On Nov. 16, the XRP price reached $1 — a major milestone for the cryptocurrency. In addition, the market cap has surged 26.76% to $57.98 billion, while the trading volume has reached $13.13 billion.

Open interest in XRP derivatives has surged by 10.44%, reaching $1.56 billion, indicating increased speculative interest and possibly institutional involvement.
Crypto analyst Ali Martinez has spotted the recent XRP whale activity. According to him, over 320 million XRP were bought in the last 72 hours.
This rise follows a breakout from a symmetrical triangle pattern, often signaling significant price movements. Analysts note that XRP’s current trajectory resembles its performance in 2017, when its all-time high (ATH) reached $3.3.
The price surge might have been partially triggered by its listing on Robinhood. CryptoQuant’s exchange reserves metric suggests a growing belief in the coin’s long-term prospects.

Ripple Labs has also made progress in its ongoing legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with a recent favorable court ruling and the approval of a joint motion for final judgment, adding further optimism to the market.
Beyond the legal developments, speculation about a dirham-backed stablecoin being developed by Ripple has also contributed to XRP’s price rise. This follows the launch of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, which is fully backed by the U.S. dollar.
In parallel, Bitwise announced plans to convert its Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund (BITW) into an ETF, which would include exposure to XRP.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse commented on the news via X, further fueling market enthusiasm.
By now, you’re probably aware of the benefits of turmeric: It’s antioxidant-rich, helps promote a healthy inflammatory response, and even supports joint health.* It’s no wonder people turn to turmeric supplements to reap the maximum health benefits of this root. But the thing is, not all turmeric supplements are created equal.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications, consult with your doctor before starting a supplement routine. It is always optimal to consult with a health care provider when considering what supplements are right for you. † Acumin™ research has demonstrated superior bioavailability, curcuminoid serum response, and stability compared to other common forms of turmeric root extract (e.g., volatile oil, phospholipid/liposomal, and standard 95% curcumin).
Dogecoin (DOGE) has experienced a significant rally, surging from $0.15 to $0.43 within days, marking its highest level in over three years. The meme coin flipped XRP early Sunday after a 14% daily increase, contributing to a 55% gain over the past week.
The rally was further fueled by a statement from the Department of Government Efficiency, which referenced “DOGE,” sparking market excitement.

However, after reaching a high of $0.44 on Nov. 12, DOGE corrected by 22% to $0.34 within hours. Since then, it has traded within a range of $0.34 to $0.44 as momentum slows.
Elon Musk lawsuit
The 2022 class-action lawsuit accusing Elon Musk and Tesla of manipulating Dogecoin (DOGE) prices has been withdrawn by the plaintiffs as of Nov. 14, 2024. The investors had alleged that Musk and Tesla engaged in a “crypto pyramid scheme” to inflate DOGE’s value, seeking $258 billion in damages.

In the legal filing, the plaintiffs agreed to withdraw their appeal from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and waived their right to pursue any further post-judgment relief. Both sides have also agreed to drop motions for sanctions related to the case. However, the withdrawal must still receive formal approval from U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein for the litigation to be officially concluded.
The lawsuit was centered on claims that Musk manipulated DOGE prices through media appearances and social media posts.
DOGE price prediction
Dogecoin (DOGE) has recently experienced significant bullish momentum, highlighted by a golden cross — a technical pattern where the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average.
Related
Historically, this formation signals strong upward trends and has often preceded major price rallies. DOGE’s price has surged, breaking through resistance levels at $0.22 and $0.30, with rising trading volumes further validating this momentum.
Veteran trader Peter Brandt noted DOGE’s adherence to classical charting principles. He highlighted a similarity between its current price action and a pattern observed in 2020, where a sideways accumulation phase evolved into an inverse head-and-shoulders (H&S) formation.

This same pattern in 2024 has contributed to DOGE’s massive 190% rally. Brandt’s analysis underscores the technical strength behind Dogecoin’s recent performance, suggesting the potential for sustained bullish trends.

The Pound Sterling sellers refused to give up as the US Dollar remained in command.
GBP/USD eyes UK and US economic data for some relief.
Technically, downside risks remain intact for the Pound Sterling on a daily bearish RSI.
The Pound Sterling (GBP) booked the seventh straight weekly loss against the US Dollar (USD), with the GBP/USD pair falling as low as 1.2630 during the week.
Pound Sterling gave in to the US Dollar’s dominance
The USD rode the Trump trades optimism wave higher following US President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, clinching the highest level in a year against its major currency rivals. Markets build on the narrative that Trump’s tax cuts and trade tariff policies will likely rekindle inflationary pressures, calling for higher interest rates and eventually supporting the Greenback, US stocks and US Treasury bond yields.
The buying interest around the USD remained unabated, slamming the GBP/USD pair to the lowest level since July at 1.2630. The Greenback received an added boost from fading expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will continue its easing trajectory after the US election outcome.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell echoed his colleagues’ caution on inflation and that the Fed could remain patient with its policy approach. Powell said in his speech on Thursday that there was no need to rush rate cuts with the economy still growing and the job market solid, despite inflation still above the 2.0% target, tempering expectations for a rate cut next month, per Reuters.
The sticky US Consumer Price Index (CPI) and hot Producer Price Index (PPI) data for October also backed the hawkish shift in the Fed’s policy stance. US CPI rose 2.6% annually in October, coming in higher than the 2.4% growth in September while meeting the forecast. The annual core CPI inflation steadied at 3.3% in the same period vs. 3.3% expected.
Meanwhile, the annual headline factory-gate inflation rose to 2.4% in October after increasing 1.9% in September, indicating that disinflation is losing momentum. Markets now price in a less than 60% chance of a 25 basis points (Fed) rate reduction next month, the CME Group’s Fed Watch Tool showed, down from 82.5% in the prior session.
The bullish undertone in the Greenback hindered the Pound Sterling from capitalizing on prudent remarks from the Bank of England (BoE) policymakers concerning the bank’s path forward on interest rates. BoE Chief Economist, Huw Pill, said that the latest “labor data shows pay growth still at high levels,” adding that “further rate cuts is likely to be a gradual process.”
Meanwhile, his colleague Catherine Mann, the hawkish dissenter, noted that “central banks must ensure these inflation pressures do not get embedded. I do not think high interest rates are bad for high productivity.”
Heading into the weekend, Pound Sterling sellers took a breather as they awaited the US Retail Sales report for October for further incentives in trading the GBP/USD pair.
The US Dollar gained some pips following upbeat data, as Retail Sales rose by 0.4% MoM in October, better than the 0.3% anticipated by market players. Additionally, the September reading was upwardly revised from 0.4% to 0.8%.
The week ahead: UK inflation data and global PMIs eyed
After a busy second half of the last week, the early part of this week seems to be quiet data-wise from both sides of the Atlantic until the release of the UK CPI inflation report on Wednesday.
In the meantime, the appearances by the BoE and Fed policymakers and mid-tier US housing data will keep traders entertained.
Wednesday’s UK CPI data will hold the key to influencing the market expectations of future rate cuts by the BoE as policymakers assess the impact of the Autumn Budget on the economy and inflation prospects.
BoE official Dave Ramsden is due to speak about monetary policy at the University of Leeds later on Wednesday.
Central bankers’ speeches will dominate on Thursday amid the weekly US Jobless Claims data release.
S&P Global preliminary Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data from the UK and the US will wrap a relatively data-quiet week.
GBP/USD: Technical Outlook
The daily technical setup for the GBP/USD pair suggests that sellers will continue jumping on any recovery attempts as the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains in negative territory.
With the previous week’s dual Bear Crosses in play, the downside risks remain intact for the pair.
The Pound Sterling needs a weekly candlestick closing below the August 8 low of 1.2665 to stretch the downside momentum.
If the selling pressure intensifies, sellers could attack the 1.2550 psychological barrier. On a failure to defend that level, the May 9 low of 1.2446 will be challenged.
However, the pair could see a brief upside correction before the next leg down kicks in.
Recapturing the 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) at 1.2819 is critical to initiating any meaningful recovery in the near term.
The next topside barrier aligns at the 21-day SMA at 1.2908.
With Dogecoin (DOGE) standing out as the best-performing crypto asset among the major cryptocurrencies, market experts foresee further price gains over the coming months while the crypto bull run continues.
Dogecoin continues to trade at a three-year high following a sensational bull run over the last few days, which propelled it into the top six cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. At press time, Dogecoin is trading at $0.3961, boasting a 250% gain in the last 30 days. By comparison, Bitcoin has surged by only 40% during this period.
Although Dogecoin’s explosive upswing has cooled off in the past two days, analysts remain confident that the best is yet to come.
Dogecoin Price Outlook for the Next 6 Months
Ash Crypto, a prominent crypto pundit with 1.2 million followers on X, recently shared his outlook for various crypto assets. He expects his projections to materialize over the next six to twelve months.
As for Bitcoin, he predicts a peak between $150K and $250K. Notably, Bitcoin is trading at $90,500 at press time, meaning a move to $250K would represent an additional 176% increase.
In this scenario, Ash expects Dogecoin to finally break the much-anticipated $1 price point in 6 months.
Dogecoin’s recent surge took its price to $0.4359, putting $1 just 130% away. However, DOGE lost momentum and has since dropped to $0.3566.
Meanwhile, Ash projects in 12 months, Dogecoin could trade between $1 and $3.
From its current price of $0.3906, today’s Dogecoin investors could potentially see an additional 668% gain. Meanwhile, analysts like Ali Martinez have issued even bolder price predictions for Dogecoin.
Dogecoin Could Even Rally 4,443% by Next Year
According to Martinez, Dogecoin could soar by up to 4,443%, potentially reaching $18, based on its current position within an ascending price channel. Yet, he believes DOGE could go even higher.
Specifically, Martinez cited historical patterns suggesting that Dogecoin could undergo a parabolic run with a target price as high as $23.25. This loftier projection is based on Fibonacci retracement levels and past breakout trends.
There Will Be Dips Along the Way
However, Martinez has cautioned that the projected Dogecoin rally will not be “up only,” noting that periodic dips will occur, consistent with past trends.
For example, in 2017, Dogecoin surged 9,470% but experienced two significant corrections—one of 40% and another of 84%. Similarly, in 2021, DOGE soared 30,700%, with pullbacks of 46% and 53%, reassuring investors that major dips will accompany any future gains.

Scholars discuss the regulatory landscape surrounding GLP-1 drugs and dietary supplements.
A breakthrough in long-term weight management has sparked demand for a new generation of weight loss drugs. In 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Ozempic to treat type-two diabetes. Four years later, the agency approved Wegovy—a higher-dose version containing the same active ingredients—for chronic weight management in overweight adults.
Ozempic and other weight-loss drugs work by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone, which the body naturally produces after eating. The drugs stimulate the body to release more insulin after meals, helping to reduce post-meal blood sugar spikes. These medications also regulate appetite by sending signals to the brain that create a feeling of fullness, which helps to prevent overeating.
The commercial success of prescription weight loss medications is hard to ignore. On TikTok, the hashtag #Ozempic has amassed over 273 million views. Since 2023, the market value of Novo Nordisk—the Danish company that produces Ozempic and Wegovy—has surpassed the entire economy of Denmark.
The popularity of these drugs has created supply shortages. In 2022, FDA added Ozempic and Wegovy to its Drug Shortages Database, allowing pharmacies to produce compound versions to fill supply gaps. Licensed pharmacists custom-make compound medications by mixing or adjusting ingredients to meet specific patient needs, often at a lower cost. In 2024, however, FDA declared that Ozempic and Wegovy were no longer in short supply, which ended access to these more affordable compound options.
Although many employers cover diabetes medications, fewer extend coverage to weight-loss drugs, partly due to their high cost. A four-week supply of Wegovy, for example, costs around $1,350. Even employers that do cover anti-obesity drugs often set strict requirements, such as prior authorization or the use of other weight-loss methods first. Some employers also set higher body mass index (BMI) thresholds than FDA to qualify for obesity medications.
Skeptics of prescription weight-loss medications say that these drugs may not be the quick fix that many people hope for. Ozempic and Wegovy are “forever drugs”—once a person stops taking the medications, they typically regain the weight unless they make changes to their diet or physical activity levels.
Doctors also worry about over-prescription. FDA has approved Ozempic only for diabetes. The agency has authorized the use of Wegovy for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or those with a BMI of 27 plus at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type-two diabetes. But many doctors are prescribing these medications off-label for patients who do not qualify under FDA standards. Dr. A. Enrique Caballero, an endocrinologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, expressed his concerns: “There isn’t enough evidence to know whether these drugs might be beneficial or dangerous for people who fall outside of the FDA criteria.”
In this week’s Saturday Seminar, scholars discuss the regulatory landscape surrounding weight-loss drugs and supplements.
In a recent article in the Journal of Food Law & Policy, practitioner Jessie L. Bekker and Alex Flores and Michael Sinha of Saint Louis University School of Law argue that the U.S. Congress should grant broader authority to FDA to regulate dietary supplements. Bekker and coauthors point out that under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), FDA only has authority to conduct post-market safety review of supplements. Without the authority to conduct pre-market review, the Bekker team notes, FDA relies on voluntary consumer reports to learn about harmful ingredients in dietary supplements. To solve this problem, the Bekker team recommends amending DSHEA to allow FDA to regulate dietary supplements before they enter the market.
In an article in the Indiana Health Law Review, Steven R. Salbu of Georgia Institute of Technology explores a more expansive notion of public health that aims to protect people from their own dietary choices. Salbu notes that traditional public health initiatives only regulate external hazards like public sewage, communicable diseases, and other conditions over which people have no control. Salbu argues that, in recent years, increasing rates of child obesity and other related health conditions have necessitated more aggressive regulations that protect minors from their own food consumption choices. Salbu recommends adopting practices that nudge consumers toward healthier dietary options while maintaining consumers’ ultimate freedom of choice.
In an article in the Administrative Law Review, Marie Boyd, a professor at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, argues that FDA’s fragmented and reactive regulatory approach fails to adequately protect children’s health. Boyd applies the feminist legal framework known as “asking the child question” to highlight how FDA policies consistently overlook the unique vulnerabilities of children. To solve this problem, Boyd proposes establishing an Office of Children’s Health within FDA to fulfill the agency’s public health responsibilities toward children, ensuring child-centered regulation across all product categories, including dietary supplements, for greater safety and oversight.
In a note in the Arizona State Law Journal, recent Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law graduate Nicholas A. Traver argues that regulation under DSHEA fails to protect consumers from contaminated and mislabeled dietary supplements. Traver explains that DSHEA does not require disclosure of supplements’ ingredients, sometimes with grave consequences, as when the Olympic Committee banned the athlete Jessica Hardy from the games after she unwittingly took supplements containing banned substances. Traver proposes a federally backed, voluntary certification program to distinguish reputable and disreputable products. Modeled after the USDA Organic seal, Traver suggests that such a program would provide consumers with a recognizable quality mark and bolster the supplement market against low-quality “lemons” that undermine industry credibility.
In an article in the Maryland Law Review, Michael Mattioli of Indiana University discusses supplement manufacturers’ misleading uses of regulatory approvals, such as “FDA-approved,” in advertising. The author notes that such advertisements could be regulated as deceptive speech by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and through enforcement of the Lanham Act, which “forbids the registration of trademarks” that could cause viewers to falsely associate products with the government. Mattioli also advocates funding public awareness campaigns against such advertising practices and placing the burden of proof in regulatory enforcement proceedings on accused advertisers to prove that their product claims are not misleading.
In an article in the Hastings Journal on Gender and the Law, authors Nicholas Cardaci, Marilyn Bromberg, and Kathy Luong analyze the regulation of miracle weight-loss products (MWLPs)—products that promise unrealistic weight-loss effects—and the impact of celebrity advocacy on adolescents’ mental health. The authors note that when celebrities promote MWLPs, they disproportionately harm young and economically disadvantaged audiences. The authors highlight the lack of statutory guidance in the United States to regulate celebrity endorsements and propose legislative reforms that would prohibit false and misleading representations in advertising. Moreover, the authors urge celebrities to put pressure on social media companies to stop advertising MWLPs to young people. Together, the authors conclude, legal reform and celebrity advocacy would help protect young people from miracle weight-loss drugs.
The Saturday Seminar is a weekly feature that aims to put into written form the kind of content that would be conveyed in a live seminar involving regulatory experts. Each week, The Regulatory Review publishes a brief overview of a selected regulatory topic and then distills recent research and scholarly writing on that topic.
The US dollar initially rallied a bit during the course of the trading session on Thursday as we reached the 156 level and peaked above there but have since pulled back ever so slightly.
At this point, I think this remains a buy on the dip market.
This has been the pay for some time, and I think it will continue to be going into the future at this point. The interest rate differential has been a great way to pad your account for some time.
So, you need to keep that in mind, but we are a little stretched. So, it’s not a huge surprise to see a little bit of give back in the middle of the day. Cardano’s ADA has been one of the crypto market’s star performers since Donald Trump’s presidential election victory. In the past nine days, ADA has posted gains of over 100%. Despite the market cooling off on Friday, the altcoin continued its charge, rising above the $0.6837 mark.
A potential reason for the increased bullish action in the past 24 hours is rumors that the recently formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is considering using Cardano to build a federal blockchain election voting and identity verification system. However, neither the DOGE nor key Cardano community members confirmed the rumors.
Meanwhile, ADA’s exchange net flows showed increased buying pressure from bulls after its price touched $0.57, per Coinglass data. ADA witnessed net exchange outflows of $50.89 million between Tuesday and Wednesday — its highest since 2024. Exchange net outflows indicate higher buying pressure among investors.
ADA Exchange Net Flows
While exchange flows have flipped to inflows in the past two days, price action shows buying pressure is still dominant in the ADA market.
On the derivatives front, traders have also shown a high preference for ADA, sending its open interest above $550 million for the first time since March.
ADA Open Interest
Open interest is the total number of outstanding contracts in a derivatives market. When prices rise alongside open interest, it indicates strong bullish momentum.
Cardano Price Prediction: ADA eyes $0.8 after bouncing off 14-day EMA
Cardano has risen nearly 18% in the past 24 hours since bouncing off the 14-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) on Thursday.
The altcoin is testing the resistance level at $0.6837. A firm close above this resistance could see ADA continue the uptrend to tackle its yearly high resistance of $0.8104.
ADA/USDT daily chart
The bullish momentum is strengthened by ADA’s extended rally since breaking out of a seven-month bearish trend on November 6.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is in the overbought region, indicating ADA may see a potential correction.
A daily candlestick close below $0.4570 will invalidate the bullish thesis.
