Thus, coffee prices in the Central Highlands are showing a slight recovery after a period of volatility in early October. However, the increase is only 200-300 VND/kg, which has not yet created a significant change in the overall purchasing price.
The price difference between regions continues to be a noteworthy point. Within Lam Dong province, the former Dak Nong area is currently at 93,200 VND/kg, while the former Lam Dong area is at 92,500 VND/kg. This difference may be related to product quality, procurement location, transportation costs, and the specific needs of each business.
The highest price for roasted and ground coffee is nearly 290,000 VND/kg.
Besides green coffee beans in bulk, the roasted and ground coffee market has a higher price level due to processing costs, weight loss after roasting, sorting, and packaging.

World coffee prices today, October 13, 2026: Robusta and Arabica both increased.
On the international market, world coffee prices recorded a recovery session for both main product lines. Robusta on the London exchange increased across all surveyed maturities, while Arabica on the New York exchange saw a stronger percentage increase.
London Robusta coffee prices rose to $3,478 per ton.
According to the price list updated on October 13th, the Robusta contract for November 2026 delivery reached $3,478 per ton, an increase of $8 per ton, equivalent to 0.23%, compared to the previous session.
The January 2027 contract rose $9/tonne to $3,463/tonne. The March 2027 contract reached $3,437/tonne, up $15/tonne.
Notably, longer-term contracts also saw price increases. The July 2027 contract rose by $26/tonne, the strongest absolute increase among the five contracts surveyed.
| Term | Price (USD/ton) | Change |
|---|---|---|
| November 2026 | 3,478 | +8 |
| 01/2027 | 3,463 | +9 |
| 03/2027 | 3,437 | +15 |
| 05/2027 | 3,422 | +20 |
| 07/2027 | 3,409 | +26 |
The simultaneous increase across all maturities indicates improved buying pressure in the most recent session. However, near-term contract prices remain higher than far-term contracts, reflecting differences in supply and demand and price expectations at each delivery time.
New York Arabica coffee prices surpass 290 US cents/pound.
On the New York exchange, Arabica saw a more significant increase than Robusta. The December 2026 contract rose 3.65 US cents/pound, or 1.27%, to 290.60 US cents/pound.
The March 2027 contract rose 3.70 US cents/pound to 283.50 US cents/pound. Contracts for May, July, and September 2027 also increased by 3.40–3.50 US cents/pound.
| Term | Price (US cents/pound) | Change |
|---|---|---|
| December 2026 | 290.60 | +3.65 |
| 03/2027 | 283.50 | +3.70 |
| 05/2027 | 280.00 | +3.45 |
| 07/2027 | 277.55 | +3.40 |
| 09/2027 | 275.35 | +3.50 |
Arabica prices rose by over 1% across all contract periods, outpacing Robusta’s increase in the same update. This development reflects market interest in the outlook for Arabica supply from major producing countries.
According to market data, Colombian coffee production for the 2025–2026 crop year is projected to decrease by approximately 15% compared to the previous year, to 12.65 million bags. Exports are also expected to fall by 12%, to 11.78 million bags.
Conversely, Brazil continues to be a factor that could limit the recovery. The country’s green coffee bean exports in September increased by 3.2% year-on-year, to approximately 3.58 million bags.
Supplies from Brazil help alleviate shortages in the international market, but also make it difficult for coffee prices to maintain their strong upward trend unless demand improves correspondingly.
Weather conditions are also being closely monitored. Concerns about the development of El Niño could affect production prospects in some coffee-growing regions. However, the extent of the impact will depend on temperature changes, rainfall, and the plant’s growth stage.
In Vietnam, the market is focusing its attention on the 2026–2027 coffee crop year. New supply, harvesting progress, and purchasing demand from export companies will play a significant role in determining bulk green coffee prices in the coming weeks.
Coffee price forecast for the coming days: Will it continue to rise?
Domestic coffee prices are receiving support from the recovery of both Robusta and Arabica on the international market. However, the current increase in the Central Highlands is still relatively small, not enough to confirm a sustained upward trend.
In the short term, if London Robusta prices continue to improve and demand from export businesses increases, domestic coffee prices could continue to be supported.
Conversely, supply from the new harvest could put pressure on the market if the amount of goods brought to market increases faster than demand. Developments in Brazilian exports, Colombian production, and weather changes in major growing regions could also cause market volatility.
For coffee growers in Lam Dong, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai provinces, the purchase price at local dealers remains crucial information to monitor directly, as fluctuations in international futures prices are not always immediately reflected in domestic transactions.
Overall, coffee prices in the Central Highlands today, October 13, 2026 , have risen to 92,500–93,200 VND/kg, while the global market has recovered across the board. The developments in subsequent sessions will depend on the speed of bringing new crop goods to market and the ability to maintain buying pressure on the London and New York exchanges.
