Cardano (ADA) Skyrockets 32%, Regains Top 10 Spot

By |2024-11-10T16:09:47+02:00November 10, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

After seemingly being ignored by market participants during the ongoing market rally, Cardano (ADA) has managed to bounce back from a long streak of anemic underwhelming price action.

The altcoin, which is seen as one of the top Ethereum (ETH) competitors, is currently changing hands at $0.57 after skyrocketing by more than 32% over the past 24 hours.

It has vastly outperformed every other major alternative cryptocurrency in the top 10.

Following the most recent price surge, ADA has now reclaimed its spot in the top 10 with a market cap of roughly $20.7 billion.

ADA has certainly benefited from the broader cryptocurrency rally. As reported by U.Today, Bitcoin, the top cryptocurrency by market capitalization, recently reached a new record high of $79,673.

The ADA price is also seemingly benefiting from improving fundamentals. Cardano’s total value locked (TVL) is up by 45% over the past 30 days. There has also been an impressive 74% spike in daily active users over the aforementioned period of time.

However, ADA is still down by more than 80% from its record high that was achieved back in 2021 even after its stellar price rally.

Another altcoin season?

Sui (SUI) and Cardano (ADA) are currently the best-performing tokens in the top 100, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Neiro (First Neiro on Ethereum) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) are also among the top gainers over the past 24 hours. These meme coins have spiked by 20% and 17%, respectively.

Speculators are also betting on the seemingly forgotten altcoins. Bitcoin fork Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has also surged by nearly 14%.

Bitcoin’s dominance has now slipped to the 60% level now that another altcoin season is apparently here.

Benefits, Uses, Side Effects, and More

By |2024-11-10T14:36:41+02:00November 10, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

Borage is an herb from the Borago officinalis plant, which grows across the Middle East, Mediterranean, and North Africa. Seeds of the plant contain gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid with anti-inflammatory properties.

Borage has traditionally been used to treat conditions like depression, fever, respiratory infection, and adrenal insufficiency. Today, it’s a potential treatment option for several skin and inflammatory conditions.

Borage helps with inflammation by lowering the production of interleukin (IL) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF), two proteins that play a key role in inflammation. Borage also helps create prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), a product that helps to limit inflammation in the body. As a result, borage may help treat or manage health conditions that involve inflammation.

Here are some examples:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory autoimmune disease that occurs when the immune system attacks healthy tissue. One study found that 1.4 grams of borage daily for six months helped improve RA symptoms by 37%. Another study found that taking 2.8 grams (g) of borage daily for six months improved RA symptoms by 64%.
  • Asthma causes lung and airway inflammation. Some research suggests that borage may help treat and prevent asthma symptoms from worsening by decreasing airway inflammation and swelling. However, other studies reported that doses of 2 grams daily for 12 months did not appear to improve asthma symptoms compared to a placebo (a treatment with no active drug or therapeutic benefit).
  • In one study, adults with moderate asthma received 5 milliliters (mL) of a compounded borage supplement three times daily for one month. They experienced less coughing, shortness of breath, sleeping issues, asthma flare-ups, and emergency room visits. The supplement did not appear to improve labs related to inflammation caused by asthma.

More research is needed to understand how beneficial borage may be in treating and preventing inflammatory conditions.

The anti-inflammatory effects of borage may help manage certain skin conditions. Omega-6 fatty acids, found in borage, support the structure and function of the skin. Using borage oil topically may improve and normalize the skin barrier function. Direct application to the skin may also treat pain, bruises, and wounds.

Acne is a common skin condition that leads to skin lesions like pimples. In mild to moderate acne, taking 2 grams of borage daily (which provides 400 milligrams GLA) for 10 weeks decreased inflammatory acne lesions by 33% and non-inflammatory acne lesions by 16%. Acne severity improved after 10 weeks of use.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an eczema that causes dry, itchy skin. Data conflicts on whether borage is an effective treatment. Studies that used borage doses of 500-4,000 milligrams (mg) daily for up to 24 weeks did not conclude that the supplement significantly affected the AD.

More research is needed to understand the possible benefits of useful borage to treat skin conditions.

Research has evaluated borage in preventing and treating cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) conditions. Several studies have found that borage may help lower triglycerides, increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (“good” cholesterol”), and decrease blood pressure and blood clotting effects.

One study in adults ages 30-46 with overweight or obesity evaluated borage oil’s effect on multiple cardiovascular conditions:

  • Study participants took four capsules of a borage oil supplement (880 milligrams of GLA) daily for six weeks.
  • Borage oil did not improve overall resting metabolism or body mass index (BMI), but it appeared to improve triglyceride and HDL levels. (However, participants had normal lipid and cholesterol levels to begin with.)
  • Researchers concluded that borage oil likely does not directly support weight loss but may help with triglycerides and cholesterol levels.

Another study evaluated the benefits of various fatty acid-based dietary supplements in people with early-stage type 2 diabetes or metabolic syndrome:

  • Participants received either corn oil, fish oil, or a borage oil combination for 8 weeks.
  • Those who received borage oil saw a decrease in total cholesterol from 182 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) to 171.9 mg/dL and LDL cholesterol from 106.3 to 96.8 mg/dL.

Another study evaluated the use of borage oil in postmenopausal women with hypertension (high blood pressure):

  • Participants received 1 gram of borage oil plus vitamin E or vitamin E alone for six months.
  • The group taking borage oil plus vitamin E had an average decrease in systolic blood pressure, from 138.75 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) to 127 mmHg, and decreased diastolic blood pressure (from 89.88 mmHg to 83.50 mmHg).
  • The vitamin E-only group experienced a smaller decrease, about 131 mmHg in systolic blood pressure and no difference in diastolic blood pressure.
  • The study found a reduced waist-hip ratio but no significant change in overall weight or BMI.

You can take borage by mouth or apply it directly to your skin. Borage oil is available as an oil or as a softgel capsule.

GLA omega-6 fatty acids are found in the oil of the borage seed. Oil pressed from the seeds often contains about 18-26% GLA. The flowers of the Borago officinalis plant may be eaten, but they do not contain GLA.

Dosage

There are no established dosage recommendations for borage. Available research has used doses of up to 4 grams daily. It’s best to follow the dosing instructions on the supplement label or ask your healthcare provider for guidance.

Borage is considered safe in adults in doses of up to 4 grams daily for 12 weeks. In children, borage is safe in doses up to 2 grams daily for 12 weeks.

There is not enough evidence to determine if borage is safe in people who are pregnant or lactating. If you are pregnant or lactating, you should not take borage supplements.

Borage plants and products contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs), which are known to be hepatotoxic (toxic to the liver). PAs are mostly found in the borage plant root but can also be found in the flowers, leaves, and seeds. When shopping for borage supplements, look for products labeled as “hepatotoxic PA-free.”

When buying a supplement, make sure the product is third-party tested. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not regulate supplements the same way as medications, which means supplement quality and safety can vary. Third-party testing confirms the supplement contains the ingredients listed on the label and is free from harmful contaminants. Check for seals from reputable organizations such as NSF International, U.S. Pharmacopeia, or ConsumerLab.

Potential Drug Interactions

Available research suggests borage does not interact with many medications. However, there are a few potential drug interactions, including:

  • Blood thinners and antiplatelets: Taking borage with blood thinners and antiplatelets may increase your risk of bleeding. GLA, found in borage, appears to lower how much platelets clot by about 45% and increases bleeding risk. Prescription blood thinners and antiplatelets include Coumadin (warfarin), Plavix (clopidogrel), and Eliquis (apixaban). Herbs and supplements with blood thinning and antiplatelet ability include ginkgo, dong quai, and turmeric.
  • Medications induced by CYP3A4: Taking borage with drugs that are metabolized by the liver enzyme CYP3A4 may increase PA levels and the risk for liver damage. To avoid this interaction, avoid taking products that are not PA-free. Examples of medications induced by CYP3A4 include phenytoin, phenobarbital, and corticosteroids.
  • Phenothiazines: Several studies in the 1980s reported that taking borage oil with phenothiazines may increase your risk for seizures. Phenothiazine is a group of medications used to treat mental and emotional disorders, such as prochlorperazine, fluphenazine, and chlorpromazine. However, many other studies have disproved this claim.
  • Pyrrolizidine alkaloid-containing herbs and supplements: Due to the risk for liver toxicity, borage should not be taken with other PA-containing herbs and supplements. Examples of these supplements include black cohosh, garcinia, turmeric, and vitamin A.

Can You Take Too Much?

The maximum dosage of borage has not been reported. Doses up to 4 grams daily have been reported safe. More research is needed to determine if certain doses of borage can cause significant side effects or issues.

Borage is generally well-tolerated. Common side effects reported with borage products include bloating, belching, and diarrhea.

Borage plants and some borage products contain PAs, which are known to cause liver damage. Consistent exposure to PAs can lead to a condition called veno-occlusive disease (VOD). VOD happens when the blood vessels in or around the liver are blocked. Symptoms of VOD include pain in the epigastric area, vomiting, diarrhea, ascites (build-up of fluid in the abdomen), and hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver).

When shopping for borage supplements, look for products labeled as “hepatotoxic PA-free.”

Borage is an herb found in the Borago officinalis plant. Its seeds contain GLA, an omega-6 fatty acid believed to lower inflammation. The herb is a potential treatment option for some skin and inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, acne, and asthma.

Talk with your healthcare provider about taking borage oil. They can help you determine if the supplement is appropriate for you based on your health conditions and any other medications you are taking.

GBP/USD Weekly Forecast: BoE Rate Cut Weighs on Pound

By |2024-11-10T14:12:37+02:00November 10, 2024|Forex News, News|0 Comments

  • Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US presidential election.
  • The Bank of England cut interest rates by 25-bps as expected.
  • Next week, the US will release consumer and wholesale inflation data.

The GBP/USD weekly forecast points south amid a drop in BoE rate cut expectations and a stronger dollar after Trump’s win.

Ups and downs of GBP/USD

After a volatile week, the pound ended on a bearish candle as market participants absorbed the US election results. After weeks of uncertainty, Republican candidate Donald Trump won the election. The win was bullish for the greenback because of the expectation of higher tariffs and tax cuts during Trump’s presidency.

Meanwhile, the Bank of England cut interest rates by 25-bps as expected. However, the pound rallied as policymakers noted that the new budget would likely increase inflation more than earlier expected. As a result, traders reduced the expected rate cuts in 2025 from four to three or two.

Next week’s key events for GBP/USD

GBP/USD Weekly Forecast: BoE Rate Cut Weighs on Pound

Next week, the UK will release crucial employment figures shaping the outlook for Bank of England rate cuts. Already, economists do not expect another BoE rate cut this year. Robust employment figures will likely push back the timing of the next rate cut.

At the same time, traders will focus on data on manufacturing production and gross domestic product that will show the state of the UK economy. Recent data has demonstrated better-than-expected economic performance, which has lowered the expected rate cuts.

Meanwhile, the US will release consumer and wholesale inflation data that will determine the Fed’s future policy moves. If inflation is higher than forecast, the US central bank might hesitate to cut in December. On the other hand, rate cut expectations will surge on cooler-than-expected figures.

GBP/USD weekly technical forecast: Bears target the 1.2701 support

GBP/USD weekly technical forecastGBP/USD weekly technical forecast
GBP/USD daily chart

On the technical side, the GBP/USD price has collapsed further to make a new low below the 1.3000 key psychological level. At the same time, the price trades below the 22-SMA with the RSI in the bearish region below 50.

After bulls paused at the 1.3400 resistance, bearish momentum surged, prompting the price to break below its support trendline and the 22-SMA. Therefore, control shifted from bulls to bears and has remained that way. At some point, bulls challenged the SMA and the 1.3000 but were not strong enough to take charge. Consequently, the coming week might see GBP/USD reaching the 1.2701.

The benefits and harms of your daily cup of tea: what science reveals

By |2024-11-10T12:35:57+02:00November 10, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

For centuries, tea has been the beverage of choice for millions worldwide. Be it soothing green tea or robust black tea, many people swear by its health benefits. Of course, like anything else, tea too has pros and cons. Recent studies have brought new light to what is long thought to be a healthy drink, leaving tea lovers to question: is tea as healthy as we think?

5 benefits of drinking tea

The benefits and harms of your daily cup of tea: what science reveals

1. Boosts heart health

A research article published in the American journal of clinical nutrition suggests that regular consumption of both green and black tea may help in maintaining healthy hearts. Tea is rich in flavonoids, a flavouring agent identified to have antioxidant properties that reduce blood pressure and elevate cholesterol. This facilitates better circulation or pumping of blood and decreases cases of cardiovascular diseases.

2. Enhances cognitive function

Tea is known to have a caffeine substance that provides a natural boost without the jitters people experience from taking coffee. Caffeine in tea works harmoniously with the amino acid L-theanine for a focused, relaxed state of mind. Research shows that this combination enhances cognitive performance and alertness, making it a great choice for staying sharp during the day.

The benefits and harms of your daily cup of tea: what science reveals

3. Digestive aid

Tea, particularly herbal teas like peppermint and ginger tea, helps in digestion by soothing the lining of the stomach and enhancing the flow of digestive juices. A study published in the journal Phytomedicine (2013) found that peppermint oil, which is a key ingredient in peppermint tea, can help relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), including bloating and abdominal pain. Though studies suggest that teas such as peppermint tend to soften the symptoms associated with indigestion, making them a popular remedy for an upset stomach.

4. Enhances the immunity power

Polyphenols found in different types of tea, especially green tea, enhance immunity. Science has discovered that free radical-fighting antioxidants from tea can strengthen immune cells and also develop resistance to infections and diseases, including certain cancers.

5. Encourages relaxation and stress relief

The ritual of brewing a cup of tea and sipping slowly can have a calming effect on the body and mind. Herbal teas like chamomile have been used for ages as they possess a mild sedative quality. According to research published by ScienceDirect, Regular consumption of tea diminishes the effect of stress and anxiety and calms the mind.

Five potential harms of drinking tea

The benefits and harms of your daily cup of tea: what science reveals

1. May cause insomnia

While the caffeine in tea offers a boost of energy, it can also interfere with sleep patterns, especially if consumed in large quantities or late in the day. Caffeine is a stimulant, and its consumption, especially close to bedtime, may disrupt sleep with the consequences of developing insomnia and poor sleep quality.

2. Can stain teeth

Tea contains tannins, which are chemicals that can stain the teeth over time. Regular tea drinkers may notice stains on their teeth, meaning a less-than-perfect smile. Although normally harmless, stains may need professional dental care to remove.

3. Can cause iron deficiency

Polyphenols are substances found in tea that can inhibit the absorption of iron from dietary plant sources. If consumed in large quantities, especially with meals, tea may contribute to iron deficiency, particularly in individuals who follow vegetarian or vegan diets. The study also shows that drinking tea with meals can reduce iron absorption by up to 60%.

4. Can irritate the stomach

For some individuals, the acidity in tea can lead to stomach discomfort, acid reflux, or gastritis. Teas like black tea and some herbal teas (e.g., peppermint) have been known to cause distress or bloating in sensitive individuals.

5. Over-caffeination

Though tea is smoother than coffee, it contains caffeine. Overuse leads to symptoms such as jitteriness, headaches, and increased heart rate. Increased levels of caffeine have also been proven to multiply the risk of dehydration and may indirectly trigger anxiety in some people.

The benefits and harms of your daily cup of tea: what science reveals

Tea is the simplest pleasure, but in our health, it goes beyond simple. It can improve the heart but interfere with the absorption of iron, all depending on the type and amount being consumed. Therefore, a moderate intake of tea consumption helps to reap more benefits in contrast to an excessive drinking habit.

The best supplements to take in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond to improve skin elasticity and maintain muscle mass

By |2024-11-10T10:34:30+02:00November 10, 2024|Dietary Supplements News, News|0 Comments

A healthy diet is important for health, weight management and the appearance of the skin, but supplements can also be useful in other ways.

A nutritionist has shared which supplements are best to take during each decade for smoother skin, muscle growth and overall health.

The optimal supplements to take can vary from person to person, however a new study by Protein Works found roughly what can be beneficial at every age. While these can help, it is worth checking with a doctor before taking supplements.

Protein Works nutritionist Kyle Crowley said: “A balanced diet is always the foundation of good health. But supplements can play a crucial role in filling gaps, especially when specific health goals or dietary limitations are present.”

Supplements can improve overall health

GETTY

In your 20s – collagen and ashwagandha

Skin starts to lose elasticity in your late 20s and early 30s, so this could be a good age to get ahead of the curve. The expert said: “Collagen is the key production that begins to decrease in your late 20s which causes a reduction in skin elasticity and joint health, but supplements can be beneficial in minimising these effects.

“Research suggests that your 20s are often the most stressful period of life. Ashwagandha supplements can support mental well-being and anxiety during this time with career development and personal adjustments. The supplement helps manage stress hormones and reduce fatigue.

“For women, iron and vitamin B help support energy levels and overall health during menstruation.”

In your 30s – protein, B vitamins and magnesium

The expert continued: “Muscle mass tends to decline by about three to five per cent per decade after the age of 30. However, research suggests that a high-protein diet can help counteract this loss, with protein powder serving as a useful supplement to fill any dietary gaps.

“Metabolic rate may also start to slow, which can lead to fat accumulation if caloric intake is not adjusted. B vitamins can support this slowing metabolic rate – another supplement to consider to help counteract this. Meanwhile, magnesium helps improve mood and sleep while juggling family life and your career.

“For women, think folic acid and calcium. The most popular age to get pregnant in the UK is 30.9. Therefore, women need to take these to support a healthy pregnancy.

“For men, think zinc. Testosterone levels start to decline in your 30s. Taking zinc can also support those trying to conceive.”

In your 40s – calcium, vitamin K2, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid

Kyle explained: “Bone density starts to decrease, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. To support bone health, supplements like calcium and vitamin K2 are recommended, as calcium strengthens bones while vitamin K2 helps direct calcium to the bones instead of arteries.

“While vitamin C and hyaluronic acid help reduce signs of ageing due to significant collagen and elastin reduction.

“For women, magnesium can help ease perimenopause symptoms, which occur in the 40s for some, helping to regulate mood and minimise mood swings.”

In your 50s – creatine, vitamin D and vitamin K

The nutritionist advised: “Muscle mass and strength may begin to decline significantly for some, through a condition known as sarcopenia. To counteract this, creatine supplementation can help sustain muscle mass and strength.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Woman with beautiful skin

Collagen can improve skin elasticity

GETTY

“Joint degeneration and stiffness become more common as cartilage breaks down. Vitamin D and vitamin K can support joint health and reduce inflammation.

“Vitamin D and K help to combat joint degeneration and stiffness, which occurs in your 50s, by reducing inflammation. For women, vitamin E is recommended to alleviate any potential menopause symptoms like hot flashes.”

In your 60s – calcium, probiotics and vitamins B, C, and D

The expert added: “As the risk of osteoporosis increases, calcium can help strengthen bones; while vitamin D aids calcium absorption as bone density further declines during this time.

“Digestive function may weaken with age, leading to issues like diverticulosis. Probiotics can support gut health and improve digestion to help with any potential weakening.

“Cognitive function can also start to decline, with an increased risk of dementia. Vitamin B supplements, especially when combined with vitamin D, and vitamin C can help improve cognitive function.”

Cardano Price May Surge To $1 If These Factors Check Out

By |2024-11-10T06:05:16+02:00November 10, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

The price of Cardano (ADA) is taking a breather at the moment, a correction that becomes imminent after a period of epic rally. While the coin remains in the spotligh as one of the best performers in the past week, it’s future growth outlook has sparked a new bout of analysis. As a complete protocol, some of its core onchain metrics might help it retrace its growth path to $1.

Cardano Price Growth Catalysts

The ADA community is one of the most vibrant in the broader ecosystem. This has translated into onchain metrics like the whale transaction count, volume and daily active users.

Per the data from crypto analytics platform IntoTheBlock, the ADA whale transaction volume has jumped by 34% to $11.64 billion in 24 hours. Despite its relatively lower price, ADA is a major whale favorite. The coin has recorded more than 8,900 transactions within the period with a record 26.91 billion ADA moved overnight.

As of writing, the IntoTheBlock data, the Daily Active Users (DAU) on the protocol is also growing. This metric shows the number of users conducting or validating transactions in the network overall. The DAU suddenly spiked by 17.33% with over 44,460 addresses featured.

Though this metrics are not currently reflecting on Cardano price as of writing, a sustenance can help ADA maintain resilience above the $0.4 price mark. As of writing, Cardano price was changing hands for $0.4399, down by 1.99% in 24 hours. ADA has thus far traded within a tight range within this period. It went from a low of $0.4289 to a high of $0.4499 before resting at its current level.

This price level is the best Cardano has seen since mid-July, implying the slump is a potential correction on the path to $1.

The ADA $1 Price Dream

Despite soaring by 24.81% in the past week and by over 31% Month-to-Date (MTD), Cardano price is still more than 85% below its All-Time High (ATH) of $3.10. Many ADA proponents believes this ATH is achievable if it can beat the psychological level at $1.

Notably, the Cardano ecosystem is undergoing intensive changes at the moment, with Chang Hard fork and related updates changing its outlook. With global advances and decentralization pursuit, the note is that the demand for ADA might continue to grow in the coming weeks. If this demand materializes as expected, it might help push the coin toward the $1 price.

The Cardano community have started tipping Charles Hoskinson for Crypto advisor role to President Donald Trump. While this is far-fetched for now, if it become a reality, it can drive a massive ADA rally.

Solana Price Gears Up for $400 Rally as Analyst Predict ‘Next Week’ Breakout

By |2024-11-10T04:04:50+02:00November 10, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

The cryptocurrency market is gradually losing its bullish momentum, driven by the U.S. election boost. Amid the low volatility weekend, the Bitcoin price witnessed selling pressure at $77,000, signaling a post-rally pullback. However, crypto analysts believe the Solana price is poised for a major breakout from a bullish reversal pattern amid the TVL hike.

By press time, the SOL price had traded at $200.5 with an intraday gain of 0.45. According to Coingecko, the asset’s market cap surged to $94.58 Billion while the trading volume is at $4.3 Billion.

Analyst Predicts Solana Price Breakout Next Week, Targeting $400 Rally

This week, the cryptocurrency market experienced a massive inflow following Donald Trump’s victory in the 47th presidential election. As Bitcoin price hit a new high of $77,200, most major altcoins recorded a renewed recovery.

Thus, the Solana price records a sharp surge from $158 to $200, registering 28.8%. Crypto analyst Pentoshi highlights this recovery with a massive green candle in the weekly time frame chart, with a potential breakout coming next week.

The chart attached by the analyst illustrates the formation of a bullish reversal pattern known as the Cup and Handle. The chart setup typically begins with a rounded “cup,” where the price gradually recovers after a decline, forming a U-shaped curve. This is followed by the “handle,” a brief consolidation phase or slight pullback.

The Solana price prediction hints the buyers are 5.2% away from challenging the pattern’s neckline resistance at $210. A sustained breakout from the resistance will accelerate the recovery movement and end a multi-year accumulation.

Solana Price Gears Up for 0 Rally as Analyst Predict ‘Next Week’ Breakout
SOL/USDT – 1d Chart | Pentoshi

The post-breakout rally could drive the SOL price 114% up to hit the $435 high.

SOL’s Growing TVL Highlights DeFi Revival and Price Momentum

According to DefiLlama, the SOL’s total volume locked (TVL) witnessed a renewed recovery from $5.94 Billion to $7.15 Billion, registering a 20% jump. The rise highlights an influx of capital into Solana-based decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, suggesting increased user activity and trust in its network.

Generally, the price recovery backed by the TVL surge indicates a sustained recovery with the potential to drive an extended rally.

On the contrary, if Solana price experienced a renewed selling pressure at $210, the sellers could counterattack and continue the sideways trend.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Solana’s TVL saw a 20% increase, rising from $5.94 billion to $7.15 billion, signaling growing user activity and renewed investor trust in Solana-based DeFi protocols

Analyst Says Dogecoin Price Only A Few Weeks Away From New ATH If This Happens

By |2024-11-10T02:03:11+02:00November 10, 2024|Crypto News, News|0 Comments

Analyst Olivier has indicated that the Dogecoin price could be only a few weeks away from a new all-time high (ATH). The analyst further revealed what must happen between now and then so the meme coin could surpass its current ATH of $0.73.

Dogecoin Price Could Hit New ATH If This Happens

In an X post, Olivier mentioned that the Dogecoin price will only be a few weeks from a new ATH once it breaks above $0.23. The analyst’s accompanying chart showed that the foremost meme would rally to a temporary ATH at $1.6. Once that is done, the chart indicates that Dogecoin will rally further to $3.7.

However, based on Olivier’s chart, this $3.7 target won’t mark the top for the Dogecoin price as the meme coin is still likely to rise to as high as $32. The analyst predicts the Dogecoin rally to this $32 price target will happen sometime in May 2025. Interestingly, this ultra-bullish prediction comes just after crypto analyst Ali Martinez predicted that the foremost meme coin could rise to as high as $23 in this market cycle.

Martinez suggested that the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, could contribute to this Dogecoin price rally since he now influences US president-elect Donald Trump. Musk has already proposed the Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E) under the Trump administration, which is expected to draw more DOGE.

In his most recent DOGE analysis, Martinez also provided an update on the Dogecoin price action. He said that Dogecoin is currently consolidating within a descending triangle on the lower time frames. The analyst added that a break above the $0.198 resistance could spark a 10% rally to $0.220.

The DOGE Bull Rally Is On

In a recent X post, crypto analyst Trader Tardigrade again affirmed that the Dogecoin price bull rally has already begun. He explained that in Gaussian Channel analysis, DOGE follows this pattern. First, it attempts to leave the channel but fails, sending it back to the channel, supported by the mid-band. Dogecoin again makes another attempt and then finally exits the channel, leading to the start of the bull rally.

Trader Tardigrade confirmed that the Dogecoin price has left the channel and has commenced its bull rally. The analyst’s accompanying chart showed that Dogecoin could at least rise to $6 in this market cycle. He also recently suggested a $10 target was possible while revealing that the Dogecoin price had repeated a falling wedge pattern from 2021. Crypto analyst Dima James has also predicted that DOGE can reach $10 in this bull run.

At the time of writing, the Dogecoin price is trading at around $0.19, up in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Exposing Conventional Cotton

Modern conventional cotton products are posing serious risks to the environment and the health of humans through its heavy use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, this according to a new report from The Organic Center. “Pesticide, Fertilizer and Genetic Modification Use in Conventional Cotton in the U.S. and Globally: The Case for Organic,” highlights the science and details surrounding the concerns for the chemicals used in conventional cotton production across the world including the US. With cotton being grown in over 50 countries and the United States holding the title of its third largest producer, concerns began to grow over the industry’s extensive use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and genetically modified (GM) seeds.

This new report is a continuation of The Organic Center’s 2020 report “Organic Cotton: One of the most important choices you can make for the environment.” Dr Amber Sciligo, Director of Science Programs for the Organic Center explains the difference in this new version, “Our earlier report shows how organic cotton production prevents the use of toxic synthetic chemicals and promotes a healthy ecosystem. In this new report, we are strengthening our case for a change in most of the world’s cotton production by revealing the statistics and sharing the facts on chemical use in conventional cotton production.” Other key points from the report include:

  • In the U.S., some 42 million pounds of pesticides were used in conventional cotton production, ranking cotton as the most pesticide-intensive crop per acre of the nine field crops surveyed by USDA in 2019-2023, including corn, soybeans and wheat. Globally, pesticide usage for cotton ranks fifth among the top single global crops (after soybeans, corn, wheat and rice) with an average annual usage of 256 million pounds.
  • At least 98 pesticides were applied to cotton in the U.S., including almost 13 million pounds of the herbicide glyphosate. Exposure to glyphosate has been linked to serious health concerns, such as non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, other cancers, impaired neurodevelopment and more.
  • The top 10 pesticides used on conventional cotton in the U.S. pose numerous health risks: seven meet the United Nation’s Highly Hazardous Pesticides criteria, six are considered possible, probable or known carcinogens, three are considered “moderately acutely toxic” pesticides, and four are considered endocrine disruptors.
  • In the U.S., around 1.3 billion pounds of synthetic fertilizers were used on conventional cotton in 2021, making cotton the third most fertilizer-intensive single crop per acre among nine field crops USDA surveyed 2019-2023, behind only corn and rice. Of that total, nitrogen fertilizer accounted for nearly 700 million pounds. Nitrogen fertilizers are a major contributor to climate change by releasing the potent greenhouse gas nitrous oxide. Globally, fertilizer usage on cotton amounted to an estimated 16.4 billion pounds.
  • In the U.S., 96 percent of the conventional cotton planted is genetically modified. Globally, cotton was the third most widely adopted genetically modified crop by the 29 countries that have adopted the technology as of 2019.
