EUR climbs on Eurozone data, Fed weighs on USD

By |2025-12-03T19:11:06+02:00December 3, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

EUR/USD trades around 1.1660 on Wednesday, up 0.30% on the day, supported by renewed demand for the single currency and a weakening US Dollar (USD). The pair extends its advance toward fresh one-month highs, helped by stronger European economic indicators and a widening policy gap in favor of the Eurozone.

Eurozone growth prospects improved further after the HCOB Services Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for November was revised higher to 53.6 from 53.1, marking a fourth consecutive monthly expansion and the strongest reading since May 2023. The upward revisions were broad-based, with France rising to 51.4 and Germany to 53.1.

These data reinforce the firm stance of the European Central Bank (ECB). President Christine Lagarde told the ECON Committee of the European Parliament that growth should be supported by household spending and a resilient labor market, adding that underlying inflation remains aligned with the ECB’s 2% medium-term target.

The contrast with the Federal Reserve (Fed) is becoming increasingly pronounced. Markets are pricing an 85% chance of a 25-basis-point rate cut next week, with additional cuts expected in 2026. Speculation that White House adviser Kevin Hassett could replace Chair Jerome Powell, potentially steering policy toward further easing, has amplified this divergence.

US data released earlier in the day has also pressured the US Dollar. The ADP Employment Change report showed a loss of 32,000 jobs in November, compared with an expected gain of 5,000, highlighting growing weakness in the labor market. ADP noted that employers are facing cautious consumers and an uncertain macroeconomic backdrop.

Later today, attention turns to the Institute for Supply Management’s (ISM) Services PMI, expected to ease to 52.1 from 52.4 in October. Another decline in the employment sub-index, already contracting for the past five months, would reinforce concerns about a sharper slowdown in the US economy.

In this environment, the divergence between a firm-leaning ECB and a Fed preparing for deeper monetary easing continues to support the Euro (EUR). Should the ISM report disappoint, downside pressure on the US Dollar could intensify, potentially allowing EUR/USD to extend its recent upward momentum beyond current monthly highs.

EUR/USD Technical Analysis

In the 4-hour chart, EUR/USD trades at 1.1664, up for the day, 26 pips above the day opening price. The 100-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) is rising at 1.1582, and the pair holds above it, reinforcing a bullish bias. Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 71.45 is overbought and suggests momentum is stretched. Immediate resistance aligns at 1.1669, followed by 1.1728, and a sustained break could extend the advance.

Above the 100-period SMA, the bias stays firm. RSI has eased from 72.52 to 71.45, hinting at cooling momentum. The rising trend line from 1.1491 underpins the bullish tone, offering support near 1.1609. Additional support is seen at 1.1469. A dip into trend-line support could attract fresh bids and keep the uptrend intact.

7 Foods and Drinks With More Antioxidants Than Green Tea

By |2025-12-03T19:04:05+02:00December 3, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Green tea is full of antioxidants, which are compounds that help protect your cells from damage and can lower your risk for disease.

Green tea’s antioxidant capacity is about 570-2,620 micromoles per 100 milliliters. Many foods contain antioxidants, some with an even higher antioxidant capacity than green tea.

Berries get their blue and purple hues from antioxidant plant pigments called anthocyanins.

Antioxidants include nutrients like vitamins A, C, and E, the mineral selenium, and compounds called polyphenols.

Berries are a great source of antioxidants. They can be rich in vitamin C, especially blackcurrants and sea buckthorn berries. Eating a cup of mixed berries provides 26 milligrams (mg) of vitamin C, or 29% of the Daily Value (DV).

Berries are also rich in anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol and plant pigment. These compounds give berries red, purple, and blue colors.

Most berries have an antioxidant capacity of about 2,100 to over 15,000 micromoles (μmol) per 100 grams (g). Berries with the highest antioxidant capacity include:

  • Aronia berries
  • Blackberries
  • Blackcurrants
  • Black raspberry
  • Cranberries
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Red raspberry

Kale is rich in vitamins with antioxidant properties, like vitamins A and C.

Vegetables are a great source of antioxidants. One study measured the antioxidant capacity of 303 vegetables and vegetable products. On average, vegetables had about 800 micromoles per 100 grams. However, a few vegetables had much more while some had less.

The study found that curly kale has an antioxidant capacity of about 2,800 micromoles per 100 grams. Kale is rich in vitamins A and C and contains polyphenols.

Other vegetables with high antioxidant capacity include artichokes, red chili peppers, and green chili peppers.

Cocoa is a good source of antioxidants that help lower inflammation and prevent disease.

Cocoa powder has about 636 micromoles of antioxidant capacity per gram. So, chocolate made with more cocoa has higher antioxidant capacity.

Eating antioxidant-rich foods may help reduce inflammation and prevent disease. A 2023 study found that eating 10 grams of cocoa high in polyphenols helped reduce inflammation linked to heart health. Another 2024 study found that people who ate cocoa regularly had lower blood cholesterol.

Spices and herbs like clove, cinnamon, thyme, sage, and saffron have strong antioxidant properties.

Spices come from the seeds, bark, roots, or leaves of plants. These parts of plants are naturally high in polyphenols.

A 2024 study looked at 425 spices and herbs. Clove had the highest antioxidant capacity, followed by peppermint, allspice, cinnamon, oregano, thyme, sage, rosemary, saffron, and tarragon. Their antioxidant capacity ranged from 440 to 2,770 micromoles per gram.

Seeds are an excellent source of antioxidants, including sunflower, sesame, and hemp seeds.

Seeds can contain antioxidant nutrients like vitamins A and E. They are also packed with polyphenols.

A 2020 study looked at the antioxidant capacity of five different seeds. Sunflower seeds had the highest antioxidant capacity, followed by flaxseeds, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and hemp seeds.

Here is the antioxidant content of those seeds:

  • Sunflower seed: 450 µmol/g
  • Flaxseed: 210 µmol/g
  • Sesame seed: 80 µmol/g
  • Poppy seed: 50 µmol/g
  • Hempseed: 30 µmol/g

A study showed that germinating seeds, like chia seeds, improved their antioxidant capacity. In chia seeds, their capacity increased by about 87-105% after four days of germination.

Nuts are rich in vitamins and compounds with powerful antioxidant effects.

Nuts are rich in antioxidant nutrients and beneficial plant compounds. A 2025 study showed that eating 60 grams or more of almonds daily may reduce blood markers of oxidative stress (a state of cell damage that can lead to disease). It may also increase antioxidant enzyme activity, which helps protect cells.

Other studies show that regularly eating nuts may lower the risk of dying from any cause.

Here are the antioxidant capacities of some nuts:

  • Walnuts: 219 µmol/g
  • Pecans: 85 µmol/g
  • Chestnuts: 57 µmol/g

Some nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, pine nuts, and Brazil nuts, are especially rich in vitamin E. Brazil nuts are also particularly high in selenium.

HUIZENG HU / Getty Images

Coffee is one of the drinks with the most antioxidants. It has about 75 to 172 micromoles of antioxidant capacity per gram of ground coffee.

The amount of antioxidants in coffee can change depending on the type of coffee bean, how it is roasted, and how it is brewed.

A 2020 study found that Aeropress coffee had the highest antioxidant capacity. Drip coffee came next, followed by pour-over, espresso, and French press.

Here are some ways to add more antioxidants to your diet:

  • Eat a variety of foods: Different foods contain different types of polyphenols, each with unique health benefits. Include a variety of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds in your meals.
  • Use herbs and spices: Add different herbs and spices to your meals or drinks to increase antioxidant intake. You can make a golden latte with turmeric, sprinkle cinnamon on oatmeal, add cloves to tea, or use ginger in smoothies or stir-fries.
  • Drink antioxidant-rich beverages: Drinks like tea, coffee, and cocoa are great sources of antioxidants. Consume them in moderation, as too much caffeine can cause side effects.
  • Minimize ultra-processed foods: Whole, minimally processed foods usually contain more antioxidants than highly processed options.

BNB coin price prediction as Yi He is named Binance co-CEO — TradingView News

By |2025-12-03T18:59:04+02:00December 3, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

The Binance Coin (BNB) price has surged 8.2% today, outpacing both its weekly and monthly trends, to trade at around $897.78 at press time.

BNB’s surge comes as Binance crypto exchange reshapes its executive structure, naming Yi He, the exchange’s co-founder, as Co-CEO alongside Richard Teng.

Binance leadership shift strengthens market sentiment

The appointment of Yi He as Binance CEO (Co-CEO) reinforces a succession strategy that has been forming since Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stepped down from day-to-day leadership in 2023.

Yi He, who previously worked with CZ at OKCoin before co-founding Binance in 2017, has long shaped the company’s culture, innovation pipeline, and user-first product design.

Her leadership across areas such as Binance Labs, Launchpad, Smart Chain, and the company’s charity programs has been central to the exchange’s identity.

In an official announcement made on X, Binance emphasised that Yi and Teng will guide its next phase with a dual focus: tightening global regulatory alignment and scaling adoption toward one billion users.

CZ publicly endorsed the move, remarking that Yi “should have been the Binance CEO from day one,” underscoring the depth of trust within the founding team.

Notably, CZ’s endorsement reflects confidence that the exchange’s leadership bench is strong enough to navigate increased regulatory scrutiny worldwide.

How the new governance structure is expected to boost Binance

The new leadership structure is designed to help Binance navigate global regulatory frameworks more efficiently.

Teng, known for his background in financial regulation, is expected to deepen compliance initiatives.

Yi will focus on driving product innovation and scaling the ecosystem through partnerships and user-focused initiatives.

Combined, the dual-CEO model aims to strengthen credibility at a time when institutional investors are paying closer attention to governance in the crypto industry.

BNB coin price analysis

As the Binance Coin responds to the leadership change at Binance, today’s price surge is also supported by broader market conditions.

A rebound across the crypto sector, fueled by expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut and rising Bitcoin ETF inflows, has added liquidity to the altcoin market.

Bitcoin reclaiming the $93,000 region has also lifted correlated assets, and BNB, known historically as a high-beta altcoin, has benefited strongly from the shift in sentiment.

From a technical standpoint, the price of BNB today shows momentum building after the token broke above the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement at $906.11 before slightly pulling back.

In addition, BNB has formed a double-bottom pattern, a bullish structure signalling trend reversal.

The cryptocurrency has also broken out of a descending channel on the four-hour chart, reflecting improving strength on short-term timeframes.

Trading volume has risen as well, showing strong interest from investors who see the leadership transition as a stabilising development for the broader Binance ecosystem.

BNB price forecast: can Binance Coin sustain the rally?

Looking ahead, the BNB price forecast depends on how the market digests the leadership transition and upcoming macro events.

Staying above the immediate support at $879.52 could support a continued bullish momentum that could further push the BNB coin price toward the $1,054 region, according to some analysts, especially if FOMO accelerates after a clean breakout above $900.

A supportive Federal Reserve decision later this month may further boost liquidity and extend the rally.

Conversely, failure to hold above $879.52 could lead to a short-term pullback to the next support zone around $859.50, or even a deeper dive to the lows at $793.45.

Surviving Septic Shock – HealthyWomen

By |2025-12-03T18:38:12+02:00December 3, 2025|Fitness News, News|0 Comments

There was a taste of fall in the air. The musty scent of leaves hung heavy as they crunched beneath our feet. October days were getting shorter. And the holidays were looming like shadows in the late afternoon sun. I regarded the soon-to-be festive season with an unsettling feeling of impending doom.

This was an autumn like no other. My husband Joe and I were headed to my outpatient physical therapy appointment. My legs were stick thin and I walked like a newborn fawn on wobbly, unsteady limbs. My weight had dropped to 115, and my hair was falling out. I lived an anxiety-riddled existence. Crying every day and waking up in a panic after a fitful sleep filled with horrendous nightmares.

Five months earlier, on May 22, 2021, my colon perforated from undiagnosed diverticulitis, a serious infection. I went into septic shock, my immune system’s dysfunctional way of fighting the infection, and my organs started to fail. Our world was rocked in an instant as I was flown by helicopter to shock trauma for emergency surgery in Baltimore. The doctors were doubtful I’d make it.

Surprisingly, I did. A large part of my colon was removed, and a temporary colostomy was placed by pulling a small piece of intestine through my abdominal wall to create a stoma to get rid of waste while my intestines healed. My colorectal surgeon, a brilliant physician with skillful hands, said she would reconnect everything by doing a colostomy reversal in December. The nurses marveled over my neatly stapled 10-inch incision that ran straight down my stomach and through my belly button. They said the stoma was “beautiful.” My surgeon had done amazing work, but I wasn’t sure about calling the stoma “beautiful.”

Jackie in shock trauma ICU after suffering from septic shock, 2021.

I spent over a month in the hospital and inpatient rehab. Only to be re-admitted again to drain a post-op infection shortly after I came home. I had to learn to walk again and brush my teeth. I had to adapt to the stoma. Sepsis left me drained and my muscles wasted away. I couldn’t pour a bowl of cereal and could barely sit up for more than 10 minutes at a time.

My nerves were shot. My family did everything they could to ease my mind, but they didn’t understand what was happening. I didn’t even realize I was suffering from PTSD and post-sepsis syndrome, a condition that affects about 50% of survivors, but no one knows much about. We suffer in silence. My mind had been overtaken by irrational fears of just about everything. I was terrified to have bloodwork done or my vitals taken. I started to emotionally detach from life itself. I was tuning out, just like the blank screen on the TV that I would stare at for hours.

The holidays, and my next surgery, were fast approaching. I was so sure that I wouldn’t survive the reversal that I booked the surgery for December 8to be sure I didn’t miss my youngest daughter Alexis’s 21st birthday on the 5th. I wanted Alexis to enjoy that milestone, just in case I didn’t make it.

Alexis, my other daughter Elise, and my son Joey and his fiancé Colleen, assured me they would handle the holidays. Meanwhile, I had a calendar full of “must-dos.” A colonoscopy, to check if everything was okay inside for surgery. Iron infusions, tons of bloodwork, cardiology clearances, pulmonology clearances and a physical. This surgery was no walk in the park. It would take several hours and was very complex. I also have several chronic, disabling conditions, including Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos, POTS, Crohn’s disease and severe osteoporosis. I had a lot of pre-surgery boxes to check.

Come November, my husband suggested we go to a nearby lake and take walks as the afternoon sun was getting even lower in the sky. The leaves were really rustling now. The walks helped settle my mind a bit and strengthened my muscles for surgery. I continued with outpatient physical therapy. I was still very weak — and plagued by my mental demons of doom.

Thanksgiving arrived on a bright sunny November morning. Elise and Alexis helped their dad get everything ready. They made all the things — turkey, stuffing, potatoes and pie. Joey and Colleen brought more food and cookies. New memories were forming around me, just as savory as the meal. As we sat around the table, and the kids joked and laughed, I looked around intently and tried to take a mental snapshot and put the picture away in my heart. Just in case my fears came true.

Before Alexis left that weekend to go back to college, I gave her an early birthday present. A Pandora bracelet and a 21 charm, with her birthstone. Tears welled up in my eyes. I was convinced I’d never live to see her graduate, much less see her return home for Christmas break in a few weeks. I tried not to give away my fears, but I failed miserably.

Surviving Septic Shock – HealthyWomen Jackie and Alexis with Alexis’ 21st birthday charm bracelet, 2021

December rolled in with a crisp chill. I avoided listening to Christmas music. It was too wistful and sentimental, and it hurt my heart and a huge lump formed in my throat. Bing Crosby’s “You’re all I want for Christmas,” has always been a sore spot. My dad used to play it on the family stereo when I was little, and it makes me think of family who are no longer here. And now, I worried that it would be the last time I’d be here to hear holiday songs. Instead, I kept smooth jazz on the radio. Nice, neutral territory.

My nerves were fraught with tension and terror the morning of my surgery check-in at 5 a.m. in Baltimore at the same hospital. I almost escaped and ran out the front doors. My husband coaxed me back inside, and a registration staff member named Tatia came over and sat with me and held my hands. She gently prodded and asked what was wrong. I told her I was sure I was going to die in surgery. Tatia asked me about my kids, their careers and what had brought me there that morning. I gushed about my kids and then told her about the sepsis and my previous flirtation with death. She assured me I was very strong to have survived that, and I would survive this too. She came upstairs with us to the pre-op area and stayed until my surgeon arrived. It was like I had an angel looking out for me that morning.

When I woke up in the recovery room, the nurses gleefully announced that I had made it. I was on the other side! Just not “that” side. I was still on this planet, much to my surprise. I peeked under the covers at the small white bandage on the left side of my stomach where my stoma used to be. My surgeon said the takedown was a success, although it took a few days for everything to start working again. I spent eight days in the hospital, walking in the halls dragging my IV pole. Joe filmed my progress for Instagram. One of my nurses fashioned a makeshift sparkly pipe cleaner into a Christmas ornament and attached it to my IV pole. It was the most beautiful decoration I’d ever seen.

Jackie and her kids, Christmas 2021 Jackie and her kids, Christmas 2021

The day after I came home, our son drove to Pittsburgh to bring Alexis home for break. The girls had insisted on waiting till I came home to decorate the tree. I was still frail and weak. But I was able to lie on the couch and watch them hang ornaments while playing the Christmas song guessing game with their dad. Alexis put on classic Christmas carols (the really old ones), and when the first few seconds of the song began, she’d ask her dad to name the artist. They had played this game for years.

My husband helped make a few purchases online, so we’d have something for the kids on Christmas morning. Elise had purchased a Fitbit way back in September so I could keep track of my steps as I continued my recovery. She always was more certain of my survival than I was. Joey and Colleen bought me a Wii Fit so I could workout at home on my off days from physical therapy. Alexis made the best meal, and it felt like we opened a new chapter. Waves of emotion erupted as I opened the gifts. I really didn’t need the gifts; my family was all I needed. It felt surreal. To still be alive. Like a dream. Our Christmas dream. And it was all I ever wanted that Christmas.

Firelight unveils XRP staking on Flare for DeFi insurance — TradingView News

By |2025-12-03T17:43:00+02:00December 3, 2025|News, NFT News|0 Comments

Firelight launched its XRP staking protocol on the Flare Network today, allowing users to stake wrapped XRP (FXRP) and receive liquid staking tokens (stXRP) for DeFi applications while preparing for insurance-backed rewards.

The protocol enables XRP holders to deposit FXRP into vaults through Flare’s trust-minimized bridging system. Users receive stXRP tokens that can be traded or utilized across DeFi applications while maintaining exposure to potential staking rewards.

Firelight’s model focuses on using staked XRP to underwrite insurance coverage for DeFi protocols, targeting protection against risks including smart contract failures. The insurance-based rewards are expected to activate in an upcoming phase based on protocol adoption rates.

The launch connects XRP to expanded use cases within Flare’s DeFi ecosystem, enabling yield generation through staking mechanisms while supporting insurance coverage for high-value protocols. The initiative has attracted institutional interest due to its focus on providing comprehensive DeFi risk coverage.

XRP was originally designed for faster cross-border payments and has increasingly integrated into the DeFi ecosystem through bridging technologies that convert it into productive assets for various blockchain applications.

British Pound to Dollar Forecast: GBP Steady with Fed Cut Odds Above 85%

By |2025-12-03T17:10:05+02:00December 3, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

– Written by

The Pound to Dollar exchange rate (GBP/USD) hovered near 1.3200 as the dollar regained some ground and Sterling struggled to build momentum.

Markets remain heavily priced for a December Fed cut, with upcoming ADP and ISM data likely to shape expectations.

Medium-term projections still favour a softer dollar, though BoE easing could temper Pound Sterling gains.

GBP/USD Forecasts: Stall Above 1.32

The Pound to Dollar (GBP/USD) exchange rate tested support below 1.3200 on Tuesday before trading close to this level as the dollar recouped some ground while the Pound was unable to make headway.

ING expects renewed dollar losses; “We think the conditions for USD weakening persist after yesterday’s rollercoaster ride.”

JP Morgan forecasts GBP/USD gains to 1.37 by March as the dollar loses ground.

On a near-term view, markets are waiting for ADP jobs and ISM services-sector releases on Wednesday.

ING commented; “Yesterday’s ISM manufacturing didn’t move pricing for a December cut as expected: prices paid were a bit higher than expected, but the headline index print was soft. We expect that the remainder of the week will validate the market’s dovish pricing for next week’s Fed meeting.”

Markets are still pricing in over an 85% chance of a Fed rate cut next week.

According to ANZ head of G3 economics Brian Martin; “I really do think the Fed needs to cut interest rates, and not just cut rates in December, but follow through with further cuts next year.”

The medium-term Fed outlook will also be a key element for markets, especially with on-going speculation that Kevin Hassett will be nominated to be the next Fed Chair and act as a “shadow Chair” over the next few months.

Scotiabank noted that markets are reluctant to price in rates dipping below 3% and added; “It will be hard to persuade some policymakers of the merits of that argument in the near-term but leadership lobbying to lower the Fed funds target rate significantly without clear justification would raise concerns about political influence on the FOMC, representing a clear threat to USD stability.”

As far as the UK economy is concerned, the OECD has raised its 2026 forecast for GDP growth to 1.2% from 1% and sees growth of 1.3% in 2027.

The organisation is still wary over the risk of sticky inflation.

According to the OECD; “Elevated inflation expectations and potential second-round effects from increases in payroll taxes and the minimum wage, as well as from high food inflation, constitute an upside risk to prices.”

It called for the Bank of England (BoE) to maintain a cautious stance on rate cuts, but traders are pricing in around a 90% chance of a cut this month.

MUFG noted relatively hawkish comments from MPC member Greene on Monday, but added; “with only one additional member likely required to vote for cut to get a majority on the MPC, we still believe the BoE is on track to cut rates, and encourage a weaker pound heading into year end.”

According to Scotiabank; “The outlook for relative central bank policy remains supportive for the GBP, as we expect the BoE to ease less than the Fed.”

Settling the creatine safety debate

By |2025-12-03T17:03:03+02:00December 3, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

New analysis breaks down decades of debate, revealing that creatine’s biggest threats aren’t cancer or kidney failure, but misinformation and poor-quality supplements.

Study: A short review of the most common safety concerns regarding creatine ingestion. Image credit: djavan rodriguez/Shutterstock.com

In a recent review published in Frontiers in Nutrition, researchers evaluated long-standing health concerns about creatine monohydrate, an extensively used supplement.

Their findings indicate that when taken appropriately, creatine appears to be safe. Any side effects are generally mild and most often linked to the consumption of high single doses. However, further research is needed to understand risks for those who are pregnant or have kidney disease.

Creatine and cancer risk

Discussion of creatine’s potential carcinogenicity often centers on heterocyclic amines (HCAs), compounds that form when creatine, amino acids, and sugars react under high temperatures during cooking.

Although HCAs can be mutagenic at very high concentrations in laboratory models, the amounts found in cooked meat (and even more so in creatine supplements) are far lower. Human evidence showing direct harm is almost non-existent. In one human trial examining creatine’s influence on HCA formation, only nine urine samples contained measurable HCAs, and the majority came from placebo recipients, suggesting that creatine does not increase mutagen production.

Some mechanistic studies raise theoretical concerns that elevated creatine availability may support cancer cell energy metabolism or metastasis through creatine kinase-related pathways. Evidence from certain mouse models indicates that Smad2/3-mediated increases in metastatic potential exist.

However, other experiments report precisely opposite effects: creatine and its analog, cyclocreatine, often slow tumor growth, enhance the activity of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CD8 T-cells), which are crucial for targeting and destroying cancerous cells, and may even augment the efficacy of chemotherapies.

These inconsistencies reflect the great variability in cancer types and experimental models. As a result, current evidence does not justify claims that creatine increases cancer risk in humans. Instead, the primary safety issue lies in supplement purity, as some commercial products may contain contaminants or even unapproved pharmaceutical ingredients if not third-party tested.

Creatine and kidney function

Concerns about renal harm date back to isolated case reports in the 1990s, many involving people with pre-existing kidney disease, extreme training loads, or simultaneous use of nephrotoxic substances. Some early animal models also suggested possible harm. However, interspecific differences make it difficult to extrapolate such findings.

A large body of human research now demonstrates that creatine does not impair kidney function in healthy individuals. Serum creatinine often rises during supplementation, but this increase reflects increased creatine turnover, not reduced filtration. When more accurate renal markers, such as cystatin C, urinary proteins, electrolytes, or direct glomerular filtration rate techniques, are used, kidney function remains stable. Studies using doses of up to 20 grams per day and durations of up to five years have shown no evidence of renal damage.

Even in higher-risk groups, including adults on hemodialysis, older adults with diabetes, individuals with rheumatic diseases, and even a person with a single kidney, creatine has not produced clinically meaningful declines in kidney health when monitored appropriately. Still, because evidence in people with significant renal impairment is limited, the authors advise close supervision and use of biomarkers independent of creatinine if supplementation is considered.

Hydration, thermoregulation, and muscle cramps

Creatine is osmotically active and increases intracellular water, especially during loading phases that involve high daily doses. This observation led to speculation that creatine might reduce extracellular water, impair heat dissipation, and contribute to dehydration-associated injuries, particularly after anecdotal reports involving athletes training in hot environments.

However, controlled studies have consistently contradicted these fears. Research involving strenuous exercise in heat, dehydration protocols, and high humidity found that creatine does not exacerbate plasma volume loss, electrolyte balance, body temperature, or heart rate responses.

Sweat rates, total body water, intracellular water, and thermoregulatory responses remain comparable to placebo, and in some cases, creatine users maintain plasma volume slightly better during early dehydration. Long-term trials in football players even suggest that creatine may reduce the risk of cramping and muscle injury, likely because increased intracellular water helps preserve cellular function under heat stress.

Gastrointestinal issues

Gastrointestinal discomfort, including diarrhea, bloating, and stomach upset, is the most reported side effect, yet it appears to be dose-related. Large single doses (more than 10 g at once) may leave excess creatine unabsorbed in the intestine, drawing water into the gut and accelerating transit.

Controlled trials have shown that when daily doses are kept between 2 and 5 grams, or when higher intakes are divided into multiple smaller servings, symptoms are generally comparable to those of a placebo. Meta-analyses of hundreds of trials involving more than 26,000 participants similarly find no significant difference in gastrointestinal event rates between creatine and placebo groups. Some discomfort may stem from impurities or additives in poorly manufactured supplements rather than creatine itself.

Creatine use in pregnancy

Although human data are limited, the review notes that animal studies consistently show protective effects of creatine during fetal hypoxia and other stressors, without observed harm to mothers or offspring.

However, because no randomized controlled trials exist in pregnant humans and physiological changes during pregnancy could alter creatine handling, the authors emphasize that creatine supplementation should not currently be recommended in routine prenatal care.

Conclusions

According to this review, the evidence overwhelmingly indicates that creatine monohydrate is safe when used in recommended doses. Mild gastrointestinal side effects may occur with large single intakes, and more research is needed in pregnant women and individuals with serious kidney disease.

For the general population, however, creatine remains one of the most well-supported and safest dietary supplements available. The authors also stress that only third-party tested creatine products should be used to avoid potential contamination with undeclared or unapproved ingredients.

Polygon (MATIC) finds itself at a critical juncture as December 2025 unfolds, trading at $0.38 and showing signs of consolidation near multi-month lows. Our comprehensive MATIC price prediction analysis reveals a mixed technical picture that suggests moderate upside potential, contingent on breaking key resistance levels that have proven stubborn throughout the recent bearish cycle.

MATIC Price Prediction Summary

• MATIC short-term target (1 week): $0.40 (+5.3%)
• Polygon medium-term forecast (1 month): $0.42-$0.48 range
• Key level to break for bullish continuation: $0.58
• Critical support if bearish: $0.33

Recent Polygon Price Predictions from Analysts

Recent analyst consensus points to cautious optimism for MATIC’s price trajectory. Blockchain.News has consistently maintained medium-term targets between $0.42-$0.52 across multiple forecasts, with their latest Polygon forecast suggesting a $0.42-$0.48 range representing 11-26% upside potential from current levels.

The analytical community appears divided on timing but unified on the importance of the $0.58 resistance level. This critical threshold has emerged as the make-or-break point that will determine whether MATIC can mount a sustained recovery or remain range-bound. The consensus MATIC price prediction reflects moderate confidence levels, with most analysts acknowledging the challenging technical environment while recognizing oversold conditions that could fuel a bounce.

MATIC Technical Analysis: Setting Up for Consolidation Before Breakout

Current Polygon technical analysis reveals a cryptocurrency in transition, displaying characteristics of both oversold conditions and bearish momentum. The RSI reading of 38.00 positions MATIC in neutral territory, suggesting the selling pressure that drove the token down 70% from its 52-week high of $1.27 may be exhausting itself.

The MACD histogram at -0.0045 continues to flash bearish signals, but the narrowing momentum divergence hints at potential stabilization. More telling is MATIC’s position within the Bollinger Bands at 0.2879, indicating the price is trading in the lower portion of its recent range but not at extreme oversold levels that typically precede sharp reversals.

Volume analysis from Binance spot trading shows $1.07 million in 24-hour turnover, representing below-average participation that often characterizes consolidation phases. The daily ATR of $0.03 suggests relatively contained volatility, which could indicate accumulation by longer-term holders ahead of the next directional move.

Polygon Price Targets: Bull and Bear Scenarios

Bullish Case for MATIC

The optimistic MATIC price prediction scenario envisions a structured recovery that begins with reclaiming the $0.42 level (EMA 26), followed by a test of the $0.45-$0.48 resistance zone. This Polygon forecast aligns with the SMA 50 at $0.45, making it a natural profit-taking area for any sustained bounce.

For the bullish case to materialize, MATIC must first establish support above the current pivot point of $0.38, then demonstrate the ability to hold gains above the SMA 7 at $0.37. The critical MATIC price target remains $0.58, where breaking this level would signal a fundamental shift in market structure and potentially open the door to $0.70+ targets over the medium term.

Technical confirmation would come from RSI moving above 50, MACD histogram turning positive, and sustained volume above the recent average. The timeline for this scenario spans 4-6 weeks, requiring patience as MATIC works through overhead resistance.

Bearish Risk for Polygon

The downside MATIC price prediction centers on a break below the immediate support at $0.35, which would likely trigger stops and push the token toward the strong support zone at $0.33. This level represents approximately the 52-week low area and would constitute a significant technical failure.

A breakdown scenario would likely be accompanied by broader cryptocurrency market weakness and could see MATIC testing the $0.30 psychological level. The bearish case gains credibility if the RSI fails to hold above 35 or if the MACD histogram extends deeper into negative territory without signs of stabilization.

Risk factors include continued institutional selling pressure, broader market correction, or failure to demonstrate utility growth within the Polygon ecosystem. The timeline for bearish development would be more compressed, potentially playing out over 2-3 weeks.

Should You Buy MATIC Now? Entry Strategy

The current technical setup suggests a measured approach rather than aggressive accumulation. For those considering whether to buy or sell MATIC, the optimal entry strategy involves scaling into positions on any weakness toward the $0.35 support level, with initial stop-losses placed below $0.33.

Conservative traders should wait for confirmation above $0.40 before initiating positions, as this would suggest the immediate downtrend is breaking. More aggressive investors might consider dollar-cost averaging between $0.35-$0.38, recognizing the proximity to established support levels.

Position sizing should remain modest given the mixed technical signals, with no single entry representing more than 2-3% of portfolio allocation. The risk-reward profile favors patience, as the spread between current price and both upside targets ($0.45+) and downside risks ($0.33) provides reasonable asymmetry for disciplined entries.

MATIC Price Prediction Conclusion

Our comprehensive MATIC price prediction points to a $0.42-$0.48 target range over the next 4-6 weeks, representing 11-26% upside potential from current levels. This Polygon forecast carries medium confidence given the mixed technical signals and broader market uncertainty affecting cryptocurrency valuations.

The key indicators to monitor for confirmation include RSI movement above 45, MACD histogram stabilization, and most critically, price action around the $0.58 resistance level. Invalidation of the bullish thesis would come from a decisive break below $0.35 on sustained volume.

The timeline for this prediction extends through January 2026, with initial signals expected within 2-3 weeks as MATIC either confirms support at current levels or breaks down toward deeper oversold conditions. Traders should remain flexible and ready to adjust positions based on these key technical developments that will determine MATIC’s near-term trajectory.

Silver declined in its latest intraday trading after the important resistance level at $58.80 held, as the price attempts to acquire positive momentum that may help it break this resistance. At the same time, silver is trying to relieve part of its clear overbought saturation on the RSI indicators, especially with the arrival of negative signal inflows. This comes under the dominance of the main short-term ascending trend, with the price moving alongside both primary and secondary trendlines that support this path.
