What is a detox? Here’s why you may want to think twice before trying one.

By |2024-10-13T19:03:13+03:00October 13, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Supplements and diets marketed as “detoxes” claim to rid your body of harmful toxins, helping you to lose weight, feel less tired and gain more energy.

Trying a detox or cleanse may appear to be the solution to a variety of health concerns, but do they work, and are they actually safe to try? In practice, “there is very little evidence behind really any of the popularized gut detox trends,” says Dr. Josephine Ni, MD, a gastroenterologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Not only are these “detoxes” unnecessary for maintaining health, but in certain cases, they have the potential to cause harm to the body. USA TODAY spoke with gastroenterologists to find out why.

What is a detox?

While there is no medical consensus surrounding the term “gut detox,” there are a plethora of supplements, trend diets and colonics that are marketed to detox or cleanse your body of harmful toxins, Ni says.

To the body, “toxins are bacterial products, viral fungal products, [or] plant and animal products,” that act like a “poison to human cells or nerves,” Dr. Sarah Kahn, MD, a board-certified gastroenterologist at Stamford Health.

Proponents of detoxing claim purported benefits, such as restored energy, weight loss, relief from constipation and less frequent headaches, fatigue or muscle aches, per Cleveland Clinic.

The use of colonics to cleanse the colon is a particular concern for Ni. Colonics “involve using either enemas or some sort of immersive to rinse ‘physical toxins’ from the colon,” she says. While this might sound like a good idea, there is little to no evidence to suggest that doing so provides benefits. “I’m not aware of any randomized clinical trials that have shown any long term benefits to colonic cleanses,” Ni says.

Are detoxes necessary?

Detoxes and cleanses are unnecessary to maintain health. “As far as I know, there’s zero scientific evidence to support the use of these cleanses for proposed gut health,” Ni says.

It’s important to underscore that “our organ systems are programmed for detoxification,” Kahn says.

In the body, several processes naturally serve to eliminate “normal byproducts that can be toxins if they build up in large and high levels,” explains Ni. The kidneys, liver and gastrointestinal tract all play a role in guiding byproducts out of your body, she says.

Because the body is already designed to remove these toxins without additional help, “you don’t need to introduce other exogenous compounds or mixes,” she says.

Are detoxes safe?

Dietary supplements marketed to detox or cleanse your body do not require approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, “so you have no idea what is actually in these particular products,” or what type of laxatives are being included, Ni says. “In fact, some laxatives can be detrimental to your health depending on their mechanism of action,” she says.

Additionally, while you might think there’s little harm in doing a detox diet, you actually risk depriving yourself of essential nutrients. Take juice cleanses, for instance, Ni says. During a juice cleanse, juices tend to be meal replacements. If you are solely consuming fruits and vegetables stripped of their natural fiber, your diet will lack fiber. Fiber is integral to digestive function, so by undergoing a juice cleanse, you’re actually “depriving yourself of a very natural part of your diet,” Ni explains.

Are there safe ways to detox your body?

“There is no universally safe way to do [a detox], because one, detoxes have not been well studied, and two, they’re not regulated,” Ni says. “For that reason, it’s very, very difficult for us to say that they’re ever safe to use when you buy them from the market,” she says.

Rather than resort to a gut detox or colonic, if you are experiencing health concerns, always seek advice from a healthcare professional, Ni emphasizes. Your primary care provider can tailor an individualized approach to meet your personal health goals, and ensure “that any modifications to a diet, and or lifestyle, are not just healthy, but also sustainable,” she says.

Uniswap’s UNI Token: Empowering Decentralized Exchange Governance

Uniswap’s UNI token, launched in September 2020, enables holders to participate in governing the Uniswap platform by voting on developments like fee structures and token distribution. This move came as a response to competition, encouraging loyalty by distributing 150 million UNI tokens to past users, with each receiving 400 tokens worth over $1,000 at launch.

Uniswap operates as a decentralized exchange on the Ethereum blockchain, using an automated liquidity protocol that allows users to trade directly from their wallets without an order book. This approach offers full control over funds, enhancing security and accessibility. The platform’s innovative technology and significant assets highlight its potential influence in the evolving cryptocurrency market.

AVAX: Eco-Friendly Blockchain with Low Fees and Customizable Subnets

Avalanche (AVAX) is a Layer-1 blockchain known for low fees and rapid transactions, processing up to 4,500 transactions per second. It allows users to launch customizable Subnets, enabling the creation of personalized blockchains. Avalanche uses a hybrid consensus mechanism that blends classical and Nakamoto consensus, achieving transaction finality in less than 2 seconds.

The platform consists of three interoperable chains—X-Chain, C-Chain, and P-Chain—that handle transactions and smart contracts. AVAX, its native token, is essential for transaction fees, staking for network security, and operating Subnets. With its innovative technology and features, AVAX has potential appeal in the current market cycle.

Injective (INJ): Interoperable Blockchain for Advanced Decentralized Finance

Injective (INJ) is an open, interoperable layer-one blockchain tailored for decentralized finance applications. It empowers next-generation DeFi projects, including decentralized spot and derivatives exchanges, prediction markets, and lending protocols. Injective offers unique financial infrastructure features like a fully decentralized, MEV-resistant on-chain orderbook and supports all forms of financial markets—spot, perpetual, futures, and options—fully on-chain.

Compatible with Ethereum, IBC-enabled blockchains, and non-EVM chains like Solana, it provides seamless cross-chain bridging. Built with the Cosmos SDK and utilizing a Tendermint-based Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, Injective achieves instant transaction finality with high throughput (over 10,000 TPS). With its advanced technology and growing ecosystem, INJ holds significant potential in the current market cycle.

Conclusion

Tokens like UNI, AVAX, and INJ have less short-term potential. ZircuitDEX offers 500X capital efficiency, zero slippage, and lightning-fast transactions, enhancing capital management. The ZDEX Token presale at a 70% discount presents a chance for 500% returns upon launch, with benefits like early access to meme coins, reduced fees, governance rights, and revenue sharing.

10 Best Supplements for Weight Loss, According to a Dietitian

When it comes to weight loss supplements, the market is full of bold promises like “Lose 10 pounds in a week!” or “Burn calories overnight!” But the truth is, no supplement can magically melt away the pounds. While weight loss supplements can be a helpful addition to your journey, they are not a one-stop solution.

As a registered dietitian, I emphasize to my clients that lasting and safe weight loss is built on the foundation of following a healthy and balanced diet, being physically active, getting sufficient sleep, and managing stress. If you follow these healthy habits, adding a weight loss supplement to your routine can further support your weight loss goals.

This article isn’t about promoting unhealthy or extreme measures towards weight loss. Instead, we will be highlighting the best supplements for weight loss that contain research-backed ingredients that may support your weight loss efforts when taken in tandem with following a healthy lifestyle.

Types of Weight Loss Supplements

While there’s an abundance of options out there, we’ve chosen options that feature the following evidence-based ingredients:

  • Probiotics: Maintaining a healthy gut may be key to weight loss, as research shows that a person’s gut microbiome can influence their ability to shed pounds. Certain probiotic strains help rebalance the gut and improve digestion, which could support weight loss efforts.
  • Protein Powders: Bumping up your protein intake, especially while following a calorie-restricted diet, can help preserve lean muscle mass while promoting fat loss. Since muscle burns more calories even at rest, adding protein powders to your diet can boost metabolism and help keep you feeling full longer.
  • Fiber Supplements: Adding more fiber to your diet through supplements or high-fiber foods can aid weight loss by promoting satiety, reducing appetite, and preventing overeating.
  • Vitamins and Minerals: If you’re deficient in certain vitamins or minerals, correcting those deficiencies through supplementation can support your weight loss journey. For example, low levels of vitamin D, iron, or B12 can hinder weight loss by affecting energy levels, metabolism, or hormone balance.
  • Thermogenic supplements: These products, often marketed as “fat burners” or “metabolism boosters,” typically contain caffeine, capsaicin (from chili peppers), or plant extracts. While they may help increase calorie burning, some thermogenic supplements carry risks, such as high caffeine content or undisclosed ingredients, and may interact with medications. It’s essential to choose them carefully.

What Is the Ideal Fat-Burning Heart Rate for Weight Loss?

Benefits of Using Weight Loss Supplements

As the name implies, supplements are meant to complement a healthy lifestyle, not replace it. While they won’t do the work for you, they may be able to enhance your efforts when combined with healthy habits.

Potential Drawbacks of Weight Loss Supplements

According to NIH’s Office of Dietary Supplements, there is limited evidence supporting the effectiveness of weight loss supplements. Keep in mind that the FDA doesn’t regulate dietary supplements, so technically anyone can create a supplement, slap a label on it, and sell it to consumers. The FDA does not check whether what’s listed on the label is actually present in the pill, powder, or gummy in safe, accurate, or effective amounts. This lack of regulation poses health risks to consumers. Therefore, it’s critical to choose reputable supplement brands and check if the product has undergone third-party testing.

Weight loss supplements can also be costly, and some may interact with medications or other supplements, potentially leading to adverse effects.

How We Selected the Weight Loss Supplements

  • Safety: We carefully reviewed ingredients to ensure they are safe for consumption.
  • Research-Based Ingredients: Only supplements containing scientifically supported ingredients were included.
  • Third-Party Testing: We selected products from reputable companies that conduct third-party testing for quality assurance.

*As always, consult your healthcare to ensure these supplements are safe for you before starting them*

Can a Supplement Really Help Control Your Pesky Eye Floaters? : ScienceAlert

By |2024-10-13T12:59:48+03:00October 13, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

If you look up at the sky on a clear day, you might notice little cobweb-like structures drifting across your field of vision. They are known as floaters or, more formally, muscae volitantes – Latin for ‘flying flies’.

Like regular flies, muscae volitantes are rather pesky, so it’s not surprising that people want to banish them. A recent article in the Mirror, “Eye floaters: What causes them and how to get rid of them naturally“, claims to have a solution.

Sarah Brewer, a GP, is quoted in the article as saying that a supplement called Clearer, made by Theia Bio, is “a natural but effective solution to address annoying floaters”. Despite the promise in the headline, Dr. Brewer does not talk about getting rid of floaters.

The Theia Bio website uses more precise language. It says: “Clearer contains a blend of antioxidants and antiglycation micronutrients that has been scientifically proven to reduce eye floater size and visual discomfort in around 70 percent of test subjects over six months.”

Before we look at the feasibility of a supplement to “address” annoying floaters or reduce their size, let’s look at what floaters are and why they occur.

The main reason floaters occur is age. With age, the vitreous – a clear, gel-like substance inside the eye – starts to thicken and shrink. Vitreous consists mostly of water, collagens, and an acid called hyaluronan. Over time, the vitreous degenerates slightly, and little clumps of collagen begin to form. Floaters are the shadows these clumps cast on the retina.

A simulated image of floaters, or muscae volitantes, against a blue sky. (Acdx/Wikimedia Commons)

With age, it’s normal for the vitreous to pull away from the back of the eye, a process called posterior vitreous detachment, and this causes more floaters.

Is it possible that vitamin supplements could affect the clumps and strands of collagen, to improve the vitreous?

In 2022, researchers in Taiwan reported that taking high-dose mixed fruit enzyme supplements could reduce floaters, but it’s not clear how they measured the number of floaters, so it is difficult to judge this study properly without more information.

Theia Bio, the company that Dr. Brewer was speaking in partnership with, shares a link to a study on its website as scientific proof that the Clearer supplement can “reduce eye floater size and visual discomfort”.

But floaters are tricky to measure because the vitreous is mobile. Every time you move your eyes, the vitreous opacities (the floating objects in the vitreous) move, and the floaters – the shadows the vitreous opacities cast – move too.

The vitreous clumps are 3D, not 2D, so catching them from different angles affects the measure you take, and floaters appear bigger when they’re closer to the front of your eye. The reduction in opacity size in the study is based on just 26 people who took the formulation, and opacity sizes were reported in a 2D measure (cm²).

This small trial does not convince me that floater size can be reduced with this dietary supplement.

What about other solutions?

There are a couple of medical ways to get rid of floaters. The most accepted is a procedure called vitrectomy, which surgically removes the vitreous. But this surgery poses risks to a person’s vision far more significant than the floaters themselves.

Zapping floaters with a laser (known as a YAG laser) is another option, but not all experts agree that this is safe. Worryingly, several private companies offer this treatment as a good solution, even though there are reports of damage to various eye structures and glaucoma as a result.

Other “solutions” suggested online include intermittent fasting, temple massage, and acupressure, as well as eye exercises. But there is no credible evidence for these.

There is some evidence that lifestyle factors can accelerate or decelerate aging in the eye more generally, which might affect the age you first notice floaters, or how large or troublesome they are.

For example, eating lots of vegetables rich in carotenoids (spinach, broccoli, watermelon, pink grapefruit) and fatty fish containing omega-3, may help people at risk of age-related macular degeneration.

Emerging evidence also suggests that excessive exposure to blue light from mobile phones, tablet computers, and LCD screens might also accelerate age-related eye changes. But while slowing aging in the eye would be great, it’s not proof that it will stop people from getting floaters.

Can a Supplement Really Help Control Your Pesky Eye Floaters? : ScienceAlert
Evidence suggests blue light from your phone might impact your eyes. (monthirayodtiwong/Canva)

So what should you do if you find yourself troubled by floaters? Mostly, the best thing to do is ignore them. Over time, the brain adapts, and we notice them much less.

You’re more likely to get floaters if you are shortsighted, had cataract surgery, or if you’ve had eye inflammation (swelling). And you might have more floaters if you have diabetes, so glucose and diabetic control are important.

Occasionally, floaters can be signs of a serious condition. If you suddenly notice a lot of new floaters or flashes, or if a shadow or grey curtain comes down over your vision, this could indicate a retinal tear needing urgent surgery.

The verdict

Can supplements “address” collagen clumps in the vitreous? There is little evidence to support this at present.

Can supplements and lifestyle changes slow the aging process in the eye, delaying the onset of these age-related floaters? Possibly.

Dr. Brewer makes excellent recommendations about nutritious food, hydration, and sleep – all great ways to maintain your health. It’s doubtful that it will have a direct impact on floaters, but it’s great health advice generally and might delay the aging processes in the eye by which they arrive.

Kawa Wong, the founder of Theia Bio, told The Conversation that his company “does not promise a cure for eye floaters; rather, it offers the best nutritional support for eye floater patients based on available scientific evidence”.The Conversation

Dogecoin price prediction – DOGE’s short-term price targets include…

By |2024-10-13T10:27:04+03:00October 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

  • DOGE surged by 3.05% on the charts over the last 24 hours
  • At the time of writing, the memecoin was stuck in a consolidation range between $0.1 and $0.13

Dogecoin [DOGE], the world’s largest memecoin by market cap, has appreciated by a significant margin over the past month. In fact, at the time of writing, DOGE was trading at $0.011, up 3.05% in the last 24 hours, with the memecoin gaining on the weekly and monthly charts too.

And yet, despite the sustained hike in Dogecoin’s value, the memecoin remains almost 85% below its 2021 ATH of $0.73. At press time, it was also 51.32% below its yearly high of $0.228.

Even so, many in Dogecoin’s community remain optimistic, especially in light of the crypto’s recent bullish action. Current market conditions have also left analysts betting on a potential memecoin-driven bull market.

One of these analysts is Kevin Capital who suggested that DOGE is currently at the perfect buying opportunity, before it surges for real.

What does market sentiment say?

In his analysis, Kevin observed that Dogecoin is still attempting to create a successful bullish retest of a macro falling wedge. This, after completing its typical bull market 60% correction.

Dogecoin price prediction – DOGE’s short-term price targets include…

Source: X

As such, a successful retest of this level will see DOGE hike to a local high, one surpassing the $0.13 resistance level.

Historically, the last time Dogecoin broke from this channel, it went to climb to its ATH in 2021. In fact, even 2024’s breakout saw DOGE surge to a yearly high.

Therefore, based on this analogy, a successful retest and breakout will push the memecoin’s price to a new high. At least on a yearly basis.

What does DOGE’s price chart say?

While the aforementioned observation is a positive one, it’s essential to determine what market fundamentals say.

Source: Coinglass

For example, Dogecoin’s long/short ratio, a metric that examines the taker buy and sell volume, remained above 1 on the 4-hour charts.

At press time, the long/short ratio was 1.07. This suggested that long-position buyers have been dominant, with many investors anticipating the price to climb.

Source: Coinglass

Additionally, Dogecoin’s Spot Netflow has remained negative over the past 2 weeks. This meant that investors are withdrawing their DOGE tokens from exchanges to private wallets.

A sustained stay at this level will result in a supply squeeze, one which results in high demand with less supply – Driving prices up.

Source: Coinglass

Finally, DOGE’s Options volume surged by 118.21% to $120.64 million. Such a surge usually entails that many traders are entering the market – A sign of rising market activity.

Thus, an uptick in call Options volume implies that many investors are bullish and expect the price to rise even further.

Can Dogecoin finally rally?

According to AMBCrypto’s analysis, DOGE has faced multiple rejections at the $0.130 resistance level. Since the memecoin is experiencing positive market sentiment now, it may be well positioned for more gains on price charts.

Right now, its price is stuck in the consolidation range between $0.1 and $0.13. A break above $0.13 will see DOGE hit a 3-month-high of $0.14. A breakdown will see the memecoin dip below $0.1.

  • The technical outlook suggests that sellers remain reluctant to bet on a deeper correction.
  • Investors will keep a close eye on macroeconomic data releases from China next week.

Gold (XAU/USD) declined sharply in the first half of the week but regained its traction after coming within a touching distance of $2,600. Investors will scrutinize macroeconomic data releases from China next week, while keeping a close eye on geopolitical developments.

Gold stages limited correction

Gold edged lower at the beginning of the week and closed in the red on Monday as the positive impact of the previous Friday’s upbeat September employment data continued to be felt on the USD. Meanwhile, although geopolitical tensions remain high, they haven’t escalated any further with Israel taking its time in mulling its retaliatory response to Iran. In turn, the broad-based USD strength caused XAU/USD to stay on the back foot.

The National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC), China’s state planner, said on Tuesday that the downward pressure on China’s economy is increasing, adding “China’s economy is facing more complex internal, external environments.”

Growing concerns over an economic downturn in China, the world’s biggest consumer of Gold, caused the precious metal to continue to stretch lower. Reflecting this sentiment, China’s Shanghai Composite Index fell nearly 7%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index lost over 1% on Wednesday.

The hawkish tone in the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) September policy meeting helped the US Dollar (USD) outperform its rivals late Wednesday, not allowing XAU/USD to stage a rebound. The publication showed that even though a substantial majority of Fed officials supported the 50-basis-point (bps) rate cut, there was even a broader consensus that this initial step would not lock the Fed into any specific pace for future rate cuts. Additionally, some participants favored only a 25 bps reduction in the policy rate cut, while “a few others” mentioned they could have supported that decision as well.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Thursday that annual inflation in the US, as measured by the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), softened to 2.4% in September from 2.5% in August. The core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose 3.3% on a yearly basis, surpassing the market expectation of 3.2%. Finally, the CPI and the core CPI increased 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively, on a monthly basis. Other data from the US showed that the number of first-time applications for unemployment benefits climbed to 258,000 in the week ending October 5 from 225,000 in the previous week. The disappointing Initial Jobless Claims reading didn’t allow the USD to benefit from the inflation report and helped XAU/USD find its footing.

In the absence of fundamental drivers, Gold continued to stretch higher on Friday but struggled to gather bullish momentum. The final data of the week from the US showed that the Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 1.8% on a yearly basis in September, arriving above the market forecast of 1.6%.

Gold investors await key data releases from China

The US economic calendar will not feature any high-tier data releases in the first half of the week. On Thursday, the US Census Bureau will release Retail Sales data for September. The market reaction to this data could be straightforward, with a positive surprise supporting the USD and a negative reading having the opposite impact on the currency’s valuation. Nevertheless, this data by itself is unlikely to have a strong enough effect to alter Gold’s direction.

Meanwhile, market participants will pay close attention to macroeconomic data releases from China. In the Asian session on Monday, Trade Balance figures could set Gold’s tone at the beginning of the week. A sharp decline in the trade surplus could feed into concerns over China’s economic health and weigh on Gold. Early Friday, the third-quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is forecast to show an annualized growth of 4.6%, alongside the Industrial Production and Retail Sales data for September, will be scrutinized by investors. On a yearly basis, Industrial Production and Retail Sales are anticipated to rise by 4.6% and 2.4%, respectively. Again, disappointing data releases are likely to hurt Gold, while positive surprises could be supportive for the yellow metal.

Investors will continue to assess geopolitical developments next week as well. If Israel carries on with a retaliatory attack against Iran, a deepening crisis in the Middle East could help Gold benefit from safe-haven demand.

Gold technical outlook

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator on the daily chart rose toward 60 after falling to the neutral 50 area earlier in the week, suggesting that Gold’s bullish bias remains intact following a technical correction.

On the upside, the midpoint of the ascending regression channel coming from June aligns as immediate resistance at $2,660 before $2,675 (static level) and $2,700-$2,710 (round level, upper limit of the ascending channel).

In case XAU/USD drops below $2,600-$2,590 (lower limit of the ascending channel, Fibonacci 23.6% retracement of the June-September uptrend) and starts using this level as resistance, technical sellers could take action. In this scenario, $2,545-$2,535 (50-day Simple Moving Average, Fibonacci 38.2% retracement) could be seen as the next bearish target.

Inflation FAQs

Inflation measures the rise in the price of a representative basket of goods and services. Headline inflation is usually expressed as a percentage change on a month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) basis. Core inflation excludes more volatile elements such as food and fuel which can fluctuate because of geopolitical and seasonal factors. Core inflation is the figure economists focus on and is the level targeted by central banks, which are mandated to keep inflation at a manageable level, usually around 2%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the change in prices of a basket of goods and services over a period of time. It is usually expressed as a percentage change on a month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) basis. Core CPI is the figure targeted by central banks as it excludes volatile food and fuel inputs. When Core CPI rises above 2% it usually results in higher interest rates and vice versa when it falls below 2%. Since higher interest rates are positive for a currency, higher inflation usually results in a stronger currency. The opposite is true when inflation falls.

Although it may seem counter-intuitive, high inflation in a country pushes up the value of its currency and vice versa for lower inflation. This is because the central bank will normally raise interest rates to combat the higher inflation, which attract more global capital inflows from investors looking for a lucrative place to park their money.

Formerly, Gold was the asset investors turned to in times of high inflation because it preserved its value, and whilst investors will often still buy Gold for its safe-haven properties in times of extreme market turmoil, this is not the case most of the time. This is because when inflation is high, central banks will put up interest rates to combat it. Higher interest rates are negative for Gold because they increase the opportunity-cost of holding Gold vis-a-vis an interest-bearing asset or placing the money in a cash deposit account. On the flipside, lower inflation tends to be positive for Gold as it brings interest rates down, making the bright metal a more viable investment alternative.

Lipton’s Hard Iced Tea Isn’t The Best One You Can Buy

By |2024-10-13T06:56:16+03:00October 13, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

If you’re a tea drinker then chances are you’re familiar with the Lipton brand. This company has been around since the 1800s and is known for producing everything from tea bags to ready-to-brew powdered versions. But recently the company decided to go hardcore with its first-ever alcoholic iced tea. This lineup comes in five fun flavors — Lemon, Peach, Citrus Green Tea, Half & Half, and Strawberry. You can also try all five by picking them up in a variety pack.

However, after we tasted and ranked this brand of hard iced tea, purchasing them isn’t something that Daily Meal would recommend. While Lipton may be good at making non-alcoholic teas, the spiked version just isn’t the same. They don’t pack the same punch in terms of flavor as well as aroma, which means you might be better off sticking to a different brand if it’s something boozy you’re after.

Why Lipton’s Hard Iced Teas don’t cut it

The first major problem with the hard tea lineup from Lipton is that the types we tried are lacking in flavor. Unlike the company’s simple tea bags, the hard iced teas don’t have the same nuance to their taste. In fact, they don’t have much aroma, either. That means that you won’t pick up on subtle tasting notes like you might in a cup of basic (but perfect) iced tea.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t change when you switch up the flavors. In Lipton’s Hard Iced Tea Lemon variety, you’ll find the fruit isn’t as pronounced as you might like. Rather than getting strong sour notes on your tongue, you’ll just wind up with a vague citrus taste that alludes to lemon and leaves you wanting more. This same problem is prominent in the Citrus Green Tea version, although that option does have a bit more balance.

On top of that, some people report that they’re cloyingly sweet. This not only drowns out the taste of the tea itself but can also cover up the booze and drowns out the whole adult feel of the beverage.

What’s in Lipton’s Hard Iced Teas?

Lipton’s Hard Iced Tea might leave a lot to be desired in terms of taste, but they’re not lacking in alcohol. Each can contains 5% ABV, which is the same as other popular spiked tea brands such as Twisted Tea or Arnie’s Spiked Iced Tea. The alcohol comes from a triple-filtered malt base, which has a neutral taste. While this might have been intended to let the flavors of the tea shine through, unfortunately, it just adds to the lack of complexity of the drink.

Beyond the alcohol, they also contain 18 grams of sugar in each 12-ounce serving. That’s a fair amount of sugar and may lead to the sickly sweet taste that some users report. Despite these downsides, they are made with real brewed tea, so at least Lipton stays true to its original roots in some respect.

If you’re determined to try Lipton Hard Iced Teas anyway, the choice is up to you. Just know that its lack of flavor means you’re probably better off sticking to other boozy brands.

Why The Dogecoin Price Will Never Touch $100, But Shiba Inu Can Reach $0.001, And ETFSwap Will Jump 30000X To $4

By |2024-10-13T04:22:18+03:00October 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

In the crypto market, market sentiments have often dictated the price movement of any digital asset. Presently, the narrative surrounding Dogecoin has shattered dreams as analysts predict it will never touch the $100 mark. On the other hand, Shiba Inu’s potential to reach $0.001 is acknowledged, and ETFSwap (ETFS) is expected to bring the most value as ETFS is expected to jump 30,000x to $4 in weeks.

ETFSwap (ETFS): A Promising Platform With 30,000x Potential

ETFSwap (ETFS) is a highly liquid asset platform that offers tokenized exchange-traded funds to investors seeking to make more gains by spreading their assets across multiple industries through crypto. These ETFs range from real estate, agriculture, equity, fixed-income, commodities, and other ETF currencies.

Many factors that contribute to analysts being really bullish on ETFSwap (ETFS) and predicting a 30,000x jump to $4 can be attributed to its incentivizing and customizable trading features that allow investors to multiply profits even up to 5,000%. Interestingly, all ETFs on the ETFSwap (ETFS) platform carry a 10x marginal trading capital that instantly makes investors eligible for 1,000% returns. ETFSwap (ETFS) users also enjoy annual percentage yields (87%) as rewards for staking their tokens.

In order to increase the demand for ETFS tokens, ETFSwap (ETFS) will launch the first phase of its robustly developed beta platform that will give users the capabilities to participate in different liquidity pools, access real-time ETF prices, staking activities, etc. The second phase will integrate state-of-the art AI-powered tools like the ETF Screener, ETF Filter, and ETF Tracker, which will allow investors to mitigate risks by highlighting only the most profitable investment options based on previous trends and present market conditions.

ETFSwap (ETFS) has further strengthened investors’ confidence by completing its KYC verification process with SolidProof, a prominent cybersecurity and blockchain audit firm known for using manual and automated tests to check vulnerabilities in blockchain projects and protect them from hackers. In collaboration with MiCa-compliant institutions, ETFSwap (ETFS) reassures its users of security as they buy and sell exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Why Dogecoin Price Will Never Touch $100

While the Dogecoin (DOGE) has been volatile among the likes of Shiba Inu in the crypto space, analysts believe the $100 mark is a stretch for the Dogecoin price. With over 146 billion DOGE tokens in circulation, Dogecoin will need to surpass Bitcoin’s market cap before the Dogecoin price can reach the $100 mark.

However, another Dogecoin price prediction has put it on another bullish path, forecasting that the Dogecoin price is destined for a new ATH. Most crypto analysts believe that the Dogecoin price could finally cross the $1 mark. This is entirely based on the previous performance of the Dogecoin price, taking into account the average number of days it takes for each parabolic surge to materialize.

According to CoinGecko, Dogecoin (DOGE) has a market cap of $15.9 billion and daily trading volume of $636 million. As of the time of writing, the Dogecoin price is at $0.1089 each.

Shiba Inu (SHIB): Leading The Meme Coin Movement With Promising Growth Potential

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has earned recognition from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik for donating a portion of their token supply to charity. Based on comments made by Buterin, Shiba Inu community members have claimed that among meme coins, SHIB leads in charity gifts. According to an anonymous crypto expert, no other meme coin can even emulate Shiba Inu’s level of philanthropy.

According to CoinGecko, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has a market cap of $10 billion and a daily trading volume of $464 million. With predictions to reach $0.001 in the coming weeks, Shiba Inu is currently trading at a price of $0.0000176.

‘s Shibarium finally waking up in DeFi

The Shiba Inu project is actively working to expand its presence in the DeFi sector, particularly through its Layer-2 scaling solution Shibarium that was launched last year. Although progress has been relatively slow, recent data indicates promising developments within the Shibarium DeFi ecosystem. According to DefiLlama, the total value locked (TVL) in Shibarium has reached $4.37 million, following a recent all-time high of $4.81 million. This increase signifies a notable rise from the previous high of $3.9 million recorded earlier in March, highlighting a shift in retail dominance. The biggest decentralized application (dApp) remains ShibaSwap, which currently holds $2.22 million in TVL, while the newly introduced K9 Finance DAO ranks second, suggesting a renewed optimism for Shibarium’s potential as a key player in the DeFi landscape.

whale goes bearish with $424 million in BTC

Bitcoin has struggled to break through the $61,000 range, remaining below its all-time high of $73,780 from March, which is causing concern among some investors. According to a recent report by Spot On Chain, a large Bitcoin whale has been forced to sell portions of their holdings due to the BTC’s lackluster performance; this investor withdrew 8,510 BTC from Bitfinex in June and August this year but has now deposited 1,500 BTC back to the exchange. The estimated value of these coins sold is around $92.95 million, with the whale incurring a loss of approximately $30.54 million as the selling price is lower ($61,965) than their average purchase price ($64,434). With 7,010 BTC still in their wallets, valued at about $424.6 million, it is speculated that the whale may continue to sell ahead of a possible market downturn. This selling behavior may indicate panic selling, which could further impact Bitcoin’s price growth in the near future.
