Gummy supplement tycoon TopGum Industries has completed the acquisition of Island Abbey Nutritionals, which was announced earlier this year.

The Canadian nutraceutical gummy and losenge specialist will signficantly expand TopGum’s North American footprint, allowing it to offer both R&D and manufacturing services to its customers — both in the region and further afield.

Located in Price Edward Island, Island Abbey Nutritionals currently operates out of a 65,000 sqft facility, housing advanced gummy manufacturing technologies such as starchless depositing and centre-fill capabilities.

The packaging and bottling portions of the site’s production lines are also fully automated, enhancing its overall production efficiency.

Adhering to the most stringent global regulations, Island Abbey Nutritionals has received certifications from Health Canada, the UK’s NSF and the US FDA, as well as Safe Quality Food (SQF) and GMP validation.

Through this acquisition, TopGum will now be better equipped to serve its North American customers, allowing the company to expand its supply chain into a new continent.

According to the company’s estimates, alongside Island Abbey, it will make an annual revenue of USD $100m.

“I want to extend my sincere congratulations to everyone who contributed to bringing this important transaction to a successful close,” said Eyal Shohat, CEO of TopGum.

“As we expand our global footprint and capabilities, we look forward to working closely with the Island Abbey team to unlock new growth and innovation opportunities.”

“We’re excited to bring our expertise, capabilities, and passion for product innovation into this new partnership,” added Dean Williams, CEO of Island Abbey.

“Together, we’re well-positioned to accelerate the next chapter of growth for our customers and employees alike.”
