, the most recent Cardano price prediction models allude to 10x targets. But does the data support this? Let’s dive deeper.

Over the past week, Cardano has shown notable volatility, starting above $0.69 before dipping sharply to around $0.62 on June 6. A strong recovery followed, with ADA now trading near $0.704.

JetBolt (JBOLT): The Zero-Gas Disruptor Reshaping the Crypto Space

JetBolt (JBOLT) is turning heads across the crypto world—and for all the right reasons. In the thick of its white-hot presale, JetBolt has already seen over 357 million JBOLT tokens snapped up, setting the pace as one of the most exciting launches of the year. With each passing day, demand grows stronger as whales rush to secure their share of this zero-gas disruptor.

Its mission? To rewrite what’s possible with blockchain with the help of zero-gas technology, powered by the Skale Network. No more paying gas fees to transact—JetBolt makes blockchain activity virtually frictionless and limitless for users and developers alike, unlocking the gates for a new generation of dApps, SocialFi, Web3 tools, and blockchain gaming.

There’s more: JetBolt’s intuitive Web3 wallet makes onboarding and staking effortless, so that these and other on-chain activities are a breeze even for crypto newcomers.

Beyond token staking rewards, stakers also receive extra bonuses for their active participation in JetBolt’s ecosystem. The more they interact and engage, the greater their rewards—transforming staking from what was once a ‘lock-and-wait’ system into a whole new experience that’s both engaging and rewarding.

Unsurprisingly, JetBolt’s presale is moving at warp speed, with daily price increases adding urgency for those wanting to lock in early. Its ecosystem is also already functional, letting early adopters utilize its groundbreaking features even before its first official listing.

For those aiming to maximize their holdings from day one, JetBolt’s exclusive Alpha Boxes are the perfect power play—granting batch buyers up to 25% extra JBOLT tokens, fueling even more excitement as the presale momentum accelerates.

With its user-centric design, hi-tech ecosystem, and state-of-the-art features, one thing is clear—JetBolt is swiftly becoming one of the most watched players in the Web3 and blockchain space. As the days tick by, JetBolt isn’t begging for attention—it’s making the kind of noise the crypto world can’t drown out.

Cardano Price Prediction: Can ADA 10x with NASDAQ Inclusion while JetBolt Disrupts the Crypto Space

More Cardano (ADA) Price News

Current Cardano price models show ADA trading inside a triangle compression pattern, with key resistance at $0.72–$0.80. If ADA maintains support above $0.70, a move toward $0.80 is feasible. However, technical resistance and recent bearish pressure mean traders should watch for sustained volume before calling a confirmed breakout.

More Cardano (ADA) Price News

Cardano (ADA) 7-day price chart showing recovery to $0.704 after sharp dip below $0.62 | CoinMarketCap

On a brighter note, Cardano’s 30-day MVRV ratio (-6.8%) suggests accumulation is in play. Active addresses also jumped from 200,000 to 240,000, and a whale added nearly $600,000 in ADA—both bullish signals.

Still, the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF cannot hold ADA as of yet. A regulatory decision is due by November 2, 2025. Until then, Cardano outcomes depend on ecosystem growth: the Hydra scaling solution, the upcoming Midnight sidechain, and rising DeFi TVL ($318 million).

Realistically, a 10x move to $7.00 requires a full market bull cycle and further adoption. For now, most Cardano price prediction scenarios are initially targeting the $1.00–$1.20 range. Meanwhile, as many users turn their attention to new opportunities, JetBolt (JBOLT) is generating intense excitement with its zero-gas innovation and $3.3 million presale milestone.

Final Word: Cardano Eyes New Heights as JetBolt Keeps the Spotlight Moving

In this in-depth article, we’ve examined the current Cardano price narratives as ADA attempts to reclaim its bullish momentum. The news of its inclusion in the NASDAQ Crypto Index is boosting confidence, but whether ADA can 10x will depend on key resistance levels and ecosystem traction.

Meanwhile, JetBolt (JBOLT) continues to disrupt the crypto space in parallel. With its presale already surpassing major milestones, this rising superstar’s appeal grows each day as whales and users alike seek innovative technologies beyond the current market leaders.

As the week unfolds, both Cardano and JetBolt continue to make headlines. In a fast-moving crypto landscape, both altcoins are writing chapters no blockchain enthusiast should overlook.

Pasé años sin saber que tenía migrañas menstruales

By |2025-06-10T20:13:07+03:00June 10, 2025|Fitness News, News|0 Comments
