Why Is Ethereum Price Crashing? Will ETH Falls to $1300

By |2025-03-11T02:29:58+02:00March 11, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Ethereum (ETH) has been having a rough time since last month. Over the past week, it has dropped 16%, hitting $1,861 today from an intraday high of $2,138. This is its lowest since December 2023. The question everyone is asking is, will ETH ever recover from this?

According to Glassnode, only 50% of Ethereum holders are still making a profit, compared to 82% at the start of the year.

Some investors are losing their funds, while some are choosing to sell at a loss, which is causing the price to fall.

Looking at the monthly chart on TradingView, the price is not doing great. It has been trading below the Ichimoku Cloud since January 25, a sign that the market is still bearish.

Meanwhile, $1.8 billion worth of ETH left exchanges in the biggest outflow since December 2022 last week, according to Lookonchain.

ETH sees its largest outflow since 2022 | Source: Lookonchain

Usually, when investors move ETH to private wallets instead of exchanges, it means they’re holding for the long term. This could signal a potential price rebound soon.

Will Eth Crash to $1300?

If Ethereum’s price continues to fall, it could hit $1,300, which is another support level on the monthly time frame.

But if demand picks up, ETH could climb back to $4,045, which is a 120% surge from its current price level. However, this is uncertain as the market is still controlled by the bears.

As of now, the most likely scenario for ETH is to test the support at $1700; if it fails, there would be catastrophic liquidations, and the market will need a hard time to recover.

Natural Gas Price Forecast: Breaks Out, but Bearish Reversal Threatens Rally

By |2025-03-10T22:46:16+02:00March 10, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Bearish Candlestick Pattern Triggers Below $4.45

Although the candlestick pattern shows sellers in charge near the end of the trading session, the pattern doesn’t trigger until there is a drop below today’s low. Nonetheless, today’s price action is short-term bearish since it follows the breakout of a long-term pattern. Rather than seeing interest increase following the breakout, the candle pattern shows demand dissipating. In other words, the bullish signal was not confirmed, and it is therefore the breakout is subject to failure.

Initial Strength Turns Bearish

The breakout showed strength initially as the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement at $4.77 of the full downtrend that began from the 2022 peak was exceeded without hesitation. Subsequently, resistance was seen just below the next higher potential resistance zone defined by a November 2018 peak at $4.93 and a 78.6% target from a rising ABCD pattern (purple) at $4.97.

The ABCD pattern looks for price symmetry or a harmonic relationship between the second leg up (CD) and the first upswing (AB). Typically, a 100% relationship identifies a potentially key pivot level. That is where the price gains between the two swings are similar. Also, Fibonacci relationships are used to provide other potential pivots. The 78.6% level deserves attention today given the bearish reaction following the day’s high.

Key Support at 20-Day MA

It looks like the spike high occurred due to an order imbalance shortly after the opening of Monday’s session, as it largely occurred within one-minute. A bearish pullback began immediately after the high was reached. This might mean that the failed breakout has less of a lagging effect than it might otherwise if demand was stronger initially. Nonetheless, key support remains the 20-Day MA, which is now at $4.04.

The best probiotic of 2025 according to a registered dietitian

By |2025-03-10T22:32:06+02:00March 10, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Your gut does so much more than digest food — it’s the command center for your health. When your gut isn’t happy, your immune system, digestion and even mood can take a hit. Don’t get enough probiotics in your diet? The best probiotic supplement may be the secret weapon your gut’s been craving. These microorganisms come packed with benefits, and with more than 5% of adults turning to probiotics in recent years, it’s clear that gut health is at the top of many people’s minds.

Probiotics are live microorganisms best known for their role in gut health. While bacteria are the primary source of probiotics, certain types of yeasts are also included under this term. Although further research is needed, probiotics have been shown to offer a variety of health benefits. These include supporting gut health by addressing issues like constipation and diarrhea, boosting immune health and supporting weight management. They may even help protect against certain chronic conditions like heart disease.

Probiotics naturally occur in fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, miso paste, kimchi and sauerkraut. However, if you don’t like the taste of these foods or don’t eat them regularly, a probiotic supplement could be a convenient alternative.

Registered dietitians agree that probiotic supplements are beneficial for certain individuals. Alyssa Smolen, a community and media dietitian, recommends them for clients who “have been on a heavy course of antibiotics, don’t consume a ton of probiotic-rich foods or are having digestive issues.” Similarly, Vicki Koenig, a dietitian at Nutrition-Wise, suggests probiotics for “specific gastrointestinal or liver issues.” She also highlights research linking probiotics to potential benefits for diabetes, cholesterol management and GLP-1 hormone secretion, and calls it an exciting area of study.

The tricky part? There’s an overwhelming number of probiotic supplements to choose from. And, because the benefits of probiotics are strain-specific, it’s important to select a product that’s formulated to address your health concerns. We consulted registered dietitians to understand the different types of probiotics and what to look for in a supplement. Using their expert insights, we researched the most popular probiotics on the market and put 13 to the test. Keep reading for our picks of the best probiotics for gut health.

A note on supplements

The products included on this list are dietary supplements. Statements about these products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Dietary supplements are not appropriate for everyone and may interact with other supplements or medications, so talk to your healthcare provider before adding a dietary supplement to your routine.

Types of probiotic supplements

Probiotic supplements are available in various forms, strains and strengths. Here are some common types:

  • Capsules: A popular choice, and for good reason. Liz McMahon, MPH, an IBS and gut health registered dietitian, primarily recommends capsules, explaining “probiotics may not do much if they can’t make it past your stomach acid, so ensuring that the product is encapsulated is important.” Probiotic capsules can be single- or multi-strain, and some are designed to be taken on an empty stomach.

  • Gummies: Favored for their taste and ease of consumption, gummies are a good alternative for people who dislike swallowing pills. However, they may contain added sugars and have lower probiotic counts than other forms.

  • Powders: These can be mixed into water, smoothies or other beverages, offering flexibility in consumption. They may also allow for higher doses of probiotics and can be free from certain additives found in other forms.

  • Drinks: Probiotic beverages provide hydration along with probiotics. They can be a tasty way to incorporate probiotics into your diet but may require refrigeration and have shorter shelf lives. Additionally, depending on the product, they might not contain a therapeutic dose of probiotics.

  • Drops: Often used for infants or individuals who need a precise dosage, probiotic drops can be added to food or taken directly. They are typically free from additives and are easy to administer.

  • Synbiotic blends: These combine probiotics with prebiotics — fibers that feed beneficial bacteria. Some synbiotics also include postbiotics, which are bioactive compounds created by probiotics.

  • Combination supplements: Some products include probiotics along with vitamins, minerals or other active ingredients, aiming to provide multiple health benefits in a single supplement. While convenient, they can cause excessive nutrient intake if you’re already taking other dietary supplements.

Factors to consider when purchasing probiotic supplements

Before spending your hard-earned cash on a probiotic, you’ll want to consider several factors to ensure you choose a product that’s right for you. Here are key considerations to keep in mind:

Strain diversity and specific strains

The most common probiotics found in supplements are from the groups Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Some supplements also contain S. boulardii, which is a beneficial yeast. Certain strains of probiotics have specific benefits. For example, L. rhamnosus GG and S.boulardii may help reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

For general gut health, “I look for Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and S. boulardii in supplements,” says McMahon. While multi-strain probiotic supplements may offer a wider range of health benefits, single-strain products can be a better option, depending on the strain and your health needs. When recommending products to clients, McMahon says that it ultimately depends on the “strain, dose and CFU amount for a particular condition.”

Colony Forming Units (CFU)

The most common measurement for probiotics is colony forming units (CFU). This measurement indicates the number of viable cells in a probiotic supplement. Common doses are between 1 to 10 billion CFU, but higher doses don’t necessarily mean greater health benefits.

Shelf stability or storage requirements

When selecting a probiotic supplement, it’s essential to consider its storage requirements. Some probiotics are shelf-stable and can be stored at room temperature, while others require refrigeration. If a supplement that needs refrigeration is left out, the live beneficial bacteria may lose viability, reducing the product’s effectiveness.

Third-party testing

When shopping for dietary supplements, it’s best to choose products that are third-party tested to ensure they contain the types and amounts of ingredients listed on the label. Examples of reputable third-party organizations include U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF).

Prebiotic inclusion

Prebiotics are fibers that get broken down and fermented by gut bacteria, resulting in byproducts that are essential for your health. Because of how they work together to support gut health, supplements that contain both probiotics and prebiotics are often referred to as synbiotics.

Should you opt for a synbiotic over a prebiotic? It depends. According to McMahon, “Some prebiotics contribute to GI issues like gas and bloating, so I prefer to dose them separately.” Koening, on the other hand, says that she’s found synbiotics helpful for some of her clients. “There is research showing some prebiotics, which are fibers that feed gut bacteria, can help with digestive function and can reduce cravings. I’ve been recommending these to my clients,” she says. She further explains that early research shows that prebiotics and probiotics together “[might] increase our natural production of GLP-1 hormone. I predict it will be the next big area of supplements!”

Allergen info

If you have food allergies or intolerances, read supplement labels carefully and consider purchasing a supplement that’s manufactured in an allergen-free facility.

Value

Probiotic supplements range in price, from cheaper drugstore options to pricier brands available only online or through a subscription. New to probiotics? A less expensive product might be the best way to go. According to Smolen, “If an individual is just starting out taking a probiotic, I would recommend a drugstore brand. This is to evaluate if a probiotic would be beneficial to add to their supplement routine.” McMahon agrees with trying drugstore brands, saying, “I recommend Florastor, Align and Culturelle all the time. They have the strains I’m looking for, you can find them anywhere, they’re cost-effective and well-studied.” However, she sometimes recommends the more expensive brands, like Seed or VSL#3, “for their robust research, but not everyone can afford to do that monthly,” she says.

How we chose the best probiotic supplements

To select the best dietary probiotic supplements, we first consulted three registered dietitians specializing in digestive and gut health to understand the factors they consider when recommending probiotics to their clients. Using their guidance and my expertise as a registered dietitian, I reviewed the most popular brands on the market and narrowed the testing pool down to 13 supplements. During testing, I assessed each product based on its formulation, storage requirements, ease of use, flavor profiles, side effects and changes in gut health.

FAQs

How long does it take for probiotics to work?

Every body is different. In generally, it can take anywhere between a few days to a few months to notice effects.

How long it can take to see results after taking a probiotic supplement depends on the product you’re taking — including the strains and dose provided — as well as your diet, gut health and reasons for taking a probiotic.

Should I take probiotics with food?

Whether to take probiotics with food varies by product, so it’s best to follow the directions on the supplement label. Some probiotic supplements recommend taking them on an empty stomach, while others encourage taking your daily dose with a meal. Ultimately, what’s most important is to take probiotics consistently.

Are there any side effects of taking probiotics?

For generally healthy adults, probiotic side effects are usually minimal. That said, mild GI side effects are possible, especially during the initial few days of taking a new probiotic. Side effects may include bloating, gas, nausea and diarrhea. For people who have severe illnesses or are immunocompromised, probiotics could have more harmful effects. Always talk with a health care professional before adding any new supplement to your wellness routine.

Do I need to refrigerate my probiotic supplements?

Some probiotics require refrigeration to maintain viability. Read the product label carefully to see if your probiotic needs to be refrigerated, or if it’s okay to store at room temperature.

Can I take probiotics with antibiotics?

Yes, it’s generally safe to take probiotics while you take antibiotics. In fact, some brands of probiotics have studied strains that help minimize GI side effects while taking these medications. Still, if you have any doubts about medication interactions, it’s best to talk with your healthcare provider.

What probiotic is best for constipation?

Look for products containing B. lactis, L. rhamnosus GG or L. casei Shirota, as they have the most research to support their effectiveness. Some research suggests that synbiotics containing one of these probiotics along with inulin, may be most effective for managing chronic constipation.

Other products we tested

  • Shaklee Good Gut & Go: This convenient probiotic drink stick contains 10 billion CFU from 3 different probiotic strains. It also includes 3 grams of prebiotic fiber per serving and is easy to use — pour into a glass of water and mix. While I appreciated the convenience of this product, the raspberry flavor wasn’t my favorite.

  • Bowmar Nutrition One Daily Probiotics: I appreciated the overall formulation of this once-daily probiotic and found the capsules easy to swallow. However, the product’s lack of quality assurances, like third-party testing, was a major downside.

  • Beautycore: Beautycore is a probiotic supplement for women formulated to help improve skin, hair and gut health. The product includes fermented vitamins, like biotin, and four clinically-backed probiotic strains. That said, while researching Beautycore, I couldn’t find research to support its claims for skin health. Its high price point and limited availability also made it hard to justify.

  • LTH Multi Pro 30B Probiotic: This probiotic from Lifetime Fitness contains 6 probiotic strains and 30 billion CFU. It’s NSF-certified and easy to use, with only one capsule needed per day. While certainly a good-quality product, I liked the formulations of other products I tried better.

Will DOGE Reach $1 Or Beyond?

By |2025-03-10T22:28:10+02:00March 10, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Dogecoin Price Prediction has been a hot topic ever since DOGE skyrocketed from a joke to a multi-billion-dollar cryptocurrency.

With a current price of $0.185 and a market cap of $27.46 billion, the big question remains – can DOGE finally hit $1?

I remember buying Dogecoin just for fun, thinking it was nothing more than a meme. Then it suddenly became a real investment.

But hype alone isn’t a strategy.

That’s where Dawgz AI comes in. Unlike DOGE, which depends on social media hype, Dawgz AI helps investors profit in any market condition with AI-powered trading bots that run 24/7.

So, is $1 DOGE still possible? Let’s break down what’s next for Dogecoin and how to actually profit from the market today.

Dogecoin – The Meme Coin That Took Over Crypto

Dogecoin started as a joke in 2013, but today, it’s one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Built as a peer-to-peer digital currency, DOGE is often used for tipping online content creators and small transactions.

Dogecoin’s Market Position

Despite its meme origins, Dogecoin has a loyal fanbase and mainstream recognition.

  • Dogecoin 2025 price prediction depends heavily on community-driven hype and celebrity endorsements.
  • DOGE is widely accepted by some businesses, but it’s still not as functional as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
  • Its biggest strength is its meme status, which keeps it relevant in the fast-moving crypto market.

Key Factors Affecting DOGE’s Price

Dogecoin price prediction 2030 depends on:

  • Community support – A strong fanbase has kept DOGE alive for years.
  • Celebrity influence – Elon Musk’s tweets have caused DOGE price spikes.
  • Adoption & use cases – More businesses accepting DOGE could push its price higher.

Dogecoin Price Prediction 5 Years – Where Will DOGE Be?

What is the dogecoin price prediction 5 years from now? It depends on adoption, hype, and market trends.

Bullish Scenario: DOGE Hits $1+

  • More businesses accept DOGE for payments.
  • Crypto market enters another major bull run.
  • Social media hype and celebrity endorsements continue.

Bearish Scenario: DOGE Stays Under $1

  • Hype fades, and newer meme coins take over.
  • Regulatory issues limit DOGE’s adoption.
  • Lack of real use cases keeps demand low.

  • Most analysts predict DOGE will range between $0.50-$1 by 2030.
  • If market conditions weaken, it may stay below $0.40.

Instead of waiting years for DOGE to hit $1, Dawgz AI offers a way to profit now.

Scenario Price Prediction Key Factors

Average Prediction $0.50 – $1 – Most analysts expect DOGE to trade in this range by 2030.- If market conditions weaken, DOGE may stay below $0.40.

Dogecoin Price Prediction Beyond 5 Years – Can DOGE Stay Relevant?

What is Dogecoin’s long-term price outlook? It depends on whether DOGE evolves beyond a meme coin or remains hype-driven.

Bullish Scenario: DOGE Gains Real Utility

  • More businesses and payment networks integrate DOGE.
  • Developers improve DOGE’s blockchain functionality.
  • Mainstream adoption fuels steady price growth.

Bearish Scenario: DOGE Loses Relevance

  • Hype fades, and newer meme coins take over.
  • DOGE remains a tipping currency with limited real-world use.
  • Lack of innovation and adoption keeps demand low.

Average Price Prediction for Dogecoin

Most analysts predict DOGE could range between $0.50–$1.50 if adoption increases.
If it remains speculation-driven, it may stay below $0.40 long-term.

Instead of waiting for DOGE to evolve, Dawgz AI offers a way to profit now – regardless of market conditions.

Here’s a table version of the Dogecoin Price Prediction Beyond 5 Years section:

If you’re looking for a better way to invest in meme coins, Dawgz AI is the best choice. It’s not just about what might happen – it’s about what’s already working.

XAU/USD trades below $2,900 despite persistent risk aversion

By |2025-03-10T20:44:32+02:00March 10, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

XAU/USD Current price: $2,892.16

  • The United States will publish February Consumer Price Index figures this week.
  • The Bank of Canada will announce its decision on monetary policy next Wednesday.
  • XAU/USD turned bearish in the near term, could extend its slide in the upcoming sessions.

Spot Gold trades with a softer tone on Monday, piercing the $2,900 mark during American trading hours, albeit confined to familiar levels for a fifth consecutive day. The US Dollar (USD) found near-term demand despite a risk-averse environment. Global stock markets trade in the red at the beginning of the week, maintaining the focus on United States (US) President Donald Trump’s trade war.

The absence of relevant macroeconomic news fueled sentiment-related trading, albeit prevalent demand for safety kept XAU/USD between a rock and a hard place. Later in the week, the US will publish February Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures, with inflation foreseen easing modestly from January levels but still holding above the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) 2% goal.

Other than that, the Bank of Canada (BoC) will announce its decision on monetary policy on Wednesday. The BoC is widely anticipated to trim interest rates by 25 basis points (bps), to 2.75%, moving one step closer to the neutral rate.

XAU/USD short-term technical outlook

From a technical point of view, the daily chart for XAU/USD shows the bright metal remains below a now flat 20 Simple Moving Average (SMA), providing dynamic resistance at around $2,910.00. The longer moving averages keep heading north far below the current level, suggesting bulls maintain control in the long run. Technical indicators, in the meantime, turned lower at around their midlines, suggesting the pair may extend its corrective decline before finding fresh buying interest.

In the near term, and according to the 4-hour chart, the XAU/USD pair is at risk of extending its slide. Converging 20 and 100 SMAs provide resistance in the $2,910 region, while a bullish 200 SMA hovers at around $2,867, providing support. Finally, technical indicators remain within negative levels, although with uneven strength. Still, additional declines are likely on a break below $2,881.80, March 4 intraday low.

EUR/USD Analysis Today 10/03: Upward Channel (Chart)

By |2025-03-10T20:33:07+02:00March 10, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Key Analysis Points:

  • EUR/USD in Early Bullish Reversal, Eyes on 1.10 Peak
  • Trump’s Tariffs Impacting Markets
  • Central Bank Policies Closely Monitored

A remarkable bullish trading week saw bulls control the EUR/USD currency pair, with rebound gains reaching the resistance level of 1.0888, the pair’s highest in four months, and closing the week’s trading stable around 1.0832. This followed the Forex market’s most popular pair reacting to US job numbers and optimistic comments from US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell regarding US economic performance, despite trade wars led by the Trump administration.

US stocks witness fluctuations due to Trump

At the end of last week’s trading and across the platforms of stock trading companies, US stock market indices rose on Wall Street. The performance of US stocks was clearly volatile amid concerns about the future of the US economy and uncertainty about what US President Donald Trump might do with tariffs and his threat to other global economies.

According to trading, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose by 0.6% after recovering from a previous loss of 1.3%. It was coming from a difficult period where it swung by more than 1%, up or down, for six consecutive days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 222 points, or 0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 0.7%. Overall, last week’s trading was the worst for the Standard & Poor’s 500 since September 2024, and the index was slightly below its all-time high, which it recorded last month by about 6%.

Jerome Powell Reassures Markets on US Economy

For his part, before the close of trading last week, which may also be reflected in the start of trading this new week. The US Federal Reserve Chairman helped ease market concerns after he said he believes the US economy appears stable for now and does not feel pressure to cut interest rates to support it. Investors have generally been betting in recent weeks that the Fed will be forced to cut US interest rates more than three times this year after a series of weaker-than-expected economic reports. But the US central banker responded to speculation that he and other Fed officials might feel pressure to act soon.

Powell stated about maintaining US interest rates: “The costs of being careful are very low right now.” “The economy is fine. It doesn’t need us to do anything really. We can wait, and we should wait.”

Recently, disappointing polls have shown confidence in US businesses and households has been falling due to uncertainty over Trump’s tariffs, and economists have been waiting to see if the latest US report will show whether that translates into real pain for the economy and the labour market.

Trading Tips:

Be careful. The recent gains of the euro dollar need strength factors to continue and exceed the 1.10 peak to confirm the upward shift, otherwise it will be exposed to profit-taking sales.

US Tariffs Confuse Forecasts

Recently, the US government’s sudden actions on tariffs – first imposing them on trade partners, then exempting some, and then doing it again – have created uncertainty for businesses. This has raised concerns that companies may freeze in response to what has been described as “chaos” and pull back on hiring. Meanwhile, US households are bracing for rising inflation due to tariffs, weakening their confidence and potentially hindering their spending. This would further drain energy from the economy.

As for the US trade wars. Trump stated last Friday that he wants tariffs to bring jobs back to the United States, and he gave no indication that more certainty is imminent for financial markets. He stated in comments from the Oval Office: “There will always be changes and adjustments.” Trump added about the impact on the economy: “There could be some turmoil,” before saying: “I solved a little bit of that” by giving a one-month reprieve for tariffs on Mexican and Canadian imports to automakers.

EUR/USD Technical Analysis Today:

According to the trading on the daily chart above, the price of the euro against the US dollar EUR/USD is moving within an ascending channel that was recently formed and lacks a move towards the psychological resistance level of 1.1000 to confirm the strength of the shift to the general upward trend. Also, this peak may push the technical indicators to strong overbought levels led by the relative strength index and the MACD indicator. In contrast, and on the same time frame, the support of 1.0650 will remain a threat to the current upward shift of the euro against the US dollar.

The EUR/USD pair may remain stable in its current path until the markets react to the announcement of US inflation figures this week through the Consumer Price Index and the Producer Price Index, in addition to being affected by Trump’s surprise trade decisions, especially regarding the imposition of US tariffs on European imports, which will be negative for the euro.

Use of Dietary Supplements in Patients With Breast Cancer

By |2025-03-10T20:31:01+02:00March 10, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

AT is a 38-year-old female who has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that is positive for estrogen and progesterone receptor (ER+, PR+) and breast cancer gene (BRCA) 1/2 negative. She expressed concern to her pharmacist about using iron and multivitamin supplements for her breast cancer. She read an article about an observational study that linked the use of antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E; beta-carotenoids; coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10); and B12 with negative effects on breast cancer disease-free survival. She wondered whether she should continue taking the iron supplement and was looking for alternatives, such as a different brand of multivitamin.

AT takes ribociclib 600 mg daily from day 1 to 28; anastrozole 1 mg daily; olmesartan 20 mg daily; vitamin D3 2000 IU daily; ferrous sulfate 325 mg daily; and 1 adult multivitamin daily. Table 1 reviews her laboratory results.

Discussion

Breast cancer primarily occurs in middle-aged and older women. The median age at the time of breast cancer diagnosis is 62. Overall, the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer sometime in her life is approximately 13%, meaning there is a 1 in 8 chance a woman will develop breast cancer.1

Early detection of breast cancer is key to survival, with a 93% or higher survival rate in the first 5 years. Annual mammography is the standard screening tool recommended for women 40 years of age and older. Additionally, women with a family history of breast cancer, known BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations, and other pertinent risk factors are advised to undergo breast MRI once a year.1

Dietary supplementation, including minerals and multivitamins, is often taken by cancer patients, including those with breast cancer.2 Some dietary supplements, such as lutein and vitamins A, C, and E, are classified as antioxidants, meaning they inhibit oxidation and reduce free radicals in the body, which some researchers have demonstrated to help optimize chemotherapy and improve breast cancer outcomes.3

However, there are studies suggesting that some dietary supplements might dampen the efficacy of the cytotoxic drugs. For example, in vitro studies have shown upregulation of glucose transporters that carry oxidized dehydroascorbic acid in cancer cells. Hence, they absorb more glucose and vitamin C than normal cells.4 A study by Lesperance et al. examined 90 patients with breast cancer taking megadoses of multivitamins, minerals, or antioxidants irrespective of their treatment protocol. The overall survival at 5 years was 72% for the supplement group and 81% for the control group.5 However, results of the statistical analysis indicated that there was no difference between the 2 groups in breast cancer-specific survival (BCSS) or disease-free survival (DFS).5

The study AT saw is the Diet, Exercise, Lifestyle, and Cancer Prognosis (DELCaP) study. DELCaP was an observational, prospective phase 3 trial performed in a high-risk early-stage breast cancer population. Patients with breast cancer were randomly assigned to different treatment schedules with doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, and paclitaxel. Participants were given questionnaires about their use of dietary supplements at baseline and again 6 months after treatment completion. The primary goal of the study was to determine whether certain antioxidant supplements influenced survival outcomes. The study looked at vitamins A, C, and E; carotenoids; and CoQ10.3

The trial results found that except for the participants who reported taking a multivitamin, there was a 41% increase in hazard of breast cancer recurrence with the use of any antioxidant supplementation when used before and during chemotherapy treatment.3 The association was not statistically significant, and there was a similar but weaker association with mortality.3 These findings are consistent with ongoing concerns that the use of antioxidants before and during chemotherapy can reduce its cytotoxic effects and should not be taken during cancer treatment. The trial results also found that vitamin B12 and iron supplementation before and during chemotherapy were also associated with breast cancer recurrence and mortality.3

There were several potential confounding factors with the study, such as patient selection, patient recall, and potential patient underreporting of supplements. The biochemical impact of antioxidants and how they negate the effect of chemotherapy agents or fuel the tumor cells is yet to be fully studied. The authors cautioned that a larger randomized controlled clinical trial with cancer patients who were taking antioxidants versus not taking antioxidants is needed to establish a connection. However, providers should exercise caution among cancer patients when considering supplements, apart from multivitamin, during chemotherapy.3

Managing Anemia

Although the DELCaP study found that iron supplementation before and during chemotherapy was associated with breast cancer recurrence and mortality, it is important to emphasize that anemia in cancer patients should be treated. Anemia is a common concurrent risk factor in breast cancer patients, who are routinely prescribed OTC iron. Patients should be directed to consult their providers for treatment of anemia. Untreated anemia can have a negative effect on relapse, metastasis, and death. It has been postulated that anemia can induce tumor hypoxia, angiogenesis, and resistance to conventional oncolytic and radiotherapy via the VEGF axis.6

A retrospective study conducted by Zhang et al. showed significantly higher mortality in preoperative patients with anemia versus nonanemic patients who underwent surgery related to their breast cancer.7 Furthermore, after analyzing 336 women with early-stage breast cancer, Kandemir et al. found that disease-free and overall survival were shorter in patients with anemia at the time of diagnosis than in patients with normal hemoglobin level, defined as greater than or equal to 12 g/dl. All these studies emphasize the importance of a baseline or corrected hemoglobin level in breast cancer patients with curative intent.6-8

Conclusion

In the face of conflicting data, patients are bound to feel helpless and thus turn to their pharmacists, who are well-positioned to make the best recommendation using evidence-based medicine. Due to the increased risk of recurrence and death observed with iron supplementation, considering AT’s normal ferritin and iron levels, the patient was asked to consult with the provider about whether she should continue taking her iron supplement. Also based on existing evidence, AT can continue to take her multivitamin, but she should contact her provider if she wishes to begin any new OTC supplements.

Cardano price prediction: ADA to $4 remains a possibility, but attention is more on new Crypto targeting an 18,205% rise in the next 11 weeks

By |2025-03-10T20:27:11+02:00March 10, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Following a flash crash earlier this week, Cardano (ADA) is regaining momentum, with analysts predicting a rally to $4 from its current price of $0.68. But while Cardano’s climb looks promising, Mutuum Finance is turning heads with an 18,205% growth target to hit $3 in just 11 weeks. The project is in Phase 2 of its presale at $0.015. Investors who jump in now could see a 300% gain before its launch price of $0.06. Mutuum Finance has already raised over $2.7 million and attracted more than 4,925 holders in record time. Investors are already making moves, betting on life-changing returns as the market heats up.

Cardano (ADA) could reach $4

Cardano (ADA) is gaining momentum, and experts believe its price could rise to $4, which is 480% higher than its current price of $0.68. More big investors are starting to buy ADA, especially with the growing hype around Cardano ETFs approval in 2025. Several wealth managers have already submitted their filings, among them Grayscale. Cardano’s network is also improving, with faster transactions, new projects, and better technology making it more useful. As more people invest, Cardano could be one of the next big winners in crypto.

Mutuum Finance: The future of decentralized lending

Mutuum Finance is revolutionizing DeFi lending through its innovative Peer-to-Contract (P2C) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) dual-lending model. Through the P2C model, depositors can put stablecoins such as USDT in lending pools, while the borrowers get crypto-backed loans through assets such as ETH. The P2P model eliminates intermediaries since lenders and borrowers agree on terms among themselves. This hybrid framework provides additional security, flexibility, and profitability, providing as much as 10% APY to liquidity providers.

By eliminating intermediaries, Mutuum Finance reduces borrowing costs and increases returns for liquidity providers. With near-instant transactions, full transparency, and a user-first approach, it’s setting a new standard in decentralized finance.

Security, stability, and long-term growth

Mutuum Finance is scheduled for third-party audits and has open-sourced its smart contracts in an attempt to uphold transparency.  The protocol’s robust risk management controls provide an additional layer of security, pairing audited smart contracts with a safe lending framework. That also renders it an attractive choice for institutional and retail investors seeking stable, high-yielding DeFi investment opportunities. Momentum is gathering very quickly with over 4,925 investors already onboard.

Mutuum Finance’s presale is currently in Phase 2, offering a rare chance to grab MUTM tokens at $0.015 before prices rise across 11 presale stages, reaching $0.06 at launch. Those who invest now could see a 300% return before the token even hits public trading. Analysts are even predicting MUTM could go beyond $3 post-launch, making it one of the most promising DeFi tokens of 2025. Phase 1 investors are already up 50%, and the total amount raised has surpassed $2,636,121.

$100,000 giveaway & community rewards

To boost adoption and reward early supporters, Mutuum Finance is giving away $100,000 in MUTM tokens. Ten winners will each get $10,000, with additional rewards available through a referral program that incentivizes users to bring in new investors and grow the community.

Both Cardano (ADA) and Mutuum Finance (MUTM) are making headlines as institutional money floods back into the crypto market. Cardano is setting up for a potential run past $5, while Mutuum Finance’s presale at $0.015 offers an opportunity for early investors to lock in major gains. Now is the time to get in before prices rise in the next presale phase, with over $2.7 million raised and 5000+ investors already in.
