Natural Gas News: Market Eyes EIA Storage Report as Winter Demand Boosts Prices

By |2025-02-14T03:31:05+02:00February 14, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

At 14:05 GMT, Natural Gas Futures are trading $3.733, up $0.168 or +4.71%.

Cold Weather and Storage Draws Keep Prices Elevated

Winter conditions remain a key driver of natural gas prices, with Arctic temperatures expected to persist across northern Europe and parts of the U.S. through late February. NatGasWeather forecasts “high” national demand in the coming week as frigid systems bring subzero temperatures across much of the interior U.S.

Meanwhile, today’s EIA report is expected to show a storage draw of 91-96 Bcf, significantly below the five-year average draw of 144 Bcf. Warmer-than-normal conditions in much of the U.S., excluding the northern regions, and stronger wind energy generation last week have contributed to a smaller-than-expected withdrawal. However, if the reported draw is larger than estimates, it could add further fuel to the current rally.

EU Price Cap Proposal and Russia-Ukraine Talks Shake Global Gas Markets

U.S. gas prices are also reacting to developments in the European market. Reports that the European Commission is considering a price cap to control energy costs have been met with opposition from energy industry groups, which warn of potential market instability.

In a separate development, European gas prices tumbled after reports that the U.S. and Russia have agreed to initiate peace talks regarding the war in Ukraine. A resolution could lead to increased Russian pipeline flows through Ukraine, potentially restoring Europe’s cost competitiveness to pre-crisis levels. Dutch TTF futures fell 6.3% following the news, after briefly trading above 58 euros per megawatt-hour earlier this week.

Market Forecast: Short-Term Bullish, but Watch for Resistance

With cold weather sustaining demand and storage withdrawals tightening supplies, natural gas prices are positioned to climb further. If the market maintains its strength above $3.505, a move toward $4.020 is likely. However, traders should remain cautious, as natural gas markets tend to fade rallies quickly. A weaker-than-expected storage draw or a shift toward milder forecasts could trigger a reversal, bringing the 50-day moving average at $3.138 back into play.

Testing 50 Day EMA (Chart)

By |2025-02-14T03:15:49+02:00February 14, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • The Euro has rallied during the trading session on Thursday as we are now testing the crucial 50 Day EMA.
  • The 50-day EMA is a significant technical indicator that many traders closely monitor.
  • Ultimately, this is a market that I think continues to see a lot of choppiness, but I believe that the Euro will continue to be rather weak from the longer-term standpoint.

Recent Consolidation

Recently trading in this market has been between the 1.05 level at the top and the 1.02 level at the bottom. At this point, we are getting fairly close to the top, and it’s probably worth noting also that the 1.05 level has a lot of noise that extends all the way to the 1.06 level. Because of this, I think you’ve got a situation where a lot of traders are going to be struggling to break out above there, but if we did see the Euro break that level, then you have to have serious discussions as to whether or not the trend has changed.

As things stand right now, I don’t see the EUR/USD pair breaking above there, unless something drastically changes in the United States, because the European Union is starting to see signs of life in Germany and France, but they still have a long way to go as far as monetary policy is concerned. In fact, this is part of the problem with the European Union, you have countries like Spain which will be completely different than countries like Greece or Finland. I would not want the job of setting monetary policy in this scenario.

As things stand right now, I’m more than willing to start fading signs of exhaustion after short-term rallies, and I think ultimately this is a market that will continue to look for a long wick’s to the upside to start shorting again. This is what I’ve been doing for a couple of months, and until something fundamentally changes, or we break above the 1.06 level, there’s no reason to get long of the Euro.

BNB Price Breaks Out with 10% Surge—How Close Is $750?

    By |2025-02-14T03:10:12+02:00February 14, 2025|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

BNB is gaining pace above the $700 resistance level. There was a clear breakout and the price could now aim for a move toward $750.

    BNB Price Regains Bullish Momentum

After facing rejection near the $800 zone, BNB saw a steady decline. There was a move below the $700 and $600 support levels. The bears even pushed the price below $550 before the bulls appeared.

A low was formed near $508 and the price recently started a fresh increase. There was a steady move above the $600 and $620 resistance levels. The bulls pushed the price above the 50% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $745 swing high to the $508 low. There was a clear move above a major bearish trend line with resistance at $688 on the daily chart.

BNB is now up over 20% in the past two days, beating both Bitcoin and Ethereum. The current price action is positive above the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $745 swing high to the $508 low.

It is now attempting an upside break above the $720 resistance level. A clear move and close above the $720 resistance could open the doors for a move toward the $745 high or even $750.

The next major resistance could be near the $790 level or the 1.236 Fib extension level of the downward move from the $745 swing high to the $508 low at $800. A clear move above the $800 resistance might pump the price higher further. In the stated case, the price might test $850.

Recently, Binance shared details of BNB Incubation Alliance to be held on Tuesday, 25 February 2025 at ETHDenver to support and accelerate the growth of early-stage blockchain projects.

    Are Dips Supported?

If BNB price fails to clear the $720 resistance, it might start a downside correction. Immediate support is near the $700 level. The first major support is now forming near the $680 level and the 50-day simple moving average (blue) or the same trend line.

The main support is $650. A daily close below $650 could increase selling pressure. In the stated scenario, BNB price might dive and revisit the $625 support region. If the bulls fail to protect $625, the bears could even aim for a test of $565.

Overall, BNB price is gaining bullish momentum above the $680 and $700 levels. A close above the $720 resistance could send the price toward $750 or even $800.

Crypto NFT Today: February Week 2

    By |2025-02-14T01:43:43+02:00February 14, 2025|News, NFT News|0 Comments

Welcome to another edition of Crypto NFT Today! The past two weeks have been full of must-know events that will define the future of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and NFTs.

With a new report showing crypto scams hitting a new record in 2024, Goldman Sachs expanding its ETH holdings, and more, there’s lots of essential news you should know about. So, let’s dive in and see what’s happening!

Report Shows Crypto Scams Hit New Record in 2024

Crypto fraud revenue is believed to have reached record levels last year, driven by a rise in so-called romance scams, as cybercriminals increasingly use artificial intelligence and become more organized, warns blockchain research firm Chainalysis.

In a report published Thursday, Chainalysis estimated that crypto wallets associated with scams received $9.9 billion in cryptocurrency in 2024. The firm anticipates that this figure will climb to a record $12.4 billion as it identifies more scam-related wallets.

Chainalysis also noted that its annual estimates of scam activity have increased by an average of 24% each year since 2020.

    Goldman Sachs Expands ETF Holdings

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) has expanded its cryptocurrency ETF strategy by acquiring direct holdings in spot Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, as well as options positions, highlighting its increasing focus on digital asset investments.

According to the bank’s most recent 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Goldman raised its total crypto ETF holdings to $2.05 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, up from $744 million in the third quarter. The bank’s Bitcoin ETF holdings reached nearly $1.6 billion, with its largest position being $1.2 billion in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).

Texas Lawmakers Reintroduce Bitcoin Reserve Bill

Texas state lawmakers have reintroduced a bill to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, now known as SB 21, which expands the scope to include investments in additional cryptocurrencies. Senator Charles Schwertner announced the bill on February 12, highlighting that it would make Texas the first state to create such a reserve, potentially fostering innovation and financial freedom.

The new legislation builds upon SB 778, introduced in January, which focused exclusively on Bitcoin. While SB 778 limited the state to purchasing and holding Bitcoin without using it for other purposes, SB 21 widened the scope to allow investments in cryptocurrencies that have maintained a market capitalization of at least $500 billion over the past year. Currently, Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that meets this requirement.

Robinhood Gains Momentum in Crypto Trading

The competition among crypto traders is intensifying as renewed enthusiasm sweeps through the sector, driven by President Donald Trump’s return to the White House. His promise to transform the U.S. into the “crypto capital of the planet” helped propel Bitcoin past $100,000 for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Although Robinhood currently offers fewer tokens for trading than Coinbase, it has been steadily increasing its market share and could see further gains if the Securities and Exchange Commission adopts a more crypto-friendly stance, they added last month.

    Binance Coin (BNB) Surges 12%

Binance Coin (BNB) has posted strong gains despite a broader downturn in the crypto market. In the past 24 hours, it has risen by more than 2% and has gained around 12% over the past week. This comes as major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether have dropped by 1.5% and 1.3%, respectively, following the release of new U.S. inflation data. The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report showed that U.S. consumer prices rose 3% year-over-year in January, up from 2.9% in December. This marks the largest increase since June and exceeds economists’ expectations. On a monthly basis, prices climbed 0.5%, the biggest jump in two years.

GBP/USD Forecast Today 14/02: Faces Resistance (Chart)

    By |2025-02-14T01:13:06+02:00February 14, 2025|Forex News, News|0 Comments

    • During the trading session on Thursday, we have seen the British pound rallied quite significantly, but at this point in time it also looks like we are struggling with the same resistance barrier that we have been dealing with for some time.
    • I think at this point in time, the market will face a lot of noise between the 1.25 level in the 1.26 level above.

At this point, I think you have a situation where traders will continue to pay close attention to the bond market. It looks like interest rates are pulling back a little bit in the United States to weaken the US dollar for the short term, but over the longer term, it’s very likely that we will see the British pound soften a bit. We could see some exhaustion coming back into the market rather soon. However, it’s also worth noting that we are through most of the fundamental announcements for the week, so I think we’ve got a situation where the next day or 2 could tell us a lot. After all, if there is no fundamental reason for the British pound to suddenly weaken or give up some strength, it tells you how weak that Sterling really is.

    On the Other Hand

On the other hand, if we were to continue to go higher and break above the 1.26 level, then we are going to be fighting the 200 Day EMA. The 200 Day EMA is a large technical indicator that a lot of people pay close attention to, and some people even base the entire trend on this indicator. If we were to break above there, then it’s likely that the market could go looking to the 1.2750 level after that.

That being said, I don’t necessarily think we are going to break above there but if we did, that would obviously be a very bullish sign. At that point, I would anticipate that the US dollar is in serious trouble against most currencies, not just the British pound. However, when you look at the chart you can see easily that the market is still for the most part in a consolidation zone, so I think it makes a lot of sense that we fade this rally given enough time.

The Best Fat Burning Supplement Is Actually This Research-Backed Muscle Builder

    By |2025-02-14T01:11:50+02:00February 14, 2025|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Tons of us already take creatine for strength and muscle mass, but as trainer Dan Go shared, it’s also a powerful fat-burning supplement. If you have fat-loss goals this year, creatine should be part of your routine, he says.

“It [creatine] supports fat loss by helping you build and retain muscle, which helps you maintain a healthy metabolism,” Go tweeted.

Go is a fitness coach who specializes in training busy professionals and entrepreneurs. Last week, he shared how he’s been experimenting with max doses of creatine, averaging about 15 grams a day—raking in a lot of creatine-related questions.

“Creatine is a natural substance found in your muscles and brain. It’s made of amino acids and acts as a quick energy booster for your workouts while also having a positive impact on your brain,” he said.

It’s been extensively studied, and shown to enhance athletic performance, helping increase strength and power output, as well as, improving sprint speed and recovery. Go says it also plays a key role in boosting muscle mass, especially when paired with resistance training.

Building muscle has a direct impact on your metabolism because muscle tissue requires more energy to maintain than fat tissue. This means that the more muscle you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate will be.

As a result, your body burns more calories at rest—even when you’re not actively working out—helping support fat loss.

For dosage, Go says to start with five grams per day. If you’re a larger individual, you may need between five and ten grams. However, if you experience stomach discomfort, try reducing the dose to two grams a day and increase as tolerated.

“Be patient—it takes a few weeks to see results,” Go says.
