‘I swapped coffee for green tea and now if feels like I have a brand new body’

By |2025-04-13T15:35:52+02:00April 13, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

‘I heard my body scream every hour of the day’

A cup of green tea is Christopher Mergrath’s new morning ritual

For many of us, one of the first things we do upon waking is shuffle downstairs, fill the kettle, and make ourselves a cup of coffee. Whether it’s instant, coffee pods, brewing up in a machine, or caffeine, the day doesn’t start without a strong cup of Joe.

And while there are many studies that extol the benefits of coffee, it can come with unwanted side-effects for some. These include anxiety, increased heart rate and stomach problems.

Also, drinking it too late in the day can rob us of precious hours of sleep by keeping our brains awake too long, resulting in bouts of insomnia. And for some, waking up groggy from the lack of good sleep can lead us to again reach for the coffee pot again just to keep our eyelids open.

So, as delicious and invigorating as coffee can be, it can be good to try out alternatives with less caffeine. Life reporter Christopher Megrath has done just that, swapping out his usual cup of steaming java for green tea to see if it resulted in any health benefits. Read what insights Christopher gained from his month-long experiment below.

Over the course of an eight hour work period I would drink a minimum of four cups of coffee, comprised of two teaspoons of instant granules and milk. This is an insane quantity for the average joe but as an avid java lover it never phased me.

The decision to substitute coffee for green tea was an attempt to improve my health. I’m a victim of bloating and sore heads which I’ve typically connected to copious amounts of coffee and milk.

Summer is just around the corner and I wanted to feel revitalised, putting the natural glow back in my face. I decided the best way to accomplish this is to rid myself of caffeine and chug as much antioxidant rich water as I could.

I’ve never been a fan of tea so this was a complete shock to the system. “Where has the coffee gone?” I heard my body scream every hour of the day.

I switched my coffee intake with a standard supermarket grade cup of green tea, resulting in five to six large mugfuls every day. During weekends, my intake was drastically reduced, averaging around two cups a day.

I only consumed green tea between 9am to 5pm, with an occasional cup before bed – though this was rare. The caffeine flushed out quickly and after just over four weeks of green tea, I feel fresh as a daisy. Let’s get into it.

What is green tea?

Green and black tea are derived from the leaves of the same plants but their distinction lies in how they are processed – black tea is oxidised while green tea is not.

The leaves of green tea are either steamed or panfried to stop the oxidation process. Japan and China have different anti-oxidisation methods which can make it taste slightly different depending on the process.

Green tea contains naturally occurring caffeine, but you can also get decaffeinated green tea. There is a common misconception that a drink containing caffeine can leave you feeling dehydrated, but caffeinated drinks like green tea can be just as hydrating.

What makes green tea so healthy?

Green tea contains a type of polyphenol called a catechin. Catechins are antioxidants that help prevent cell damage and provide other health benefits. The most well-known and abundant catechin in green tea is epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), which research has found may be involved in improving various health conditions or markers of disease.

Scientific jargon aside, research from the National Library of Medicine shows it may help reduce the risk of diabetes, attention, metabolism and improving your gut health.

Some green tea benefits may include:

  • High in protective plant compounds called polyphenols
  • May support focus and attention
  • May promote calm
  • May protect the brain from dementia
  • May boost metabolism
  • May support blood sugar control
  • May reduce diabetes risk
  • May reduce the risk of heart disease
  • May support bone health
  • May improve gut health

The results one month later

The first day was a slog, made worse by the fact it was a completely foreign taste. The next day felt like stepping into a brand new body.

In a few rare instances, I reached for coffee to give myself a good morning kick. The constant consumption of green tea meant the coffee hit my stomach like a truck.

I felt immediately sluggish, bloated and generally a bit gross. If I did opt for a coffee, it would be one at the most, and even then, I didn’t really care for it. I was on the green tea train for the long haul home.

After a month of green tea, I feel brighter and happier. Sporadic headaches have stopped and my face appears fresher. My eyes are brighter – so is my general complexion.

The daily bloating has subsided and I believe I also look trimmer, potentially losing a few pounds across the month. I didn’t track my weight so I can’t say for certain, but I like how I look, which is more important to me.

Green tea is here to stay and I can’t imagine swapping it for any other hot drink. I’ve dabbled in a few new flavours, so I’ll get back to you in May to tell you all about hibiscus tea.

New York City, April 13, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

Introduction: The 2025 Energy Crisis – Why So Many People Feel Drained

Across the globe in 2025, a silent epidemic is gaining momentum. Millions of adults—regardless of age, occupation, or location—are reporting a sustained decline in energy, stamina, and mental clarity. It’s not just the typical “Monday slump.” Chronic fatigue, brain fog, and lack of drive are symptoms of a deeper physiological issue many have yet to identify: mitochondrial dysfunction.

Mitochondria, often called the “powerhouses” of the cell, are responsible for converting nutrients into usable energy that fuels everything from memory and focus to cardiovascular endurance and mood. However, due to stress, aging, toxins, and poor diet, mitochondrial efficiency can decline significantly. As NADH levels drop and oxidative stress rises, energy crashes become the norm—not the exception.

In response to this growing crisis, nutritional science has pivoted sharply toward supporting mitochondrial function at its root. One formulation, in particular, is receiving growing attention from both researchers and consumers: Mitolyn, a mitochondria-targeting supplement designed to restore cellular energy and combat fatigue from within.

As detailed in the latest consumer research update published by Mitolyn’s official website, consumers are increasingly seeking science-backed, stimulant-free alternatives that target long-term energy production rather than temporary fixes. Mitolyn’s recent formula update, transparent label, and commitment to clinical-grade ingredients mark it as a standout in this space.

In this comprehensive investigation, we’ll examine:

  • Why people are suffering from fatigue and energy loss more than ever
  • How Mitolyn’s ingredient profile addresses the root causes at the cellular level
  • What real users are saying—including those who reported complaints
  • And whether the product’s promises are matched by scientific research

By the end, readers will understand whether Mitolyn truly delivers on its claims—or if it’s just another supplement chasing headlines.

For those who want a closer look at the official formulation, clinical research, and consumer reports, the complete breakdown is available at Mitolyn.com.

The Root of the Problem: Why Energy Depletion Happens

For many, the decline in energy is wrongly attributed to aging alone. However, current biomedical research is pointing to deeper systemic breakdowns—especially within the mitochondria—as a more accurate explanation. Mitochondria produce the majority of the body’s energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and when these microscopic generators are underperforming, the symptoms go far beyond fatigue.

What’s Causing So Much Fatigue Today?

In 2025, the average adult will be more exposed to stress, processed foods, environmental toxins, and blue light than ever before. These modern influences significantly impair the body’s natural ability to generate and sustain energy. While many turn to caffeine, sugary beverages, or synthetic energy boosters for temporary relief, these quick fixes often make the underlying issue worse by increasing oxidative stress and depleting mitochondrial reserves.

Clinical reviews have identified a cluster of related conditions—ranging from adrenal fatigue and thyroid dysregulation to brain fog and poor sleep efficiency—that all share one thing in common: disrupted mitochondrial energy production.

Mitochondria and NADH: The Real Energy Engines

One of the primary molecules responsible for initiating energy production within the mitochondria is NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, reduced form). This coenzyme plays a central role in cellular respiration and ATP synthesis. When NADH levels are depleted, cells struggle to convert nutrients into energy, no matter how healthy one’s diet may be.

Studies have shown that restoring NADH can lead to measurable improvements in energy metabolism, alertness, and even mood regulation. However, because NADH is highly unstable in most supplement forms, only specially stabilized compounds like those used in Mitolyn are able to survive digestion and reach the cells intact.

This is why mitochondrial-targeting supplements are emerging as the most promising solutions for chronic fatigue, according to multiple peer-reviewed publications.

For readers exploring science-first options, Mitolyn’s approach to restoring mitochondrial performance—centered on clinically dosed NADH—can be reviewed in full at the official Mitolyn website, where product documentation and dosage information are publicly available.

Next, we’ll explore Mitolynand how its manufacturer’s formulation is attracting the attention of consumers and professionals.

What Is Mitolyn and What Does It Claim to Do?

Mitolyn is a mitochondria-targeted energy supplement developed to address the underlying causes of fatigue, low stamina, and mental exhaustion by supporting the body’s cellular energy processes. Unlike conventional energy pills that rely on stimulants or temporary metabolic boosters, Mitolyn focuses on restoring mitochondrial function using a combination of clinically researched ingredients.

Positioned as a science-backed alternative for adults seeking long-term wellness solutions, Mitolyn has gained traction for its emphasis on NADH, Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), and PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone)—a trio of compounds shown to influence mitochondrial repair, regeneration, and energy output.

Product Overview and Manufacturing Standards

Mitolyn is manufactured in the United States in a GMP-certified, FDA-registered facility, following strict quality control protocols. Each batch is third-party tested for purity, potency, and consistency, and the product is advertised as:

  • Caffeine-free
  • Non-GMO
  • Gluten-free
  • Free of artificial fillers or additives

This positions Mitolyn as a clean-label, high-integrity supplement ideal for daily use by individuals sensitive to common energy-boosting additives.

How Mitolyn Works According to the Brand

The company behind Mitolyn describes its formulation as a multi-pathway support system that improves mitochondrial output by:

  • Enhancing NADH availability to optimize ATP (energy) production
  • Supporting mitochondrial membrane stability and electron transport
  • Promoting the creation of new mitochondria through PQQ-triggered biogenesis
  • Reducing oxidative stress that commonly inhibits cellular energy processes

These claims are backed by a selection of academic studies and expanded upon in a scientific ingredient review published earlier this week. The review highlights how each component of Mitolyn’s formula contributes to overall energy and vitality.

To view the exact formulation, third-party testing standards, and frequently asked consumer questions, readers can visit the official Mitolyn product page. This page also includes direct links to studies cited in the product’s research claims.

Next, we will break down each ingredient in Mitolyn and the scientific studies that support its use for energy, fatigue, and cellular performance.

Scientific Benefits of Mitolyn: Why It’s the Best Weight Loss and Energy Supplement of 2025

What sets Mitolyn apart is its strategic targeting of mitochondrial dysfunction, the root cause of both chronic fatigue and metabolic slowdown. This formula is built upon a scientific foundation that leverages:

  • Enhanced ATP synthesis
  • Increased mitochondrial density
  • Upregulated thermogenesis
  • Improved metabolic flexibility

Each of Mitolyn’s ingredients was chosen not just for its theoretical potential but also for its direct associations with energy revitalization and fat oxidation, as demonstrated in recent biomedical literature.

Mitochondrial Function and Fat Loss Acceleration

Higher mitochondrial DNA = Lower body weight

  • A study on leukocyte mtDNA copy number (PubMed: 27367031) found a strong correlation between elevated mitochondrial activity and lean body composition. Mitolyn supports this through compounds known to increase mitochondrial replication and cellular metabolism.

Obesity impairs mitochondrial function.

  • Research (PubMed: 25972572) confirms that fat tissue in obese individuals shows suppressed mitochondrial biogenesis. Mitolyn counters this with salidroside, anthocyanins, and astaxanthin—compounds known to reawaken dormant fat-burning pathways.

Naturally, lean individuals have higher mitochondrial efficiency.

  • A population study (PubMed: 31374571) demonstrated that high mitochondrial function correlates with persistent leanness. Mitolyn mimics this biological advantage by enhancing calorie expenditure even in sedentary users.

Visceral fat is inversely linked to mtDNA levels.

  • Evidence from PubMed: 24707289 shows that mitochondrial activity can reduce abdominal fat, especially the stubborn kind surrounding organs. Mitolyn’s ingredients are designed to amplify this effect safely and naturally.

Ingredient-Based Scientific Validation

Maqui Berry (Anthocyanins)

  • Promotes white-to-beige fat conversion (Biochem Pharmacol. 2024)
  • Enhances glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity (Cells. 2020)

Rhodiola Rosea (Salidroside)

  • Activates SIRT1 longevity and mitochondrial biogenesis (Oxid Med Cell Longev. 2019)
  • Boosts skeletal muscle ATP production (Bull Exp Biol Med. 2003)

  • Protects against oxidative mitochondrial stress (Antioxidants. 2021)

Why This Collection of Studies Proves Mitolyn’s Superiority

This isn’t another capsule promising quick weight loss or caffeine-driven energy spikes. Mitolyn is a metabolic repair system. The research validates its ability to:

  • Amplify ATP and energy production.
  • Stimulate fat oxidation even at rest.
  • Activate the AMPK and SIRT1 longevity/fat-burning pathways.
  • Reverse mitochondrial degradation and metabolic fatigue.
  • Reduce visceral fat without extreme dieting or exercise.
  • Improve endurance, detoxification, and muscle function.

A recent investigative report into Mitolyn’s formulation called it “a breakthrough in mitochondrial modulation,” thanks to its combination of clinically supported fat-burning and energy-enhancing compounds.

For an in-depth look at how Maqui Berry—a key part of the “Purple Peel Hack”—triggers mitochondrial remodeling and beige fat activation, see the detailed wellness review published earlier this month.

How Mitolyn Works in the Body: A Cellular Energy Perspective

Understanding how Mitolyn functions requires a closer look at its interaction with mitochondria, the essential energy-generating structures in nearly every cell. Rather than delivering a temporary energy boost through stimulants, Mitolyn supports the restoration of long-term cellular energy homeostasis by enhancing mitochondrial performance, optimizing fat metabolism, and improving energy utilization at rest and under exertion.

Rebuilding Energy from the Inside Out

Mitochondria are responsible for producing over 90% of the body’s ATP—the chemical energy required for everything from muscle contractions to neurotransmission. However, age, inflammation, poor nutrition, and environmental stressors cause mitochondria to degrade, slowing ATP synthesis and increasing fatigue.

Mitolyn addresses this process at its root by:

  • Increasing NADH availability, which fuels electron transport and ATP generation
  • Stimulating mitochondrial biogenesis with PQQ and anthocyanins from Maqui Berry
  • Reducing oxidative stress, preventing further mitochondrial damage
  • Upregulating AMPK, the metabolic “master switch” that enhances fat burning and energy regulation

This restoration of mitochondrial density and performance explains why Mitolyn users often report sustained vitality rather than energy crashes associated with synthetic compounds.

Fat as Fuel: The Metabolic Switch

A critical benefit of Mitolyn’s formula is its ability to shift the body from glucose dependency to fat oxidation as a primary energy source. By enhancing the efficiency of mitochondrial activity in fat cells and skeletal muscle, Mitolyn unlocks stored fat as fuel.

Research on mitochondrial markers such as mtDNA copy number shows a strong correlation between high mitochondrial function and low visceral fat stores. Mitolyn’s ingredients, including salidroside, anthocyanins, and astaxanthin, activate these markers to convert white fat into energy-burning tissue.

In a unique comparison of popular supplements, the latest top-5 ranking report identified Mitolyn as the best weight loss supplement of 2025, specifically for its ability to mimic the mitochondrial profiles of naturally lean individuals.

This dual action—boosting energy and burning fat—makes Mitolyn an ideal choice for individuals who want to experience fundamental transformation without resorting to aggressive stimulants or unsustainable crash diets. The complete research archive on how it naturally targets ATP pathways is available at Mitolyn.com.

Who Is Mitolyn Best Suited For?

Mitolyn was formulated for individuals who are not simply looking for a “quick fix” but who want to restore their energy, metabolic performance, and mental clarity at the cellular level. What Are People Complaining About? Investigating Mitolyn Complaints

No product—especially one that has achieved national visibility and clinical interest—is without its critics. As Mitolyn’s popularity has grown, so has the volume of feedback across forums, social platforms, and customer service channels. However, a closer look reveals that many of the so-called “complaints” about Mitolyn are less about the product’s efficacy and more about expectations, timing, and misunderstandings about how mitochondrial support works.

Most Common User Complaints

1. “It didn’t work immediately.”

Many customers expect results within a few days of use. However, Mitolyn is not a stimulant. It supports the body’s cellular energy regeneration, which often requires 2–4 weeks of consistent use to produce measurable benefits—especially for those starting with severe mitochondrial fatigue.

2. “I felt nothing after one bottle.”

Clinical research on mitochondrial biogenesis and NADH levels indicates that benefits accumulate over time. A complete 90-day cycle is often required for visible fat reduction, improved stamina, and mental clarity—particularly in individuals with long-term metabolic suppression.

3. “It’s not a diet pill.”

Indeed, Mitolyn is not designed to suppress appetite or dehydrate users for short-term weight drops. Instead, it supports metabolic recovery and mitochondrial restoration, helping the body burn fat and produce clean energy the way it was biologically intended.

4. “Customer support took a few days to reply.”

Some users have noted delays in email response times during high-demand periods. However, Mitolyn’s team has addressed this by expanding support hours and improving response logistics via the official website.

It’s worth noting that no verified third-party reports have classified Mitolyn as unsafe, untested, or ineffective when used as directed. Its formula is publicly disclosed, third-party tested, and built from ingredients already proven in dozens of independent clinical studies.

Verified Reviews and Third-Party Assessments

In contrast to initial complaints, a vast body of user reviews demonstrates long-term satisfaction with Mitolyn—particularly among those who stuck with it over multiple cycles. Verified buyers commonly cite:

  • Sustained energy throughout the day
  • Noticeable improvements in metabolism and mental alertness
  • Reduction in abdominal fat and bloating

Next, we’ll compare Mitolyn directly with other energy and weight support supplements to see where it truly stands in the competitive landscape.

Comparing Mitolyn to Other Supplements on the Market

In a crowded landscape of pills, powders, and proprietary blends promising better energy and effortless weight loss, Mitolyn differentiates itself through one clear principle: biological restoration over temporary stimulation. While many products rely on surface-level effects—such as suppressing appetite, increasing heart rate, or flooding the body with caffeine—Mitolyn rebuilds the body’s core energy infrastructure by restoring mitochondrial health.

Mitolyn vs. Stimulant-Based Energy Pills

Popular over-the-counter energy supplements often contain:

  • High doses of caffeine
  • Synthetic nootropics
  • Yohimbine or other harsh thermogenic

These ingredients can produce fast, noticeable effects—but often at a cost: jitters, sleep disruption, and adrenal fatigue. Worse, tolerance builds quickly, leading to diminishing returns.

In contrast, Mitolyn is:

  • Caffeine-free and non-habit-forming
  • Designed for long-term energy optimization
  • Clinically balanced to support cellular metabolism instead of bypassing it

Users report smoother, more consistent energy throughout the day, with no crashes and no dependence on external stimulants.

Mitolyn vs. Popular Weight Loss Products

Mainstream diet supplements tend to fall into three categories:

  • Appetite suppressants (fiber capsules, stimulant compounds)
  • Diuretics (products that eliminate water weight)
  • Thermogenic fat burners (often stimulant-heavy)

While these may offer rapid visual change, they do not address why fat accumulates—particularly around the midsection and organs.

Mitolyn offers a different approach:

  • It targets mitochondrial dysfunction, a proven contributor to slow metabolism
  • Enhances AMPK and SIRT1 pathways, which signal the body to burn stored fat
  • Stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis, increasing the number of fat-burning centers in cells

These claims are not theoretical. A recent investigative review of Mitolyn’s unique Maqui Berry extract—nicknamed the “Purple Peel Hack”—explored its mitochondrial effects in detail, confirming a cellular-level mechanism rarely seen in traditional supplements.

Mitolyn vs. Other Mitochondrial Support Supplements

Products like MitoBoost and basic CoQ10 supplements aim to support mitochondrial health, but they fall short in several ways:

  • Most use a single active compound rather than a synergistic formula
  • Few include PQQ, anthocyanins, or AMPK activators
  • Many rely on proprietary blends, leaving dosages unclear

Mitolyn, by contrast:

  • Discloses exact doses of each ingredient
  • Combines seven clinically supported compounds into a single formula
  • Has been ranked among the top five energy and fat-burning supplements of 2025 by independent consumer reviews

To review these rankings and compare Mitolyn to other best-selling options, visit the 2025 Mitolyn Performance Comparison Report for a side-by-side analysis.

Up next, we’ll examine the safety, transparency, and third-party testing protocols that further distinguish Mitolyn from other wellness products on the market.

Safety, Transparency, and Trust Factors

In the competitive world of nutritional supplements, consumers are increasingly demanding clear labeling, ethical sourcing, and third-party validation. Mitolyn has responded to this shift by positioning itself not only as a science-driven formula but as a transparent, consumer-first product with extensive testing and regulatory compliance measures in place.

Clean Label Commitment

Unlike many “proprietary blend” formulas that obscure ingredient quantities, Mitolyn clearly discloses:

  • Exact dosages of active compounds
  • Source origins for its botanical ingredients
  • No synthetic fillers, dyes, or preservatives
  • Free from gluten, soy, dairy, and caffeine

This makes Mitolyn an excellent choice for consumers with sensitivities and those who seek supplements that align with anti-inflammatory or low-allergen diets.

Manufacturing and Regulatory Standards

Mitolyn is produced in the United States in a GMP-certified and FDA-registered facility, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards of safety, sanitation, and consistency. In addition:

  • Each batch undergoes third-party lab testing
  • Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) are available upon request
  • Raw materials are tested for heavy metals, contaminants, and potency

These steps reflect a broader commitment to supplement industry accountability, which continues to be a concern among consumers and watchdog groups.

Full manufacturing credentials, lab certifications, and batch-specific testing data can be reviewed on the Mitolyn official website, ensuring transparency before any purchase is made.

Trust Through Science and Documentation

Mitolyn stands out not just because of what’s on its label but also because of the clinical documentation behind each inclusion. Each key ingredient is backed by human and/or preclinical trials, with findings published in peer-reviewed journals and summarized in consumer-facing educational materials.

Consumers looking for trust signals will also appreciate that Mitolyn:

  • Does not include proprietary blends
  • Has received positive third-party reviews
  • Openly publishes scientific literature supporting its benefits

The product’s rise in public visibility has been matched by thoughtful updates to its platform and purchase model, including a new customer discount initiative announced earlier this month to make long-term access more affordable.

With thousands of daily users and a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, Mitolyn continues to be one of the most transparent, rigorously formulated energy and weight wellness supplements available today.

How Much Does Mitolyn Cost, and Where Can You Buy It?

One of the most frequently asked questions among prospective buyers is whether Mitolyn is worth the investment. Given its clinical-grade formulation, clean label standards, and multi-targeted mechanism, the cost of Mitolyn reflects both the quality of its ingredients and the sophistication of its cellular science.

That said, Mitolyn’s creators have taken clear steps to make the product accessible, transparent, and risk-free through a tiered pricing model and an exclusive official website offering.

Mitolyn Pricing Breakdown (As of April 2025)

Mitolyn is available exclusively through its official website, where customers can choose from three primary order options:

  • 1 Bottle (30-day supply): $69
  • 3 Bottles (90-day supply): $177 ($59 per bottle)

Visit the secure official site to order Mitolyn today or view the current promotional offers. Ordering through this link ensures access to valid product guarantees and eligibility for the full 90-day return policy.

Next, we’ll cover that 90-day satisfaction guarantee in greater detail, outlining how the refund process works and what makes Mitolyn’s risk-free trial a standout in its category.

Refund Policy and Satisfaction Guarantee

One of the most significant concerns consumers have when trying a new supplement is, “What happens if it doesn’t work for me?” Mitolyn addresses this concern head-on with a 90-day, no-questions-asked satisfaction guarantee designed to remove any perceived risk for first-time users.

This guarantee underscores the brand’s confidence in its formula while offering flexibility for customers who want to evaluate results without feeling pressured to commit long-term.

How the Mitolyn Refund Policy Works

If a customer feels that Mitolyn is not delivering the benefits they expected, they can request a full refund within 90 days of the original purchase date. This applies regardless of whether the bottles are fully used or partially consumed.

To initiate a return:

  • Contact customer support via the form or email listed on Mitolyn.com
  • Provide basic purchase verification (email or order number)
  • Follow the return instructions for either opened or unopened products

Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days after returned products are received. No restocking fees are charged, and customers can retain one opened bottle in most cases, even when returning part of a multi-bottle order.

Why a 90-Day Guarantee Matters for This Type of Supplement

Mitochondrial recovery and NADH replenishment are not instantaneous. As noted in Mitolyn’s scientific documentation and echoed in clinical studies, noticeable benefits often take 3 to 6 weeks to develop—especially in users with long-standing fatigue or metabolic suppression.

This means that Mitolyn’s money-back window fully aligns with the biological timeline required to assess the supplement’s true efficacy. Users are encouraged to:

  • Use the product consistently for a minimum of 4 weeks
  • Monitor energy, focus, weight, and endurance
  • Reach out to support if questions or side effects arise

A detailed consumer feedback report confirmed that the vast majority of refund requests came from users who only completed 1–2 weeks of usage—far below the suggested duration for results.

For those still unsure, Mitolyn’s refund policy provides a legitimate, risk-free opportunity to try the formula for 30, 60, or even 90 days—with no obligation to continue if results don’t meet expectations. Complete details can be found on the Mitolyn return policy page.

Expert Opinions on Mitochondrial Health and Mitolyn

While consumer reviews offer insight into a product’s real-world impact, the proper validation of any health supplement lies in the scientific community’s perspective on its ingredients and physiological targets. Mitolyn’s emphasis on NADH, CoQ10, PQQ, anthocyanins, and AMPK/SIRT1 activation is strongly aligned with recent advances in mitochondrial medicine, bioenergetics, and weight management research.

What Mitochondria Researchers Are Saying

Experts in cellular biology and metabolic health agree that mitochondrial dysfunction is a foundational cause of energy depletion, weight gain, and poor metabolic flexibility. Rather than treating fatigue as a symptom, Mitolyn’s approach targets the underlying inefficiencies in cellular respiration and ATP output.

Dr. Bostwick, MD, Functional Medicine Specialist:

“Restoring mitochondrial function is the cornerstone of improving chronic fatigue, cognitive decline, and slow metabolism. A multi-pathway formulation like Mitolyn that supports NADH, mitochondrial replication, and antioxidant protection is much more forward-thinking than traditional stimulant-based interventions.”

Dr. Chua, PhD, Molecular Biology and Aging Researcher:

“The clinical data on AMPK activation, anthocyanin-induced beige fat conversion, and PQQ’s impact on mitochondrial biogenesis make this type of formulation ideal for patients seeking sustainable improvements in energy and body composition.”

The Science Behind Each Mechanism

The following pathways are now well-established targets in anti-aging and metabolic health research, all of which are activated by Mitolyn’s ingredients:

  • AMPK Activation
  • A master regulator of energy balance, AMPK increases fat oxidation, glucose uptake, and mitochondrial capacity. Mitolyn activates AMPK through astaxanthin and salidroside, two ingredients known for their metabolic influence.
  • SIRT1 Gene Activation
  • Associated with lifespan extension and improved mitochondrial efficiency, SIRT1 is upregulated by salidroside and anthocyanins, supporting both energy and fat-burning benefits.
  • Mitochondrial Biogenesis
  • The creation of new mitochondria is essential for recovery from fatigue and improved endurance. PQQ and Maqui Berry are two of the few natural compounds known to trigger this process.

A Scientifically Engineered Formula

Unlike multivitamins or generic energy pills, Mitolyn’s design reflects the most recent peer-reviewed evidence in metabolic and mitochondrial health. These findings are highlighted in both internal documentation and ingredient-specific analyses published across health science media platforms.

For readers seeking a deeper understanding of how Mitolyn’s formula aligns with current mitochondrial research, the company provides transparent references on Mitolyn.com, including links to PubMed-supported studies and ingredient white papers.

Ripple To Flip ETH? This XRP Price Prediction Says It’s Possible

By |2025-04-13T13:31:00+02:00April 13, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Remittix (RTX) is the promising new cryptocurrency of 2025 and has garnered significant investor attention since it tackles cross-border payments in a novel way. However, the attention of most traders is on XRP and whether it has any potential to flip Ethereum’s market cap. Social media hype and the talk on many online panels in recent times point towards the potential of an XRP rally against ETH if certain catalysts fall into place.

Then, we examine Ripple’s outlook, market sentiment, and what could propel XRP to new levels before concluding by highlighting why some consider Remittix (RTX) to be another token worth watching.

XRP’s Road to a Possible Flip

XRP is currently trading at around $2.29, having increased steadily since late 2024. According to an elaborate prediction outlined by an industry expert, XRP needs to hit approximately $3.94 in order to match Ethereum’s market capitalization in case ETH is not rising. Others point to predictions that a 72% rise from current levels could put XRP in ETH’s crosshairs.

Investors in Telegram groups emphasize that a strong driver, e.g., an approval of a successful ETF or a widespread adoption, would trigger this move. Despite all the hype, seasoned analysts caution that flipping Ethereum is not a cakewalk. ETH continues to lead in decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

In a positive shift for XRP, a recent report from Standard Chartered shows a meteoric growth by 2028, which will potentially outprice that of Ethereum. However, skeptics point out that crypto is highly volatile and prolonged bear trends can stall even the most bullish spurts.

Expert Views on Market Situation

Other analysts believe that Ethereum can lag behind because of the lingering regulatory issues and dependence on layer-2 chains. A widely publicized research paper warns that a patchwork of second-layer solutions could undermine the general value of ETH. In the meantime, trackers observe XRP’s 256% increase over ETH since late 2024, adding weight to the theory that a flip in dominance is not impossible.

These gains, however, need to continue for XRP to find sustained momentum for months or years.

Web sentiment is now partly bullish on Ripple after the SEC denied its request for a crucial ruling to allow clearer legal standing for XRP. If the XRP-dedicated exchange-traded fund (ETF) gets approved, large funds could dive in.

But a note of caution from the cryptocurrency legal expert is that increased regulation might slow down adoption. Finally, the subsequent six to nine months could be crucial: if cross-border payments adoption increases, XRP price could skyrocket; otherwise, bull hopes could dissipate.

Factors That Could Drive or Halt XRP’s Growth

Regulatory clarity and ongoing lawsuits remain top concerns. Though some are tallying this as a win for Ripple, any further policy adjustments are feasible to turn the situation around once again. A few analysts are tracking information from a market aggregator recording a wave of OTC transactions from whales as an indication that big capital is preparing for a potential upside move.

If Ethereum, too, recovers, the flippening competition might become even more intense, based on whichever project is able to find larger real-world applications. Another very crucial factor is the broader macro environment. Tariffs or an abrupt market decline can frighten investors, driving them away from riskier altcoins.

While some are optimistic that crypto winter has passed, others warn that a new wave of volatility is around the corner. XRP, as with most altcoins, is supported by positive news and rising volumes. If the excitement fades or Ethereum’s future upgrades create new optimism, the flipping situation may evaporate, reminding everybody that crypto hype always outpaces reality.

Remittix (RTX): A Real-World Payments Solution

In the midst of the hype surrounding XRP flipping Ethereum, Remittix (RTX) stands out for its emphasis on practical usage. Priced at $0.0757, having raised over $14.4 million and sold 527 million tokens, Remittix (RTX) solves cross-border remittance issues by exchanging crypto for fiat in a timeframe of about 24 hours.

Consider the case of a charity sending relief money to a distant region: Remittix (RTX) would save high bank fees and end long delays for local currency. That strategy would attract investors who view the hype-based token as too risky and want projects that address real-life problems. If large e-commerce websites or payroll services embrace Remittix (RTX), the need for the token might accumulate, driving its price beyond normal altcoin momentum.

This pragmatic model may also attract institutional players who seek stable real-world returns. While market analysts exchange arguments regarding XRP’s versus Ethereum’s prospects, tokens such as Remittix (RTX) demonstrate there is more than one way to grow. For investors willing to branch out from front-page-grabbing wars, a coin based on real-world solutions may be a less spectacular, but possibly more stable, investment bet.

If you’re keeping up with crypto for both short-term excitement and long-term importance, balance your portfolio. While XRP’s battle to flip Ethereum is front and center, Remittix (RTX) offers a concrete mission that may hold steady even when market sentiment reverses.

Copper Prices Crash as U.S.-China Tariff War Triggers Market Mayhem • Carbon Credits

By |2025-04-13T11:36:52+02:00April 13, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Just two weeks ago, copper prices were climbing fast due to the US stockpiling ahead of new tariffs. Traders warned that new US tariffs on copper could squeeze global supply. But things turned around quickly. But now, the copper rally has reversed into a full-blown crash.

This is a direct outcome of President Donald Trump’s trade war, aka “Trump Tariffs,” that is shaking the global market. Investors now fear that the new tariffs will slow down demand for copper worldwide.

The Copper Price Shock: Traders Scramble, Markets Tumble

Bloomberg reported, on Friday, April 4, copper prices dropped sharply, along with stock markets. The fall continued till Monday. In the London Metal Exchange, copper prices sank as much as 7.7% before bouncing back slightly to $8,735 a ton.

Earlier, we saw how traders rushed to send copper to the US before tariffs hit, driving premiums as high as $500 a ton. Big players like Mercuria and Trafigura even predicted prices could reach $12,000 a ton. But things changed rapidly when Trump shortened the tariff timeline, giving buyers very few days in hand.

Because of this, copper is piling up outside the US. Global buyers have more to choose from, but many aren’t interested. With demand dropping due to tariffs, the extra supply doesn’t help.

Chile’s Price Cut Signals Looming Economic Strain

Chile, the world’s biggest copper producer, is preparing to lower its copper price estimate for 2025. It’s a telltale sign of growing global economic concerns.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Chile’s copper agency, Cochilco, held its 2025 price forecast at $4.25 per pound in February. This came after it raised the estimate from $3.85 back in May 2024.

It also kept the 2026 forecast at $4.25. Cochilco expects copper prices to stay above $4.00 per pound for the next ten years.

  • But the new data show copper prices to average between $3.90 and $4 per pound this year, which is below its previous forecast.

The final figure will be announced by the end of April. However, Juan Ignacio Guzman, head of Chilean mineral consulting firm GEM, said,

“If the trade war triggers a recession, prices could tumble to as low as $3 a pound — or about $6,600 a ton.”

Chile, which produced 24% of the world’s copper last year, is now feeling the pressure.

In a separate report from the Shanghai Metals Market, we discovered that,

  • Chilean Customs data showed that Chile exported 182,338 metric tons of refined copper, including 33,496 metric tons to China in March.
  • Exports of copper ore and concentrate totaled 1,304,782 metric tons, with China receiving 810,135 metric tons in the same month.

Earlier this year, in January and February, Chile’s copper production dropped compared to the previous month. Exports to China also declined during that period.

Analysts Warn of More Trouble Ahead

The Bloomberg report highlighted that the worst might not be over. Max Layton, global head of commodities research at Citigroup Inc., warned that the global trade shake-up could lead to a historic market correction. Citi now expects copper prices outside the US to average $8,500 this quarter — but they also say the risk of further drops is high.

BNP Paribas SA strategist David Wilson, who had warned prices could collapse, now sees the downtrend continuing in the short term. Goldman Sachs still believes in copper’s long-term value but admits that slower global growth could delay the expected supply shortage.

Meanwhile, JPMorgan now expects the US to fall into a recession this year. UBS estimates that every 1% drop in US GDP could cut output in export-driven Asian economies like Taiwan and South Korea by up to 2%.

China’s 34% Tariff Sparks Copper Stock Rout

Copper stocks have taken a beating amid falling prices, global slowdown fears, and rising trade tensions. The sharp selloff followed news from China’s Xinhua News Agency that Beijing will impose a 34% tariff on all US imports starting April 10.

Here’s a quick look at how major mining companies are reacting:

  • Freeport-McMoRan: Shares dropped 13.1% in a single day. The stock is down 24.1% this week, bringing its market value to $41.9 billion.
  • BHP Group and Rio Tinto: BHP’s shares fell 9.5%, cutting its value to $107.3 billion. Rio Tinto’s dropped 6.4%, is now valued at $93.5 billion. Both saw trading volumes nearly triple the usual.
  • Southern Copper: Based in Mexico, the company fell 9.6% on Friday alone, pushing its weekly loss to 16.7%. Its market value now stands at $62.4 billion.
  • Zijin Mining: This Chinese mining giant lost 7.2%, dropping to a market cap of $56.9 billion. It’s one of the few firms producing over 1 million tonnes of copper a year.
  • Glencore and Anglo American: Glencore dropped 11.5%, while London-listed Anglo American fell 11%. Their market caps now stand at $36.9 billion and $28.6 billion, respectively. Both are down about 20% this week.
  • Canadian Miners (Teck Resources, Ivanhoe Mines, First Quantum): Canadian copper stocks saw sharp losses. Teck dropped 12.1%, Ivanhoe fell 12.6%, and First Quantum slid 12.8% as investors pulled back across the board.
  • Hindustan Copper: In India, shares fell 5.4% over the past five days and are down 15.7% so far in 2025.

KNOW MORE: Copper Prices Slump Below $9,000: What Does It Mean for Global Growth?

What started as a bullish rush has turned into a brutal crash. With tariffs rising and demand shrinking, copper is now a symbol of deeper market fears. Global supply chains are out of sync, and the world’s top miners are feeling the heat. If trade tensions escalate, this copper price crash may face a difficult recovery.

Here’s What Will 1 Dogecoin Be Worth If It’s Used by 100 Million People Daily

By |2025-04-13T11:29:58+02:00April 13, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Amid ongoing discussions about Dogecoin’s potential, a key point is emerging regarding its possible value in a hypothetical scenario where 100 million people use it daily.

This scenario suggests massive adoption and demand. While accurately predicting DOGE’s market value in such a situation is challenging, this analysis relies on suggestions from OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

How Many People Use Dogecoin Daily Today?

Currently, Dogecoin is trading at $0.1620, up 2% in the last 24 hours. This price reflects a massive 49% slump since the start of 2025. Interestingly, this dramatic bearish turnaround in Dogecoin’s price this year aligns with a significant dip in the number of its daily active users.

According to data from the intelligence platform Santiment, Dogecoin currently sees 39,507 daily active addresses. Exactly a month ago, this number was about ten times higher. Dogecoin recorded 391,450 daily active wallets as it traded at $0.1723.

Meanwhile, as of November 22, 2024, Dogecoin reached an all-time high in daily active users, with 1.64 million active daily wallets. This peak in user activity coincided with the coin’s price trading at a three-year high.

At that time, Dogecoin’s price was above $0.412. Just a week later, Dogecoin’s price rose further to $0.4700. However, since then, it has seen a steep decline of over 66%. In parallel, daily active users have dropped by 98%, from 1.64 million to just 39,507 today.

Here’s What Will 1 Dogecoin Be Worth If It’s Used by 100 Million People Daily
Dogecoin active address metric and price performance | Santiment

This metric points to a correlation between high user activity and explosive price performance. Essentially, Dogecoin could see significant price action in a hypothetical scenario where it reaches 100 million daily users.

The Price of Dogecoin with 100 Million Daily Users

When asked, ChatGPT projected that such a scenario could result in a $750 billion market cap for Dogecoin. With a supply of 148.81 billion coins, if Dogecoin reached a market cap of $750 billion, the price per DOGE would be around $5.04.

With Dogecoin trading at $0.16, reaching $5 would represent a 30X gain or a surge of 3,025% from its current level.

ChatGPT emphasized that while this might seem ambitious, it illustrates how demand can drive value. It believes that millions of people using it daily could lead to significant price increases due to heightened utility and market activity.

Timeline for DOGE to Reach $5

According to popular prediction platforms like Telegaon, Dogecoin could reach a price of $5 within three years. However, Changelly argues that it could take until 2034, or ten years, to reach this price level.

Placebo or miracle pills – the truth behind your daily supplement tablets

By |2025-04-13T09:32:42+02:00April 13, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Whether it’s for an energy boost, glowing skin or general health, supplements supposedly do it all. But do they really deliver on everything they say or are we just buying into the hype

Supplements promise everything from increased energy to radiant skin, but are they effective or are we simply falling for the marketing hype(Image: Getty Images/iStockphoto)

I never used to be a supplement person, but somewhere between chasing clearer skin, better sleep, and sharper focus, I found myself popping five different pills a day. And I’m far from the only one. Reports from Fortune Business Insights show that over 60% of consumers worldwide take vitamins daily, with 55% turning to supplements to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

I didn’t wake up one day and decide to become a supplement person. It started small, with magnesium for sleep and vitamin D in winter, and now I’ve got a line-up of powders and pills that I genuinely feel help me function better. And it turns out I’m part of a much bigger shift. The global supplement market was worth around £146 billion last year, according to Fact MR, and it’s only growing as more people, like me, look for ways to ease anxiety, boost energy, support immunity, and slow down the signs of ageing. Whether it’s placebo or the real deal, I’ve noticed a difference, and clearly, I’m not alone.

Placebo or miracle pills – the truth behind your daily supplement tablets

Do we need supplements?

Not everyone’s convinced supplements are necessary. Tracy Parker, a senior dietitian at the British Heart Foundation, explains that most people can get everything they need from a well-balanced diet. “Supplements are not necessary if you can eat a healthy, varied, balanced diet, which should provide all the energy, vitamins, and minerals you need,” she says.

The one exception? Vitamin D. “It is recommended during autumn and winter that we all take 10 micrograms a day of vitamin D supplement because vitamin D is mainly produced within our bodies with the help of sunlight,” she says. “Just a little vitamin D comes directly from foods like milk, mushrooms, salmon, and eggs.”

Millions of people take supplements daily, convinced that their diets alone aren’t giving them what they need. And according to Professor Paul Clayton, a clinical pharmacologist and LYMA’s Director of Science, they might be right. He argues that modern lifestyles have created a gap between what our bodies need and what our diets actually provide.

Some experts argue that the rise in supplement use is a direct response to the disconnect between our modern lifestyles and our biological makeup. Professor Paul Clayton explains, “The modern diet and lifestyle are both dramatically different from the conditions we evolved in. Our genome and metabolome , however, have not kept up, which has led to the emergence of the non-communicable, degenerative diseases as the main cause of illness and death.”

He explains that a lot of people in this day and age are deficient in essential nutrients. However, this isn’t necessarily because they eat poorly, but instead because the food we’re consuming isn’t what it used to be. Professor Clayton says: “Due to low levels of physical activity and the nutrient-depleted but calorie-dense modern diets, most people today are low in most micro- and phytonutrients, which is why supplements are so important today; they bridge the gap which has emerged between what we need, and what the modern diet no longer provides.”

According to Clayton, it’s not just about vitamins and minerals it’s a broader issue stemming from the average diet, “There is a wide range of phytonutrients, such as the carotenoids, xanthophylls, polyphenols and prebiotic fibres, that are lacking in the modern diet, and their relative absence in modern ultra-processed foods hurts us too.”

This perspective is one of the reasons why people have embraced supplements so readily. A study by Food Standards Agency UK showed that 13% of Brits who take supplements chose to do so to combat essential nutrients they are missing from their diets. There’s a growing awareness that today’s food differs from what it was a few decades ago. A 2004 study conducted in the US found that essential nutrients in some garden crops are up to 38% lower than in the middle of the 20th Century. On average, across the 43 vegetables analysed, calcium content declined 16%, iron 15%, and phosphorus 9%.

The vitamins riboflavin and ascorbic acid both dropped significantly. At the same time, protein levels declined slightly, with soil depletion, industrial farming, and processed food reducing the natural nutrients available in what we eat. Supplements, for many, are an insurance policy, a way to ensure they are getting everything their body needs.

But while some see supplements as a way to fill gaps, others view them as a way to optimise their health beyond what a regular diet can provide. Lucy Goff, founder of LYMA, started her brand after realising that most supplements on the market weren’t formulated for effectiveness. She tells the Mirror: “Almost everything I was taking and most supplements aren’t proven to work, and are incredibly under-dosed or not formulated in a way that the body can absorb them”.

Her solution was to work with Professor Clayton to create LYMA, a supplement designed to be backed by scientific research. “The LYMA Supplement can improve sleep, reduce stress, boost energy, enhance skin health, support mental clarity, aid metabolic reset, and promote overall well-being,” she explains.

Supplements are also now being used as a tool for peak performance rather than just deficiency prevention. Which is what’s driving much of the industry’s growth. People don’t just want to avoid illness; they want to feel their best. They want more energy, better skin, sharper focus, and improved sleep. Supplements have become part of a broader wellness culture prioritising self-care and optimisation. Research found in 2018 by the Food Standards Agency UK shows that 46% of Brits take supplements as a way to improve their overall health, while 21% of users rely on supplements for an energy boost.

Do supplements actually work?

The answer depends on what you’re taking and why. If you eat a whole-food, unprocessed diet and live an active, healthy lifestyle, you may not need standard multivitamins. But for those with dietary gaps, high-stress levels, or specific health goals, high-quality, research-backed supplements can be beneficial. They won’t replace a poor diet or an unhealthy lifestyle, but they can support overall well-being, particularly when designed with proper formulation and dosing in mind.

Social media is filled with influencers showcasing their “supplement stacks,” experimenting with nootropics (also known as ‘smart drugs’) for cognitive enhancement and sharing biohacking tips to increase longevity. The supplement industry isn’t just about health, it’s about aspiration, about becoming the best possible version of yourself.

However, this mindset can sometimes lead to overuse. Tracy Parker, senior dietician at the British Heart Foundation, warns that more isn’t always better: “People may think supplements are healthier than food because they contain high levels of vitamins and minerals. But more is not always better.”

Tracy adds, “For example, excessive intakes of antioxidant vitamins such as vitamins A, E, and beta-carotene have not been shown to benefit cardiovascular health and may even increase the risk of death. Therefore, it is a good idea to avoid those supplements that exceed 100% of the daily recommended intake for vitamins and minerals.”

Professor Clayton agrees that taking too many supplements can be counterproductive. He references Paracelsus, Swiss physician often referred to as the father of toxicology, who said: “Everything is toxic, it is just a matter of the dose.”

Clayton explains: “There are distinct and well-known hazards linked to over-supplementing. For example, smokers should not take high-dose beta carotene supplements, which have been shown to increase the risk of lung cancer, or if you take mega-doses of vitamin C, you need to ensure you stay well hydrated to reduce the risk of kidney stones.”

Even within the world of supplements, quality matters. Not all supplements are created equal, and many on the market use cheap or synthetic ingredients that aren’t easily absorbed by the body.

Whether it’s about addressing modern nutrient deficiencies, optimising health, or simply feeling better, the supplement industry isn’t slowing down anytime soon. As more people look for ways to take control of their own health, supplements will continue to be a key part of that journey, whether they truly need them or not.

The joint decision of Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to suspend appeals and pursue a negotiated resolution has ignited positive optimism among market participants. Analysts believe the market conditions and ongoing developments are perfect for a bull run for XRP price action. According to them, $5 might just be the beginning of what awaits the asset.

Around the same time, Remittix (RTX) is easing its way into the spotlight. This new payment network is still in its presale phase and has managed to raise a staggering 14.4 million in investor capital within a short span of time. We will take a look at what’s driving investors to place their bet on Remittix and analyze XRP Price Prediction.

XRP Price Prediction

After years of legal delays and successive appeals, the Ripple community finally has a reason to cheer. On Thursday, Ripple jointly filed a motion to suspend their appeals and cross-appeals in 60-day delay. The suspension of the legal tussle, would see to a pursuit a negotiated resolution between the two parties. Market participants can smell an official settlement and are excited about this positive development.

Several analysts support a bullish scenario for XRP price action. One of them, Steph_iscrypto is increasingly bullish on the assets and gave several reasons to support his claim. According to him, the market conditions are perfect for a bull run. He cited that inflation is down to 2.4%, and rate cuts are incoming, which will lead to more liquidity entering the XRP market.

Market metrics show that the asset is in the extreme oversold territory on the weekly timeframe. The last time this happened was last November which, XRP saw a sharp spike. Steph believes history is likely to repeat itself. XRP price is currently hovering within the $1.90 and $2.00 support area; from a chart perspective, the asset looks healthy.

Earlier in the week, sellers were finally able to break the key support at $2 and pushed XRP price towards the $1.6 level. Steph believes XRP is likely to see a surge if support holds on the daily time frame. He took a step further claiming bulls must be prepared to hold above $1.90 level, because a drop below this level, would lead to further drops towards $1.61 and $1.28.

Why Are Investors Relentlessly Accumulating Remittix?

Remittix is a new PayFi project that managed to put up unbelievable numbers, amid a relatively wobbly crypto market. Over the last few weeks, its ongoing presale has raised over $14.4 million, selling well over half a billion $RTX tokens. Still going at a not-too-pricey fee of $0.0734 apiece, investors are still rushing the project. But why are they relentlessly accumulating RTX?

XRP Price Prediction 2025: Why Analysts Say XRP Is Just The Beginning, Plus New Payments Rival Analyze

Remittix provides a solution that will revolutionize how payments are made across borders. It lends users a platform to make direct crypto-to-fiat transfers to anyone anywhere in the world while guaranteeing zero transfer cost and same-day processing. Experts believe this utility will bridge a multi-trillion-dollar gap and will rival Ripple’s XRP in the long term. Moreover, there are plans to get listed on Coinbase and Binance before the final quarter; a 100x isn’t far-fetched at this rate.

Conclusion

Whenever cross-border transactions are involved, Remittix becomes the go-to payment protocol to adopt—zero fees, instant payment, easy-to-use interface, etc.

Whether it is settling foreign suppliers or accepting crypto donations, Remittix streamlines cross-border transactions, making it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to relate more with one another without friction.

Savvy investors have started making their moves, accumulating $RTX at its lowest price before it embarks on the 100x moonshot trajectory. You should do the same!

Is ‘Konjac’ Actually Good for You? Dietitians Sound Off

By |2025-04-13T05:30:55+02:00April 13, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

A late-night scroll through social media can feed you a whole bunch of dietary advice. You’ll see some (typically overstated) reports that a trendy food or supplement is a one-stop-shop for curing all of life’s pain points, from improving gut health to weight loss (which may not even be necessary). Konjac is a popular ingredient in low-carb diets like keto.

“Konjac is a root vegetable native to Southeast Asia, often used as a low-carbohydrate alternative to aid in weight management and digestive health due to its unique soluble fiber, known as glucomannan,” explains Michelle Routhenstein, MS, RD, CDCES, CDN, a preventive cardiology dietitian and certified diabetes educator at EntirelyNourished.com.

Does konjac live up to the hype? Registered dietitians gave the 4-1-1 on konjac, including its reported benefits, risks, taste and where you’ll find it.

What Is Konjac?

TL;DR: Konjac (pronounced kaan-jak) is a root perennial plant with origins in China and Southeast Asia, explains Jessie Anderson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD, ACSM EP-C, a registered dietitian with Top Nutrition Coaching. She says that you may see it referred to as devil’s tongue, elephant yam, snake palm, voodoo lily and konnyaku potato.

Anderson explains that Konjac plant roots are starchy and edible.

“[They are] high in soluble fiber while low in calories, carbohydrate and fat,” she adds.

As a result, Anderson reports that konjac, which has a 2,000-year history in China and Southeast Asia, has gained favor in the U.S. for its potential use in preventing and treating cardiometabolic, gastrointestinal and immunological conditions. You’ll often find it manufactured into flour, jelly, noodles and dietary supplements.

“Konjac contains the water-soluble dietary fiber called glucomannan. According to a 2024 Nutrientsstudy, glucomannan can delay stomach emptying, prolong satiety and help with weight loss.

That may sound familiar—GLP-1s like Ozempic have a similar effect. However, unlike Ozempic, supplements are not regulated as drugs by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA doesn’t approve dietary supplements for safety and effectiveness before they hit shelves. In 2021, the FDA sent a warning letter to Genesis Nutrition Ultra Slim about one of its weight loss supplements with konjac regarding pharmaceutical ingredients it contained that were known for heart attack and stroke risks.

Routhenstein recommends consulting a doctor before taking any supplements, including ones containing konjac.

“It may interact with certain medications that help lower blood sugar levels during meals, as it slows down the absorption of food,” Routhenstein says. “It is best to consult your healthcare team to determine if it’s a suitable option for you.”

What Does Konjac Taste Like?

Not much. “Konjac has a neutral taste that allows it to absorb the flavors of the ingredients added to it, while its texture is slightly rubbery and gelatinous,” Routhenstein says.

In other words, konjac is a chameleon, adapting its taste to the main dish’s, according to Anderson. If you do taste a little something, it may remind you of a time you hung zero during a surfing lesson and got a cool drink of water you didn’t want.

“It carries a slight salty ocean-like taste,” she explains.

Where To Find Konjac and How To Cook With It

Routhenstein reports that you can often find konjac in health food and Asian grocery stores. Konjac comes in various forms, which dictate how you’ll use it in recipes.

Anderson says the most popular ways to use konjac are:

  • Konjac flour. Take a seat, sourdough.Anderson says konjac flour is frequently used to prepare gluten-free breads, shirataki noodles and shirataki rice.

  • Konjac jelly. This one is for the sweet tooths. “Konjac jelly is often used in the preparation of low-calorie, fiber-rich desserts and snacks,” Anderson explains. “Due to its stable gel-like texture, Konjac is often used as a vegan-friendly alternative to gelatin in desserts, puddings and candies.”

  • Dietary supplements. Anderson notes that konjac glucomannan is a good source of soluble fiber, so it is often manufactured into dietary supplements that promise to help with diarrhea, cardiometabolic and gastrointestinal health.

Is Konjac Good For You? 3 Potential Benefits

1. Cholesterol

Anderson points to recent research showing that konjac may have cholesterol-improving effects. It contains glucomannan. In 2020, the FDA noted that glucomannan may help lower blood cholesterol levels, which was a big reason why the federal agency moved to expand the definition of dietary fiber to include glucomannan.

A 2021 Biomoleculesreview also indicated that konjac could improve blood cholesterol.

2. Blood sugar

The 2021 Biomolecules review also suggested that konjac could help lower blood sugar levels. A 2022 Food Science and Technology review even suggested that konjac might help treat and prevent diabetes.

“Konjac aids in the slowing of digestion while enhancing activity of enzymes involved in glucose metabolism,” Anderson says.

She explains that these properties improve insulin sensitivity and prevent significant blood sugar spikes after you eat.

3. Gut health

Gut health has become buzzy of late, but the 2021 Biomolecules review had some data that indicated that konjac may, in fact, boost digestion.

“The unique fiber in konjac can support gut health because it acts as a prebiotic, feeding beneficial gut bacteria and helping with bowel movements,” Routhenstein explains.

Risks of Konjac

Supplements can be recalled or raise alarm bells. We mentioned above how the FDA raised alarm bells about the ingredients in Genesis Ultra Slim. Plus, supplements can interfere with or interact poorly with medications, so it is important to speak with a doctor and dietitian and check for recalls on products you are interested in.

Besides those basics—which are true for any supplement—Anderson says you’ll also want to be mindful of the fiber in konjac. Fiber is important, but she points out that many people aren’t consuming enough (38 grams per day for men and 25 grams per day for women).

“It is encouraged to increase gradually dietary fiber intake by three to four every three to four days,” Anderson says.

Before increasing your intake, ensure you’re not experiencing unwanted side effects like bloating, cramping and hiccups. Drinking plenty of fluids will help with digestion. Also, konjac’s gel-like texture can be a choking hazard for some.

“It is recommended for those who have difficulty swallowing and for young children to avoid Konjac,” Anderson explains.
