The EURGBP keeps the positivity– Forecast today – 22-8-2025

By |2025-08-22T14:57:57+03:00August 22, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

The EURGBP was affected by some negative factors, forming bearish correctional decline to 0.8595, forming extra support to allow it recover some of the losses by its rally to 0.8660.

Note that the stability of the price within the bullish channel’s levels might extend its main support level to 0.8545, besides providing positive momentum by stochastic, these factors confirm the price readiness to renew its bullish attempts, to expect targeting 0.8695 level, to press on 0.8735 resistance.

The expected trading range for today is between 00.8630 and 0.8695

Trend forecast: Bullish

Forget Ozempic and Mounjaro! Many GLP-1 supplements claim to cause weight loss for a fraction of the price – now our medical expert reveals which ones REALLY work

By |2025-08-22T14:52:49+03:00August 22, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

With the price of weight-loss injection Mounjaro rising by 170 per cent next month – the highest dose going from £120 to £330 – many who have been relying on the jabs to shift excess pounds may have to look elsewhere.

Following the drug’s boom, many supplement companies have already been slapping ‘GLP-1’ labels on their herbal powders, capsules and patches in an attempt to cash in on customers who are unable or unwilling to take the jabs.

GLP-1 is the natural hormone released after eating that helps regulate appetite, and weight-loss jabs such as Mounjaro and Ozempic work by mimicking this hormone at far higher levels than the body could usually produce.

But can you experience anything like the same effect from a supplement? We asked pharmacist and medical nutritionist Aidan Goggins, the co-creator of non-weight-loss supplements Kyros Nutrition, to give us his expert opinion…

Following the boom in drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, many supplement companies have already been slapping ‘GLP-1’ labels on their herbal powders, capsules and patches

ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster

£70.99 for 30 servings (colonbroom.com)

Claim: ‘From cravings to control with GLP-1 power’, which can ‘reduce hunger, shed stubborn weight, boost metabolism, burn visceral fat’.

Key ingredient: Berberine, 5-HTP, saffron extract, chromium picolinate, bupleurum root extract.

Expert opinion: Berberine has been shown to support metabolic health but this formula provides just 140mg per serving, nowhere near the 500mg per serving or 1g per day typically used in studies into its metabolic effects.

Chromium picolinate may help maintain normal blood sugar if you are deficient, but it does not cause weight loss. Saffron extract has been shown in some trials to reduce snacking, but the effect is small. 5-HTP has limited evidence for appetite control and often works – when it does – by making people feel queasy.

Bupleurum has some data suggesting it can trigger GLP-1 release (though there has been no human testing into this), but its real-world use is for liver health, with no clinical proof for weight loss.

Lemme GLP-1 Daily

£109.95 for one month’s supply (glamglobal.co.uk)

Claim: Lemme is a vitamin and supplement line founded by Kourtney Kardashian. This supplement claims it contains ‘clinically studied ingredients that support your body’s GLP-1 production, reduce hunger and support healthy weight management, along with healthy diet and exercise.’

Key ingredient: Eriomin lemon bioflavanoid complex.

Expert opinion: Eriomin does have clinical evidence to show it raises GLP-1 blood levels by 22 per cent over 12 weeks in people with high blood-sugar levels, but it produced no reduction in body weight. To me this product is a perfect example of how boosting natural GLP-1 is almost meaningless for weight loss.

Score: 1.5/5

Steiger Pro GLP-1 Plus

£49 for one month’s supply (uk.steiger-naturals.com)

Claim: ‘A dietary supplement designed to support your metabolism and help control weight.’

Key ingredients: Reducin (mulberry leaf extract), akkermansia (probiotic), grains of paradise, black ginger extract.

Expert opinion: Mulberry leaf can blunt carbohydrate absorption and flatten glucose spikes but the important ingredient is akkermansia. This is a next-generation probiotic that has shown promise in strengthening the gut barrier, alleviating insulin resistance and improving cholesterol in human trials. But it does not work through GLP-1 pathways and its impact on weight has been small.

Grains of paradise and black ginger also have some early human evidence of reducing visceral fat or preventing its gain, though effects are modest. This is an ambitious kitchen-sink approach to metabolic health, designed more to help you get the most out of diet and exercise than to trigger weight loss on its own.

Myota Metabolic Booster

£112.50 quarterly subscription (myotahealth.com)

Claim: That the short-chain fatty acids produced by eating fibre ‘help boost GLP-1 levels, and are a natural solution to help regulate appetite and keep you feeling full for longer’.

Key ingredients: 9.8g dietary fibre from a variety of sources.

Expert opinion: A convenient way to get a clinically meaningful dose of fibre in one hit. This mix of fermentable, prebiotic fibres is designed to be broken down by gut bacteria into short-chain fatty acids, which can stimulate natural GLP-1 release. This gives the product real merit for gut health and wider metabolic benefits.

The effect is subtle and natural, more like adding in an extra few servings of vegetables to your diet than taking a drug. It will be good for the microbiome and long-term health, but don’t expect it to melt off pounds.

Score: 3/5

Aura GLP-1 Patches

£24.99 for one month’s supply (aura-esthetic.com)

Claim: ‘Skip the pills and painful injections. The Aura GLP-1 patch delivers real results… uses advanced TransDerema technology to deliver powerful plant-based ingredients directly through the skin… and activate your body’s natural fat-burning process.’

Key ingredients: Berberine, pomegranate, cinnamon, L-glutamine.

Expert opinion: Even if this patch did contain miracle ingredients, which it doesn’t, they would have to be very small and fat-soluble to slip through the skin barrier. The plant extracts used here are far too large to be absorbed this way.

There’s no evidence these patches get the ingredients where they need to be, so there’s no reason to expect an effect.

Score: 0/5

Even if this patch did contain miracle ingredients, which it doesn¿t, they would have to be very small and fat-soluble to slip through the skin barrier

Even if this patch did contain miracle ingredients, which it doesn’t, they would have to be very small and fat-soluble to slip through the skin barrier

Sensilab GLP-1 Active

£29.99 for 60 capsules (sensilab.com)

Claim: ‘Boosts satiety hormone GLP-1 by 65 per cent’ and a ‘natural alternative to weight-loss injections’.

Key ingredients: Berberine, white mulberry extract (Reducose).

Expert opinion: This contains 500mg of berberine, which is the standard dose used in research into its effects on metabolism, though in studies 500mg would usually be taken twice daily.

Mulberry leaf contains DNJ, which is a natural compound that blocks carbohydrate-digesting enzymes. In practice this means sugars are broken down more slowly so food stays in the gut longer and post-meal blood glucose rises less sharply. Clinical studies show Reducose at this dose can cut peak blood sugar spikes by around 30 per cent.

So in combination with berberine it may have merit for metabolic health, but the mechanism is not through GLP-1 pathways.

Score: 2/5

PEAKA GLP-1 Ultra-Concentrated Liquid Pearls

£6.99 for 30 capsules (amazon.co.uk)

Claim: ‘No diet or exercise required… suppress appetite… burns visceral fat. Lose weight from the inside out.’

Key ingredients: Apple cider vinegar, moringa, NA+ (a sodium ion).

Expert opinion: A study published in the British Medical Journal last year showed 10-15ml of apple cider vinegar (ACV) daily could cause around 7kg weight loss in 12 weeks. It is thought the acetic acid in ACV may influence our metabolism like a ‘lite’ version of GLP-1 drugs, but the capsules don’t contain anywhere near the amount used in the study. Moringa and NA+ have zero impact on weight loss.

Score: 1/5

Feel Pro Metabolic

£64.94 for one month’s supply (wearefeel.com)

Claim: ‘A next-generation formula designed to stimulate your body’s own GLP-1 secretion – helping you manage appetite, curb cravings, and support metabolic health… re-calibrating your body gradually to a less hungry, less snacking you in 90 days.’

Ingredients: Kombucha black tea leaf powder, soy peptide, Bifidobacterium Breve

Expert opinion: Separately the fibre and plant polyphenols, plus a probiotic and soy protein peptides, all have some evidence for influencing gut hormones and appetite regulation. They have been selected to encourage natural GLP-1 release in the gut and support satiety at meals. You may see some health benefit but don’t expect any drug-like weight loss outcome.

Solana price prediction: SOL’s speed meets Layer Brett meme appeal in the altcoin arena

By |2025-08-22T14:50:21+03:00August 22, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

As market minds dissect every new Solana price prediction, capital is quietly reallocating. While Solana (SOL) still touts high throughput, regulatory inertia, DeFi stagnation, and security hiccups have dulled its shine.

In contrast, Layer Brett ($LBRETT) launched at a strategic $0.0042 presale entry and is stealing the spotlight with its blend of Ethereum Layer 2 infrastructure, viral meme energy and compelling yield mechanics. Here’s why analysts believe Layer Brett will thoroughly outperform Solana in 2025.

Why Solana’s edge is eroding

Solana used to be the “fast chain,” but that hype is wearing thin. Regulatory roadblocks like the stalled ETF rollout are choking off serious institutional money, and recent upgrades can’t mask the deeper cracks in the foundation—it’s a lot like window-dressing. Security slip-ups, including a zero-knowledge proof exploit that could’ve minted fake tokens, were quietly patched without much transparency, which could never be a good look for governance. Throw in its long history of chain-freezing outages, a stubborn 20%+ transaction failure rate, and a leadership culture that feels a bit too opaque, and trust starts to evaporate. For capital looking for scalable, dependable upside, SOL is starting to feel like exit liquidity rather than the next rocket.

Why the Layer Brett crypto presale is the smart money play

Layer Brett is drumming up serious traction with its unique combination of viral meme appeal and its Ethereum Layer 2 utility. Built to scale on the world’s leading smart contract platform, Layer Brett offers up to a massive 20,000% staking APY for early adopters, ultra-low platform fees, Web3 focused engagement via gamification, NFTs, and decentralized governance, and $LBRETT supply capped at a fixed 10B token supply, with no stealth supply dilution to boot.

Coupled with its low-cap blue chip presale status, and it’s easy to see why Layer Brett is expected to run circles around even the most bullish Solana price prediction estimates for 2025 and beyond.

News about - Solana price prediction: SOL's speed meets Layer Brett meme appeal in the altcoin arena

Head to head: Solana vs. Layer Brett

Mature assets like Solana now behave like late-cycle value plays; steady but capped. $LBRETT, meanwhile, offers the high-conviction upside typical of growth equities in emerging verticals, much like Solana once did when it first came out.

At this point in time, what sets Layer Brett apart is cultural jiu-jitsu—melding meme narrative with infrastructure effectiveness. Unlike Solana’s stagnating projects, $LBRETT pairs virality with yield mechanics, staking frameworks, and tech fundamentals that can withstand cycles, not just pump phases.

Solana unlikely to match Layer Brett in terms of 2025 growth trajectory

Forget the overly optimistic Solana price predictions. Even if SOL goes on an Ethereum-style rally, its upside is capped by its bloated market cap, regulatory drag, and lingering trust issues.

The real parabolic play is $LBRETT. Still available at just $0.0042, early adopters aren’t chasing scraps and hoping against hope for a parabolic run—they’re at pole position for gains. Layer Brett could be the low-cap rocket SOL holders wish they’d caught before liftoff.

This is your invite to the launchpad. The presale is active. Staking mechanics are live. Retail and degen conviction is gaining traction. Are you going to be on the ground floor or are you going to be sidelined again for the moonshot?

Ultimately, Layer Brett isn’t just another meme story. It’s Ethereum core infrastructure capital wrapped in meme culture, engineering narrative velocity that legacy Layer 1s can no longer command.

Don’t miss the chance to get in early on a project where meme meets mechanism and where the next 100x meme coin could be born.

Pound Sterling could extend downtrend on a hawkish Powell tone

By |2025-08-22T12:56:27+03:00August 22, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • GBP/USD trades near 1.3400 in the European session on Friday.
  • The US Dollar rallied on strong PMI data on Thursday.
  • Fed Chair Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole could ramp up the pair’s volatility.

GBP/USD stabilizes slightly above 1.3400 in the European session on Friday after posting losses for four consecutive days and losing about 1% since the beginning of the week. Investors refrain from taking large positions ahead of Federal Reserve (Fed) Chair Jerome Powell’s speech at the annual Jackson Hole Symposium.

Pound Sterling Price This week

The table below shows the percentage change of British Pound (GBP) against listed major currencies this week. British Pound was the weakest against the US Dollar.

USD EUR GBP JPY CAD AUD NZD CHF
USD 0.98% 1.03% 0.98% 0.69% 1.31% 1.98% 0.46%
EUR -0.98% 0.05% -0.02% -0.29% 0.34% 0.96% -0.51%
GBP -1.03% -0.05% -0.14% -0.33% 0.29% 0.91% -0.60%
JPY -0.98% 0.02% 0.14% -0.28% 0.34% 1.00% -0.52%
CAD -0.69% 0.29% 0.33% 0.28% 0.60% 1.28% -0.26%
AUD -1.31% -0.34% -0.29% -0.34% -0.60% 0.61% -0.90%
NZD -1.98% -0.96% -0.91% -1.00% -1.28% -0.61% -1.52%
CHF -0.46% 0.51% 0.60% 0.52% 0.26% 0.90% 1.52%

The heat map shows percentage changes of major currencies against each other. The base currency is picked from the left column, while the quote currency is picked from the top row. For example, if you pick the British Pound from the left column and move along the horizontal line to the US Dollar, the percentage change displayed in the box will represent GBP (base)/USD (quote).

The US Dollar (USD) benefited from the upbeat Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data from the US and caused GBP/USD to push lower on Thursday. S&P Global Manufacturing PMI improved to 53.3 in August’s preliminary estimate from 49.8 in July and the Services PMI came in at 55.4, beating the market expectation of 54.2. Reflecting the broad-based USD strength, the USD Index climbed to its highest level in over two weeks near 99.00 early Friday.

In assessment of the findings of the survey, Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence, explained that the increase seen in selling prices for goods and services suggests that consumer price inflation will rise further in the coming months.

“Combined with the upturn in business activity and hiring, the rise in prices signaled by the survey puts the PMI data more into rate hiking, rather than cutting, territory according to the historical relationship between these economic indicators and FOMC policy changes,” Williamson added.

The odds of a 25 basis-points (bps) Fed rate cut at the next meeting declined to 73% from about 84% before the release of the PMI data, as per CME FedWatch Tool.

Fed Chair Powell’s speech, entitled “Economic Outlook and Framework Review,” will be scrutinized by market participants in the American session on Friday.

In case Powell repeats that they need more time to analyze the impact of tariffs on inflation before entering a policy-easing cycle, the USD could preserve its strength and force GBP/USD to stay on the back foot heading into the weekend.

Conversely, the USD could come under selling pressure if Powell hints at a September rate cut by acknowledging worsening conditions in the labor market. In this scenario, GBP/USD could erase some of its weekly losses in the second half of the day.

GBP/USD Technical Analysis

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator on the 4-hour chart edges higher but remains below 40, suggesting that GBP/USD’s bearish bias remains intact despite the latest recovery attempt.

On the upside, the 100-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) and the 200-period SMA form a strong resistance area at 1.3425-1.3440 before 1.3460 (Fibonacci 50% retracement of the latest downtrend) and 1.3500 (static level, round level, 50-period SMA).

Looking south, support levels could be seen at 1.3400-1.3390 (static level, Fibonacci 38.2% retracement), 1.3330 (static level) and 1.3300 (Fibonacci 23.6% retracement).

Fed FAQs

Monetary policy in the US is shaped by the Federal Reserve (Fed). The Fed has two mandates: to achieve price stability and foster full employment. Its primary tool to achieve these goals is by adjusting interest rates.
When prices are rising too quickly and inflation is above the Fed’s 2% target, it raises interest rates, increasing borrowing costs throughout the economy. This results in a stronger US Dollar (USD) as it makes the US a more attractive place for international investors to park their money.
When inflation falls below 2% or the Unemployment Rate is too high, the Fed may lower interest rates to encourage borrowing, which weighs on the Greenback.

The Federal Reserve (Fed) holds eight policy meetings a year, where the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) assesses economic conditions and makes monetary policy decisions.
The FOMC is attended by twelve Fed officials – the seven members of the Board of Governors, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and four of the remaining eleven regional Reserve Bank presidents, who serve one-year terms on a rotating basis.

In extreme situations, the Federal Reserve may resort to a policy named Quantitative Easing (QE). QE is the process by which the Fed substantially increases the flow of credit in a stuck financial system.
It is a non-standard policy measure used during crises or when inflation is extremely low. It was the Fed’s weapon of choice during the Great Financial Crisis in 2008. It involves the Fed printing more Dollars and using them to buy high grade bonds from financial institutions. QE usually weakens the US Dollar.

Quantitative tightening (QT) is the reverse process of QE, whereby the Federal Reserve stops buying bonds from financial institutions and does not reinvest the principal from the bonds it holds maturing, to purchase new bonds. It is usually positive for the value of the US Dollar.

The Key to Anti-Aging and

By |2025-08-22T12:52:00+03:00August 22, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Dublin, Aug. 22, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The “Amino Acids Market Size, Share & Trends Analysis Report By Product, By Source (Plant-based, Animal Based, Chemical Synthesis, Fermentation), By Grade, By End Use, By Region, And Segment Forecasts, 2025 – 2033” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

The global amino acids market size was estimated at USD 29.44 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 58.00 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 7.8% from 2025 to 2033. This is attributable to increased consumer spending capacity and growing awareness among individuals regarding healthy lifestyles and preventive care.

Amino acids are used in health supplements to reduce muscle pain, fatigue, and lower the risk associated with cardiovascular diseases. They are also gaining popularity in nutritional sports supplements. Many athletes prefer consuming Product-based supplements in the form of tablets, powders, and drinks for muscle growth.

Nutraceutical Products are segmented into functional beverages, functional food, and dietary supplements. In the animal feed industry, the market is used as a bioactive supplement, as they offer several health benefits to animals. They are also used as critical ingredients in pet food Products and veterinary supplements to enhance food digestibility and thereby strengthen the immune system. Feed-grade products are in demand as their consumption improves the activities & health of animals and offers better joint mobility.

The animal feed industry is expected to witness a high demand for feed-grade products owing to an aging pet population, unique dietary requirements, and specialized diets. The growing adoption of pets in agriculture across several countries is expected to drive the demand for pet food, in turn, driving the demand for the market in the pet food industry.

The rising global demand for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical Products. With increasing consumer awareness of preventive healthcare and healthier lifestyles, amino acids are being widely incorporated into dietary supplements and functional foods. They are recognized for benefits such as reducing muscle fatigue, supporting cardiovascular health, and promoting muscle growth-particularly among athletes through supplements in tablet, powder, or beverage form. The expanding nutraceuticals sector, driven by higher spending on organic and wellness-focused Products, is expected to significantly boost amino acid consumption across functional beverages, fortified foods, and dietary supplements.

Amino acids are increasingly utilized in Dietary Supplements and cosmetic Products due to their multifunctional benefits for skin health and appearance. Naturally present in the skin, they work with aquaporins, the body’s water transport channels, to distribute moisture effectively, supporting deep hydration and skin resilience. Some amino acids act as antioxidants or aid in the skin’s antioxidant Production, offering protection against free-radical damage and reducing signs of aging. Their humectant properties also make them excellent moisture retainers, helping to keep the skin soft and supple. Key amino acids such as arginine and histidine enhance hydration, while proline, glycine, and lysine boost collagen Production, improving skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, driving their growing use in anti-aging and hydrating skincare formulations.

Raw materials used for amino acids Production, including soybean oilseeds, wheat, and corn, have been witnessing price volatility over the past few years. This trend is expected to continue over the forecast period owing to increasing consumption of raw materials for other food Production, resulting in limited supply for market Production. Short-term factors such as increasing energy prices are among the other hurdles leading to a shortage of raw materials for product production. In developing economies, manufacturers are often forced to create products from low-quality alternative ingredients such as cassava or sorghum. Such alternative ingredients are less digestible compared to corn and soybeans.

XRP Price Prediction: Bullish Signals Emerge as Markets Awaits Jackson Hole Speech

By |2025-08-22T12:48:56+03:00August 22, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

TLDR

  • XRP’s TD Sequential indicator has flipped to “buy” at $2.86, suggesting selling pressure may be ending
  • The token is currently trading at $2.88, testing critical support near the .618 Fibonacci retracement level
  • Technical analysis shows bearish momentum with RSI at 42 and price below the 9-day DEMA
  • Elliott Wave analysis points to potential bullish reversal if current support holds
  • Key resistance levels identified at $2.93, $3.08, and $3.41 for any upward movement

XRP is trading at $2.88 after finding support near the $2.86 level where a key technical indicator has shifted. The TD Sequential indicator, which previously called XRP’s recent peak, has now generated a buy signal.

This development comes as XRP tests important technical levels. The token has been bouncing between $2.82 and $2.88 throughout recent trading sessions.

The current price action shows XRP pressing against the lower Bollinger Band around $2.78. This area has provided support during the recent decline.

XRP Price

Technical indicators present a mixed picture for XRP. The RSI sits at 42, indicating bearish sentiment. The MACD histogram shows deeper negative readings.

XRP is trading below its 9-day DEMA, which has shifted to act as resistance. The 20-day SMA at $3.08 represents the mean-reversion target if buyers return.

Support and Resistance Levels

The $2.88 level aligns with a .618 Fibonacci retracement according to Elliott Wave analysis. This technical confluence makes the area particularly important for determining XRP’s next direction.

If the current support fails, the next areas to watch are between $2.72 and $2.70. A deeper correction could extend to $2.62.

On the upside, XRP faces immediate resistance at $2.93. This level previously served as support but has now flipped to resistance.

The $3.08 level represents the next major hurdle. This coincides with the 20-day moving average where supply is expected.

Beyond that, resistance appears at $3.20-$3.22. The upper Bollinger Band at $3.38 serves as a longer-term target.

XRP Price Prediction

Market analyst CasiTrades has identified the current support area as a textbook subwave 2 target in an Elliott Wave pattern. This analysis suggests XRP could be setting up for subwave 3, typically the strongest part of an impulse move.

The Elliott Wave view projects resistance at $3.41 as the next target. The analysis also highlights $3.21 as a critical marker for momentum continuation.

A break above $3.21 could lead to a backtest before resumption of the upward move. This scenario would favor a rally beyond the current trading range.

The pattern suggests potential for new highs if the current support structure holds. However, this depends on XRP maintaining its position above the $2.88 support zone.

Current price action shows XRP “walking the band” along the lower Bollinger Band. This type of movement typically indicates trend continuation rather than sharp reversals.

For bulls to take control, XRP needs a daily close above $2.93. This would reduce bearish pressure and shift sentiment toward neutral or bullish territory.

The token’s ability to hold above $2.88 will determine whether the TD Sequential buy signal proves accurate. A break below this level would invalidate the bullish technical setup.

XRP continues to test the $2.88 support level as traders watch for confirmation of the potential reversal signal.

MetaMask’s mUSD Aims to Bridge DeFi and Everyday Finance

By |2025-08-22T11:08:45+03:00August 22, 2025|News, NFT News|0 Comments

MetaMask, the world’s leading self-custodial crypto wallet, has announced the launch of its own stablecoin, MetaMask USD ($mUSD), marking the first instance of a self-custodial wallet issuing a native stablecoin. The stablecoin, backed 1:1 by dollar-equivalent assets and issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, is designed to streamline crypto transactions and facilitate broader adoption of decentralized finance (DeFi) and real-world payments. M0, a decentralized stablecoin infrastructure provider, powers the technical backbone of $mUSD, ensuring interoperability and composability across chains.

The launch of $mUSD aligns with increasing regulatory clarity in the U.S. following the passage of the GENIUS Act, which establishes federal standards for stablecoin issuers. This act, signed into law by President Donald Trump, requires stablecoins to be fully backed by high-quality reserves and introduces transparency measures for the industry. The new stablecoin is expected to launch on the Ethereum and Linea blockchains later in 2025, with Linea—a layer-2 network developed by MetaMask’s parent company, Consensys—playing a pivotal role in its integration within the DeFi ecosystem.

MetaMask’s product lead, Gal Eldar, emphasized that the stablecoin is a key step toward mass adoption of Web3, reducing friction and costs for users entering the self-custodial space. By integrating $mUSD into the MetaMask wallet, users will be able to perform on-ramps, swaps, and bridging across multiple blockchains, while also accessing real-world spending via the MetaMask Card—a Mastercard-powered debit card expected to support $mUSD transactions at millions of merchants globally by the end of the year. This dual functionality aims to blend the utility of DeFi with everyday usability, enabling users to hold, trade, and spend digital dollars in a seamless experience.

The issuance of $mUSD is part of a growing trend of custom stablecoin development, with platforms leveraging third-party infrastructure to manage compliance, reserves, and technical complexity. Bridge, now part of Stripe, has significantly reduced the time and effort required to launch a stablecoin, moving the process from over a year of integrations to a matter of weeks. This enables platforms like MetaMask to focus on user experience while ensuring regulatory compliance and asset-backed stability. M0’s co-founder and CEO, Luca Prosperi, highlighted that this partnership allows builders to customize their digital dollar stack, optimize for liquidity, and maintain full control over issuance options without the need for in-house infrastructure.

MetaMask’s Vice President of Product Strategy, Ajay Mittal, stated that the deep integration of $mUSD across the MetaMask ecosystem offers distinct advantages over other stablecoins, including lower costs, greater composability, and smoother transaction flows. The company aims for $mUSD to serve as a core liquidity layer not only within its own services but also across the broader DeFi landscape. By enabling users to deploy $mUSD into DeFi protocols, lending markets, and decentralized exchanges, MetaMask hopes to drive increased total value locked (TVL) and protocol activity across its supported networks.

The strategic move into stablecoin issuance also reflects Stripe’s expanding role in the crypto ecosystem. The payment giant, through its Bridge platform, has supported the issuance of digital dollars for other major players, including PayPal and World Liberty Financial. With the growing adoption of digital currencies and the regulatory green light provided by the U.S. government, MetaMask’s $mUSD is positioned to become a key player in the evolving stablecoin market. As the second half of 2025 approaches, the launch of $mUSD could represent a turning point in how users interact with crypto, bridging the gap between decentralized finance and everyday financial activities.

Bulls Challenge Key Barrier (Video)

By |2025-08-22T10:55:53+03:00August 22, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • The British Pound has rallied nicely against the Japanese Yen during the trading session as the 50-day EMA looks like it is offering a bit of support.
  • That being said, keep in mind this is a pair that’s highly sensitive to risk appetite and therefore I think you have to watch what other markets are doing.
  • The most obvious level on this chart is going to be the 200 yen level, an area that has been like a brick wall, if we can break above there finally, and continue to go higher, it could lead to a massive shot to the upside.

If we were to break down below the 50 day EMA that could send the British pound down to the 196 yen level, possibly even as low as the 200 day EMA which is underneath there. So that being said, I think you’ve got a situation where we are at an inflection point. But we are also in a bullish trend that is now pressuring a major barrier.

On a Break Above 200

If we can get beyond that barrier, you will probably see the Japanese yen get eviscerated by almost everything else around the world as well. It probably won’t be just a British pound thing. That being said, Friday has the speech by Jerome Powell and that of course will make a certain amount of sense that it could cause some noise.

And with this, I think you have to understand that traders are looking for some type of clarity on what the Federal Reserve will do and therefore what risk appetite might be due to monetary policy.

Ultimately, this is a market that I think will be very volatile, but that’s typically the case here with this pair anyways. I still favor the upside, but we obviously have a huge mountain to climb just above at this big figure.

Famine plays out in Gaza as children denied nourishing food supplements

Aid agencies report rapid increase in child malnutrition cases in Gaza

Gaza hospitals struggle with limited nutritious pastes and therapeutic milk supplies for malnourished children

Deaths from malnutrition spike

By Dawoud Abu Alkas, Olivia Le Poidevin and Nidal al-Mughrabi

GAZA CITY/GENEVA/CAIRO, Aug 22 (Reuters) – The hunger crisis in Gaza is at a tipping point, with critically low supplies of fortified milk and special nutritious pastes exacerbating food shortages and pushing greater numbers of children into starvation, according to aid agencies, malnutrition experts and the United Nations. A report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), the main global hunger monitor working with the U.N. and other aid agencies, is due on Friday. An interim statement it released in late July said famine was “playing out” in Gaza. Reuters has previously reported the IPC’s struggle to get access to data required to assess the crisis.

After a global outcry at Israel severely restricting aid from March, its military began allowing more food into Gaza in late July.

But volumes are too small and distribution too chaotic to stop more people becoming malnourished, while those who are already starving or vulnerable are not getting life-saving supplements, three hunger experts and aid workers from six agencies told Reuters.

According to figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry, verified by the World Health Organisation, deaths from malnutrition and starvation are spiking.

In the 22 months following the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas, 89 fatalities were attributed to malnutrition or starvation, mostly children under 18. In just the first 20 days of August, there were 133 deaths, including 25 under 18s, the ministry said on Wednesday.

“We are seeing the worst possible humanitarian catastrophe that we can even measure,” said Jeanette Bailey, a child nutrition lead at the International Rescue Committee, a New York-based aid organisation.

There are “going to be a lot more children dying, a lot more pregnant and lactating women suffering from malnutrition.”

Israel does not accept there is widespread malnutrition among Palestinians in Gaza and disputes the hunger fatality figures given by the health ministry of Gaza’s Hamas-run government, arguing that the deaths were due to other medical causes.

Reuters could not independently confirm the figures in this story, including those relating to malnutrition or famine-related mortality and supplies of different food products. Some of the most malnourished children are in the few hospitals still operating in Gaza, where doctors are scrambling for supplies of special therapeutic milks.

At Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City, doctor Ahmed Basal held up an infant, arms stick thin and wizened from wasting. He said normal formula, even when available, cost up to $58 per carton, while mothers were themselves too malnourished to breastfeed.

Gaunt-looking Aisha Wahdan gave her eight-month-old son Hatem fortified milk from a bottle, saying that before coming to hospital she tried to wean him on wild plants such as carob, chamomile and thyme because she could not breastfeed.

“There was no milk. I used natural herbs and tried everything because there was no milk substitute,” she said.

Some ordinary baby formula, needed for those whose mothers are dead or unable to breastfeed, or when the child is unwell, has entered Gaza since the aid blockade was loosened, UNICEF said on Tuesday. However, the agency said it only has stocks for 2,500 babies for a month and estimates that at least 10,000 babies need formula.

“Without consistent entry and distribution of items like specialised supplementary feeding items – high energy biscuits and fortified foods – we are watching a preventable crisis turn into a widespread nutrition emergency,” said Antoine Renard, Palestine country director of the World Food Programme.

“At first it affects the most vulnerable groups but of course that will broaden,” he said.

COGAT, the Israeli military agency responsible for aid, said in an August 12 media statement that most deaths attributed to malnutrition by Palestinian health authorities were caused by other medical conditions.

Malnutrition experts say deaths among people with existing health problems are typical in the early stages of a hunger crisis.

Israel has recognised shortages of food, but blames the United Nations for failing to effectively distribute supplies and Hamas for stealing it, which the groups denies. An official Israeli review found “no signs of a widespread malnutrition phenomenon among the population in Gaza”, COGAT said.

In response to a request for comment about Israel’s response to the shortage of supplements, COGAT said Israel’s military was acting to “allow and facilitate the continued entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in accordance with international law.”

Ismail Al-Thawabta, the director of the Hamas-run Gaza media office said the government believed famine conditions were “more grave” than reported. “Hamas is keen more than anyone else for aid to flow into Gaza and to reach our people,” he said. The United Nations human rights office in June accused Israel of “weaponising” food for civilians, calling it a war crime, after documenting hundreds of people killed by the Israeli military as they tried to reach aid distribution sites by run Israel- and U.S.-backed organisation the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

The Israeli military has acknowledged that its forces have killed some Palestinians seeking aid and says it has given its troops new orders to improve their response.

Kholoud al-Aqra is three months old and weighs only two kilograms, her mother Heba al-Aqra said, far below the nearly six-kilograms average for girls of that age listed by the World Health Organisation.

Aqra is still breastfeeding, but with very little food herself she is not producing enough milk and there is none to buy, she said. Aqra said she sometimes goes one or two days with nothing to eat but a single bowl of soup.

“I am exhausted myself. I feel dizzy when I breastfeed her because there is no good food for me also,” Aqra said by phone from their shelter in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Reuters could not independently confirm the details of Aqra’s account. It is consistent with reports by aid agencies and the United Nations of the hunger crisis and how it affects breastfeeding mothers and their infants.

A typical treatment for an acutely malnourished nursing child like Kholoud would involve several weeks of feeding with therapeutic milk, as well as an abundance of food for her breastfeeding mother, including supplements, three nutrition experts said.

Despite the increase in aid and commercial food supplies entering Gaza, there is still very little available in the market or in the charitable community kitchen where the family seeks food daily, Aqra said.

They have also not managed to find supplements for either the baby, her mother, or the family’s two older children.

When malnourished people do not get supplements that they can take at home alongside an adequate amount of normal nutritious food, their condition starts to deteriorate, said Mariana Adrianopoli, a nutrition lead for the WHO.

“Those children are vulnerable. Their immune system is compromised. They are susceptible to infections that can increase rapidly,” she said.

“The deterioration of health conditions in a malnourished population can be very fast,” she said.

In an environment like that of Gaza today, where most people live in tents or shelters with very little clean water, and with much of the sewage system destroyed, illness is rife and people with weakened immunity are at even greater risk, all the aid agencies said.

All six agencies pointed to alarming indicators showing a rapid deterioration last month that they say would require greatly increased food imports to reverse alongside weeks of sustained extra supplements such as peanut butter paste and enriched milk formula for those most at risk. The number of children under five recorded as suffering wasting from food shortages nearly doubled from June to over 12,000, the WHO said, while more than 2,500 had the most severe form of extreme weight loss that can lead to death from starvation.

Those figures only represent children who showed up at clinics or hospitals, so the true number is likely much higher, all the agencies and hunger experts Reuters spoke to said.

At the same time, of 290,000 children under five who need supplements to prevent them sliding into severe malnourishment, only 3% were reached in July, a report by U.N. aid agency OCHA said, a major drop from an average of 26% between April and June. In response to questions from Reuters, OCHA attributed the drop to limits on the quantities allowed in, active conflict and desperation that results in looting.

UNICEF said its stocks of the small packs of the nutritious pastes have either run out or nearly run out, with only enough for 5,000 children for the next month, the agency told Reuters on Tuesday. Last month, Reuters reported Gaza would also run out of another specialised therapeutic food needed to save children already suffering the severe malnutrition that causes wasting by mid-August if nothing changed.

UNICEF has since been able to bring in some of those supplements, known as RUTF, but only enough for just below 5,800 children for one month. UNICEF calculates a current caseload of 70,000 children requiring RUTF.

Agriculture and fishing, traditionally the main sources of food inside Gaza, have been decimated by the war and the enclave’s more than 2 million people rely almost entirely on imports.

Israel ended a ceasefire in March and imposed a near total blockade on aid entering Gaza until late May, when the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began distributing food boxes at four places in the enclave.

GHF, in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian aid organization, began bringing in supplementary pastes last week, according to GHF’s daily reports, totalling more than 150,000 packs so far, enough for around 5,000 children for a month.

GHF and Samaritan’s Purse did not immediately respond to requests for comment for this story.

Israel began facilitating more aid deliveries through the main checkpoint into Gaza from late July but about 90% of food trucked into Gaza is taken before reaching a distribution point, either by hungry crowds or by armed gangs, a recent report by the U.N. aid agency OCHA said, meaning it may not reach the most vulnerable.

Commercial supplies have also started entering Gaza – a step seen as crucial to increasing overall food amounts and preventing a sharper slip towards widespread malnutrition by providing fresh produce and richer foods like eggs, dairy and meat. But few people can afford to buy.

“The overall volume of nutrition supplies remains completely insufficient to prevent further deterioration. The market needs to be flooded. There needs to be dietary diversity,” said Rik Peeperkorn, World Health Organisation representative for Palestine.
