Goldman Sachs Cuts Oil Price Forecasts

By |2025-03-17T04:02:28+02:00March 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Goldman Sachs Group Inc has cut its oil price forecasts, citing weaker US growth due to tariffs and increased output from OPEC and its allies.

The bank now expects Brent crude to reach US$71 per barrel in December, down US$5 from its previous estimate, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is projected at US$67. Analysts, including Daan Struyven, noted in a report dated Sunday that Brent will trade within a US$65 to US$80 range and average US$68 next year.

“The medium-term risks to our forecast remain to the downside given potential further tariff escalation and potentially longer OPEC+ production increases,” the analysts stated.

Goldman has also revised its forecast for oil demand growth this year, lowering it by 18% to 900,000 barrels per day due to a slowing US economy driven by higher tariffs. Additional supply from OPEC and its allies has also contributed to a more balanced market.

Brent crude was trading around US$71 on Monday, having declined roughly 14% from its peak in January.

Green tea scientifically proven as secret hangover cure

By |2025-03-17T03:52:59+02:00March 17, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

While most hangovers eventually fade on their own, some can linger for a full day, or perhaps longer.

But now scientific research conducted by Britsuperstore has revealed the secret to avoiding a hangover – green tea.

How many cups of tea/coffee should you drink in a day?

How green tea prevents hangovers

Green tea contains “powerful” antioxidants called catechins which help accelerate the liver’s ability to metabolise alcohol, Britsuperstore owner Richard Price explained.

He added: “These antioxidants reduce the oxidative stress caused by alcohol, helping to minimise the harmful effects it can have on your body.

“While drinking green tea won’t guarantee a completely hangover-free morning, it can certainly support your body’s natural detox process and potentially reduce common hangover symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and dehydration.

“Green tea also helps with hydration, a key element in post-drinking recovery.”

Mr Price said when you drink alcohol, your liver works overtime to break down and process toxins which can lead to an imbalance in your body’s systems.

This is what causes the dreaded hangover symptoms.

@uktoday_ Are there benefits to drinking red wine? I happily found out. 🍷 #uknews #redwine #winetimе #uknewsheadlines ♬ original sound – UKToday 🇬🇧 Newsquest

Green tea’s antioxidants can help:

  • Reduce liver inflammation
  • Improve liver function
  • Boost your body’s ability to flush out toxins faster

The Britsuperstore owner added: “If you’re looking for a natural, soothing remedy to help get back on track, green tea might be one of the easiest ways to support your recovery.”

Food and drink to avoid to help prevent a hangover

Along with having a cup of green tea, Mr Price said there were also a few things to avoid consuming to help prevent a hangover. This included:

  • Coffee – as it will dehydrate you even more, worsening your hangover the next day.
  • Processed food with refined carbs and added sugar –  these are consumed faster by the body and don’t have the shielding effects of other ingredients.
  • Foods with high salt content – they can dehydrate you which will make you reach for more drinks (which will dehydrate you even further).

It’s not just the experts who recommend green tea as the ultimate hangover cure, but also everyday Brits who have tried the remedy with great success.

A Reddit user, commenting on a post about “healthy hangover cures”, said: “A good cup of green tea takes the edge off of even the worse of ’em.”

Another added: “Always works for me.”

While a third green tea drinker commented: “Wonderful hangover cure.”

Bullish Indicators Predict Explosive Growth To $15

By |2025-03-17T03:46:09+02:00March 17, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

  • TD Sequential flashes buy signal, suggesting XRP rebound.
  • RSI breakout mirrors previous surges, signaling possible rally.
  • XRP’s symmetrical triangle breakout hints at a $15 target.

XRP has recently shown several strong technical indicators that suggest potential price recovery in the next few days. The market observes these indicators closely because both short-term and long-term patterns indicate potential growth. TD Sequential buy indicators and momentum fluctuations support further additional upward price movement.

XRP Technical Indicators Suggest Potential Bullish Movement

The TD Sequential indicator on the hourly time frame flashed a clear buy pattern which indicates that a short-term price recovery might take place. The data demonstrates a continued decline in XRP price which has produced a potential buying opportunity. The accumulation phase depicted within the chart indicates XRP will likely have upward movement if the current market pattern continues.

XRP’s RSI (Relative Strength Index) for XRP experienced a major breakout from its key downtrend which indicates an important momentum. A similar price breakout in the past produced a 470% surge in the price of XRP. Technical analysts project a major XRP price rally which is supported by its present RSI pattern. The current RSI upward movement aligns with past momentum breakouts which led to a surge in XRP price and positions it for similar price movement.

Analysis of the weekly time frame indicates XRP’s breakout from its symmetrical triangle pattern. The breakout marks the end of a prolonged period of price consolidation positions XRP for substantial value increases in the near future. Traders eye $15 as their target price after a recent breakout which points to a potential signal bull run. XRP’s price is poised for growth if it maintains an upward momentum and breaks key resistance barriers.

XRP Price Prediction: Bullish Indicators Predict Explosive Growth to $15 4

The XRP price shows resistance at $2.31 on the daily time frame amid a recent pullback from its peak levels. However, the current price stands in a strong support zone which positions XRP for another price surge. XRP’s price action shows bullish factors so traders continue to wait for additional confirmation to determine if the recent support level will hold.

XRP faced a minor price decline in the last 24 hours before it stabilized above $2.30. However, the brief decline did not affect the upward momentum experienced by XRP in the past weeks. XRP price holds a strong potential to rebound from the $2.30 zone which previously acted as a consolidation zone.

XRP Price Prediction: Bullish Indicators Predict Explosive Growth to $15 5

Technical indicators and current price patterns in XRP show a positive outlook for future price movement. XRP might continue its substantial price gains if it remains above its critical support levels. XRP’s upcoming price movements will prove essential for traders who seek to benefit from a potential rally because various indicators point to a bullish price action. Traders should monitor the price movement for confirmation indicators or reversal signs in the coming days.

Barclays Slashes Oil Price Forecast on 500,000 Bpd Demand Growth Cut

By |2025-03-17T02:01:02+02:00March 17, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Barclays sees Brent Crude prices at $74 per barrel this year, down by $9 from its previous forecast, as it slashed its global demand growth estimate in mounting economic uncertainties.

“We turn neutral on oil prices relative to the curve and consensus, as we revise down our 2025 demand outlook 510,000 barrels per day due to soft high?-?frequency indicators and elevated economic uncertainty,” Barclays analysts wrote in a note on Friday carried by Reuters.

The UK-based bank now sees this year’s demand growth at 900,000 bpd.

But Barclays is not turning bearish on future oil prices as inventories around the world are still at low levels and some producers could slow supply growth due to softer prices.

“However, we do not turn bearish relative to the curve, as inventories are low and still declining, and risks to the supply outlook are also skewed to the downside, due to price-sensitive producers pulling back and geopolitical tensions,” the bank’s analysts wrote.

Barclays expects U.S. crude oil production to increase by the end of this year by just 200,000 bpd compared to the end of the fourth quarter of 2024.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its monthly report on Thursday that its current balances suggest global oil supply may exceed demand by around 600,000 bpd this year.

“If OPEC+ extends the unwinding of output cuts beyond April without reining in supply from members currently overproducing versus their targets, another 400 kb/d could be added to the market,” the IEA said.

The Paris-based agency expects growth in global oil demand to be just over 1 million bpd this year, reaching 103.9 million bpd.

OPEC, however, sees robust oil demand growth this year and next, expecting consumption to rise by 1.4 million bpd in each of 2025 and 2026.

Early on Friday, Brent Crude prices were trading just above the $70 per barrel mark, marginally higher on the day, propped up by a new round of U.S. sanctions targeting Iran’s oil industry.

Doctor reveals six hugely popular supplements that might be causing silent health crises in your body

By |2025-03-17T01:52:02+02:00March 17, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

While beneficial in regular doses, taking too much of a vitamin or supplement can be toxic.

Around three-quarters of Americans take dietary supplements and vitamins every day to boost their overall health or correct an imbalance. But there can be too much of a good thing.

While vitamins are touted as good for you, the body isn’t designed to handle excessive vitamin intake.

Humans have evolved to require only small amounts, naturally found in a wide variety of foods, to support cell and organ function, and the body isn’t able to quickly eliminate excess vitamins, allowing some to build to dangerous levels.

Supplement overdoses can lead to serious complications, including liver and kidney damage, hardening of soft tissues, bleeding, and nerve damage.

However, because it can take weeks or even months for signs of toxicity from some vitamins to cause symptoms, you may be causing damage without even realizing it.

The risk of overdose depends on the base recommendation. For instance, the recommended amount of vitamin A for adult men is 900 micrograms.

However, taking too much – about three to four times the recommendation – can lead to minor symptoms like a headache or severe complications like brain damage.

Iron is essential for producing hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in red blood cells, but taking over 20mg can be toxic

Iron

Recommended daily dose for adults: 8 milligrams (mg) for men; 18 mg for women

Iron plays a key role in the production of hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body, but too much, around 20mg or higher, can be toxic.

Symptoms of iron toxicity may start out minor and be blamed on something common like the stomach flu and include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.

However, severe iron poisoning can lead to severe complications like liver damage and heart failure.

The harm becomes even more severe when a person takes too much over a long period of time. Gradually, iron accumulates in the organs, causing potentially fatal damage to the brain and liver.

Iron supplement overdose over an extended period of time mimics a natural iron balance disorder called iron overload. This is caused by the body’s regulatory system failing to keep iron levels within healthy limits.

Over time, an excess of iron can increase one’s risk of arthritis, colon cancer, liver problems, diabetes, and heart failure.

Calcium

Recommended daily dose for adults 51 and up: 1,000 to 1,200 mg

Adequate calcium is crucial to shoring up the bones and keeping skeletal muscles working properly. Calcium supplements are often recommended to seniors who are at increased risk of deficiency and osteoporosis.

Brittle bones make severe breaks and fractures more likely, especially in the hips, spine, risk, and forearm. They’re likely to be painful and require surgery to repair.

However, it’s important to strike the right balance. Taking more than 1,200 mg can lead to hypercalcemia, in which too much calcium is circulating in the blood.

It can cause a wide range of symptoms from seemingly innocuous nausea and constipation, to more concerning effects like dehydration, confusion and disorientation, muscle and bone pain, high blood pressure, kidney damage, and even coma.

Severe cases of vitamin D overdose can lead to kidney failure and abnormal heart rhythm, as well as an unsteady gait, confusion, fatigue, constipation, nausea, bone pain, and muscle weakness

Severe cases of vitamin D overdose can lead to kidney failure and abnormal heart rhythm, as well as an unsteady gait, confusion, fatigue, constipation, nausea, bone pain, and muscle weakness

Vitamin D

Recommended daily dose for adults: 600 International Units (IU)

Vitamin D is often thoughts of as the sunshine vitamin as people can get it from about 15 minutes of being in the sunlight.

For those who prefer the shade, however, doctors recommend 600 international units (IU). Taking extremely high doses – around 4,000 IU – over a long period of time can cause vitamin D toxicity.

Severe cases can lead to kidney failure and abnormal heart rhythm, as well as an unsteady gait, confusion, fatigue, constipation, nausea, bone pain, and muscle weakness.

Cases of vitamin D toxicity are rare, with roughly 4,500 cases in the US every year.

While sunlight is an excellent source of vitamin D, spending too much time outdoors will not cause vitamin D toxicity.

Vitamin D toxicity doesn’t occur suddenly and you may be experiencing it without even realizing.

Instead, it occurs when a person takes large doses of supplements over months or years.

Vitamin A

Recommended daily dose for adults: 900 microgram retinol activity equivalents (mg RAE) for men, 700 mcg RAE for women

Vitamin A is crucial for vision, immunity and growth.

But exceeding 3,000 mcg RAE of vitamin A can, over time, cause significant organ damage.

Vitamin A toxicity leads to hypervitaminosis A. Taking a lot over a short amount of time has been known to cause nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of appetite, and headache.

Chronic over-use causes the liver to malfunction and become enlarged until it fails. High vitamin A levels may also cause weakened bones, increasing the risk of fractures.

Pregnant women who take too much vitamin A also risk birth defects in their babies, such as a cleft palate or cleft lip, congenital heart defects, brain malformations, and thyroid problems.

Pregnant women are generally advised not to exceed 770 mcg RAE per day, which can come from cod liver oil, egg yolks, whole milk, cheese, and beef liver.

Too much magnesium can cause diarrhea, low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, irregular heart rhythm, kidney damage, and coma.

Too much magnesium can cause diarrhea, low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, irregular heart rhythm, kidney damage, and coma.

Magnesium

Recommended daily dose for adults: between 310 to 410 mg

Magnesium is essential for maintaining bone density, muscle function, and heart health.

The powerful mineral can also improve sleep quality and heart health by regulating the heart’s rhythm. It has also been shown to help reduce stress levels.

Too much magnesium, though, can cause diarrhea, low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, irregular heart rhythm, kidney damage, and coma.

In severe cases or if the kidneys aren’t working well, dialysis might be needed to remove the excess magnesium from the body.

Hypermagnesemia is rare because the kidneys remove excess magnesium. But complications can occur in people with kidney problems who take magnesium-containing medications like laxatives or antacids.

People with kidney disease, heart disease, or digestive issues are at higher risk and should avoid magnesium supplements.

Folic acid

Recommended daily dose for adults: 400 mcg

Recommended daily dose for pregnant women: at least 600 mcg

Folic acid helps prevent birth defects in a baby¿s brain and spine

Folic acid helps prevent birth defects in a baby’s brain and spine

Folic acid is commonly taken by pregnant women or women trying to conceive as it helps prevent birth defects in a baby’s brain and spine.

The mineral plays a crucial role in producing red blood cells in utero and supports the development of the baby’s neural tube into their brain and spinal cord.

Folic acid also works alongside other vitamins such as B12 to control high levels of an amino acid called homocysteine, which has been associated with an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and other health problems.

In high amounts, however, folic acid can obscure a deficiency of B12, which can lead to severe nerve damage.

When taken in large quantities, folic acid can correct low red blood cell counts, but it does not address potential nerve damage that has gone undiagnosed.

Too much folic acid can also irritate the digestive system, causing bloating, gas, and nausea.

Apple cider vinegar: Miracle fat-burning supplement or pseudo-science?

By |2025-03-16T21:49:56+02:00March 16, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Among the countless health trends flooding social media, the recurring claim that apple cider vinegar promotes quick and effortless weight loss is rising to the surface.

Influencers, like @gut_health_pro and @Motivationaldoc, praise apple cider vinegar as a fat-burning miracle, claiming it speeds up metabolism, suppresses appetite and promotes weight loss with little to no effort. Many of these claims, however, lack scientific evidence.

Checking the facts

Weight loss misinformation is everywhere, and many viral health trends have proved to be misleading and even harmful. Often, these trends pose a risk for those who replace proven strategies, like balanced eating and exercise, with unverified shortcuts.

Experts warn against replacing healthy eating habits with unproven weight-management trends. PHOTO: ANNA PELZER/UNSPLASH

Experts warn that apple cider vinegar, while touted online as a natural fat-burner, can damage tooth enamel and lead to nutrient loss.

A 2020 systematic review published in the European Journal of Nutrition assessed apple cider vinegar’s impact on metabolic health and body weight.

Analyzing 13 human and 12 animal studies, researchers failed to find sufficient evidence of the vinegar’s fat-burning qualities. While some studies suggest there’s potential metabolic benefits; methodological limitations prevent firm conclusions.

“Due to inadequate research of high quality, the evidence for the health effects of apple vinegar is insufficient,” the authors wrote. “More large-scale, long-term clinical studies with a low risk of bias are needed before definitive conclusions can be made.”

A 2024 issue of BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health published a study analyzing 120 overweight and obese individuals in Lebanon.

The study reported reductions in the participants’ weight, body mass index (BMI) and body fat ratio after consuming apple cider vinegar for 12 weeks. However, the authors cautioned that the preliminary findings could not determine the supplement’s effectiveness on sustained weight loss.

“A larger sample size would enhance the generalizability of the results,” they wrote. They also pointed to the short time frame as another limitation of the study.

Expert insight

Carrie Mullin Innes, a registered dietitian and instructor in the Department of Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University, says the research on apple cider vinegar and weight loss is limited.

“There are a few short-term human studies that provide evidence to support a reduction in body weight with apple cider vinegar,” Mullin Innes said. “However, these studies have been criticized for either their method of statistical analysis, their study design, small sample sizes and/or study duration.”

Mullin Innes add, “I wouldn’t conclude that there is a strong, scientific body of evidence to support the use of apple cider vinegar as an effective weight loss method.”

Mullin Innes especially discourages the belief that apple cider vinegar is enough to manage weight without any additional dietary changes.

“If it was that simple and effective, everyone would be using it, and there would not be rising obesity rates in Canada,” she said. “I have had clients come to see me for weight loss while taking apple cider vinegar. But, in essence, they recognize that apple cider vinegar alone is not effective and that diet-related changes are needed to achieve weight loss.”

Risks to health

A 2023 Harvard Health Publishing article by Robert H. Schmerling noted that while some small studies suggest apple cider vinegar may help with appetite suppression and minor weight loss, the evidence remains weak.

“The scientific evidence that vinegar consumption (whether of the apple cider variety or not) is an unreliable, long-term means of losing excess weight is not compelling,”  claims Schmerling.

The article also raised concerns about the health impacts of misusing the so-called weight-loss supplement.

“Vinegar should be diluted. Its high acidity can damage tooth enamel,” Shmerling wrote, suggesting to readers they mix apple cider vinegar into salad dressing to avoid damaging their teeth.

Excessive intake of apple cider vinegar may also lead to low potassium levels and negatively affect bone health, according to the article.

The Harvard expert addsnthat apple cider vinegar can alter insulin levels: “People with diabetes should be particularly cautious about a high vinegar diet.”

Online misinformation

Influencers, such as @gut_health_pro and @Motivationaldoc, who praise apple cider vinegar, are prone to inflating its benefits while minimizing its risks or neglecting to mention them altogether.

Though some studies suggest minor benefits, they do not offer substantial evidence to replace traditional weight management strategies like a balanced diet and regular exercise.

According to experts and scientific research, the claim that apple cider vinegar significantly aids in weight loss is largely misleading.

XRP on Verge of 50% Death Cross Crash: Details

By |2025-03-16T21:43:01+02:00March 16, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

The popular cryptocurrency XRP may be facing a severe 50% crash from its recent price. While not set in stone, like everything in this market, at least such a possibility signals a death cross pattern that has formed on the price chart of XRP on a two-day time frame.

What happened is that the 23-day moving average crossed the 50-day moving average from above to below, forming a death cross – a bearish formation that is considered a grim event that precedes a price correction.

Related

If we take this as a given, it could mean that the price of XRP will fall, and looking at the chart, it appears that the potential for a decline could be as high as 50%, with the 200-day moving average acting as a possible support.

And this price curve is currently stretched at $1.11, while XRP is trading slightly below the $2.30 level.

Article image
Source: TradingView

It is worth noting that on other major time frames, things do not look so bad for the third largest cryptocurrency.

For example, on the daily time frame, the 200-day moving average for XRP is at $1.66, which is 26.27% below the current price. On the weekly chart, the price of XRP recently tested the 23-day moving average at around $2 and saw a big bounce of 18.84%.

Legendary Angel Investor Says XRP 'Controlled by a Few Individuals'

On the one hand, the two-day time frame is rather exotic and may need more study for the determination of a concrete conclusion.

On the other hand, XRP still looks rather bearish on other time frames at the moment, and while the correction may not be as severe as 50%, there is still room to fall.

Need More Magnesium? Here Are the Different Types and Ways to Add It to Your Diet

By |2025-03-16T19:48:58+02:00March 16, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Magnesium is a mineral that the body uses for blood glucose control, blood pressure regulation, energy production, muscle and nerve function, bone development, relaxation, and more. When you don’t get enough of it, you may develop a magnesium deficiency with symptoms like fatigue, low appetite and muscle spasms. However, this deficiency is relatively rare since most healthy individuals get enough magnesium in their diet.

Let’s discuss magnesium, the different types, its benefits and the foods you can find it in.

What is magnesium?

Magnesium is a chemical element present in many foods and an essential building block in the body. What does magnesium do for the body? Our bodies use magnesium to regulate blood pressure, bone development, muscle and nerve function and to synthesize DNA. While those are some of the most notable functions of magnesium in our bodies, the full importance of this mineral can be hard to overstate.

Read more: Why You Should Use Magnesium to Boost Your Sleep

Understanding what foods have magnesium can go a long way toward helping you ensure that you have enough of this vital mineral. Dairy products tend to be rich in magnesium and are one of many people’s primary sources of this mineral. While the exact amounts vary between them, legumes, nuts and seeds are another abundant source of magnesium. Fiber-rich whole grains like quinoa and shredded wheat, as well as leafy greens such as spinach and kale, contain high amounts of magnesium.

Including more of these types of food in your diet may help you maintain better health and ward off magnesium deficiencies. In some cases, these foods may not be enough or may not be practical. In those cases, magnesium supplements may be able to fill the gap.

Adding magnesium to your diet

If finding the right foods is challenging, inconvenient or otherwise problematic, taking magnesium supplements may help you meet your body’s needs for this mineral. Even if you aren’t noticing signs of magnesium deficiency, it’s important to ensure you are consuming the recommended amounts of magnesium.

Once you decide to include magnesium supplements, you may notice the many options available. These supplements come in various types, mainly differentiated by what is bound to the magnesium or used as a carrier. For instance, magnesium citrate is one of the more common types. This type is made of magnesium bonded to citric acid.

8 types of magnesium

Magnesium Pills

Iryna Kaliukina/Getty Images

As mentioned, there are many types of magnesium supplements. Some people may have an easier time absorbing certain types over others. Depending on what the magnesium is bound to, these supplements may also have different health benefits and potential side effects. For example, most magnesium types have some degree of a laxative effect.

Magnesium chloride

This type is created by binding magnesium and chlorine. Magnesium chloride is thought to be easily absorbed by the digestive tract. While this type can help with magnesium deficiency, it is also used to treat heartburn and other problems caused by excessive stomach acid.

Magnesium citrate

One of the more common magnesium types, magnesium citrate, is believed by some to have superior bioavailability compared to other magnesium supplements. The laxative effect of this type is strong enough that high doses of it are sometimes used to treat constipation.

Magnesium lactate

Magnesium lactate is used for similar purposes as other magnesium supplements. It has also shown some promise at being gentler on the digestive system than many magnesium types. This type is created by binding magnesium with lactic acid.

Magnesium malate

Magnesium malate is formed by binding magnesium and malic acid. Some research has pursued the idea that this type of magnesium supplement may have high levels of bioavailability but has been inconclusive. Beyond potentially greater bioavailability, another potential perk of this magnesium supplement is that it may have less of a discernible impact on the digestive system. People who experience side effects from other types of magnesium may find this type less problematic.

Magnesium orotate

A combination of magnesium and orotic acid, this type of magnesium has shown promise in several areas. Research has demonstrated the importance of the microbiome-gut-brain axis, which has to do with a feedback system between aspects of the digestive system and psychological well-being. This research indicates that magnesium orotate may encourage better gut health, which could improve experiences of well-being. The high bioavailability of this magnesium type also makes it helpful in treating magnesium deficiency.

This type is thought to have a lower laxative effect than others. As a result, it may not be as helpful in treating constipation.

Magnesium oxide

Formed by combining magnesium with oxygen, this type of magnesium supplement has been researched for its potential impact on type 2 diabetes. Research outcomes have been conflicting, but magnesium oxide supplements are also used for antacid and laxative properties. This form of magnesium may have lower bioavailability than others and may be less effective for managing a magnesium deficiency.

Magnesium sulfate

Also known as Epsom salt, this type combines magnesium with sulfur and oxygen. Some studies have shown the benefits of using magnesium sulfate to treat symptoms of acute asthma, migraines, depression and anxiety. Some of these studies relied on the intravenous administration of magnesium sulfate. Further research is needed to understand the impacts of magnesium sulfate supplements on these conditions.

Magnesium taurate

Magnesium taurate is made by combining magnesium with the amino acid taurine. Like other magnesium types, this one may sometimes be used to treat magnesium deficiency, excessive stomach acidity and constipation. Some research has shown promising results regarding the potential for magnesium taurate to aid in some cardiovascular treatments. This research was not conducted on humans, and further study is needed to see how well the effects translate.

Drawbacks to taking magnesium

While getting enough magnesium in your diet is important, you want to avoid consuming too much. There are a few potential downsides to magnesium that you may want to consider before deciding whether magnesium supplements are right for you.

Cost

Depending on the type of magnesium supplement in question, these dietary aids can become expensive.

Too much magnesium

Taking too much magnesium can lead to an overdose with unpleasant side effects and, in extreme cases, potentially life-threatening risks. Consuming too much magnesium may lead to feelings of fatigue, muscle weakness, nausea and diarrhea. If you take magnesium supplements and experience these symptoms, speak with your doctor immediately.

Drug interactions

Magnesium supplements can sometimes interfere with other medications and prevent them from being absorbed or used correctly. If you take regular medications, speak with your prescribing doctor before adding a magnesium supplement to your diet.

Green tea scientifically proven as secret hangover cure

By |2025-03-16T17:48:02+02:00March 16, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

@uktoday_ Are there benefits to drinking red wine? I happily found out. 🍷 #uknews #redwine #winetimе #uknewsheadlines ♬ original sound – UKToday 🇬🇧 Newsquest
