The 10 Best Greens Powders, Tested and Reviewed (2025)

Greens Powders We Don’t Recommend

Photograph: Louryn Strampe

Huel Daily Greens for $50: Huel’s greens powders come in a big bag with a scoop, and an optional shaker bottle that is included for free if you purchase from the Huel website for the first time. The normal flavor is horrifyingly bad. I am not a person who gags easily, ever, and I thought I was going to actually hurl as I walked around my kitchen gagging after trying it. It is oddly reminiscent of banana, but specifically the white stringy parts of a banana, mixed with the way dog food smells. It’s bitter, savory, and vaguely sweet at the same time. I could only sip it a few times to get those tasting notes down before I dumped it down the drain. The Watermelon flavor is, somehow, even worse. Like if you drank whole milk mixed with a watermelon seltzer water and added in a dash of white button mushrooms. I won’t tell you what’s in this powder because I can’t in good conscience recommend it to you. Even if you hate the taste of Brussels sprouts, I promise they’re still preferable to this supplement. And! To add insult to injury, this vile powder made me gassy, which I am unfortunately admitting to you here on the internet in the hope that it further persuades you to try something else.

Amazing Grass Sweet Greens for $30: I’ve been drinking powdered greens for over a year now, and I can say that, like broccoli or Vegemite, many if not most greens brands are an acquired taste. Ironically, none has challenged my ability to keep drinking ground-up spirulina and alfalfa as much as Sweet Greens, Amazing Grass’ attempt at making greens more palatable. “Fall in love with greens all over again,” say the marketing materials, promising tasty fruit flavors like Peach Hibiscus, Summer Berry, and Tropical Lime. For reasons known only to myself at that exact moment in time, I bought the latter, and if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to add plain stevia to a bucket of moldy cardboard covered in pond water, you might enjoy Tropical Lime Sweet Greens. For everyone else, I’d recommend sticking with Bloom. —Kat Merck

WelleCo Super Elixir for $85: This powder claims to come “without the bitter greens taste,” but bitter greens were all I could taste with the Lemon and Ginger flavor. It wasn’t outright offensive, per se, but the flavor combined with the texture made this a miss for me. The powder took forever to fully dissolve, and it left behind a gritty texture that made me want to brush my teeth—no matter how much I diluted it, the granules stuck to the roof of my mouth and all of my tooth enamel. The nutritional profile isn’t bad, with added biotin, zinc, and copper, but, ultimately, I think this greens powder would be too difficult to drink on a daily basis for the average person to reap any benefits. Unless you want to plug your nose and chug it, I’d recommend going with another pick.

Pound to Dollar Forecast: End to GBP Rebound on Break Below 1.3420

By |2025-06-22T19:44:58+03:00June 22, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

June 22, 2025 – Written by Tim Boyer

The Pound to Dollar (GBP/USD) exchange rate found support above 1.3400 and consolidated close to 1.3500 in New York trading.

The Pound was unable to draw support from the UK data while a net easing of immediate geo-political concerns curbed dollar support as the US appears to have pulled back from an immediate attack on Iran’s underground nuclear facilities.

According to UoB; “On the downside, if GBP breaks below 1.3420 (minor support is at 1.3445), it would indicate that GBP is not rebounding further.”

It expects resistance in the 1.3500-20 range.

Scotiabank is still bullish on GBP/USD, but does note that a loss of momentum is worrying. It added; “In terms of near-term price action, we look to support at 1.3400 and see limited resistance ahead of 1.3550.”

Immediate Middle East concerns eased slightly amid hopes that any delay in sanctioning a US attack on Iran would give diplomacy a chance, but there is still a high degree of uncertainty.

Scotiabank commented; “President Trump appears to want to give diplomacy more time but the mixed messaging highlights the rather capricious and volatile nature of policymaking in this administration.”

The Federal Reserve and Bank of England both decided against changing interest rates this week, but there are huge challenges for both central banks given the global environment.

Saxo chief investment strategist Charu Chanana commented; “Rising oil prices introduce inflation uncertainty at a time when growth is weakening.”

She added; “That makes central banks’ jobs much harder — do they ease to support growth or hold back to avoid fuelling inflation? Most seem to be prioritizing growth concerns for now, assuming that crude gains may not be sustained.”

UK data illustrated underlying challenges. UK government borrowing increased to £17.7bn in May from £17.0bn last year. Data for the first two months of 2025/26 were still below the March OBR forecast, but there are clear underlying pressures.

RSM economist Thomas Pugh commented; “Looking ahead to the budget in the autumn, the under performance of the economy and higher borrowing costs mean the chancellor may already have lost the £9.9bn of fiscal headroom that she clawed back in March.

He added; “We are pencilling in tax increases of £10-£20bn. The good news is that with interest rates likely to be around 4% at the time of the budget there is plenty of scope for the Bank of England to cut rates to offset the impact of any fiscal consolidation on the economy.”

Elsewhere, retail sales volumes posted a sharp 2.7% drop for May after a revised 1.3% increase for April amid a sharp decline in food sales on the month following a weather-related surge in April.

According to Rabobank there will be quarterly BoE rate cuts; “This pace gives the Committee space to assess inflation persistence, labour cost dynamics, the Trump presidency and its Schrödinger’s tariffs, and any new shocks that undoubtedly emerge, such as in the Middle East right now.”

Rabobank added; The limits of monetary policy may again be explored if Iran makes good on renewed threats overnight to close the Strait of Hormuz. Unfortunately, central banks can’t print oil or gas.”

The US Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index was unchanged at -4.0 for June, compared with consensus forecasts of -2.0 with a slight easing of inflation pressures.

Companies were less confident over the outlook with expectations of stronger upward pressure on prices.

Scotiabank considers that the dollar price action is disappointing; “FX price action suggests the brief push higher in the USD yesterday through trend resistance that has dictated the slide in the index since January has been rejected.”

Best XRP Month Coming? Price History Says Yes

By |2025-06-22T17:36:13+03:00June 22, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

XRP is heading into the last week of June with losses mounting up, and unless something changes dramatically, the token is set to end Q2, 2025, with disappointing performance.

After dropping 0.80% in May and then falling even more, at -5.64% this month, it looks like the quarter will probably end up being negative, even though April’s earlier 4.98% rise was encouraging. Momentum has gone, and the price is just drifting around — but if you look at the bigger picture, it’s not as random as it seems.

You Might Also Like

Actually, XRP’s long-term seasonality points to July as the star month in its whole trading history. Besides April, It’s the only one where both the average and median monthly returns are clearly positive, with average gains of 7.90% and a median return of 6.91%. You can’t achieve that kind of consistency over more than 10 years by accident. It suggests a kind of pattern that’s built into how the market works, especially after some weaker spring performances.

Looking back, this setup isn’t new. In 2024, XRP dropped about 25% in Q2, but then rallied almost 29% in Q3. In 2022, the drawdown was steeper — a brutal 59.4% crash in Q2 — but was followed by a sharp 44.5% recovery in Q3.

We also saw similar rebound patterns in 2020 and 2021. These aren’t just one-off flips — they are part of a bigger trend that’s pointing to a summer surge after a bit of a slow Q2.

Title news

Right now, XRP price is trading at around $2.03, which is good news as it’s holding above the key long-term support levels and drifting inside a narrow volatility band. There’s no major breakdown underway, but there’s also no immediate catalyst pushing things forward. That said, the current calm might not last much longer.

If history is anything to go by, XRP’s July is going to completely reverse the tone. And that window is just around the corner.

Nourishing The Mind: How Supplements Can Support Women’s Mental Well-Being | Health and Fitness News

By |2025-06-22T15:42:24+03:00June 22, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Last Updated:

While therapy, and lifestyle changes are essential tools to manage mental health, many women are also turning to supplements to support their mental well-being.

While supplements can aid in managing stress, they should be complemented with healthy habits and professional care.

From juggling careers and family to navigating hormonal shifts, women often carry a complex emotional load. In the pursuit of balance, mental well-being can sometimes take a backseat. While therapy, mindfulness, and lifestyle changes are essential tools, many women are also turning to natural supplements to support their emotional health. Backed by science and rooted in holistic wellness, these supplements can play a gentle yet impactful role in managing stress, mood swings, anxiety, and fatigue.

Jeevan Kasara, Director and CEO of Steris Healthcare Pvt. Ltd shares about how targeted nutrients can help nurture the mind, and why supporting mental well-being naturally is more relevant than ever.

Why Supplements Matter for Mental Well-being

An individual’s mental well-being is closely tied to their physical health; moods can be changed or energy levels affected directly by nutritional deficiencies that might be subtle and overlooked. Kasara explains, “For instance, irritability and fatigue may result from low vitamin B12 or iron levels, while a decrease inomega-33 could contribute to mood disorders. Such vitamins that can help supplement meals are essential in stress management as well as hormonal balance and even brain function support.”

Kasara shares some key Supplements that support women’s mental health.

Magnesium – Magnesium, also called the ‘relaxation mineral’, plays an important role in calming the nervous system. It helps regulate cortisol (the stress hormone) and supports better sleep. Most women do not know they have low magnesium levels which can worsen their anxiety, PMS symptoms or lead to insomnia.

Vitamin B Complex – B vitamins, mainly B6, B9 (folate) and B12, are vital for brain health because they assist in manufacturing neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine that regulate a healthy mood. Kasara explains, “B-complex supplements will work great on women with mood swings, fatigue or postpartum depression.”

Omega-3 Fatty Acids – Omega-3s found in fish oil and flaxseed oil support brain health and reduce inflammation. Studies have shown that they may help with symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Adaptogenic Herbs – Herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola, and holy basil to name a few helps the body to respond to stress by controlling cortisol levels.

Probiotics – Good mental health begins in the gut through the gut-brain axis where there is a strong connection between your mental status and probiotics. A healthy gut microbiome plays a key role in keeping our mood stable, enhancing memory, and managing stress levels. It also supports digestion, making it essential for maintaining overall emotional and physical balance.

Vitamin D – Women who spend most of their time indoors tend to suffer from depression due to low vitamin D levels. Taking Vitamin D3 supplement every day helps boost moods particularly during monsoon as well as winters and even aids in enhancing immunity.

Though supplements can provide relief naturally, they cannot address all kinds of situations. Kasara adds, “If you are pregnant or undergoing chronic illnesses, consult a doctor before starting any supplementation. Furthermore, do not consider dietary supplements as alternatives for good living habits such as balanced diets, regular exercise, or psychological specialist services provided by professionals.”

Mental wellness among women is an integral part of overall health. This emotional resilience can be enhanced further if combined with targeted nutritional supplementation and indulging in mindful practices like yoga, journaling and enough rest.

The rise of matcha bars in India

By |2025-06-22T13:41:13+03:00June 22, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

In the past year, there’s been a proliferation of boba tea brands and matcha bars. Looking at the global adoption of these teas, we’re a bit late to the party but are certainly catching up. About a year ago, I wrote on the changing styles of tea, and Anne-Frédérique Dayraut, a tea promoter in France, had talked about how matcha, boba and chai are almost dissociated from tea, as standalone beverages. Still, the tea world can lay claim to this popularity, especially given that these are teas one enjoys out of home, lend themselves to customising, and are hence attractive to a new generation of tea drinkers.

I decided to visit the newest entrant in Bengaluru, Got Tea, a matcha and bubble tea bar that has opened in Kalyan Nagar, after seeing a lot of traction in their National Capital Region outlets. What was fascinating was to see matcha and bubble tea, two very different tea styles with different origins, converge to become a single beverage that is especially popular with 18-25-year olds.

Also read: How to unlock umami from matcha

YuSung Eo, one of Got Tea’s three founders who’s originally from Korea, says when they launched their first outlet in 2020 in Delhi, it was more about boba. Matcha has now taken centre stage and in the past nine months, he is seeing a big boost in interest and sales globally.

Matcha is a tea that was traditionally about Japanese tea ceremony, with flavours quite different from the average tea. Yet that hasn’t come in the way of this current surge in popularity. For so long, one spoke of its acquired flavours of umami and bitterness. And of course, it’s not an inexpensive tea. So to see the demand surge with a global shortage is reason enough to take notice of it. The Japan Times reported in February that matcha production saw a threefold increase from 2010 to 2023, and that in the last five years, it has reached a “tipping point”, with over half of matcha from Japan exported.

Its popularity is owed to its increased association with wellness (high antioxidants and also high caffeine), but perhaps also to its sheer versatility—finding its way into cooking and baking, as hot or cold, with or without milk. And of course, the vibrant green colour. The noise around matcha is growing louder, especially on Instagram.

YuSung spoke of offering an authentic experience, sourcing premium grade matcha from Shizuoka and not skimping on how much matcha they use. He speaks of “guiding” customers to navigate the matcha flavours, and a campaign to promote matcha that includes matcha workshops for tea enthusiasts (so far invitee-only, but soon open to public). It seems to be working—a lesson here for Indian speciality tea makers, on how to create a market for their teas.

I had a matcha lemonade with coconut jelly, not the right choice for a windy day. I wished I had opted for a hot latte instead. But that’s the thing—with so many matcha bars, pop-ups and options across the country offering access to the tea, returning to try another matcha has gotten so easy.

Cheap supplement that could banish painful UTIs praised by patients as ‘life changing’… so why won’t the NHS endorse it?

By |2025-06-22T05:34:59+03:00June 22, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

For the million or so Britons who suffer urinary tract infections (UTIs) every year, the symptoms are all too familiar: discomfort, rushing to the loo and a burning sensation when peeing.

And although antibiotics are routinely prescribed, many patients – more commonly women than men – either find the drugs don’t always cure the problem or the infections quickly return.

But experts now believe these debilitating infections could, in some cases, be prevented and treated with a dietary supplement costing as little as 50p a day.

In her Mail on Sunday column last week, Dr Ellie Cannon wrote that, despite being sceptical about supplements in general, she’d been impressed by patients’ experiences with one called D-mannose.

In response, dozens of readers sent messages detailing how taking it had dramatically improved their health.

Jane Ellaby, 75, from near Sheffield, struggled for years with the bladder infection cystitis – until D-mannose banished her symptoms. She said: ‘I’ve recommended this supplement to several friends who’ve also had positive results.’

Maureen Mathieson, 57, from Ayrshire, has taken D-mannose for five years. She said: ‘I regularly suffered from UTIs which made me miserable – despite repeatedly taking antibiotics. A nurse suggested D-mannose and it’s been really successful.’

And for Elaine Leake, 75, from Durham, up to six bladder infections a year also meant regular antibiotics – until a urologist recommended D-mannose. She said: ‘I haven’t had a bladder infection since April 2021.’

Each year more than a million Britons, 80 per cent of them women, develop a UTI in either the bladder, urethra or kidneys (Stock Image)

In her Mail on Sunday column last week, Dr Ellie Cannon (pictured) wrote that, despite being sceptical about supplements in general, she’d been impressed by patients’ experiences with one called D-mannose

According to Dr Cat Anderson, a GP and specialist in women’s health, the benefits can’t be overstated.

She says: ‘People who haven’t suffered UTIs tend to underestimate how devastating they can be. At worst, patients can be peeing up to 50 times a day: they don’t sleep, they become depressed and run-down, their immune system takes a hit.

‘Finding something like D-mannose that actually helps is incredibly valuable.’

Each year more than a million Britons, 80 per cent of them women, develop a UTI in either the bladder, urethra (the tube carrying urine out of the bladder) or kidneys. Most are caused by bacteria in the urinary tract – with E.coli responsible for up to 90 per cent of cases.

D-mannose is a form of sugar molecule found in some fruits and vegetables – and is sold as a dietary supplement, in tablets or powder form.

It is not absorbed by the body and is quickly excreted in urine. Experts who back its use believe that, while passing through the urinary tract, the molecule binds to harmful bacteria which are then flushed away before they can cause infection.

Dr Anderson says: ‘It’s a bit like rolling a sticky dough-ball in flour. The bacteria – especially E.coli – bind to the D-mannose molecules rather than to bladder cells.’

However, scientific research is divided on D-mannose, and it is not prescribed on the NHS.

Most UTIs are caused by bacteria in the urinary tract ¿ with E.coli responsible for up to 90 per cent of cases (stock Image)

A study earlier this year by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) concluded it does not prevent UTIs.

But a German study published in 2022 in the journal Antibiotics, found that, in patients with acute cystitis, D-mannose produced ‘very good clinical cure rates’.

Dr Anderson is confident that more in-depth research will conclusively prove the value of the supplement.

She says: ‘You have to pump millions into high-grade clinical trials, but UTIs aren’t an area like cancer or heart disease that attracts funding. But if these trials were performed, I can guarantee D-mannose would deliver.

‘Until then, there’s nothing better than experiential evidence – speaking to patients and listening to what they say works.’

Ased Ali, a consultant urological surgeon at Pinderfields Hospital in West Yorkshire and also a member of the medical panel for charity Bladder Health UK, says that as D-mannose has a low risk of side effects it should be considered for patients plagued by UTIs.

He adds: ‘I’ve seen some very positive results in practice. Given its low risk, I think it’s reasonable to consider D-mannose as part of a broader approach to UTI prevention.’

It’s certainly something MoS reader Sue Molt, 75, from Rochdale, would recommend. She wrote: ‘Finally I found something that helped my problem – and I’ve never looked back.’

Solana (SOL) Price Prediction: Is $1,000 Target Achievable? Key Trading Signals Analyzed | Flash News Detail

By |2025-06-22T05:29:12+03:00June 22, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

The cryptocurrency market is buzzing with optimism around Solana (SOL), especially following a bold claim on social media that ‘Solana to $1,000 is programmed.’ This statement, made by a prominent crypto influencer on Twitter on June 21, 2025, has sparked significant discussion among traders and investors. While such predictions are often speculative, they reflect growing confidence in Solana’s potential as a high-performance blockchain. As of 10:00 AM UTC on June 21, 2025, Solana’s price stands at $148.32 on Binance, showing a 4.7% increase over the past 24 hours, with trading volume spiking to $2.3 billion across major exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. This surge aligns with broader market trends, including a 2.1% rise in Bitcoin (BTC) to $71,450 and Ethereum (ETH) gaining 3.4% to $3,920 during the same period. The crypto market’s total capitalization has also risen to $2.5 trillion, indicating a risk-on sentiment that could propel altcoins like Solana further. Meanwhile, the stock market context adds another layer of intrigue, as the S&P 500 recorded a 0.8% gain to 5,520 on June 20, 2025, driven by tech sector strength, which often correlates with crypto market bullishness. This interplay between traditional and digital assets suggests institutional interest may be flowing into high-growth cryptocurrencies like SOL, especially as tech stocks tied to blockchain innovation also trend upward.

From a trading perspective, Solana’s recent price action presents multiple opportunities and risks. The $1,000 price target, while ambitious, implies a potential 574% upside from its current level of $148.32 as of 10:00 AM UTC on June 21, 2025. Traders should note key resistance levels at $160 and $180, which SOL tested earlier this week on June 18, 2025, before retracing slightly. Breaking these levels with sustained volume could signal a move toward $200 in the short term. On-chain metrics support this bullish outlook, with Solana’s daily transaction volume reaching 5.2 million transactions on June 20, 2025, a 12% increase week-over-week, reflecting robust network activity. Additionally, the SOL/BTC trading pair on Binance shows a 2.3% gain over 24 hours as of 11:00 AM UTC on June 21, 2025, indicating relative strength against Bitcoin. Cross-market analysis reveals a correlation with tech-heavy stock indices like the Nasdaq, which rose 1.2% to 17,800 on June 20, 2025. This suggests that positive sentiment in tech stocks could spill over into Solana, especially given its focus on decentralized applications (dApps) and scalability, positioning it as a competitor to Ethereum.

Technical indicators further underscore Solana’s potential for upward momentum. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for SOL/USD on the 4-hour chart sits at 62 as of 12:00 PM UTC on June 21, 2025, indicating bullish momentum without entering overbought territory. The 50-day Moving Average (MA) at $135 provides strong support, while the 200-day MA at $120 reinforces a long-term uptrend. Trading volume for SOL/USDT on Binance hit $1.1 billion in the last 24 hours as of 1:00 PM UTC on June 21, 2025, a 15% increase from the previous day, suggesting growing retail and institutional interest. Market correlations also highlight Solana’s sensitivity to Bitcoin’s movements; BTC/USD’s 2.1% gain to $71,450 as of 10:00 AM UTC today has historically preceded altcoin rallies. In terms of stock-crypto interplay, crypto-related stocks like Coinbase Global (COIN) saw a 3.5% increase to $225 on June 20, 2025, reflecting institutional money flow into the broader digital asset ecosystem. This institutional interest could amplify Solana’s gains, especially as spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $150 million in net inflows on the same day, signaling sustained capital allocation to crypto markets. Traders should monitor these cross-market dynamics for entry and exit points, focusing on volume spikes and macroeconomic catalysts.

In summary, while the $1,000 target for Solana remains speculative, current data and market sentiment provide a foundation for cautious optimism. The interplay between stock market gains, institutional inflows, and on-chain activity creates a favorable environment for SOL trading strategies. However, risk management is crucial given the volatility inherent in altcoins and potential macroeconomic headwinds that could impact both crypto and stock markets.
