EUR/JPY Signal Today – 18/11: EUR Tests 200 EMA (Chart)

By |2024-11-18T14:08:05+02:00November 18, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

Potential signal:

I would be a buyer of this pair if we can recapture the ¥164 level. If we get above there, I would put a stop loss at the ¥163 level and aim for the ¥167 level.

  • Dear my daily analysis of the yen related pairs, it’s worth noting that the euro initially did try to rally, but then it plunged.
  • Because of this, we are now testing the 200 Day EMA, which of course is an important indicator that a lot of people will pay attention to for the longer-term, and therefore think you get a situation where if the buyers are going to return, it’s probably going to be fairly soon.
  • All things being equal, this is a fairly ugly candlestick, so it’ll be interesting to see if we can get some of that “mojo back” from the previous move higher.

All things being equal, this is a pair that continues to favor interest rate differentials for the euro, with this being the case, the market is likely to continue to see a lot of people getting involved, as they can get paid at the end of every day to hang on to this pair. Quite frankly, even though the euro itself isn’t necessarily a currency that I liked, it is going to probably fare better than the Japanese yen going forward.

Technical Analysis

The technical analysis for the EUR/JPY currency pair of course suggests that there is a lot of support in this area, as the ¥163 level is an area that we’ve seen a lot of action at previously. That being said, the market is likely to continue to see the area between they are in the ¥162 level as a major “squishy support level.” By doing so, the market is likely to continue to see a lot of value hunters out there trying to get involved, and therefore I think you’ve got a scenario where people will look for a value play to get long again.

If we were to break down below the ¥161 level, then it’s likely that the pair could drop down to the ¥158.50 level, which is an area that we have seen a lot of support at previously. That would be a target for short sellers, but at this point in time I think they will probably be repudiated long before we get to that area.

Ripples XRP Price Prediction – Analysts Positive About XRP Passing the $1 Milestone in the Future

By |2024-11-18T14:05:48+02:00November 18, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

XRP has kept Ripple in the spotlight within the crypto industry, and analysts are growing more optimistic about its short-term future. Many now point to the $1 mark as a critical goal for XRP, signaling a potential comeback for the asset.

Hitting the $1 mark would represent more than just a psychological win for XRP – it could attract institutional investors seeking a stable option in the highly unpredictable cryptocurrency market. This prediction is supported by Ripple’s ongoing efforts to grow its payment solutions and form partnerships with key financial institutions worldwide.

XRP has been making headlines with its strong liquidity and potential market movements, but it’s not the only project capturing attention. PlutoChain ($PLUTO), a groundbreaking initiative, is pushing the boundaries of blockchain technology by enabling DeFi applications and other advanced use cases directly on Bitcoin.

Let’s dive into XRP’s current trends and explore what the future might hold for both $PLUTO and XRP in the blockchain race!

XRP Shows High Liquidity

Looking at XRP since 2022, the market’s been stable with strong signs of solid liquidity. Liquidity allows a spot where buyers and sellers match up nicely, keeping the prices steady.

You can see it in action with XRP – the price stays pretty level because there’s always enough trading happening.

AD 4nXcHWfCKyf42krf16WWml1HogHZ8SbXGowxR67kzKDNZcANRkqb0KoMfbFMd7BrMieySqce ieKqIU06iadMTERju cljsUd1YwmsY7BM7o6Nk6bgMm BDsd0Wj4ruhso3gXGHkJkA?key=sTjzh5WmCsjcSYpF6i04i85u

Based on what we’ve seen, many traders are eyeing 2025 as XRP’s next big moment, fitting the patterns we’ve watched over the years. Here is something interesting – during past U.S. election years, XRP and other cryptos tend to take off high.

Could see the same in 2025. Makes sense when you think about it – lots of people wanting to buy while coins get scarcer usually drives prices up.

Looking at how things are moving now, 2025 might just follow that same path, pushing XRP to some exciting new levels.

XRP Price Predictions for 2025

Although some market predictions indicate very high prices, the forecast in this paper was more modest. Applying historical data, the expert estimated that by 2025, XRP might trade on more than $100.

AD 4nXcWkW4Rc8LfILlbnDqBLm8iKmbwHevltakFUbXzylv4BJ2fbmnbauOr8VzIsgXjRSpCbtiMzEpX3ihii b8JCkDM8xYMDBvDAD 4nXcWkW4Rc8LfILlbnDqBLm8iKmbwHevltakFUbXzylv4BJ2fbmnbauOr8VzIsgXjRSpCbtiMzEpX3ihii b8JCkDM8xYMDBvD

However, the analysis found that such growth need not always be observed within a single bull market cycle. It might take several cycles to get to these higher prices as we have discussed in this section.

For a more conservative forecast, the analyst predicted that the value of the coin could be between $5 and $10 in 2025. This forecast is far less ambitious and depends on the successful outcome of Ripple’s current legal challenge as well as the condition of Ripple’s market demand.

The report therefore called for continued attention to the markets by investors. However, even though the high-end price targets are still more or less speculative, it is possible to find a rational basis for positive assumptions regarding liquidity and market behavior.

The future of XRP particularly in 2025 is to bring in significant returns as an investment for the long-term trader if the trends would follow as seen.

Could XRP Break the 40x Ceiling?

EGRAG has floated an interesting idea about XRP’s potential, suggesting it might climb as high as 50x its current value under the right market conditions. That would put XRP around $14.

While they didn’t make any firm predictions, they did suggest it’s not out of the question.
Of course, these are just possibilities, not guarantees. That said, XRP has been performing strongly in the short term, jumping 19% in the last 24 hours to hit $0.84.

While the rest of the market is cooling off, XRP is standing out as the top performer among the 100 biggest assets.

XRP is successful with its consistent performance, but the blockchain space is evolving fast. PlutoChain ($PLUTO) is taking things further by bringing scalability and new possibilities to Bitcoin.

Could $PLUTO be the next breakthrough in crypto?

PlutoChain($PLUTO) — Unlocking Bitcoin’s Potential Beyond XRP

While XRP is gaining attention for its strong liquidity and market activity, PlutoChain ($PLUTO) is breaking new ground by enabling DeFi applications and even meme coin launches directly on Bitcoin—a flexibility that XRP doesn’t offer.

This innovation positions PlutoChain to attract diverse projects and communities, especially as DeFi continues to grow.

As projects like PlutoChain tap into uncharted territory, their ability to reshape markets is drawing interest from both developers and early adopters. With its unique focus, PlutoChain is already making waves in ways that could improve Bitcoin’s role in the blockchain world.

PlutoChain Seems to Be the Promising Project Unlocking Bitcoin’s Potential

PlutoChain ($PLUTO) is quickly becoming a project to watch, and for good reason. Instead of introducing another standard blockchain, PlutoChain is building a truly innovative Layer 2 solution that brings decentralized finance (DeFi) and much more to Bitcoin.

Currently available in its presale stage at a lower entry point of $0.101 per unit, PlutoChain leverages Bitcoin’s trusted security while enabling entirely new use cases.

11

Security at the Core with Trusted Measures

Security remains the number 1 goal of PlutoChain’s development. The project has partnered with SolidProof, a leading blockchain audit firm, to ensure its protocols meet the highest standards.

22

Beyond the initial audit, PlutoChain employs ongoing smart contract monitoring and advanced encryption to protect users and transactions around the clock. These measures are part of PlutoChain’s mission to set a new benchmark for security and reliability in the crypto world.

3 23 2

Final Thoughts

While XRP faces strong liquidity and market stability, PlutoChain ($PLUTO) offers some unique advantages with the potential for creating great buzz after their mainnet launch. Unlike XRP, PlutoChain brings DeFi and advanced applications to Bitcoin through its innovative Layer 2 solution.

With EVM compatibility, PlutoChain integrates Ethereum-based applications seamlessly, unlocking Bitcoin’s full potential in ways XRP cannot.

Now in presale at a lower entry point of $0.101, PlutoChain presents an early-stage opportunity to join a project redefining Bitcoin’s capabilities. Its focus on utility and scalability positions it as a standout in the blockchain sphere, with some impressive growth potential on the table.

Pound Sterling recovery could remain limited unless risk mood improves

    By |2024-11-18T12:06:10+02:00November 18, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

    • GBP/USD holds steady above 1.2600 to start the new week.
    • The pair closed the previous six trading days in negative territory.
    • The technical picture is yet to point to a buildup of recovery momentum.

GBP/USD registered six consecutive daily losses and fell over 2% in the previous week. The pair holds steady above 1.2600 in the European morning on Monday but the technical picture doesn’t yet point to a buildup of recovery momentum.

British Pound PRICE Last 7 days

The table below shows the percentage change of British Pound (GBP) against listed major currencies last 7 days. British Pound was the weakest against the US Dollar.

USD EUR GBP JPY CAD AUD NZD CHF
    USD   1.61% 2.36% 1.32% 1.40% 1.94% 1.95% 1.23%
    EUR -1.61%   0.71% -0.18% -0.10% 0.41% 0.43% -0.28%

    JPY -1.32% 0.18% 0.96%   0.07% 0.51% 0.70% -0.10%
    CAD -1.40% 0.10% 0.79% -0.07%   0.58% 0.52% -0.19%
    AUD -1.94% -0.41% 0.29% -0.51% -0.58%   -0.01% -0.66%
    NZD -1.95% -0.43% 0.30% -0.70% -0.52% 0.00%   -0.72%
    CHF -1.23% 0.28% 1.00% 0.10% 0.19% 0.66% 0.72%

The heat map shows percentage changes of major currencies against each other. The base currency is picked from the left column, while the quote currency is picked from the top row. For example, if you pick the British Pound from the left column and move along the horizontal line to the US Dollar, the percentage change displayed in the box will represent GBP (base)/USD (quote).

The broad-based US Dollar (USD) strength weighed heavily on GBP/USD last week. Hawkish comments from Federal Reserve (Fed) officials and the inflation data from the US, which showed that the annual core Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 3.3% in October, helped the USD outperform its rivals.

Meanwhile, the UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported on Friday that the UK’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded by 0.1% on a quarterly basis in the third quarter. This reading missed the market expectation for a 0.2% growth and didn’t allow GBP/USD to gain traction ahead of the weekend.

In the absence of high-tier data releases, investors could react to changes in risk perception on Monday. At the time of press, US stock index futures were trading mixed. In case Wall Street’s main indexes start the week on a bearish note amid escalating geopolitical tensions, GBP/USD could have a hard time holding its ground.

Over the weekend, CNN News reported that US President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use powerful long-range American weapons to strike inside Russia. Reporting on the matter, “the change comes largely in response to Russia’s deployment of North Korean ground troops to supplement its own forces, a development that has caused alarm in Washington and Kyiv,” Reuters said.

In the early trading hours of the American session, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee will be delivering a speech. According to the CME FedWatch Tool, markets are currently pricing in a nearly 40% probability of the Fed holding the policy rate unchanged at the December meeting. If Goolsbee adopts a cautious tone regarding another rate cut before the end of the year, GBP/USD could come under renewed bearish pressure.

    GBP/USD Technical Analysis

GBP/USD was last seen trading near the upper limit of the 10-day-old descending regression channel at around 1.2630. In case the pair starts using this level as support, sellers could remain on the sidelines. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator on the 4-hour chart remains below 40, suggesting that even if the pair rises, it would be considered as a technical correction rather than a reversal.

Above 1.2630, the 20-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) could act as next resistance at 1.2670 before 1.2700 (round level, static level). On the downside, 1.2580 (mid-point of the descending channel) could be seen as first support before 1.2530 (lower limit of the descending channel) and 1.2500 (round level).

    Pound Sterling FAQs

The Pound Sterling (GBP) is the oldest currency in the world (886 AD) and the official currency of the United Kingdom. It is the fourth most traded unit for foreign exchange (FX) in the world, accounting for 12% of all transactions, averaging $630 billion a day, according to 2022 data. Its key trading pairs are GBP/USD, also known as ‘Cable’, which accounts for 11% of FX, GBP/JPY, or the ‘Dragon’ as it is known by traders (3%), and EUR/GBP (2%). The Pound Sterling is issued by the Bank of England (BoE).

The single most important factor influencing the value of the Pound Sterling is monetary policy decided by the Bank of England. The BoE bases its decisions on whether it has achieved its primary goal of “price stability” – a steady inflation rate of around 2%. Its primary tool for achieving this is the adjustment of interest rates. When inflation is too high, the BoE will try to rein it in by raising interest rates, making it more expensive for people and businesses to access credit. This is generally positive for GBP, as higher interest rates make the UK a more attractive place for global investors to park their money. When inflation falls too low it is a sign economic growth is slowing. In this scenario, the BoE will consider lowering interest rates to cheapen credit so businesses will borrow more to invest in growth-generating projects.

Data releases gauge the health of the economy and can impact the value of the Pound Sterling. Indicators such as GDP, Manufacturing and Services PMIs, and employment can all influence the direction of the GBP. A strong economy is good for Sterling. Not only does it attract more foreign investment but it may encourage the BoE to put up interest rates, which will directly strengthen GBP. Otherwise, if economic data is weak, the Pound Sterling is likely to fall.

Another significant data release for the Pound Sterling is the Trade Balance. This indicator measures the difference between what a country earns from its exports and what it spends on imports over a given period. If a country produces highly sought-after exports, its currency will benefit purely from the extra demand created from foreign buyers seeking to purchase these goods. Therefore, a positive net Trade Balance strengthens a currency and vice versa for a negative balance.

Dogecoin Price Prediction: DOGE To See $0.20 Again Before New Highs, Holders Are Hedging Bets With This Altcoin

    By |2024-11-18T12:04:01+02:00November 18, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

After experiencing a massive surge in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential victory, Dogecoin (DOGE) has retraced and is currently consolidating on lower levels. Will Dogecoin’s rally continue or will it experience further disruption before picking up speed again?

According to some, Dogecoin is in for a steeper correction first, and investors are already hedging their positions in case of a breakdown. Many holders are rotating profits into low-cap projects that could yield bigger gains, such as DeFi platform Rollblock, which is already making waves with its viral presale.

    Why Dogecoin Could Retest $0.20

Trump’s victory has reinvigorated the Dogecoin (DOGE) community. Not only the President-elect has been a vocal supporter of crypto in general, but Dogecoin’s most famous champion, Elon Musk will be tasked to lead the newly-founded Department Of Government Efficiency, with the convenient acronym — DOGE. At this point, it’s very clear what the future has in store for Dogecoin, however, in the short term, the picture is slightly less rosy.

Over the last day, Dogecoin saw a 4% decrease, with its price sitting at $0.36. Dogecoin’s volume has also taken a 30% hit with about $12.4 billion worth of DOGE traded on exchanges. Analyst Master Kenobi has shared on X a thorough analysis of Dogecoin’s current standing in the market. He highlighted that Dogecoin is potentially repeating a chart pattern seen in late 2020, pointing out that before the next leg up, Dogecoin could revisit the crucial $0.20 support.

Rollblock’s Continuous Growth Is A Safe Haven Amid Increased Volatility

The $450 billion industry is increasingly migrating online and community-backed Web3 Rollblock could disrupt the entire space with its ground-breaking platform. By merging centralized and decentralized aspects, Rollblock seeks to provide a high-end experience secured by Ethereum’s tried and tested blockchain. This means near-instantaneous transactions that are immune to tampering since all the information is immutably inscribed on the blockchain.

To cement its commitment to security and user trust, Rollblock has been thoroughly audited by SolidProof making it compliant with the latest regulations. Over 20,000 players are already enjoying the 7,000-game catalog, which includes a wide array of titles, from classics to live games, and even AI-enhanced games. Furthermore, Rollblock is set to further expanding its services.

But Rollblock is more than just another run-of-the-mill crypto platform, as it also plays the role of an investment vehicle, thanks to the unique revenue-sharing system powered by the $RBLK token. On a weekly basis, the platform will reinvest up to 30% of its revenue to perform open-market buybacks of the $RBLK token. Of this amount, 40% is distributed to holders as recurring staking rewards. The remaining 60% is fed into a burn mechanism, reducing the total supply and allowing RBLK to rise sustainably as the cycle progresses.

Right now, RBLK is priced at just $0.035, and more than $5.4 million has been raised in the ongoing presale. By the end of the event, an 800% increase is expected and once $RBLK is listed on all major exchanges, it could vastly outperform the rest of the market and see a massive 100x price multiplier. Taking action today could be one of the best moves of 2025. Don’t miss out! For a limited time RollBlock Tokens are available with a 50% Bonus, providing the perfect opportunity to acquire $RLBK!

Cocoa may protect against negative effects of fatty foods when stressed – study

    By |2024-11-18T10:26:10+02:00November 18, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Having a cup of cocoa or green tea could protect you from the negative effects of fatty comfort foods during times of stress, new research suggests.

Experts say the food choices people make when stressed can influence the effect this tension has on heart health.

But now a small study has found that drinking cocoa (the key ingredient in chocolate) high in flavanols with a fatty meal can mitigate some of the impact the food has on the body.

Flavanols are compounds found in some foods and drinks, like apples and tea, and are considered to have a range of different benefits, including being good for regulating blood pressure and protecting cardiovascular health.

For people who are likely to reach for a fat-rich treat when stressed, or because it is quick or convenient, adding a cup of minimally processed cocoa or green tea “could make a real difference” in their health.

Dr Catarina Rendeiro, assistant professor in nutritional sciences at the University of Birmingham, and leading author, said: “We know that when people are stressed, they tend to gravitate towards high-fat foods.

“We have previously shown that fatty food can impair the body’s vascular recovery from stress.

“In this study, we wanted to see if adding a high-flavanol food to the fatty meal would alleviate the negative impact of stress in the body.”

Jet Veldhuijzen van Zanten, professor of biological psychology at the University of Birmingham, and author of the study, added: “Modern life is stressful and the impact of stress on our health and the economy has been well documented, so any changes we can make to protect ourselves from some of the symptoms of stress is positive.

“For those who tend to reach for a treat when stressed or depend on convenient food because they work high-pressure jobs or are time-poor, incorporating some of these small changes could make a real difference.”
In a previous study, the Birmingham researchers found that high-fat foods can negatively affect the function of blood vessels and oxygen delivery to the brain, while flavanols – found in abundance in cocoa and green tea – can protect this function during periods of everyday stress.

Dr Catarina Rendeiro, assistant professor in nutritional sciences at the University of Birmingham, added: “This research shows that drinking or eating a food high in flavanols can be used as a strategy to mitigate some of the impact of poorer food choices on the vascular system.

“This can help us make more informed decisions about what we eat and drink during stressful periods.” For the study, researchers gave 23 healthy adults two butter croissants with 10g salted butter, 1.5 slices of cheddar cheese and 250ml whole milk for breakfast, and either a high-flavanol cocoa or a low-flavanol cocoa drink.

After an eight-minute rest period, the group was asked to complete a mental maths test which increased in speed for eight minutes, alerting them when they got an answer wrong During the rest and test, scientists measured blood flow in the forearm, heart activity and oxygen in the body.

They found that the stress task-induced significant increases in heart rate and blood pressure – similar to the stress that may be encountered in daily life.

The researchers also found that eating fatty foods with the low-flavanol drink when stressed reduced blood vessel function, and lasted up to 90 minutes after the stressful event was over.

However, a study published in the journal Food And Function found that cocoa drinks high in flavanols prevented the decline in blood vessel function following stress and fat consumption.

The experts say that people should be looking for minimally processed cocoa powder in the supermarkets, and if cocoa is not quite your beverage of choice, there are other ways you can get a higher dose of flavanols, such as green tea, black tea and berries.

Euro finds support but remains vulnerable

    By |2024-11-18T10:05:28+02:00November 18, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

    • EUR/USD trades near 1.0550 following previous week’s sharp decline.
    • The pair remains technically bearish in the short term despite stabilizing.
    • ECB President Lagarde will deliver a speech later in the day.

EUR/USD managed to find a foothold on Friday but still lost nearly 1.7% in the previous week. The pair stays in a consolidation phase to begin the new week and trades at around 1.0550.

    Euro PRICE Last 7 days

The table below shows the percentage change of Euro (EUR) against listed major currencies last 7 days. Euro was the weakest against the US Dollar.

USD EUR GBP JPY CAD AUD NZD CHF

    CHF -1.29% 0.30% 0.91% 0.02% 0.13% 0.64% 0.64%

The heat map shows percentage changes of major currencies against each other. The base currency is picked from the left column, while the quote currency is picked from the top row. For example, if you pick the Euro from the left column and move along the horizontal line to the US Dollar, the percentage change displayed in the box will represent EUR (base)/USD (quote).

Hawkish comments from Federal Reserve (Fed) officials caused investors to reassess the probability of one more 25 basis points rate cut in December last week, providing a boost to the US Dollar (USD) and weighing heavily on EUR/USD.

Monday’s economic calendar will not offer any high-impact data releases that could impact EUR/USD’s action. Hence, market participants will pay close attention to comments from central bank officials.

In the early American session, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee will be delivering a speech. Speaking on the policy outlook on Friday, “I don’t like tying our hands,” Goolsbee said and added that they still have more data to come before deciding on the December policy decision. Later in the day, European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde will deliver a speech titled “The Economic and Human Issues of a Changing Era” at an event organized by The Collège des Bernardins in Paris, France.

Meanwhile, investors will also keep an eye on geopolitical headlines.

US stock index futures trade marginally higher in the European morning but investors could seek refuge in case geopolitical tensions escalate further. A bearish opening in US stocks could help the USD regather its strength in the second half of the day.

    EUR/USD Technical Analysis

EUR/USD seems to have stabilized following the previous week’s decline but the technical outlook remains bearish. The pair trades within the descending regression channel and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator stays below 50.

On the downside, 1.0500 (mid-point of the descending channel) aligns as first support before 1.0440 (lower limit of the descending channel). Looking north, first resistance could be spotted at 1.0570 (upper limit of the descending channel) ahead of 1.0600 (round level) and 1.0650 (50-period Simple Moving Average).

    Euro FAQs

The Euro is the currency for the 19 European Union countries that belong to the Eurozone. It is the second most heavily traded currency in the world behind the US Dollar. In 2022, it accounted for 31% of all foreign exchange transactions, with an average daily turnover of over $2.2 trillion a day. EUR/USD is the most heavily traded currency pair in the world, accounting for an estimated 30% off all transactions, followed by EUR/JPY (4%), EUR/GBP (3%) and EUR/AUD (2%).

The European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, Germany, is the reserve bank for the Eurozone. The ECB sets interest rates and manages monetary policy. The ECB’s primary mandate is to maintain price stability, which means either controlling inflation or stimulating growth. Its primary tool is the raising or lowering of interest rates. Relatively high interest rates – or the expectation of higher rates – will usually benefit the Euro and vice versa. The ECB Governing Council makes monetary policy decisions at meetings held eight times a year. Decisions are made by heads of the Eurozone national banks and six permanent members, including the President of the ECB, Christine Lagarde.

Eurozone inflation data, measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), is an important econometric for the Euro. If inflation rises more than expected, especially if above the ECB’s 2% target, it obliges the ECB to raise interest rates to bring it back under control. Relatively high interest rates compared to its counterparts will usually benefit the Euro, as it makes the region more attractive as a place for global investors to park their money.

Data releases gauge the health of the economy and can impact on the Euro. Indicators such as GDP, Manufacturing and Services PMIs, employment, and consumer sentiment surveys can all influence the direction of the single currency. A strong economy is good for the Euro. Not only does it attract more foreign investment but it may encourage the ECB to put up interest rates, which will directly strengthen the Euro. Otherwise, if economic data is weak, the Euro is likely to fall. Economic data for the four largest economies in the euro area (Germany, France, Italy and Spain) are especially significant, as they account for 75% of the Eurozone’s economy.

Another significant data release for the Euro is the Trade Balance. This indicator measures the difference between what a country earns from its exports and what it spends on imports over a given period. If a country produces highly sought after exports then its currency will gain in value purely from the extra demand created from foreign buyers seeking to purchase these goods. Therefore, a positive net Trade Balance strengthens a currency and vice versa for a negative balance.

Solana, Cardano & Ethereum – Asia Wrap 18 November

    By |2024-11-18T10:02:59+02:00November 18, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Solana (SOL) made the rounds across crypto communities on Friday as key executives from VanEck and BlackRock gave contrasting views on the possibility of a SOL exchange-traded fund (ETF) launching in the US.

Cardano (ADA) is up 18% on Friday following rumors of the federal government leveraging its blockchain to build a blockchain-based election voting system. ADA has also seen increased attention from bulls, as its exchange net flows and open interest reveal increased buying pressure among investors.

Ethereum (ETH) is trading near the $3,000 psychological level on Friday, as its rising exchange reserve and declining network fees hint at potential reasons for its recent price decline. If ETH bounces off the $2,817 support level, it could break out of its recent decline and stage a 60% rally.

XAG/USD climbs to $30.70 area; not out of the woods yet

    By |2024-11-18T09:44:28+02:00November 18, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

    • Silver kicks off the new week on a positive note, though the upside potential seems limited.
    • The technical setup supports prospects for the emergence of fresh selling at higher levels.
    • A sustained strength beyond the $31.00 mark is needed to negate the negative outlook.

Silver (XAG/USD) regains positive traction at the start of a new week and climbs to the $30.70-$30.75 area during the Asian session, albeit it remains confined in a multi-day-old range around the 100-day Simple Moving Average (SMA).

The XAG/USD last week rebounded from the $29.70-$29.65 support zone, representing the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level of the August-October rally. Moreover, the emergence of fresh buying on Monday favors bullish traders. That said, technical indicators on the daily chart are holding in negative territory and are still away from being in the oversold zone. Hence, any subsequent move up is more likely to confront stiff resistance and remain capped near the $31.00 round-figure mark.

Some follow-through buying, however, will suggest that the recent corrective fall from the vicinity of the $35.00 psychological mark, or a 12-year peak touched in October, has run its course and pave the way for additional gains. The XAG/USD might then climb to the next relevant hurdle near the $31.70 area (38.2% Fibo. level) before aiming to reclaim the $32.00 round figure.

On the flip side, the $30.20 region, followed by the $30.00 psychological mark could act as immediate support ahead of the $29.70-$29.65 area, or a two-month low touched on Friday. A convincing break below the latter will be seen as a fresh trigger for bearish traders and drag the XAG/USD below the $29.00 mark, towards the very important 200-day SMA support near the $28.80-$28.75 zone en route to the $28.40-$28.35 region, or the 78.6% Fibo. level.

    Silver FAQs

Silver is a precious metal highly traded among investors. It has been historically used as a store of value and a medium of exchange. Although less popular than Gold, traders may turn to Silver to diversify their investment portfolio, for its intrinsic value or as a potential hedge during high-inflation periods. Investors can buy physical Silver, in coins or in bars, or trade it through vehicles such as Exchange Traded Funds, which track its price on international markets.

Silver prices can move due to a wide range of factors. Geopolitical instability or fears of a deep recession can make Silver price escalate due to its safe-haven status, although to a lesser extent than Gold’s. As a yieldless asset, Silver tends to rise with lower interest rates. Its moves also depend on how the US Dollar (USD) behaves as the asset is priced in dollars (XAG/USD). A strong Dollar tends to keep the price of Silver at bay, whereas a weaker Dollar is likely to propel prices up. Other factors such as investment demand, mining supply – Silver is much more abundant than Gold – and recycling rates can also affect prices.

Silver is widely used in industry, particularly in sectors such as electronics or solar energy, as it has one of the highest electric conductivity of all metals – more than Copper and Gold. A surge in demand can increase prices, while a decline tends to lower them. Dynamics in the US, Chinese and Indian economies can also contribute to price swings: for the US and particularly China, their big industrial sectors use Silver in various processes; in India, consumers’ demand for the precious metal for jewellery also plays a key role in setting prices.

Silver prices tend to follow Gold’s moves. When Gold prices rise, Silver typically follows suit, as their status as safe-haven assets is similar. The Gold/Silver ratio, which shows the number of ounces of Silver needed to equal the value of one ounce of Gold, may help to determine the relative valuation between both metals. Some investors may consider a high ratio as an indicator that Silver is undervalued, or Gold is overvalued. On the contrary, a low ratio might suggest that Gold is undervalued relative to Silver.

David Beckham Launches Longevity-supporting Supplement Brand IM8

    By |2024-11-18T08:25:03+02:00November 18, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

David Beckham is ready to score big with supplements.

“The dream was to create one product that actually does it all,” the soccer legend said, phoning in from London fresh off a trip to Singapore.

On Monday, he’s doing just that by launching his supplement company IM8, available at IM8health.com in 31 countries, developed by health sciences company Prenetics. (Beckham is a cofounding partner of Prenetics.)

“The brand means I am and eight, if you flip it around, means longevity and infinite possibilities,” explained Prenetics and IM8 chief executive officer Danny Yeung.

The line includes Daily Ultimate Essentials, $79 for subscription or $99 for one-time purchase, a drink formula with 92 nutrients for overall health support, and Daily Ultimate Longevity, $75 for subscription and $95 for one-time purchase, a capsule to boost NAD+ levels for healthier aging. The duo also comes together in The Beckham Stack, $129 for subscription or $159 for one-time purchase. The red branding is a nod to one of Beckham’s former football clubs Manchester United.

According to Yeung, he and Beckham were connected via a mutual friend.

“[Prenetics has] been around for the last 10 years. We started off doing genetic testing [and] biotechnology. We were very instrumental during the COVID-19 period of time where we did all the PCR testing for the Premier League, Hong Kong airports and community centers,” Yeung said. “Our background in that, in the science, and also the work that we’re doing in early cancer detection intrigued David.”

For Prenetics, this partnership was a way to break into the consumer space. In addition to the Prenetics team, the IM8 products are developed with support from the brand’s scientific advisory board, including Mayo Clinic oncologist Dr. Dawn Mussallem; former NASA chief scientist Dr. James Green; Cedars-Sinai microbiome expert Professor Suzanne Devkota; preventative medicine and nutrition expert Dr. David Katz; University of Florida aging and physiology expert Professor Stephen Anton; cardiovascular research scientist Dr. James Dinicolantonio, and University of Connecticut nutritional sciences expert Professor Ock K. Chun.

While Beckham has fronted campaigns across industries, including fashion as a Boss ambassador, he hasn’t been known to tout many wellness brands, making this a significant partnership.

“There’s been so many brands that have wanted to work with him,” Yeung said. “He’s rejected them all, and this is a very unique opportunity for us.”

The brand also aligns well with Beckham’s background as a professional athlete.

“As a former athlete, caring about the health side is obviously something that has been a huge part of my life for a long time,” he said. “We always were either given supplements or advice on what supplements to take, but obviously, since my retirement, I don’t have that…I’ve always taken supplements and vitamins, and I’m very aware of how confusing the space is.”

Without this level of professional attention, Beckham was seeking an all-in-one solution that was easy to remember taking, noting that his wife Victoria Beckham often says he’s always forgetting to take his supplements. For Beckham, IM8 is the perfect solution, as the brand claims its Daily Ultimate Essentials product replaces 16 different supplements. It’s also a mixable, açai and mixed berry flavor drink powder.

Daily Ultimate Essentials includes 92 nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, superfoods, greens, fruits, adaptogens, pre-, pro- and post-biotics and the brand’s patent-pending Cell Rejuvenation Technology 8, made up of seaweed extracts, berberine, trans-resveratrol, urolithin A, algae powder and spermidine, all known for their longevity benefits. There are also clinical doses of CoQ10 for heart health and MSM for joint health.

“It gives you eight key benefits: energy; immunity; heart health; joint and muscle [health]; digestion, skin, hair, nail [health]; hydration, [and] brain health,” Yeung said.

Beckham, who says he always travels with the product, added: “I’ve been taking it now for a good few months. My energy levels have completely changed in a good way. My focus, which is not always great, throughout the day is so much stronger.”

It’s not just Beckham who has seen results. The brand tapped San Francisco Research Institute to conduct a 12-week randomized clinical trial with 60 participants that showed most people experienced a significant improvement in daily energy, physical endurance, hair, skin and nail health, and digestion.

While Daily Essentials is the brand’s hero product, IM8 is also launching with its Daily Ultimate Longevity capsule.

“That’s going to be product for individuals that [are] 35 to 40 [and] above. You’re getting up there and so you just need a little bit more help in terms of aging support,” said Yeung, adding that the brand will eventually have additional stock keeping units, though the assortment will remain highly curated. “We’re looking to research sports nutrition.

For Beckham and the IM8 team, tapping into his platform and large following will be crucial. Beckham has been known to showcase his wellness routine on social media, particularly his sauna and cold plunge ritual at his country home.

“My wife and my friends laugh at me a lot. When I go down to my house in the countryside at the weekends, I’m either in the sauna or the cold tub doing ice baths. They’re like, ‘Well, you can do it, but you don’t have to show everyone,’” he joked. “But people want to see it.”

In addition to Beckham, the brand has also tapped an array of creators in the health and wellness space, including pro athletes, with a combined following of more than 35 million followers to promote the brand. IM8 will also host live events to introduce the product to more people.

While Yeung couldn’t comment on specific sales figures, as Prenetics is a public company, he said: “The vitamin [and] dietary supplement space is globally a $170 billion opportunity, $40 billion of that is in the U.S. market. I do believe IM8 can itself, in the next three to five years, be a multibillion-dollar brand.”

When asked where he hopes the brand is one year from now, Beckham said: “The ultimate goal [is that] it improves people’s lives, and they feel better through this supplement.”
