Dorien Motten is a Belgian – Georgian gymnast. She is born in Bilzen, Belgium. In July 2018 she graduated from Ghent University as a veterinarian and is affiliated with JEM Genk and Topsportcentrum Gent.

From 2009 to 2016, she was a member of the Belgian gymnastics team, with which she participated in the 2014 European Championships in Sofia and the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow. She also became national champion in the German Bundesliga seven times. She also won gold on the vault at the WOGA Classic in Texas in 2020 that was held at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas from 31st January to 2nd February.

Since December 2022, she has had dual Belgian-Georgian nationality. The intention was to participate with the Georgian delegation in the 2023 European Championship in Antalya. However, she had to withdraw due to an injury to the ligaments of her right elbow. She has been German team champion MTV Stuttgart.

Dorien Motten on Chasing Her Gymnastics Dream

Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Dorien Motten an exceptionally talented Belgian – Georgian gymnast, winner of gold medal on the vault at the 2020 WOGA Classic in Texas, here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, and her success story.

Namita Nayyar:

You were born in Bilzen, Belgium. Where did you have your early education? Your mother put you into gymnastics classes at an early age. You in July 2018 graduated from Ghent University as a veterinarian. You from 2009 to 2016 were a member of the Belgian gymnastics team, with which you participated in the 2014 European Championships in Sofia and the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow. This later propelled your career to the height where for you became the leading Belgian – Georgian gymnast. Tell us more about your professional journey of exceptional hard work, tenacity, and endurance?

Dorien Motten:

I started gymnastics officially when I was 4 years old in the local club of Bilzen where we lived. My mom who had been a gymnast herself was coaching the high level group and took me with her to training sessions already as a baby. I basically grew up in the gym. I was first coached by Karin; she was as former Belgian national team member and competed at European and world Championships for Belgium. I was not an easy kid but she was great with me. When I was around 10 years old I moved on to the high level group and was coached by my mom. It was both a blessing and a challenge to be coached by my mom as a teenager. I was very stubborn and sometimes we would still argue about stuff that happened in training at the dinner table in the evening. But now looking back I must say she did such a good job with me.

I ended up in the Belgian national team, which was my biggest dream. Here in Belgium we have a ‘central system’ which means every gymnast on the team has to train in the national training center in Ghent. I had to leave my home, my mom, my family and friends to go live and train in Ghent. What was my biggest dream turned into one of my biggest nightmares. I was a very positive person, always laughing when I would fall or make a mistake and then I would get back up to try again. That changed after more than a year in the national team. The coaching style was based on fear and terror. They isolated us from our family and made it very clear that they had our dreams in their hands.

It was horrible years I spend there and now looking back I don’t know how I survived that. I do know there is one thing I would always say to myself to keep going: ‘I will not let them take my dreams, if I quit they win so I’m not quitting’. In 2016 I finally decided it was enough, even though I was in the Olympic preselection. It was just not worth that much suffering. Gymnastics is a tough sport and I really like that but there is a difference between tough coaching and abuse. Unlike most of my teammates that quit and never wanted to see a gym from the inside again, I decided to go back to my home club. I started training with my mom again, just for fun.

My mom gave me the love for gymnastics back and we were an awesome team together. We started competing several different leagues around Europe which slowly gave me my confidence back. I started to reach my highest level and after the University Games, where I placed in the around and vault finals, we decided to try again for a spot on the national team. On our terms. The coaches I left in 2016 were still in charge and it was immediately clear they would not give me any chance to compete for Belgium. I still kept trying for over 3 years but they would always have explanation why I did not make the team. It was difficult to work so hard, really deserving a spot on that team but never getting what I deserved. Nevertheless I was not giving up.

After several years of being a successful team with my mother as my coach fate struck. My mom passed away very unexpectedly. This was the biggest setback I experienced in my life and it was a hard struggle to make it back to the competition floor on my own. I knew immediately that I wasn’t done with gymnastics. I needed to go back into the gym and work hard to accomplish our goals, the ones we set together. With the support of my family, closest friends and a big part of the gymnastics community I made it back. I will always be grateful for that.

In January 2023 I started a new chapter in my gymnastics career, competing for a new country, Georgia. I was very determined to reach the goals I had set for myself together with my new team. Starting with the world cup series that would lead up to the European Championships. There I would try to qualify for world Championships and this would be the path towards the Olympic Games. Sadly, I had a setback again. The day before leaving for my first world cup I dislocated my elbow. I needed surgery and at least 6 months of rehabilitation. Luckily one of the best elbow surgeons in the world worked in the hospital close to my hometown and I had the surgery there.

It was a long road to full recovery of my elbow. Because of my elbow I was not able to get to my full potential and qualify for the Olympics this year. That was really hard for me. The weeks before I dislocated my elbow I finally felt good again, I was finally where I wanted to be after all I had been through. It was not meant to be this year but I am sure there is a plan for me and I’m going to have faith that I will get there in the end. I’m starting the new Olympic cycle with a positive mindset!

XAG/USD moves below $32.50 due to easing trade concerns

By |2025-04-17T10:25:42+02:00April 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • Silver price faces pressure amid improving global risk sentiment following Trump’s announcement of exemptions on technology products from “reciprocal” tariffs.
  • Trump simultaneously initiated a probe into potential tariffs on critical minerals, intensifying trade tensions with China.
  • Safe-haven demand for Silver is supported by ongoing uncertainty surrounding US trade policy.

Silver (XAG/USD) is trading around $32.30 per troy ounce during Thursday’s Asian session, paring some of its gains from the previous day. The precious metal is under pressure as global risk sentiment improves following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of exemptions for key technology products from newly proposed “reciprocal” tariffs.

The exemptions, which cover smartphones, computers, semiconductors, solar cells, and flat-panel displays, primarily benefit goods manufactured in China. However, Silver’s downside remains limited as Trump simultaneously launched a probe into potential tariffs on critical minerals, further escalating trade tensions with China. The investigation also extends to sectors like copper, pharmaceuticals, lumber, and semiconductors, highlighting the US’s limited domestic production capacity in these areas.

Safe-haven demand for Silver is also underpinned by persistent uncertainty around US trade policy, along with subdued demand for the US Dollar (USD) and Treasury securities. The US Dollar Index (DXY) hovers around 99.50, while yields on 2-year and 10-year US Treasury notes stand at 3.80% and 4.30%, respectively.

Meanwhile, dovish signals from major central banks continue to support non-yielding assets like bullion. Softer-than-expected inflation in the US, Canada, UK, India, and the Euro Area in March—alongside the PBoC’s potential rate cut this quarter—further bolsters the case for precious metals.

Silver FAQs

Silver is a precious metal highly traded among investors. It has been historically used as a store of value and a medium of exchange. Although less popular than Gold, traders may turn to Silver to diversify their investment portfolio, for its intrinsic value or as a potential hedge during high-inflation periods. Investors can buy physical Silver, in coins or in bars, or trade it through vehicles such as Exchange Traded Funds, which track its price on international markets.

Silver prices can move due to a wide range of factors. Geopolitical instability or fears of a deep recession can make Silver price escalate due to its safe-haven status, although to a lesser extent than Gold’s. As a yieldless asset, Silver tends to rise with lower interest rates. Its moves also depend on how the US Dollar (USD) behaves as the asset is priced in dollars (XAG/USD). A strong Dollar tends to keep the price of Silver at bay, whereas a weaker Dollar is likely to propel prices up. Other factors such as investment demand, mining supply – Silver is much more abundant than Gold – and recycling rates can also affect prices.

Silver is widely used in industry, particularly in sectors such as electronics or solar energy, as it has one of the highest electric conductivity of all metals – more than Copper and Gold. A surge in demand can increase prices, while a decline tends to lower them. Dynamics in the US, Chinese and Indian economies can also contribute to price swings: for the US and particularly China, their big industrial sectors use Silver in various processes; in India, consumers’ demand for the precious metal for jewellery also plays a key role in setting prices.

Silver prices tend to follow Gold’s moves. When Gold prices rise, Silver typically follows suit, as their status as safe-haven assets is similar. The Gold/Silver ratio, which shows the number of ounces of Silver needed to equal the value of one ounce of Gold, may help to determine the relative valuation between both metals. Some investors may consider a high ratio as an indicator that Silver is undervalued, or Gold is overvalued. On the contrary, a low ratio might suggest that Gold is undervalued relative to Silver.

The EURJPY hits the moving average– Forecast today – 17-4-2025

By |2025-04-17T10:24:34+02:00April 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

The GBPJPY pair activated the negative attack in yesterday’s trading, achieving the initial negative target by hitting 187.55 level, then it rebounded to settle above 38.2%Fibonacci correction level at 188.00, to gather the required negative momentum to confirm the continuation of the bearish trend in the upcoming trading.

In general, the bearish scenario would remain valid if the trading settled below the main resistance at 189.90, as confirming breaking 188.00 level makes us expect targeting new negative stations, and 186.50 level represents the next target for the negative trading, while the attempt of breaching the mentioned resistance will cancel the bearish suggestion in the near trading, as there is a chance for achieving some gains by the price rally towards 190.50 initially.

The expected trading range for today is between 186.50 and 189.20

Trend forecast: Bearish

Creatine for endurance athletes – nutritionist on benefits, risks and how to take it – Nutrition

By |2025-04-17T10:21:32+02:00April 17, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Creatine has been having a moment. Once most associated with the bodybuilding scene, recently plenty of athletes and recreational exercisers beyond the benches and barbells of the gym have been singing its praises. But are there any benefits in creatine supplementation for endurance athletes?

We spoke to sports nutritionist, Dr Emily Jevons from Total Endurance Nutrition to get her expert insights on what creatine is, the potential benefits of creatine for endurance athletes and how to take it.

Dr Emily Jevons AfN registered nutritionist

Emily is an AfN registered nutritionist for Total Endurance Nutrition with a PhD in Exercise Metabolism and Nutrition. Emily has worked within a variety of roles within the nutrition industry from being a Lecturer in Nutrition, working with global nutrition companies such as SiS to consulting on nutrition education for British Cycling. She is currently working in professional cycling as a Nutritionist to one of the World Tour Men’s teams. Emily is passionate about empowering individuals with the nutritional knowledge to make their own informed decisions about their nutrition, outside of work you’ll find her being a triathlon-loving mum trying to get the work/training/life balance right!

What is creatine?

Like with any sports supplement, before we start diving into the possible benefits. It’s important to understand what creatine is in the first place. “Creatine is a protein that is made naturally in the body from three amino acids (arginine, glycine and methionine). It can also be found in meat and fish or taken in higher doses as a supplement,” Dr Emily Jevons explains.

“Creatine is available as a single supplement, but it is often an ingredient in ‘all-in-one’ meal replacement drinks and supplement ‘stacks’. The primary dietary sources of creatine are fish and red meat.”

What does creatine actually do?

As a form of protein, creatine plays a role in strength, performance and muscular recovery. Emily explains that creatine “enables you to sustain an all-out effort for longer than usual, and to recover faster between sets.”

“Creatine supplements also help to promote protein manufacture and muscle hypertrophy, increasing lean body mass. It can also reduce muscle acidity, and reduces muscle protein breakdown following intense exercise. This can result in greater strength and an improved ability to do repeated sets.”

Are there any benefits of creatine supplementation for endurance athletes?

An ability to sustain all-out efforts for longer, and recover faster between sets might sound ideal for strength training and athletes competing in rapid fire track and field events where being able to go hard, recover fast and go again is key. But what about endurance athletes, like triathletes, who are predominantly working with a ‘diesel engine’?

Improved glycogen storage

“Creatine appears to enhance anaerobic performance in both men and women,” says Emily. “However, recent research has revealed potential advantages that creatine may offer for more aerobic based sports too.”

One of those benefits is improved glycogen storage. When we exercise, the body utilises stored glycogen to generate adenosine triphosphate, the body’s energy currency which fuels our muscles. “Studies have shown that when consuming creatine during the loading phase (~20g creatine per day) alongside carbohydrate after hard training sessions, creatine may lead to greater storage of muscle glycogen.” (PMID: 27193231)

Reduced blood lactate responses

Alongside helping to improve the amount of glycogen we have available to fuel our muscles. Emily explains that creatine can also promote improved lactate buffering. “Creatine can act as an intracellular buffer, meaning that it can reduce blood lactate responses.” PMID: 23164647

During exercise, lactate is produced as a by-product of the breakdown of carbohydrate. As the physiologists at Loughborough performance lab explained to TRI247, at lower intensities, the body can actually use this lactate as another fuel source and clear it effectively. However, as intensity ramps up, the rate at which carbohydrates are broken down increases which also increases the rate of lactate production. At this stage, lactate begins to accumulate in the blood. Along with it, comes acidic ions which create that ‘burning’ sensation as you reach fatigue.

We refer to this change in blood lactate levels as ‘lactate threshold’. Being able to sustain activity for longer before lactate begins to significantly accumulate in the blood essentially means that you’ll be able to go harder, for longer before you start to hit fatigue. And so, if creatine can act as a ‘buffer’ to reduce this blood lactate response, it can hold benefits for endurance sports performance.

Supports recovery

While creatine has been hailed as a way to speed up recovery between sets in a strength and conditioning context. Emily explains that there’s also evidence to show it can help to support recovery after endurance exercise.

“Creatine also has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects following endurance exercise. Several studies have shown that short-term supplementation with creatine (5-7 days with 20g creatine per day) reduces markers of inflammation following endurance events.” PMID: 34199588

Other potential health benefits

Alongside sport-specific benefits, creatine can also help to support overall health and wellbeing. “Creatine can also provide benefits in other ways, and it’s been linked to many general health benefits,” says Emily. “These include enhanced blood sugar control, improved cognitive ability and brain function as well as many other beneficial observations.” PMID: 33572884

For age-group triathletes managing the constant juggle of work, life and training – better cognitive ability and brain function can only be a good thing when that afternoon slump hits after being up at silly ‘o clock for morning swim training!

How much creatine to take – and are there any risks or downsides?

As with any supplement, it’s important to take time to understand any potential risks or side effects alongside the possible benefits to make an informed choice. So what do we need to know about taking creatine?

“Creatine is safe both in the short and long term, the only side effect known is possible weight gain from water retention but it’s important to stress that not everyone will experience this.”

“The most common creatine-loading protocol is 4 x 5–7g doses per day over a period of 5 days. But this is more likely to produce side effects such as water retention.”

“Instead, loading up with 3g a day over 30 days should produce the least water retention. Generally its recommended individuals should consume 3g creatine a day to support general health as we age.”

Cardano, Solana Snubbed By Experts After Naming This New XRP Rival The Best Crypto To Buy Now

By |2025-04-17T10:17:31+02:00April 17, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Remittix is setting a new standard for cryptocurrency utility, providing near-instant global payments through a lean, blockchain-based infrastructure. The remittance market has two critical problems which Remittix resolves by offering solutions to people who need it most.

Remittix develops consumer-friendly financial products through its PayFi API and direct-bank conversion protocol while reaching global application.

The successful presale numbers debunk the idea that the project is nothing but empty promises. Remittix has become a leading early-stage project by reaching prices of close to $14.5 million in conjunction with selling 528 million tokens during its presale stages.

The market value of Remittix tokens currently at $0.0757 features much more potential evolution in the future once the system goes live based on analyst projections. The project maintains a strong continuing momentum. Presale periods sell out faster than the preceding ones because retail investors and firms actively participate in the sales.

There is inherent scarcity in the platform due to its maximum supply limitation of 1.5 billion tokens. The reward system provided by staking operations increases token value. RTX token holders receive token distribution at 18% APY through a system designed for even distribution to support stability.

Social media activity around Remittix’s ecosystem continues to expand rapidly as thousands of users are subscribed to both Telegram and Discord platforms to monitor project updates along with asking real-time questions. Analysts say Remittix is the best crypto to buy, making it the future of finance; join now and don’t miss out on over 50x gains in 2025!

From Exhausted to Energized: Quick Fixes for Under-Eye Darkness

By |2025-04-17T09:22:38+02:00April 17, 2025|Fitness News, News|0 Comments

By Christina Flach

Whether you’re a mom, a founder, or just living a full life (hi, all of the above), under-eye darkness can show up when your energy doesn’t. I’ve had my fair share of early call times, sleepless nights, and nonstop schedules—but I’ve learned how to fake eight hours of sleep in just a few easy steps. These are my go-to tricks for brightening the under-eye area quickly and effectively, including a few budget-friendly options I always keep in my back pocket.

Step 1: Chill It Down:

Cold therapy reduces puffiness fast. You don’t need anything fancy – keep two metal spoons in the fridge or try a reusable gel eye mask. For travel or events, I love the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox Eye Patches, but an affordable dupe is the COSRX Advanced Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch – hydrating, smoothing, and under $20 for 60 eye patch pairs.

Pro Tip: Celebrity makeup artists often keep mini jade rollers or chilled spoons in their kits to massage the under-eye area right before concealer. It helps de-puff and boosts circulation.

Step 2: Hydrate the Area:

Hydration is key to preventing creasing and helping makeup lay beautifully. I love OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright+ Eye Crème, but for a more budget-friendly option, try CeraVe Eye Repair Cream. It’s gentle, effective, and approved by dermatologists for sensitive skin.

Pro Tip: Don’t rub—gently tap your eye cream in with your ring finger to avoid tugging delicate skin.

Step 3: Correct Before You Conceal:

Color correction is one of the best-kept secrets in makeup artistry. Bobbi Brown Under Eye Corrector is a classic, but Pixi Correction Concentrate in “Brightening Peach” is a fantastic affordable alternative that blends easily and neutralizes blue tones instantly.

Pro Tip: If you don’t have a corrector, mix a peachy cream blush with your concealer— it’s not textbook, but it works in a pinch!

Step 4: Light Coverage, Big Impact:

You want brightening, not baking. Dior Backstage Flash Perfector Concealer and Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Concealer are beautiful, but if you’re looking for something under $15, try Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. It’s iconic for a reason—great coverage, blends like a dream, and never cakes.

Pro Tip: Use a damp sponge and start at the inner corner only—then gently blend outward. Less is always more under the eyes.

Step 5: Add Light, Not Texture:

Skip heavy powders and reach for a brightening pen or a lightweight highlighter. YSL Touche Éclat is the gold standard, but L’Oréal Magic Lumi Highlighter is a great drugstore version that mimics that lit-from-within glow.

Pro Tip: Tap a tiny bit of highlighter above the cheekbone and into the outer under-eye for a natural lift.

Final Tip from Christina:

Great makeup starts with great skin, and that begins before anything goes on your face. One of my favorite morning rituals is a simple, homemade celery juice. It’s rich in water and packed with vitamins C, A, and K — all of which help reduce inflammation, support collagen production, and brighten the skin. It’s a beauty essential I’ve sworn by for years, especially when I want that lit-from-within glow all day long.

My go-to celery juice recipe:

  • 1 bunch of fresh organic celery, washed and chopped
  • Optional: ½ green apple or a squeeze of lemon for a touch of flavor
  • Juice and drink immediately on an empty stomach for maximum skin benefits Hydrated, radiant skin is always the best canvas for makeup — and this is a glow boost that starts from the inside out.

XAU/USD pauses its record run; profit-taking on the cards?

By |2025-04-17T08:24:42+02:00April 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • Gold price hits fresh record highs of $3,358 early Thursday, then retreats.
  • US-Japan trade optimism lifts risk sentiment and the US Dollar alongside.
  • Heavily overbought RSI on the daily chart continue to caution XAU/USD buyers.

Gold price has paused its record run to near the $3,360 region early Thursday as buyers digest this week’s tariff play by US President Donald Trump heading into a light Holy Friday.

Gold price could extend the pullback on profit-taking

This week, the resumption of the Gold price record-setting rally could be mainly linked to the escalation of US-China trade war and the uncertainty over US tariffs’ implementation across all its major trading partners.

Increased demand for safe-haven assets and unabated fears over a potential recession in the United States (US) continued to power Gold price advance.

“Chip stocks across the globe were pummelled on Wednesday after Dutch giant ASML warned that tariffs were increasing uncertainty around its outlook for 2025 and 2026. Also weighing on sentiment was the American artificial intelligence (AI) pioneer Nvidia warning of a $5.5 billion hit after Washington restricted exports of its AI processor tailored for China,” per Reuters.

Aggravating US-Sino trade tensions, China reportedly instructed its airlines not to take any more deliveries of Boeing Co planes, Bloomberg reported.

However, US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chair Jerome Powell’s cautious stance on the interest rate outlook and the US-Japan constructive trade talks remain a headwind for the bright metal, providing some reprieve to the US Dollar (USD).

At the Economic Club of Chicago on Wednesday, Powell said, “for the time being, we are well-positioned to wait for greater clarity before considering any adjustments to our policy stance.” Powell warned of increased stagflation risks due to the likely impact of the US tariffs.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Prime Minister (PM) Shigeru Ishiba said on Thursday that talks with the US were constructive, adding that the government will continue to consider trade negotiations a top priority.

In the day ahead, Gold price could see a corrective decline as traders might take profits off the table on their Gold longs ahead of the Good Friday holiday-thinned markets. Amid tariffs uncertainty, markets will prefer to reposition, gearing up for more tariff headlines next week.

In the meantime, the focus will remain on the meeting between Trump and Italy’s PM Giorgia Meloni, due later on Thursday. Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday that the European Union (EU) expects most of the US import tariffs to remain in place after little progress was made in the latest talks.

Meanwhile, Gold traders will also take cues from the mid-tier weekly US Jobless Claims and housing data.

Gold price technical analysis: Daily chart

The daily chart shows that the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) stays heavily overbought, currently near 75, hinting at a likely correction.

However, if Gold buyers find acceptance above the $3,350 level on a daily closing basis, the next upside target will be seen at the $3,400 threshold.

Conversely, the corrective decline could initially test the $3,300 demand area, below which the $3,250 psychological level could come into play.

Further south, Gold sellers will keep sight on the $3,200 mark.

Gold FAQs

Gold has played a key role in human’s history as it has been widely used as a store of value and medium of exchange. Currently, apart from its shine and usage for jewelry, the precious metal is widely seen as a safe-haven asset, meaning that it is considered a good investment during turbulent times. Gold is also widely seen as a hedge against inflation and against depreciating currencies as it doesn’t rely on any specific issuer or government.

Central banks are the biggest Gold holders. In their aim to support their currencies in turbulent times, central banks tend to diversify their reserves and buy Gold to improve the perceived strength of the economy and the currency. High Gold reserves can be a source of trust for a country’s solvency. Central banks added 1,136 tonnes of Gold worth around $70 billion to their reserves in 2022, according to data from the World Gold Council. This is the highest yearly purchase since records began. Central banks from emerging economies such as China, India and Turkey are quickly increasing their Gold reserves.

Gold has an inverse correlation with the US Dollar and US Treasuries, which are both major reserve and safe-haven assets. When the Dollar depreciates, Gold tends to rise, enabling investors and central banks to diversify their assets in turbulent times. Gold is also inversely correlated with risk assets. A rally in the stock market tends to weaken Gold price, while sell-offs in riskier markets tend to favor the precious metal.

The price can move due to a wide range of factors. Geopolitical instability or fears of a deep recession can quickly make Gold price escalate due to its safe-haven status. As a yield-less asset, Gold tends to rise with lower interest rates, while higher cost of money usually weighs down on the yellow metal. Still, most moves depend on how the US Dollar (USD) behaves as the asset is priced in dollars (XAU/USD). A strong Dollar tends to keep the price of Gold controlled, whereas a weaker Dollar is likely to push Gold prices up.

Carb Blocker Supplements Market Forecasted to Hit Robust Demand

By |2025-04-17T08:20:44+02:00April 17, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Carb blocker supplements, also referred to as starch blockers, are emerging as popular dietary products among health-conscious individuals. Designed to support weight management, these supplements work by inhibiting enzymes that break down carbohydrates into glucose, thereby delaying the digestion and absorption of carbs. Most carb blockers are derived from natural sources like white kidney beans, green tea extracts, or hibiscus flower extracts. By limiting the glycemic index of carbohydrate-rich meals, these products help in maintaining stable blood sugar levels, reducing calorie intake, and curbing appetite-making them a preferred choice for fitness enthusiasts and those pursuing weight-loss goals.

Market Segmentation

The carb blocker supplements market is segmented based on form, ingredient type, and distribution channel. In terms of form, capsules/gels and tablets remain the most popular choices due to their convenience, portability, and dosage accuracy. Powder and liquid forms are also available, catering to consumers who prefer mixing supplements with beverages or smoothies. Based on ingredient type, white kidney bean extract leads the segment owing to its effectiveness in inhibiting the alpha-amylase enzyme. Other ingredients include hibiscus flower extract, green tea extract, and various plant-based blends aimed at enhancing efficacy. Distribution channels are evolving, with hypermarkets/supermarkets, specialty stores, convenience stores, and increasingly, online platforms, offering consumers flexible options for purchase.

Regional Insights

North America remains at the forefront of the global carb blocker supplements market, attributed to its high per capita consumption of supplements and a well-established retail infrastructure. The growing obesity epidemic and sedentary lifestyles have fueled consumer interest in preventive healthcare and weight management products. Europe follows closely, driven by a strong preference for natural wellness products and a mature regulatory framework ensuring product safety and efficacy.

In the Asia-Pacific region, the market is expanding rapidly due to a combination of factors including rising disposable incomes, an expanding middle class, growing e-commerce adoption, and increasing awareness of lifestyle-related diseases. India, China, and Southeast Asian nations are key contributors to this growth. The Middle East and Africa are also showing promising trends, supported by health campaigns and increasing urbanization.

Market Drivers

The surge in obesity and chronic health conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases has increased the demand for weight management products, including carb blocker supplements. These products offer a convenient, non-invasive solution to managing body weight by interfering with the digestion of starch-heavy meals. The growing fitness culture, particularly among millennials and young adults, has further amplified demand. Continuous innovations-such as blending natural ingredients with enhanced bioavailability-have made these products more effective and attractive to a broad consumer base.

Another major growth driver is the expansion of online retail, which has significantly improved product accessibility, especially in emerging economies. With increasing penetration of smartphones and internet services, consumers are now more inclined to research and purchase supplements online.

Market Restraints

Despite the promising outlook, the carb blocker supplements market faces several challenges. Side effects such as digestive discomfort, bloating, and flatulence may deter some users. Furthermore, the market is saturated with numerous weight-loss alternatives, including fat burners, appetite suppressants, and detox supplements, intensifying competition.

Regulatory restrictions also pose a hurdle, particularly in regions with stringent health and safety standards. Governments often mandate rigorous testing and certification, which can delay product launches and inflate operational costs for manufacturers. Additionally, skepticism regarding the efficacy of supplements continues to restrain market growth in some demographics.

Market Opportunities

The growing focus on holistic health and preventive care presents a fertile ground for the carb blocker supplements market. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural, plant-based supplements that align with their personal wellness goals. This shift presents an opportunity for manufacturers to invest in R&D and develop innovative formulations that combine carb blockers with other functional ingredients like probiotics or metabolic enhancers.

The online sales channel remains an untapped opportunity in many emerging markets. By leveraging digital platforms and social media marketing, brands can significantly enhance their reach and customer engagement. Partnerships with fitness influencers and health professionals could further boost credibility and sales.

Another notable opportunity lies in product personalization. Tailoring supplements based on individual health profiles, diet patterns, or genetic factors could create a new niche within the broader market.
