Euro Forecast to Reach Parity Against Dollar

By |2024-11-13T10:52:36+02:00November 13, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

The Euro to Dollar exchange rate (EUR/USD) could be on course to hit the 1:1 marker, according to an increasing number of analysts. Others say such talk is overblown.

“The sell-side researchers are upgrading the USD across the board. The EUR/USD calls are getting the most attention, with many calling for a move to parity for EUR/USD,” says W. Brad Bechtel, Global Head of FX at Jefferies.

EUR/USD entered a downtrend in October, with the selloff intensifying following the unexpectedly strong showing of Donald Trump and the Republicans in the November 05 vote.

Trump wants to raise tariffs on U.S. imports, which will hit exporter economies, such as that of the Eurozone. At the same time, Germany’s ruling coalition has collapsed, and Europe’s largest economy now faces a winter of political uncertainty ahead of a February election.

“In sum, if the Trump agenda is implemented in full force and quickly without a countervailing policy response from Europe or China, we could see EUR/USD drop through parity to 0.95 cents or even below,” says George Saravelos, Global co-Head of FX Research at Deutsche Bank.

Trump said he wants to place a 10% global import tariff on all imports to the U.S., with a 60% tariff reserved for China.

The U.S. is the Eurozone’s main export market for manufactured goods, while any economic hit to China from tariffs will also impact another crucial market.

“The euro has suffered more than most in the wake of Trump’s victory and we doubt that will let up anytime soon. Given our view that tariffs will be imposed next year and the ECB will ease by more than investors expect, we forecast the euro to slide to parity against the greenback by the end of 2025,” says James Reilly, Senior Markets Economist at Capital Economics.

Deutsche Bank says that for EUR/USD to go below parity, a number of negative scenarios must play out in Europe and China, in addition to a strong set of USD-supportive developments.

Investment bank EUR/USD consensus forecasts: The end-2024 and 2025 guide from Corpay has been released. Featuring the median, mean, high and low points forecasted by over 30 investment banks. Please request a copy here.

EUR/USD at 0.95 “would be an overshoot that takes the real trade-weighted dollar to record highs, exceeding the Volcker period. A more balanced approach to the various scenarios would suggest a EUR/USD drop to 1.00 that matches the dollar’s historical record highs but does not exceed it,” explains Saravelos.

Trump has far more experience going into his second term and is keen to hit the ground running, meaning he will be fast to deliver on his agenda.

It appears euro exchange rates came under pressure on Monday as Trump announced a series of ‘hawkish’ appointments to top positions, with analysts saying he is filling his top team with people who share his view on China and global trade.

This means he was not bluffing with his ‘hawkish’ trade agenda.

“The Dollar is rising almost exactly in line with what it did after the 2016 election. This is – so far – a conventional Dollar move driven by expectations of fiscal easing, the impact on growth and thus rate differentials. If tariffs come, this Dollar rise will get MUCH bigger,” says Robin Brooks, Senior Fellow at Brookings Institute and previously the Chief Economist at the IIF and Chief FX Strategist at Goldman Sachs.

However, other analysts are not convinced and say it is too soon to talk about parity in the Euro-Dollar.

“EUR/USD parity? Not so fast,” says Valentin Marinov, Head of G10 FX Strategy at Crédit Agricole.

Crédit Agricole acknowledges that Trump’s victory and the growing chances for a ‘red sweep’ in the U.S. Congress have added to the downside risks to their current EUR/USD forecasts.

However, there are reasons why this might not happen. These include the fact that markets have already made significant adjustments to the outlook of relative interest rate policy in the Eurozone and the U.S.

“Investors have pared back some of their Fed easing bets while pricing in very aggressive ECB rate cuts ahead, which suggests that many negatives are in the price of EUR/USD,” says Marinov.

Furthermore, Marinov explains that U.S. tariffs could add to headwinds for growth but also fuel imported inflation in the Eurozone if EUR weakens further and the EU retaliates against the U.S., which could slow down the ECB easing cycle.

A potential boost to the Eurozone, according to Crédit Agricole, could come if Trump succeeds in his stated aim of ending the Ukraine war.

“All of these considerations would argue for more muted EUR/USD losses from here,” says Marinov.

Cardano (ADA) Price Prediction for This Week

By |2024-11-13T10:47:26+02:00November 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

ADA took the market by storm after rallying 88% in a week.

Key Support levels: $0.60

Key Resistance levels: $0.70, $0.80

1. Buyers Return with a Vengeance

Nothing appears to stop ADA’s rally. It broke one resistance after another and is now found at 62 cents, almost double the price compared to early November! This performance is impressive and comes after ADA’s founder disclosed his plans to work with the US government on crypto-related policy.

Chart by TradingView

2. Strong Rally Without any Pullbacks

The rally that started on November 5th continued until today with no relevant pullbacks. This saw the price make sustained gains for over a week. Whatever selling took place only paused the rally for a short moment. At the time of this post, ADA is above 60 cents, which acts as support.

3. Buy Volume Explodes

A quick look at the volume shows that the last time Cardano saw such buy pressure was in the 2021 bull market. This is great news as it gives a strong bullish signal to the market. If this is sustained, then this cryptocurrency has a good chance to break even higher later on, with 70 cents and 80 cents as key targets.

BTC, ETH and XRP could face pullbacks

By |2024-11-13T08:45:16+02:00November 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

  • Bitcoin price declines and shows a high chance of a pullback after reaching a new all-time high of $89,900.
  • Ethereum faces rejection around its weekly level of $3,454, indicating bearish momentum ahead.
  • Ripple declines as it retests a crucial resistance level, suggesting a correction ahead.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) trade in the red on Tuesday following strong rallies since last week, driven by crypto-friendly candidate Donald Trump’s election victory. Technical indicators now suggest a normal correction for all three coins may be ahead.

Bitcoin bulls show signs of exhaustion

Bitcoin price reached a new all-time of $89,980 on Tuesday after rallying seven consecutive green candlesticks since November 5, suggesting the rally may be overstretched. At the time of writing on Wednesday, it trades slightly down around $87,500.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) also stands at 80, well above its overbought level of 70. It points downwards, signaling increasing risk. Traders should exercise caution when adding to their long positions, as a move out of the overbought territory by the RSI could provide a clear sign of a pullback.

If BTC faces a corrective pullback, it could decline 10% from its current position and retest its $78,807 support level.

BTC/USDT daily chart

Conversely, if the bulls continue the upward momentum, the rally could extend to retest its 241.40% Fibonacci extension level at $99,887, drawn from July’s high of $70,079 to August’s low of $49,000.

Ethereum price is poised for a decline as it faces rejection from key level

Ethereum price retested its daily support at around $2,342 on November 5 and surged over 40% until Monday. Such a massive rally could lead to a pullback. As of Tuesday, it retested the weekly resistance level at $3,454 and declined 3.79%. At the time of writing on Wednesday, it continues to decline slightly down to around $3,200.

The RSI indicator on the daily chart supports Ethereum’s decline. It reads 69, pointing downwards, exiting from its overbought value of 70, indicating bullish momentum is losing strength.

If ETH faces a pullback, it could decline around 6% from its current position and retest its psychologically important $3,000 level.

ETH/USDT daily chart

ETH/USDT daily chart

However, If ETH breaks and closes above the weekly resistance at $3,454, it will rally to retest its psychologically important $4,000 level.

Ripple price could face  pullback following rejection off  key resistance

Ripple price broke the daily resistance level of $0.544 on November 7 and rallied over 27% until Tuesday. When writing the article on Wednesday, it retested a March 11 high of $0.744 and faced rejection, starting to decline to trade around $0.671.

If XRP continues to decline, it could extend the decline to retest its crucial daily support at $0.626.

The RSI also stands at 73, well above its overbought threshold of 70. It points downwards, signaling increasing risk. Traders should exercise caution when adding to their long positions, as a move out of the overbought territory by the RSI could provide a clear sign of a pullback.

On the other hand, if the XRP breaks and closes above $0.744, it could extend the rally to retest its resistance level at $0.854.

XAG/USD climbs closer to $31.00 mark, upside potential seems limited

By |2024-11-13T08:39:00+02:00November 13, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • Silver moves further away from over a one-month trough touched on Tuesday.
  • The technical setup warrants some caution before positioning for further gains.
  • Any further move up could be seen as a selling opportunity and remain capped.

Silver (XAG/USD) builds on the previous day’s bounce from the $30.20-$30.15 area, or its lowest level since October 8 and gains some follow-through positive traction during the Asian session on Wednesday. The momentum lifts the white metal back closer to the $31.00 mark in the last hour, though the technical setup warrants some caution before positioning for any further gains.

Given that the XAG/USD showed resilience below the 100-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) on Tuesday, the recovery could be attributed to short-covering amid some repositioning ahead of the US inflation figures. That said, oscillators on the daily chart have been gaining negative traction and are still away from being in the oversold zone. This, in turn, suggests that any further move up could be seen as a selling opportunity and runs the risk of fizzling out rather quickly.

The momentum, however, could extend further towards the next relevant hurdle near the $31.60-$31.65 region, though is more likely to remain capped near the $32.00 round figure. The latter should act as a key pivotal point, which if cleared decisively will indicate that the recent corrective slide from the vicinity of the $35.00 psychological mark, or a 12-year high touched in October has run its course. This would shift the bias in favor of bulls and pave the way for additional gains.

On the flip side, the $30.60 area, or the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the August-October rally, now seems to protect the immediate downside. This is followed by over a one-month low, around the $30.20-$30.15 region touched on Tuesday and the $30.00 psychological mark. Acceptance below the latter will confirm a near-term breakdown below the 100-day SMA and make the XAG/USD vulnerable to accelerate the fall further towards the 61.8% Fibo. level, near the $29.65-$29.60 region.

The downward trajectory could extend further towards the $29.00 mark before the XAG/USD eventually drops to the next relevant support near the $28.75 region en route to the mid-$28.00s.

Silver daily chart

Silver FAQs

Silver is a precious metal highly traded among investors. It has been historically used as a store of value and a medium of exchange. Although less popular than Gold, traders may turn to Silver to diversify their investment portfolio, for its intrinsic value or as a potential hedge during high-inflation periods. Investors can buy physical Silver, in coins or in bars, or trade it through vehicles such as Exchange Traded Funds, which track its price on international markets.

Silver prices can move due to a wide range of factors. Geopolitical instability or fears of a deep recession can make Silver price escalate due to its safe-haven status, although to a lesser extent than Gold’s. As a yieldless asset, Silver tends to rise with lower interest rates. Its moves also depend on how the US Dollar (USD) behaves as the asset is priced in dollars (XAG/USD). A strong Dollar tends to keep the price of Silver at bay, whereas a weaker Dollar is likely to propel prices up. Other factors such as investment demand, mining supply – Silver is much more abundant than Gold – and recycling rates can also affect prices.

Silver is widely used in industry, particularly in sectors such as electronics or solar energy, as it has one of the highest electric conductivity of all metals – more than Copper and Gold. A surge in demand can increase prices, while a decline tends to lower them. Dynamics in the US, Chinese and Indian economies can also contribute to price swings: for the US and particularly China, their big industrial sectors use Silver in various processes; in India, consumers’ demand for the precious metal for jewellery also plays a key role in setting prices.

Silver prices tend to follow Gold’s moves. When Gold prices rise, Silver typically follows suit, as their status as safe-haven assets is similar. The Gold/Silver ratio, which shows the number of ounces of Silver needed to equal the value of one ounce of Gold, may help to determine the relative valuation between both metals. Some investors may consider a high ratio as an indicator that Silver is undervalued, or Gold is overvalued. On the contrary, a low ratio might suggest that Gold is undervalued relative to Silver.

Solana Hits $225, Is a New High Ahead?

By |2024-11-13T06:43:31+02:00November 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Solana’s price recently surged to $225, marking a promising milestone as it captures investor attention. Currently trading at $210.69, SOL has experienced a slight pullback of 3.79% in the past day, indicating some resistance near recent highs. Despite this dip, the token’s 24-hour trading volume of $12.4 billion showcases strong activity and liquidity, suggesting that investor confidence remains robust. As SOL’s market cap hovers around $99.43 billion, the question remains whether this retracement is temporary or if the cryptocurrency is poised for another rally, potentially testing new highs. For a comprehensive SOL Price Prediction, investors are analyzing key technical indicators to gauge the cryptocurrency’s trajectory.

SOL’s Technicals Hint at Sustained Bullish Trend Ahead

The Ichimoku Cloud further validates this bullish outlook, as the altcoin’s price is above the cloud, implying sustained bullish pressure. The MACD also reverberates the same narrative of positive momentum, with the MACD line at 13.82 crossing the signal line.

There is a strong potential to pursue the all-time high of $260, about 24% away. Should Solana manage to breach $230, the next set target is $250, propelling towards its new record high. On the contrary, $204 and $210 are important support zones while spying on the upper levels. If the price falls to weaker levels below $204, this would indicate a shift in momentum and likely reversal.

Solana Dominates 2024 with 10B Transactions

Solana’s prowess is unmatched in the blockchain industry, with transactions worth $10 billion recorded in the 2024 year to date. The medium is far better than other platforms, with Near and Tron being the closest, with 1.9 billion and 1.95 billion transactions, respectively. In terms of network activity as well, the SOL cryptocurrency is way ahead of BNB Chain, Polygon, and Base, which are ranked in transactions ranging from 1.2 billion to 1.1 billion.

Solana Hits 5, Is a New High Ahead?

The chart incorporates Solana’s huge transaction volume, further validating the token’s activity in the blockchain ecosystem. It emphasizes the high demand for platforms, as Solana is constantly used for decentralized applications and smart contracts. Therefore, it shows how Solana’s ecosystem is intact, and even the network’s scalability and cheap transaction costs are factors for the cryptocurrency’s success in 2024.

Solana Market Sentiment Shows Bullish Outlook

Currently, the sentiment around Solana cryptocurrency seems more positive than negative, with retail and institutional investors revealing hybrid signals. The crowd sentiment for the token stands at 0.08, which is slightly more than neutral, suggesting some degree of optimism prevailing in the market on the part of retail investors. On the contrary, Smart Money Sentiment shows an even better bullish trend at 1.31, reflecting confidence from institutional investors and big traders.

This synchronization between retail and institutional sentiment implies that the SOL token has a good outlook in the market and that there is room for more bullish sentiment to take hold. The optimism from both groups indicates a potential for aggressive buying and aspirations for higher prices in the short term.

XAU/USD sellers look to cash in ahead of US CPI inflation data

By |2024-11-13T06:38:11+02:00November 13, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • Gold price defends $2,600 before the critical US CPI event risk.
  • The US Dollar retreats with Treasury yields as Trump trades-led rally stalls.
  • Gold price recovery must find a foothold above $2,645 as the daily RSI stays bearish.

Gold price has regained $2,600 early Wednesday, replicating the tepid recovery moves seen during Tuesday’s Asian trading. Gold price is snapping its three-day losing streak to its lowest level in two months, set on Tuesday at $2,590.

Gold price bounces but not out of the woods yet

Traders are cashing in profits on their Gold short and US Dollar (USD) long positions, fuelled by Republican Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election earlier this month. Trump’s lower tax and foreign trade policies are seen as inflationary. This narrative has supported the USD alongside the US Treasury bond yields at the expense of the non-yielding Gold price.

Further, markets believe that US President-elect Trump’s hardline policies could temper the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) easing cycle, which has also been positive for Greenback.

Markets currently price in about a 60% chance of another 25 basis points (bps) interest rate cut in for December, down from around 84% a month ago, according to the CME Group’s FedWatch Tool.

However, all eyes turn to the highly anticipated US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data due later on Wednesday to gauge whether the Fed will continue its rate-cutting trajectory beyond December.

Economists expect the annual headline and core CPI to rise 2.6% and 3.3% in October, respectively. Meanwhile, CPI and core CPI inflation are likely to stay unchanged at 0.2% and 0.3% on a monthly basis in the reported period.

A downside surprise in the CPI and core CPI readings is set to reinforce dovish expectations surrounding the Fed’s path on rate cuts. Conversely, a hotter-than-expected inflation report could add to the market expectations that the Fed may reconsider future rate cuts.

Any reaction to the US CPI data could be short-lived, as markets will shift their focus to Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s speech on Thursday. Powell is due to speak on Global Perspectives at an event hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

In the meantime, a fresh slew of speeches from Fed policymakers will also be closely scrutinized. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari, Dallas Fed President Lorie K. Logan, Kansas City President Jeffrey Schmid and their St. Louis counterpart Alberto Musalem are scheduled to speak later in American trading on Wednesday.

Gold price technical analysis: Daily chart

As observed on the daily chart, Gold price managed to close Tuesday at $2,600 following a brief dip beneath that level.

That has allowed buyers to attempt a comeback whilst the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) rebounds toward the 50 level.

If the short-covering rally gathers steam, Gold price could aim for the 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) support-turned-resistance at $2,650.

Ahead of that, buyers must take out the previous day’s high of $2,627. Further up, the $2,670 static resistance will come into play.

In case of hotter-than-expected US inflation data, Gold price could turn south toward the 100-day SMA at $2,541, near that level the September 18 low aligns.

However, sellers could meet strong contention at around the $2,585 region.

What you should know

These berry-flavored multivitamin gummies supply biotin for hair and nail health, folate to prevent birth defects during pregnancy and help with red blood cell production, and iodine for thyroid support.

  • Our testers said they particularly enjoyed the berry flavor of the Women’s Multi, and that the gummies didn’t get stuck in their teeth.

  • This multivitamin for ladies is one of Olly’s lowest-priced supplements at just $0.31 per serving.

  • These chewy multivitamins are just right for women who’d like comprehensive nutrition without having to swallow large pills.

Pros

Contains 100% DV for folate to help prevent birth defects during pregnancy

100% DV or more of seven nutrients

Cons

Some users dislike the recently updated formula’s flavor

Gummies may stick together

No iron, omega-3s, or probiotics

Olly Women’s Multi overview

For an inexpensive chewable

women’s multivitamin

, Olly’s version is a solid choice. At just $0.31 per serving, it’s one of the most affordable women’s multis around. We like it for its excellent value. Despite its low price, Olly Women’s Multi contains respectable amounts of all sorts of vitamins and minerals essential for women’s health.

Each serving supplies 100% of the daily value (DV) for folate, the vitamin necessary for preventing neural tube defects during pregnancy. (

1

) “While this is not necessarily a ‘prenatal’ vitamin, it does have benefits for prenatal times,” explains Victoria Burgess, PhD, CSCS, CISSN.

To help boost energy levels (an issue particularly common in older women), it’s got vitamin B12 in abundance, too—a whopping 250% of the DV. (

2

,

3

) You’ll also find other nutrients essential to women’s health, such as vitamins A, C, D, and E, and zinc. The minerals selenium, iodine, and chromium are also included.

A few nutrients are not featured on the Olly’s Women’s Multi roster, however. These gummies don’t contain any iron, which many women need more of due to menstrual blood loss. (

4

) And if you’re looking for a multivitamin that

supplies omega-3s

or probiotics, this won’t be the choice for you, as it doesn’t contain either.

While reviews are mixed on the multivitamin’s flavor, our testers generally had positive things to say about the berry taste. One product tester noted that, not only was their flavor quite pleasant, the gummies didn’t stick to her teeth like some other options. Many users also report that the vitamins have a very strong smell. Some say the gummies do have a tendency to stick together, meaning you may have to un-clump them before eating.

Keep in mind, too, that these gummies have a small amount of added sugar (2 grams per serving). If you’re trying to keep added sugars low, you might prefer a multivitamin that comes in capsule form.

Like all of Olly’s products, the Women’s Multi is third-party tested, meaning its ingredients and purity have been vetted by an outside agency. This is always a good sign of quality.

What customers are saying

Olly Women’s Multi is an extremely popular supplement, with over 37,000 reviews on Amazon, where it averages 4.6 out of 5 stars. Seventy-eight percent of reviewers give the product 5 stars. Many rave about the gummies’ taste and ease of use.

“Tastes like a gummy bear,” reports reviewer Angelica Hamil. Others say they’ve noticed significant improvements in their health since taking it.

“

I have noticed my skin looks better, I have more energy, my hair looks healthier.”

Catalina H., Amazon

As a counterpoint, however, several reviewers mention a strong, unpleasant smell. “I do always hold my nose when I open the bottle just because there is a strong vitamin smell,” says reviewer Kaitlyn B. Multiple reviews also complain that Olly recently introduced a new product formulation that doesn’t taste as good and doesn’t contain as many nutrients as a previous formula.

What you should know

Olly Men’s Multi is a smart, all-purpose option for guys. Its high B12 (375% DV) is especially noteworthy.

  • Our testers enjoyed the Men’s Multi’s blackberry flavor, praising its lack of aftertaste.

  • The $0.31 per-serving price is considerably lower than other men’s multivitamins.

  • The Olly Men’s Multi is ideal for men who’d like to fill in nutritional gaps with a well-rounded, easy to consume multivitamin.

Cons

Gummies may melt together

No probiotics, fiber, or omega-3s

Olly Men’s Multi overview

A lower percentage of men than women report using daily supplements—but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t use a nutritional boost. (

5

) We recommend Olly Men’s Multi as an all-purpose nutrition supplement for men. With just 15 calories per serving, two blackberry-flavored gummies provide a host of beneficial vitamins and minerals.

The primary standout here is the gummies’ content of vitamin B12. Research shows that men are more likely to be deficient in this nutrient than women. (

6

) Olly helps close any potential gap with 375% of the daily value. If that sounds like it might be excessive, not to worry. Because of this water-soluble vitamin’s low potential for toxicity, it has no established upper limit. (

4

)

Besides B12, Olly Men’s Multi is also high in multiple other nutrients, such as vitamins C, D, E, and B6, biotin, and folate, providing 50% or more of the DV for each. Then again, some nutrients aren’t featured here. The gummies don’t include any omega-3s, iron, potassium, probiotics, fiber,

or magnesium

.

“Men have a much lower need for iron than women, which is why iron is left out of many men’s multivitamin products,” notes Jillian Kubala, MS, RD.

Price-wise, you’ll still get plenty of bang for your buck with these chewy supplements. Each bottle contains 90 gummies, which is 45 servings. At a mere $13.99 per bottle, that equates to a bargain of $0.31 per serving. Ordering the vitamins on subscription reduces the cost even further to $0.26 per serving. Shipping costs $6.99 if you order from Olly’s website (or is free if you spend over $49).

And how about taste and texture? By and large, our testers reported liking the blackberry flavor of the men’s multi. Some did say that the taste was overly sweet, though. Texture was another potential downside. One of our testers’ bottles arrived with its entire contents melted.

What customers are saying

On Amazon, Olly Men’s Multi has over 11,000 reviews and an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most reviewers say they’re satisfied with the vitamins’ results, and that their taste is pleasant. Some even report eating the vitamins as a sweet treat. Some say, though, that consistency varies, and different batches of the vitamins seem to arrive harder or softer.

“This last order, they were smaller, and they were harder, and they just seemed like something happened to them,” writes reviewer “Firstinlastout74.”

The vitamins’ packaging is another potential drawback. “My only complaint is the package lid doesn’t ‘reseal’ itself easily, but that can be remedied by putting it in a gallon Ziplock bag. There is a safety seal that you must peel off at first, but after that, the seal doesn’t work with the plastic-on-plastic lid/bottle,” writes reviewer DG.

What you should know

Olly’s Adult Multi + Probiotic combines multiple nutrients with gut-friendly probiotics.

  • Per serving, you’ll get 1 billion CFUs of probiotics—the minimum recommended dose—from

    Bacillus subtilis

, a strain that could help reduce bloating. (

    7

    ,

    8

    )

  • Though the $0.57 per serving price is higher than Olly’s regular multivitamins, we still think this price is a steal considering the added probiotics.

  • Anyone who’d like smoother digestion and an extra bump of nutrients will appreciate these gummies.

Pros

Contains probiotics for gut health benefits

Cons

No iron, calcium, fiber, or omega-3s

Provides lower amounts of some nutrients than other Olly multis

May have an unpleasant smell

Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic overview

Just like you might think of multivitamins as large pills, you might think of probiotics the same way. Fortunately, Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic supplies a blend of vitamins, minerals, and gut-friendly bacteria in a single gummy.

These gummy supplements combine at least 50% of the DV for vitamins A, C, D, B12, and E, folate, biotin, and iodine, along with the probiotic strain

Bacillus subtilis

. Research has linked this strain with improved GI symptoms like less bloating, flatulence, and belching. (

7

) If you’re looking for improvements in gut health, this multivitamin-probiotic duo might help.

“Having the proper gut balance can help nutrient absorption, which will help in this case to absorb the most vitamins as possible.”

Victoria Burgess, PhD, CSCS, CISSN

Just remember it’s always best to talk to your doctor before adding any supplement—especially a probiotic. Introducing new bacteria may actually be harmful for people with compromised immune systems or certain underlying health conditions. (

9

) Note, too, that different people may respond differently to unique probiotic strains. (

10

)

Considering that this multivitamin costs just $0.26 more per serving than Olly Men’s and Women’s multivitamins, it’s definitely a good deal. (You’ll pay upwards of $1 per serving for many other solo

probiotic supplements

on the market.)

Then again, Olly’s Multi + Probiotic doesn’t contain any fiber, unlike some competitors. You can boost its effectiveness by consuming plenty of

prebiotic fiber

from food. This type of fiber, found in foods like asparagus, artichokes, bananas, and soybeans, helps feed healthy gut bacteria. (

11

)

This supplement’s tropical taste is another point in its favor. Most reviewers say it’s quite pleasant. (Of course, it does contain added sugars to achieve its taste—one serving has 2 grams.) Surprisingly, though, the smell of Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic may not match its fruity flavor. Reviews are rife with reports that the gummies’ smell is off-putting. Another point in the “minus” column: these gummies are likely to melt together. Amazon advises customers to be home at the time of delivery so the products don’t melt in high outdoor temperatures.

What customers are saying

Customers seem happy with their overall experience with Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic. On Amazon, the product gets a 4.5-star average rating out of 5 from a total of about 3,200 reviews. Quite a few customers say they’ve seen a meaningful difference in their digestion since starting them.

“These taste great and have helped with my gut health.”

Jennifer B., Amazon

The top user complaint on Amazon has to do with the product’s tendency to melt together into a single mass. “They had all melted into one gross chunk,” says reviewer Ashley S. However, most say customer service was helpful and accommodated requests for a new bottle.

Who Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic is recommended for:

  • Men and women seeking better digestive health
  • People who want to take a probiotic and multivitamin in one
  • Anyone who prefers a shelf-stable probiotic

Who Olly Adult Multi + Probiotic is not recommended for:

  • People with underlying health conditions (especially those that affect the GI tract) should check with their doctor before taking this supplement
  • Not for use in children
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women should speak with their doctor about whether this supplement is right for them

What you should know

Olly Essential Prenatal Multi offers reliable nutrition, including omega-3s and folate, for expectant mothers.

  • Omega-3s are included here to help support the baby’s neurological development. (

    12

    )

  • With a price tag of only $0.47 per serving, this prenatal is significantly cheaper than many you’ll find on the market.

  • Whether you’re pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding, these gummies can be a good fit for this special time of life.

Pros

No synthetic colors or flavors

Cons

Fewer servings per bottle than other Olly vitamins

Olly Essential Prenatal Multi overview

When you’ve got a “bun in the oven,” your nutrient needs increase significantly. Pregnant women require more micronutrients like iron, calcium, iodine, and vitamin D to support not only their own needs but also the baby’s healthy development. (

13

,

14

) Olly Essential Prenatal Multi has you covered on several of the nutrients you require more of during this precious time of life.

Each two-gummy serving supplies 133% DV of vitamin D and 52% DV of iodine, as well as high amounts of vitamin A, vitamin B12, and niacin. Other critical nutrients for pregnancy are present, too. A serving contains 111% DV of folate, the mineral that helps prevent neural tube defects in utero. (

15

) One hundred percent of the DV of vitamin B6 is another helpful addition, since some research shows it may quell morning sickness. (

16

)

Notably, the Essential Prenatal Multi is missing calcium and iron. That said, many vitamin manufacturers leave iron out of their

prenatal formulas

, since it’s known for causing upset stomach and “pregnant women have differing iron needs,” notes Kubala. (

17

)

Another selling point for Olly’s prenatal is its inclusion of omega-3 fatty acids. Increasing your intake of these healthy fats during pregnancy supports heart, immune, and nervous system health, as well as promoting baby’s cognitive development. (

18

) Consuming plenty of these fats may even lower your risk of preeclampsia and low birth weight. (

18

) Olly’s prenatal contains 70 milligrams of omega-3s from fish oil. Though this amount is helpful, you’ll want to be sure your diet also provides an additional source of omega-3s. The American Pregnancy Association recommends pregnant and lactating women get 300 milligrams per day. (

18

)

With all these elements in a two-gummy dose, Olly’s Essential Prenatal Multi is an excellent value. Each serving costs only $0.47. Its tropical taste is well-liked among most users—though it’s not uncommon to experience taste changes during pregnancy. Even if you’re usually fond of tropical flavors, it’s always possible the acidic nature of these gummies won’t sit well with you.

What customers are saying

Over 10,000 Amazon reviews with a 4.6-out-of-5 average reveal that moms-to-be are largely fans of Olly Essential Prenatal Multi. Several common threads emerge among satisfied reviewers.

“

There are so many things I like about these. They taste good, they don’t make me sick, and they are easy to remember to take!”

Carlee, Amazon

Among the many glowing reviews, though, a few aren’t so complimentary. Several mamas say the gummies’ acidic tropical taste isn’t a great choice for pregnancy nausea. “As a prego woman, please I’m begging, come out with a different flavor that’s not so acidic tasting,” writes reviewer Ashley.

This multivitamin for teen girls may offer a boost for concerns like hair health, immune health, and energy levels.

  • Reviewers love the strawberry watermelon flavor of these gummies.

  • A $0.40 per-serving price is nice and low, especially compared to many other teen multivitamins.

  • These supplements are meant for young ladies. If you’re over 18, you’ll want to look for a different product.

Pros

Cons

No omega-3s, fiber, or probiotics

Olly Teen Girl Multi overview

Teenagers aren’t exactly famous for eating a healthy diet. Sometimes they could use a little nutritional support. Olly’s Teen Girl Multi can help round out what might be missing from teen girls’ eating habits.

Each serving contains at least 50% of the DV of 12 micronutrients, including vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, folate, and biotin. The addition of biotin is especially relevant to teen girls looking for hair health benefits. Though more research is needed, some studies indicate that biotin may help increase hair growth. (

19

) Meanwhile, B vitamins in this formula help convert nutrients to energy, and vitamins C and D (plus zinc) aim to support immune health. (

20

,

21

)

While all these nutrients are a good start for teens’ overall health, Olly Teen Girl Multi doesn’t contain some elements you might hope for. The gummies don’t supply any fiber, probiotics, or omega-3s. They’re also void of calcium and iron, “both of which can be extremely beneficial for the teen girl,” notes Burgess.

On the other hand, these vitamins are gluten-free and made with natural flavors and colors. Their two-in-one strawberry watermelon flavor is a major draw for girls who enjoy a sweet treat. Many say they taste just like gummy candies. However, the gummies are not vegan and are made in a facility that may process common allergens like soy, shellfish, milk, and peanuts. If your daughter has a severe food allergy, you may want to choose

another teen multivitamin

.

All told, the Olly Teen Girl Multi is a strikingly good deal. Each bottle contains 70 gummies (35 servings) at a per-serving cost of $0.40. You can also subscribe on the brand’s website to save extra money. A monthly subscription saves 15%.

Like some of Olly’s other products, the Teen Girl Multis may have a tendency to melt together, especially if shipped during the hotter months of the year. To avoid this packaging hiccup, consider purchasing them in-person.

What customers are saying

Olly Teen Girl Multi gets an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 on Amazon. The top benefit mentioned seems to be their taste.

“T

hese gummies taste great…I actually look forward to taking them. Like it’s a little treat!”

Kelley P., Amazon

Others say they’ve noticed clearer skin, more energy, and better focus since taking them.

Negative reviews make up the minority here. Those who have a beef with the vitamins say that Olly may have recently changed their formula—and not in a good way. “When we received our most recent shipment the product was different. They are usually soft and spongy but the recent shipment was shriveled and hard,” says reviewer Tim V.

Worried your little one isn’t getting enough nutrition from their diet? These tasty gummy worms provide at least 50% DV for seven micronutrients; for children ages 2-3, the appropriate one-gummy serving provides at least 50% DV for nine micronutrients.

  • Olly Kids Multi Gummy has separate serving sizes for kids older and younger than age four.

  • The $0.40 per-serving price is comparable to many other OTC kids’ multivitamins.

  • Even kids as young as two years old can take a one-gummy dose of these vitamins.

Pros

Fun, appealing format for kids

35 2-gummy servings per bottle

50% DV or more for 7 vitamins and minerals (for children and adults ages 4+)

Cons

No probiotics, fiber, or omega-3s

Processed in a facility with food allergens

2-3 grams of added sugars

Olly Kids Multi Gummy Worms overview

Vitamins in the form of gummy worms—what kid could resist? We particularly like Olly Kids Gummy Worms for young kids (like toddlers) because of their fun, appealing format and plentiful nutrition. The multicolored worms have a sour fruity flavor that’s likely to make little ones feel excited about taking their vitamins. As every parent of toddlers knows, that’s worth a lot.

These vitamins are suitable for kids as young as age two, with special dosing instructions for two- to three-year-olds. (You’ll dose one gummy per child per day at this age, or two gummies per child per day at age four and older.) Since young kiddos just developing their palates may frequently turn up their noses at healthy foods, the gummies offer reassurance that your child is taking in nutrients they might not get from their diet.

For two- and three-year-olds, a serving provides at least 50% of the DV for multiple micronutrients, such as vitamins A, C, D, E, B6, B12, biotin, folate, and pantothenic acid. Each plays its own role in supporting kids’ overall good health.

Then again, these supplements don’t contain any fiber, probiotics, or omega-3 fats. Little ones who need a boost of any of these nutrients will need to get them elsewhere. The gummies also contain 6% of the recommended limit for added sugars for children, which is a tad high.

“Ensuring proper mouth hygiene after consuming the gummy can help keep away cavities,” notes Burgess.

Another reason Olly Kids Gummy Worms make a good choice for toddlers: they don’t have any artificial flavors or colors. Though research is still unfolding on the subject of red dyes and increased hyperactivity, some studies have shown a link between the two in kids. (

22

) If you’re concerned about the possibility of ADHD in your child, you may prefer to stay away from red dye in their diet. However, that’s not an issue with these gummies.

Some experts argue that making kids vitamins look like candy (such as gummy worms) is problematic, since it could lead to kids inadvertently overdosing on the supplements. Be sure to keep these gummies securely sealed and out of reach of young children to prevent this scenario.

What customers are saying

Parents and kids alike have praise for these healthy gummy worms. Of 3,600 reviews on Amazon, 82% give the supplement 5 stars, with an average 4.6-star rating. “These gummy worms are bursting with sour fruit punch flavor that kids adore,” writes Amazon reviewer Gizem A.

“My child looks forward to taking her daily gummies, and I must admit, I enjoy sneaking a few myself!”

Gizem A, Amazon

Users say they appreciate knowing little ones are getting ample nutrition in such a tasty package.

Like many of Olly’s gummies, however, the gummies seem to have a tendency to melt together—in this case, into an unappealing wormy blob. According to reviewer Desiree, “The product showed up completely melted together into one big gummy mess. Completely unusable.”

Who Olly Kids Multi Gummy Worms is recommended for:

  • Children as young as two years old
  • Kids who can’t take large pills
  • Kids whose diets are lacking in nutrients

Who Olly Kids Multi Gummy Worms is not recommended for:

  • Adults who have higher micronutrient needs
  • Children with severe food allergies
  • Children who need to keep sugar intake low

Olly Kids Multi + Probiotic overview

Olly Kids Multi + Probiotic takes the brand’s Kids’ Gummy Worm and adds a gut-friendly probiotic strain called

Bacillus coagulans

in a regular gummy (not worm) format. We’re fans of these chewy vitamins for older kids, especially those who may deal with constipation or other digestive issues.

Like the gummy worms, children as young as age two can take these supplements, but dosing can be appropriate for kids of any age. The same dosage applies here as with the gummy worms: one gummy for kids age two and three, and two gummies for kids age four and older.

“Starting low and increasing slowly can help with any possible GI discomfort side effects and knowing which dose is actually helpful.”

The probiotic is a welcome addition for many children (and the parents who care for them). Among kids, constipation is an extremely common problem. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, one in 20 kids will make a visit to the pediatrician because of constipation. (

24

) Fortunately, the probiotic added to Olly’s Kids Multi + Probiotic may help. A small 2020 study revealed that the probiotic

Bacillus coagulans

was effective in treating constipation-dominant functional bowel disorders. (

23

)

We’ll point out, though, that this supplement doesn’t contain any fiber, which is another important nutrient for bowel health. To best support your child’s digestive health and lower the risk of constipation, you may want to include more fiber in their diet through foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, and seeds.

“Fiber will also help feed the probiotics to help more of the strain survive through the digestion process,” adds Burgess.

These gummies don’t provide any omega-3s, iron, or calcium. But they do contain a sturdy mix of other vitamins and minerals, including 50% or more of the daily value for vitamins D, E, B6, and B12, plus folate, biotin, and pantothenic acid for kids age four and older.

And, like Olly’s gummy worms, these berry punch-flavored gummies are made without artificial colors or flavorings. It’s worth noting, however, that they are created in a facility that processes multiple common food allergens. If you need to be extra careful about cross-contamination, you may prefer not to risk it with these.

What customers are saying

The Kids Multi + Probiotic has the highest Amazon rating of all of Olly’s products on our list. Out of over 17,000 reviews, the product averages 4.7 stars out of 5. Parents say their kids genuinely enjoy the vitamins’ flavor and texture and take them willingly.

“

My son loves these. By far these have been the easiest multivitamins to get him to actually take!”

Samantha F., Amazon

Several reviewers also mention being pleased with the gummies’ probiotic content and its digestive benefits for kids.

The common issue of melting seems to apply to these gummies, however. Some users also report frustration with the supplements’ packaging, saying bottles are unnecessarily large. “My major disappointment is that they come in a HUGE plastic bottle (with child-proof lid). The bottle is only about 1/3 full when new,” writes Amazon user “Happy Shopper.”

Olly certainly stands out for its low price, consistent third-party testing, and its many tasty gummy options. For some people, though, another product may be a better choice. Ritual’s multivitamins, for example, provide an above-and-beyond level of transparency about what goes into them.

Meanwhile, a multi like the ones from Transparent Labs or Legion Athletics could be a favorite if you’re looking for a vitamin that supplies very high amounts of micronutrients. Both contain over 1,000% of the daily value for multiple micronutrients.

How we test multivitamins

We’re committed to providing practical, transparent supplement reviews. When testing multivitamins, we analyze aspects like their value, quality, effectiveness, and taste, weighing products’ merits compared to other similar options.

Each multivitamin supplement we review is put through our multivitamin scoring methodology

for men

or

for women

, which grades the product into three primary categories. Multivitamins can also earn bonus credits that boost the overall rating for factors like sustainable packaging, third-party testing certifications, and more. The three primary categories are:

Key nutrient minimum dosages—60%

We consider the key nutrient minimum dosage to verify that the product delivers adequate levels to support overall health, vitality, and specific gender-related nutritional requirements.

Contains all key nutrients—30%

Ensuring that the supplement contains all key nutrients is crucial for comprehensive nutritional support. This is important because different genders may require varying amounts of certain nutrients, such as iron for women or zinc for men. We consider whether the supplement includes all essential nutrients to provide balanced support for the unique health needs of men or women.

Here are just a few we consider:

  • Vitamins A, C, D, E, and K

  • Iron

  • Calcium

  • Zinc

  • Folate (folic acid)

  • Magnesium

  • Selenium

Cost per serving—10%

The cost per serving is vital for evaluating the long-term affordability and value of the supplement.

Could DOGE ETF spark new all-time high after 130% rise?

By |2024-11-13T04:42:31+02:00November 13, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Dogecoin price today: $0.3800

  • Dogecoin is the best-performing asset among the top 100 tokens by market cap following a 130% rise.
  • Eric Balchunas hinted at the launch of a DOGE ETF, which could lower the skeptical view of investors toward memecoins.
  • DOGE could rally to test its all-time high if it overcomes the $0.5900 key hurdle.

Dogecoin (DOGE) rose over 15% on Tuesday as traders anticipate a price move toward the $1 threshold following Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas’s post regarding a DOGE exchange-traded fund (ETF).

Dogecoin could be on the brink of an ETF launch as prices continue upward march

Dogecoin has witnessed double-digit gains in the past 24 hours, rising over 15% as the general crypto market rallied. It currently trends as the best-performing asset among the top 100 tokens, seeing over 130% gain on the weekly timeframe, per CoinGecko data.

The momentous rise saw Dogecoin’s market capitalization cross the $56 billion mark, surpassing that of automotive company Ford in the process. DOGE’s impressive run dates back to October 13, since which it has risen over 250%.

Following another round of price rally on Tuesday,  Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas hinted at the possibility of a DOGE ETF after Canary Capital’s S-1 application for an HBAR ETF.

Eric Balchunas played a crucial role in the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs approval timeline by providing regular updates and insights on regulatory developments.

Hence, most Dogecoin community members are showing increased interest after Balchunas’ tweet.

Crypto expert Andrew Kang predicted in March that the approval of a DOGE ETF holds a 30% chance, particularly if regulatory clarity improves.

Although there is currently no application for a DOGE ETF, most crypto community members are preparing for asset managers to submit one soon, especially after Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US presidential elections last Tuesday.

As anticipation builds for a DOGE ETF, Dogecoin could extend its gains and tackle its all-time high resistance.

Additionally, a DOGE ETF could lower the skepticism toward meme coins by giving institutional investors exposure to Dogecoin’s price.

Dogecoin Price Forecast: DOGE could test its all-time high if it rallies above the $0.5900 resistance

Dogecoin sustained over $127 million in liquidations in the past 24 hours, with liquidated long and short positions accounting for $63.69 and $64.10 million, per Coinglass data.

DOGE aims to tackle the resistance level of a key rectangular channel near $0.4483 after charging above the $0.3517 resistance of August 2021. A firm close above $0.4483 will see DOGE tackling the $0.5900 resistance of May 2021 and stage a rally toward a new all-time high.

DOGE/USDT daily chart

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez also suggests a similar bullish outlook as DOGE’s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) is at 45.65%. This is below the 78% mark, which often indicates market tops in previous cycles. Hence, DOGE still has room to run.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is in the oversold region, indicating a potential price correction is imminent.

A daily candlestick close below $0.3517 will invalidate the bullish thesis.
